I rented a truck here and overall, I was able to get the job done, which is the most important thing. The truck rental itself worked out fine and got me where I needed to go. Unfortunately, the experience at the counter left a lot to be desired. The employees I dealt with weren't very friendly or helpful when it came to getting the truck rented. A little better customer service would have made the experience much better. My husband and I visited this weekend for a gallon of paint and walked away with much more! Memorial Day savings were already in place. The garden center offered baskets of petunias, begonias and impatients. Several outdoor and garden related needs were on sale, some as much as B1G1. We left with a full basket of flowers, soil, weed killer, paint supplies, and decor. We used the self checkout. Fairly easy and an associate was nearby to assist. I'm going to generalize all my experiences in one review, so here goes: Ive dealt with several of the departments on this store--some very good, and some are piss poor. Not sure why the lawn area associates are so easy to track down, but the guy who is in power tools is a ghost. Cmon guys, like 50% of that section is locked! Someone should stand post there. I know personally this store has lost several sales to the saint matthews store just for the lack of someone being there. This location has tool and equipment rentals which is always a bonus. I think my biggest complaints are that the store seems undermanned and seems very sloppy/unorganized inventory. I've also had a few run ins where they didn't give me the military discount because my ID "wasn't valid". I have both a VA veterans card and the military drivers license... you know, Lowe's has it linked to your phone number after authentication. Take note. In all honesty, I'd shop at Lowe's exclusively if they carried Milwaukee tools. read more

This visit was my second at this location. The store is neat and orderly. My purchases was the lawn and garden department plants and pots and lawn special herbicide. Most was priced but when assistance was needed no one was in sight or was to be found nor arrived until finally after asking the outside cashier. There could be a few more people to help especially it's summer and the lawn and garden is at peak demand. One super bright spot was the cashier. She was awesome and friendly as well as welcoming when we entered "extra points here" :-) I still recommend HD for selection. Plenty of lot parking. Easy access entering and exiting. Home Depot did not install a new clothes washer properly ( completely forgot to attach drain hose) pressed start and let the washer destroy our laundry room and attached kitchen. We have only been offered roughly 30% of the damages by HD and are forced to live in the basement for months while the entire kitchen and laundry room are gutted to replace the sub floor. My husband is full time active duty military and we will be forced to live with 1/2 a house while he is gone for work . Do NOT trust Home Depot with your home. Not even worth 1 star!! I began a home renovation in August and met with Derrick & Mike in kitchen cabinets to get a new design going and to make sure everything was completed prior to me being ready to make it happen. Derrick wasn't skilled enough to even use the software, so Mike took over. At the beginning, I had no issues. Things seemed to be moving in the right direction, boy was I wrong!! Mike told us during our initial meeting with him on Sept. 10th that there would be no issues with getting everything installed and completed prior to my flooring coming in, early October. Mike was so incompetent when it comes to anything cabinet related that I had to drive to multiple locations across Louisville & Southern Indiana to obtain the cabinets because he never placed an order online. They then had their 3rd party contractor come out and measure... TWICE!! When asking Mike & the Contractor why they needed to do so 2 times, neither of them had an answer. Fast forward to about 2 weeks later & they come to install all cabinets. Come to find out, Mike had mis-designed and the contractor had mis-measured, so 2 of the base cabinets were the wrong size. Keep in mind, these are 2 that I had to drive to Clarksville, IN to pickup!! Mike then told me I would be looking at early January because the cabinet I had purchased was being phased out and they weren't readily available. I told him that was simply NOT an option because this was a HUGE mistake on not only his part, but the contractor who measured twice as well! He apologized many times, but that wasn't going to cut it after the headache they'd already created. After I took it upon myself to do some research, I noticed the cabinets I needed were in stock, could be ordered & delivered within the week. I immediately called & talked to Joe Brumley the COS for the store. He was extremely helpful and explained that I could order the correct cabinets, they'd refund the others and it would be a wash. I thought, okay... awesome! At this time, I then realized Mike thought I had an entirely different cabinet than what I actually had picked up. How? I have no idea when he was the one who gave me the exact part numbers so I could drive around town searching since he failed to have any initiative in placing an order. RIDICULOUS!!! I finally received the new cabinets, had the wrong ones refunded, and all was well. Do yourself a favor and visit a different Home Depot if you do choose to utilize their services!! Mike & Derrick both are about as useless as they come and seem to know absolutely nothing when it comes to their job. After driving around town picking them up myself, I knew more about part numbers & labels than they ever did. read more

