We purchased a washer/dryer combo at Home Depot Labor Day weekend and arranged for them to remove our old appliances. I have not had the best of luck previously with their appliances but this time, everything went smoothly. Their delivery people (third party) called the day before and gave a four hour window. They called again when they were about 15 minutes away and were respectful removing and setting up the new appliances. Kudos Home Depot for a pleasurable experience. read more

Terrible customer service after 15 years of being a loyal customer... To upper management at the corporate office... I cannot tell you how terrible my experience was with Home Depot in Littleton, New Hampshire today...I was a given delivery date on some wood pellets ... I took the day off from work and received several emails that my order was out for delivery...15 minutes before the order arrived I got an email 1/4 pallets of pellets were being delivered. The driver came, struggled to get 1 pallet of pellets of the truck and tore up my grass while doing so...I called the store, got the run around from customer service, waited on the phone for more than 15 minutes and never spoke with anyone.l drove to the store and requested to speak with a manager in person after being told how short staffed the store is and how I wasn't the only unhappy customer with the delivery service.. Well how about fixing the issues!!!!???All I needed was to be contacted about my order so I could have went to work .Now I'll have to take another day off to get the rest of my order as I will be present when the driver drops off my order. I was very angry when one of the associates suggested I could go elsewhere.. well next year I will!!!.If this store continues to treat customers this way, they might find themselves out of business! I placed an online order on November 9th for a folding workbench. The Home Depot web site said that I would receive it at my home by November 15th. It was never shipped. The order status remained at "Processing". I then initiated a chat session with a customer support representative. That chat representative could not give me an explanation for the delay. He could not give me a new date of when it would actually be shipped. He couldn't tell me if the shipping was via a slow boat from China. And he couldn't tell me of a new date of when I might actually expect it to show up on my doorstep. Apparently, although I thought I was dealing with Home Depot, they sent my order to a 3rd party for order fulfillment. The Home Depot representative said that he could try to contact that 3rd party and get a new ETA for delivery, or I could cancel the order. I told him to get a new ETA, and he said that I would hear back on that order. The only email that I got on that order was one that simply said that the order was delayed. There was no new ETA, and said nothing more than "Delayed". I then initiated a new chat session with a different Home Depot representative to cancel the order. I was told that I could not cancel the order. So, I could not get any idea of when the item would be delivered, if ever! And I could not cancel the order. Although I live 2 hours away from a Home Depot, I needed to go to Littleton, NH for other business. Before heading to Littleton, I checked the Littleton Store's web site for that folding workbench. The web site said that the Littleton Home Depot had 7 of them just waiting to be picked up. Although I could not cancel the online order, I figured I'd visit the store, pick up a workbench, and if the workbench that I ordered online arrived at a future date at my home, I would simply return the product. I requested help in finding the product that was on hand and waiting to be picked up, and an older gentleman who obviously had trouble walking and used a cane arrived to help me. He was very nice, and said that he'd help me find what I was looking for. The gentleman searched high and low on aisle 11. He asked a lumber clerk if it could be somewhere in the Lumber section. Nope! He pulled a set of rolling stairs up and searched through the overhead boxes of merchandise in aisle 11. No luck. We went up and down several other aisles including aisle 1, where lightbulbs are sold. We searched high and low on aisle RT. Nope! We visited the garden section. No matter where we looked the gentleman, who was very nice and very persistent could not find what Home Depot claimed to have on hand, and that I wanted to buy. Finally, after spending the better part of an hour looking for the product without success, I politely told him that I could not waste any more of my day in continuing the search. I thanked him for his failed attempts and left the store empty handed. So, at this point in time, the online ordering did not work. And a personal visit to the store did not work. When I arrived home, I found another highly rated folding workbench on Amazon at about the same price as the Dewalt workbench, and placed an Amazon order. Within an hour after placing that Amazon order, I received notification that the item had been shipped via FedEx, and that it will arrive at my home within a few days. What Home Depot could not accomplish either via online ordering or via a personal visit to their store, was painlessly and easily accomplished with a few keystrokes at Amazon. It's 8:24 on August 22, 2024 . I was just in the Home Depot in littleton , NH and I was appalled at the way one girl cashier spoke to another gentleman cashier. she was very loud and down right rude to the young guy. the manager in a orange shirt said and I quote "40 more minutes " the young girl said "well that's 40 minutes to long" now as a guest this was disheartening to hear. her berating of the young boy then her all out disrespect of the manager. I'm all about woman being equal and all that jazz but to put another person down in front of others just shows how little respect she has for herself and others. As a guest( customer of your store ) it was very clear she didn't want to be there so her negativity could be felt by all. How very sad that you would allow this person to be on the floor with customers i guess next time I'll go to Lowe's and see if we can find a happy group that at least likes their jobs and don't make the customer feel like an inconveniences. I'm not a karen so I didn't say anything to the young girl but it really hit me the wrong way. I and many like me are the reason there are Home Depot's . it really feels like a slap in the face when one of your own doesn't even want to be there at their job and makes me feel like I said a inconvenience of her time. When we checked out the young guy was amazing and kind and him and my husband joked around about his truck. You need more cashiers like him. !!! I ordered my plasma cutter through here. The store is fully stocked and has everything you need. Since it's New Hampshire there is no tax. Online ordering is horrendous when picking up. Waited over a half hour for them to locate and dig through the unorganized chaos of online orders. People working there though were positive and helpful. read more

