The key pad didn't work so the oven would only broil. The person on the phone advised I had to replace the oven or repurpose the space. He enthusiastically suggested a wine refrigerator and scheduled an appointment to review my options. A young man arrived; confirmed the oven needed replacement so I mentioned how the phone salesperson had suggested oven or wine refrigerator replacement options. 1) Gas oven: He advised not to replace it with gas oven and didn't recommend and models. 2) Electric oven: He discouraged an electric oven because of the existing gas hookup. Again no models shared. 3) Wine refrigerator: This was my last option and suggested by the phone rep. He remeasured and said that would not work because of a baseboard kick plate vent below. So I asked what CAN I put there and he told me to "go look at the website ". I said, well if you don't have a solution, let's table that for now. I'm also in the market for a new refrigerator. What do you recommend for replacement refrigerators? Answer: "Will YOU make up your mind?!" I complained to the company via phone how the salesperson was not helpful. The person was rude and offered no apology nor to send someone else out. Solution: I contacted the gas oven manufacturer and bought a replacement keyboard panel for about $100. I installed it myself in 5 minutes. The original oven works like new.

I bought a stove about a month ago. I used them because they are local and close by (less than 10…read moremiles) and I needed delivery. They gladly took my money and the sale and I still have not received the stove nor heard from them except for when they called soon after the sale to say they couldn't deliver due to road weight restrictions. I'm pretty sure the kitchen stove doesn't weight 6 tons but I'm not an expert like them. They suggested that I pick it up myself. like I said, I'm not an appliance expert but I don't think I can fit it into my small SUV or drag it into the house by myself. Shutters painted black with black coated hardware. Shortly after install the hardware / hinges rusted. Beach River Moll acknowledged the defect and had the manufacturer mail us new hinges Right away. Beach River said it was a painting defect with the company they use to source their hardware. We asked Beach River to replace the defective rusty hardware which involves removing and setting each shutter pair on a ladder. They first told us to hire a company do doing which we did not think was fair. They then indicated they would set up an appointment next month, then next season. The season came and went and now they will not return emails. We have to hire someone now to do this work that was jog our fault because they have opted to ignore us instead of ensuring their product looks good, which should be a win win for both of us. Disappointing.

I haven't counted them, but we probably own 30 or more items from the catalog -- the child's rocker, several tape-back rockers, several arm chairs, the Shaker wall clock, 4 or 5 of the lovely ceramic lamps, a couple of dozen Shaker boxes and carriers, among others. We've also purchased many items as Christmas gifts for our children. Recently, our oldest daughter's home suffered a fire and she lost nearly all of the Shaker items. We salvaged the cherry floor lamp, but discarded the electronics. I requested replacement electronics from Shaker Workshops and customer service kindly mailed them out very quickly and at no cost. It was much appreciated. Since the company's purchase by Tappan Chair Company several years ago, the Shaker Workshops catalog has shrunk considerably, to our chagrin, and we sincerely hope that it increases its menu of items in the coming years.