As I'm inquiring to purchase an item Tanner proceeds to stand around cursing and showing his phone to someone with a vest on that has the word Coach on it along with 2 others. When I politely ask him to please not use those words around me he became aggressive while denying his choice of unprofessional words while I'm at the counter. I then asked for a manager because of the manner in which he began talking to me. However when the manager Josh came down he continued to berate me while I tried to share my experience with the manager. Stopped in here the other day to get some supplies needed for our new home. Home Depot is a great home improvement store and they usually have pretty much anything needed for the house. Was able to easily find the items needed for the garden and backyard without any difficulty. In terms of customer safety, this store does a great job of shutting an aisle down temporarily while they are accessing something from the top shelf. Great job to prevent injuries to customers. Furthermore, the staff at the store is very friendly. This store has one associate, Santa Walt, who is always so cheery and full of positive energy. God Bless Walt. I guess the service is hit or miss with this HD. Appliance delivery was scheduled, they apparently outsource this so they have no control when a mess up occurs. This "delivery" company did not call us or notify us in anyway about our delivery. Randomly showed up, never called then told us to reschedule. Perhaps their staff might be wearing masks which is a positive if they wear them correctly. During my last few times shopping over the past two weeks I noticed several staff with noses uncovered. Might as well not wear the mask. In addition, there hasn't been a single time walking through the store that at least 2 customers or more had no mask on at all. Every time I have been to this Home Depot the employees were all really friendly and if I needed help finding the right product they would point me in the right direction or even walk me to the product. I take my kids to the kids (1 year old and 2 years old) workshop that they hold on the first Saturday of every month and I can't express enough what an amazing event it is. It is a simple set up usually in the lumber section with tables made out of buckets and a plank of wood then addition buckets for seats. They provide all of the tools you will need to put together the project such as glue, hammers and screw drivers. We have been consecutively for the past 4 months and everything we have built there my kids have loved making them playing with at home. There is no preregistration; you just show up, sign in, they pass you a supply kit and if you need one then you also get an apron. What is even more amazing is that the kids workshops are all FREE!!! Once you have put together the project after following the simple instructions then you go back to where you signed in and they will give your child a pin for their apron. Everyone at the kids workshop area is also really friendly always trying to engage my children in a conversation. read more

We were happy with the quality and features of the Kraftmaid cabinets. Our designer knew the products and offered some valuable insights, but made multiple errors in specifications. Many of these we caught through the process of several meetings; two, both of which should have been caught by Absolute Construction's measurement, resulted in reorders and weeks of delay each. These "professional" measurements were charged to us. It is obvious that the gentleman who visited our kitchen did not measure, because he also did not catch the errors. Absolute Construction's installers were capable and made only a few mistakes, but the company was short-staffed, and neither the project coordinator, others in the company, nor Home Depot staff were prompt at returning calls to address issues. We had 3 different cabinet installers, 2 different plumbers, and 2 different electricians. Almost every person working in our home under Absolute Construction talked about how horrible the company was to work for and the previous employees had quit. Home Depot told us that Absolute Construction would rough in a sink for $250, yet when we spoke to the project coordinator, he said the cost was $500. I agree with the other reviewers that several times throughout the project there was an "unexpected expense". What was initially projected to be a 5-day installation turned out to take 187 days. When the mistake of the kitchen designer and the "professional measurement" was caught, Home Depot agreed it was their fault and would put a rush on the new cabinets. They estimated the new cabinets would be here in 2 weeks. The actual time was 8 weeks while our project came to a complete halt. The countertop installers did an excellent job and were cooperative in addressing a problem caused by miscommunication with HD. In the end, all was completed, and HD fairly resolved cost overruns that resulted from mistakes. I would only recommend using Home Depot for your kitchen design if you were my ex-spouse read more