Home Depot did not deliver my appliance on the scheduled date and did not call until that evening. The delivery was rescheduled and again they did not deliver. I called the store that evening and was told that four other people had called stating the same thing. The next day a home depot employee called and told me that the company who was to deliver my appliance said I was not home. It was the second time we went there to buy an appliance. Once BEFORE COVID and again on January 23, 2021. Both times the sales person could not be bothered to help us. When we asked if we could buy a refrigerator that day and take it home, the sales person pointed to the sign and said ABSOLUTELY NOT. In fine print on the sign, it apparently said we couldn't get it for two weeks. Well we needed it that day since ours broke down. What store doesn't have at least some appliances in stock? And it was probably a good thing, because the sales guy didn't want to have to do anymore than he had to anyway. We went to Lowe's, spent $1000 and loaded a refrigerator in our truck the same day. There were TWO other people ahead of us that had the same experience and also bought their appliances at Lowe's that day. You might want to change your practices. And maybe change your condescending lazy sales rep in that department! We will not try Home Depot a third time for appliances. read more

In June, I ordered a new washer with delivery from the website, which clearly stated that the washer was shipping from the Littleton store. About a month later, on the scheduled delivery day, my phone rang. The 30 foot delivery semi was too big to make the turn onto my street, so they were going to drop the washer at the intersection. I told them that I couldn't accept that, since I don't have a pickup truck or large furniture dolly, so they took off. I called the Littleton store and everyone there denied any involvement with the order; they told me to call the corporate office to deal with customer service for online orders. However, when I tried to do so, the automated phone menus had no options to speak to a person, and the AI couldn't properly parse any of the information I gave it. The AI actually hung up on me several times before I found a hack online to break through the switchboard to an actual person. The actual person with whom I spoke was extremely quiet and mumbly. I could hear her cubicle-mate much louder than I could hear her, but she eventually was kind enough to connect me with another person who spoke clearly. That guy, however, told me that I needed to speak with the manager of the Littleton store to straighten this out. That was over a month ago, and I never did get a call back from him. I spoke with a few other people at the store and they promised to reschedule the delivery with a regular box van. I made it clear to them that I would have to take another day off from work, and I called at least three times to make sure that we were on the same page with the scheduled delivery date; however, the morning of the delivery, the girl who wouldn't give me her name told me that I was not, in fact, on the delivery schedule that day. They begged me to give one more chance and we agreed that it should be easy to make this happen, so, today, I again took the day off. Guess how that worked out... So... After several more hours on the phone, being transferred to managers who either hang up on you or just transfer you back to the service desk, I did finally get a refund. The entire ordeal only cost me three days of missed work, a delivery fee that they said they refunded, but the bank says otherwise, and a dozen or so Advil. I realize that this is not the best time for anyone, but certain things are just not acceptable practices: If you reschedule a delivery on your end, there is no excuse NOT to notify the customer, especially when there were already multiple problems, and when you cancel a delivery on your end, you a) MUST notify the customer, instead of waiting for them to call wondering what is going on, and b) MUST refund the delivery fee. I had probably spent nearly $20k at Home Depot in the past, some good experiences, some bad, but this is it for me- never again. The day after I got my refund, I placed an order online with Lowes. They delivered my stuff the next day without giving me any grief and didn't even charge for delivery. Home Depot, if you ever read this (I doubt you will), that's how it's done. read more

So our refrigerator died and we needed another one in a hurry. Scott in appliance bent over backwards getting our delivery date 3 days out because the model was not stocked. But then Samsung pulled a switcheroo at their end and pushed our delivery out a week. Scott was so concerned he offered us a loaner to get us through. While we were able to muddle along, we so appreciated his help and caring. We have had similar experiences with other employees at this store. I totally recommend this store. John Greer read more

