    Missing Microwave

You could improve by first, calling back your customers. It's been close to a week with no return call from the manager who was "in a meeting". Is this a meeting that never ends, or do you ignore all your customers and hope our problems resolve on their own. I am new to the area and have spent close to $10000 on merchandise in the Mechanicsville store. I have an issue with an LG microwave I spent $500 on. The installer recommended by Home Depot could not hang the microwave and I believe he broke it as well. Home Depot of Mechanicsville was asked to at least give me store credit and take back the microwave so I could purchase a hood for over the stove and a counter top microwave. I was told since I didn't contact them within 48 hours of the appliance delivery they could not help. Their own delivery person did not install the microwave on the delivery date as he was suppose to. This would make the 48 hour window impossible to follow in my situation. They left the microwave and said because I had a tile backsplash I had to find someone else to do the install. Huge lie!!! I have had microwaves installed in NJ by Home Depot on a tile backsplash. When the installer came from the recommended referral by homedepot he said I had to find longer screws. I was running around and calling places trying to get longer mounting screws for a week. LG no help either. He came back and tried to hang it but still could not do so. I was told by customer service at the store the manger would call me back. So far no call. I am expected to just let the $500 microwave sit in my garage. I WILL NOT be purchasing another item from your store and will also advise others not to as well. You provided nothing no assistance you just let it go. I will not give any Home Depot another penny. The corporation as well as the local Mechanicsville store were horrible. Lowe's will be my go to store. If I could give you zero stars I would!!!

Whenever I need plants or gardening items, I check here first. Their prices are very reasonable and most of the time, their plants are in really good shape. They have a good selection of plants as well as foods and fertilizers. I've gotten so many plants from them that have just flourished! The only downside is that it depends on the staff on duty as to how much they know and are able to help you with the plants. If I want something and they don't have it, I've had employees at this location take the time to help me go to the website and find it, then figure out free shipping. When my mom wanted an item and the website said they had a lot in stock but we only saw the floor model, a few employees went out of their way to go looking in the back in the unpacked delivery. They found a bunch of them and brought them all out to us! Now we have a nice wood cooler for the summer. The staff at this location are very nice, their selection is really good, and they take really good care of the plants. This is my favorite home Depot, locally, and it's not just because it's right across the street from my neighborhood.

    Missing pieces
Paid for new grill and to be assembled with delivery. They sent me one that was on the floor for months.

I have purchase several big ticket items at Home Depot in Ashland VA and have been very disappointed with quality and service. Purchased new Lawnmower and batteries where taken out and sealed back up. Come to find out when I got back home. Purchased new grill online and selected to be delivered. It was, and it was a floor model for months. Cobwebs and missing part on the grill. ----I WOULD RATHER PAY $$$ extra at another store than go through the headaches at Home Depot. I was looking for more information about the speed queen washers & dryers. They were informative on the inner mechanics and workings of the appliances. I had clearly…read moreexplained the issue over the phone and even offered to send photos beforehand, but that wasn't taken up. When the technician arrived, I showed him the small plastic latch piece that had broken off. He only briefly looked at the washer itself and quickly concluded that the issue required a full lid assembly replacement costing around $400-$450, along with an $80 service charge for the visit. Afterwards, I purchased the replacement latch part from another appliance store for about $13 and replaced it myself in a few minutes after watching a repair video. The washer is now working properly. My concern is that the specific broken part I identified was not really evaluated, and the diagnosis felt very quick given the simplicity of the actual repair. I understand technicians rely on experience, but in this case the solution turned out to be far less complex than what was quoted. Overall, I left feeling that the issue wasn't fully considered, which led to an unnecessary service fee and a much more expensive repair recommendation than was needed.

Our dryer died. It…read morewas unexpected only because we expected the washer to go first. I spent hours looking at reviews, applying for a box store credit card, loading up my shopping cart with extended warranties and parts only to come to the very end where the box store indicated that the product I wanted could be delivered, but there was no professional installation available. Say what??? Everyone knows that if you don't have their installers handle the installation, the moment you try to use that extended warranty that you've purchased they will tell you, "the warranty was voided by the installer." NOPE, not going to happen. So I came on yelp. Appliances on Lakeside had great reviews, was local, and nearby. Couldn't ask for more. We walked into the store and were greeted immediately. Mr. Ray came over to help us. I explained that I was looking at their GE machines on-line and we wanted to purchase a washer and dryer. I went from the top-of-the-line to a "lower" model because I really didn't want all the bells and whistles (15 functions???? I need maybe 3 and no, I don't need wifi because honestly, I don't care if my wash is done - I'll move it to the dryer when I get to it). Mr. Ray looked up the machine I was interested in, and while it was going to take at least 3 weeks for delivery, the price was even less than what was on the show room model. I like less. The installation (professional!) along with the recycling of the existing is all one price. The parts (new hoses are a must) were less than the box store. The warranty (same amount of time and basically the same price) is actually BETTER than what the box store covers. I'm liking local. I like walking out of a showroom happy about my purchase.

I am finally so glad for the great service of Andrew from Fusion. I found him to be very talented, honest, reliable, hardworking, committed. Probably attitude is not the best, little short-tempered, but that is acceptable while I get such a reliable service for complicated problems like HVAC. I would go with a less nice but reliable and honest HVAC guy to resolve my HVAC problems rather than super nice but unreliable tech. And of course the price charged for the repair was very reasonable. I guess service of Andrew and Fusion is already popular, but I wish further success of his business.

He also came out to look at our dishwasher that was no longer running one of the cycles successfully. He gave really good advice as well. All in all, Fusion provided excellent service at very fair and competitive pricing. Moreover, the way that they structure their pricing so that you don't pay for unsuccessful repairs is excellent. That's really putting your money where your mouth is. They're definitely my go-to for appliance repairs. Great stuff.