Oh Sears today's Home Depot isn't what beat you. You use to go to Home Depot and you got service,advice, help from knowledgeable caring staff. They took the tool and appliance business with help of having lumber and a great paint store. Now that the king is dead and craftsman is owned by Lowe's... well it's a different day. My experience today at this Home Depot was I just needed a certain size pvc .. so I mosy on back to plumbing and there sits a forklift and a metal pipe cutting machine with caution tape around the lift. Down at the end of the isle a young man on his cell intentionality ignoring me as I look to him for help I have to get a ten foot pipe but I need to cut it so I walk up front to all the closed lanes and ask the one lady "can someone cut this for me?" Uhh? Yea well let me call someone so back I go ... My heart starts to leap as a older gentleman comes around the corner with a orange apron on " hi can you cut this half for me?" " well you can just do it yourself there's all the tools right there your welcome to use them" "so I can use the stores saws to cut my hand off errr cut this pipe?" Yep Meanwhile a young fella walks up and asks about some saws " oh well I built custom cabinets for 30 years and never used a saw only a router"blah blah I'm ignored now the other guy is dismissed for being foolish enough to ask about saws. After Saturday we will no longer shop with Home Depot. We are officially Lowes customers now. We rented a power washer on Friday evening to use Saturday. When we tried to use it Saturday the power washer was working, but the sprayer they gave us was bad. We went back to get a different sprayer so we could still use it within our 24 hr time frame. They did not give us a replacement sprayer, they took the rental back and charged us the full 24 hr rental price. NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

This place is terrible. There are more people running around with Home Depot vests on then there are parking spots. With one register open it's like you have to buy something on the raceway by the time you get checked out or you're not one of the norm LOL. I went into get a ring doorbell for $99 which is the same price it is everywhere. There were none on the shelf so I had to go to customer service which is always fun, waited in line, got someone to open up the cage, got one of the door bills, went to the checkout... At the checkout I asked for a military discount he said that's fine it rang up zero dollar discount is apparently the item that I bought in the store is an online item only however that works LOL. I then went to customer service and found out that they do not give military discounts to online items anything for sale or anything of the sort. The 10% must be taken off a normal every day over price. Today I went to Lowes, pulled out many pressure treated boards and asked for them to be cut. Lowes employee informed me that they do not cut pressure treated boards. This was news to me and I wish there would have been a sign stating that before i pulled out and loaded a cart with $200 worth. I call Home Depot and ask (before I go) if they cut pressure treated boards....yes they do. Got there, started looking for what I needed and an employee in the lumber department (David) started helping me locate and pull all the sizes...Then he proceeded to cut them by himself and suggested I finish my shopping and come back when he's finished. I am so incredibly disappointed in the absolute lack of customer service experienced both in store and by phone at 800-466-3337. My mother placed an order on 7/30/20 at the Westport Rd, Louisville KY location, and there were several items that needed to be shipped from California. The items shipped and have been in Indianapolis (2 hr drive) since August 6th. She tried to get information from someone at the store today, he practically mocked her and was NOT helpful in anyway. She asked for a manager numerous times before she was transferred to someone (Greg??) who said he could not help her at all. He was not even willing to call corporate customer service to help. He then hung up on her. My mother was shocked. I have tried to help on her behalf, and have been on the phone for OVER an HOUR, with zero help from the last person who I spoke with. I have names but will not post here. I also have screenshots of the amount of time I was on hold. Her items are 2 driving hours away. We could go and pick them up ourselves if given the opportunity. We were shopping for a washer and dryer the first time and when we finally chased someone down to help us, he clearly could've cared less. Well that $1500 went somewhere else. Stupidly, I came here again to shop around for a Reno project. Well let's just say I won't be back. At least not to this location. The employees are extremely rude. Especially the women in the kitchen showroom. My friend and I were standing there waiting to be helped and they were all just sitting and chatting. When I asked for help I was directed to someone who looked down her nose at me the entire time. So no, I do not plan on blowing 5k+ on countertops and cabinet parts here.