This is probably the worst home depot customer service ive been to. I went in there the other day to buy some beadboard, glue and nailgun. I was looking for glue, but could not remember what isle the glue was in. So i saw one of the men wearing an HD apron. I only wanted him to point me in the right direction. All i said was Hi quick question? He cut me off the rudest way possible....Nope i cannot help you! Im helping another customer. Too busy. I was just blown away by the tone and rudeness. I didnt get his name, but he's tall older white man with large gut, where's sort of a safari hat, glasses. I hope you don't run into him if he's busy. As i continued to walk around feeling a bit embarrassed, and annoyed i saw another worker, but decided maybe id just not ask find it myself. Its terrible when you go somewhere and the make you feel so uncomfortable that you'd rather travel an hour to another HD or Lowes. Which is what i do. Its not the first time ive had a bad customer service at this HD. I work in retail many years of experience, i cant imagine that they still have a job. I would have been fired had i approached a customer in that manner. read more

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews about this place. My worst experience at a store occurred here. My husband and I had special ordered flooring. It came in a week early. Great! Or so we thought. We tried calling several times (as the message requested) to let them know we were going to be picking it up that evening. We tried several departments and called at least 6 times. When we did arrive there, we approached the customer service desk (which is not easy to reach by phone, as there are too many options to start with, let alone the options each initial option gives you. There was no customer service desk option) we told them who we were and what we had ordered. Lo and behold, the flooring manager happened to be there... and proceeded to give us attitude and be mouthy with us for not calling. We explained we had tried, but nobody answered no matter which option we tried. You'd think she'd be apologetic, but no. She said she'd be back with our flooring. My husband walked off to get something else and while he was gone, the flooring manager returned with the pallet of flooring. I met my husband at the only register open at that time of day (the opposite side of the store) and told him the flooring was ready. He went to the desk and told the two or three people standing behind the counter that he was there to pick up the flooring and the employees told him to *take the pallet and unload it himself*. The cashier we ended up with was nice enough to help, but while we were unloading the pallet (estimating that it weighed at least 300lbs) we saw that it really took two people to carry a 2x4 window to a persons car- or at least one to carry and the other for moral support. When I called the next day, especially since my husband hurt his back helping unload (mind you, there were three of us unloading) I was told that was just the way it was and we should have called ahead of time- that was the store managers response. Headquarters doesn't seem to care either. Initially, I thought it was a local issue, but that proves me wrong. I would rather travel 100 miles out of my way to shop at this Home Depot. read more

Ordered 3 items to arrive at the store. Was called and told the items were in. 2 days later I go to the store and on the way HD calls and tells me one of the items is damaged and would I like to reorder it. I say yes and that I'm on my way to pick up the other items (I live about an hour away). When I get there customer service has no clue about my order...but we finally get it straightened out. I get the 2 items...a vanity which had a piece of pallet and debris inside the box but it was undamaged and a mirror which unfortunately I didn't check til I got home. While at the store my husband and I picked out a vanity top. Online it said there were 2 in stock. One hour plus later the store associates said...well, guess that was a mistake. So we picked out a different one. When we get home we take a look at it and it is completely scratched up...it was a 49 Inch Vanity top. We call the store and the assistant manager says he has another but it is scratched too but maybe less than the one we have if we want to drive back and take a look. No, thank you. Then we open the mirror and I hear some noise...oh, the mirror is broken too. 4 high ticket items purchased at this HD and 3 were damaged. We call the 1800 number about the mirror because we bought it online. We inform them of the cabinet and the gentleman calls up the Littleton Home Depot to see if the cabinet was reordered and Littleton says no....they were waiting for us to tell them to. Well, I thought that's what I said when they called me days earlier... Sigh...waited 2 weeks for the order....and all in all it will take a month. Ridiculous. This Home Depot has got to be the worst ever. They have lost our business and I will only go to Lowes from now on. Nothing is worth the hassle of saving a few dollars even if we don't have a lot. I bought a washer and dryer with Shaun and Amy in the appliance section. I made a mistake in my order and had to cancel and re-purchase, all late in the evening when they were finishing up their shifts. Both Shaun and Amy were incredibly helpful and patient, set me up with a computer to look at washer reviews, then offered very good advice on what to get (and not to get, which is always rare). I was home when I realized my mistake in the order, but I was immediately able to reach Amy who called me back several times to check in as she was re-processing everything, and then made sure the customer service desk knew who I was so that they knew exactly what I was talking about when I called to check in the next day (and had already verified my cancellation so that I was ready to go). My experiences in Home Depot have always been the traditional terrible customer service (if you are even able to find someone) so I wanted to make sure I gave a shout out to this store because they were so surprisingly awesome and considerate. read more
