    Paint Area

I hate giving bad reviews but after today's experience? I had to. I've only been to this location a few times but I NEVER ACTUALLY NEEDED HELP FROM SOMEONE UNTIL TODAY! Walked in and they had a whole meeting right in front of one of their main aisles. Like there was at least 8 of them in a circle in the middle of the aisle. So my mom and I walked around in another aisle because we trying to get our stuff and dip because something about Home Depot ain't got no AC and they only have fans even though it's 100 degrees outside. Anyways, we waited about 10 minutes at the paint area and obviously ain't no workers working there. Whole meeting can obviously see us but ain't nobody bother to help. So, my mom and I walked around to grab other things and circled back to the paint area. Ain't nobody there. So then my mama goes to customer service and requests for help. Wait another 10 minutes and ain't nobody shown up. They got at least 5 people up front. So then I'm walking and making my way to customer service. I'm asking, I'm standing, I'm staring and only then is when someone offered help and assisted us. Like dude, I didn't have to go to the extent. I understand people got their own department and such but at least let us know help is only the way or communicate with us.

Every time we visit this Midwest City, Oklahoma Home Depot location we have a great experience. The employee working and watering in the garden center answered all of my questions and was very helpful today. This is our one stop shop for all of our home improvement projects. The store is always clean and organized. I can't wait to come back and buy more goodies!

D and I have really been interested in gardening the last couple years and the Home Depot has really been there for us. Yes, we have bought things from Lowes as well but that's besides the point. They have a great selection of flowers, trees, bushes, herbed, etc. We practically want to buy one of everything! There's also a great selection of other gardening tools, pots, soil, mulch, stones, fencing, etc. Tip: Check out can be kind of slow outside in the garden center or inside.

Does not honor veterans discount. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I recommend Lowes, they treat veterans right.

The orchid I chose at TLC had a couple of areas on the leaves that looked like cotton. I took it back to the information desk and the women wiped off the white area and told me it would be fine. My husband purchased the orchid for me for $60.00. Unfortunately, the white chalky substance kept coming back. I googled the information and found out it had mealybugs. I followed the directions to clean the area with alcohol. After trying to remove it for two months without success, I took the plant back to TLC today to ask for help. Paul, the manager was at the front door and told me to go to the middle of the store to talk to the woman at the information desk. She determined the mealybugs were in the potting media which is why I could not eliminate them with alcohol. She said she could repot the orchid but there would be a cost. Obviously, the potting media was infected when the orchid was purchased two months ago. I was insulted when told I would have to pay for the repotting process. I spoke with the manager, Paul, and he told me house plants do not have any type of warranty. I learned a lesson today. I will not buy house plants from TLC! I will buy them at a business that carries a warranty for a third of the cost! Susan M Reply to Frank on July 18 Frank, I would appreciate a retraction on your response. The orchid WAS purchased at TLC on May 6! The above story is accurate except for the amount spent ($50 instead of $60). I had not looked up the receipt before coming by TLC yesterday. The reference number on the receipt is 32073802. The total amount spent that day was $122.70. I have 6 very healthy orchids purchased at different locations. The white pot left with the orchid must have been switched while watering. The orchid purchased from Whole Foods is healthy and doing well. Actually, over the years I have never had a problem with an orchid being affected with mealybugs except for the orchid purchased at TLC. One statement you made is correct. This is the first review I have made on YELP because I wanted to let others know that customer service is questionable at your business. I understand policy is policy on the return of houseplants. I was not upset until being told there would be a charge to repot the plant. It didn't make sense for me as the customer, to pay to correct a problem that I wasn't responsible for. It would have cost very little for your employee to offer to repot the plant for free.

The first thing I noticed was how charming it looked from the road. We turned into the nursery and down a path full of gorgeous ceramic plant pots of all sizes and colours. Parking was ample and convenient. As we entered the green house we were greeted by a friendly "hello". My eyes lit up at all the pretty decorations, plants, and flowers as I scanned for succulents. All their plants look well cared for. Green and luscious. Healthy. There were many succulent varieties and I felt like a kid in a candy shop. As I'm fairly new to the hobby (been at it for just a month) I wanted baby succulents as I love to feel accomplished tending to them and seeing them grow. They had many 4-inch pot plants but very few 2-inchers. Still, I managed to find a baby bear's paw and cobweb plant I wanted. We went up to pay and the staff/cashiers were happy and friendly. Such a nice atmosphere! It must be so calming and pleasant to be among plants and flowers everyday for them I'm definitely coming back to check out their succulents again.

The allure of this shop is they have a lot of cute plants + fashionable containers that have found each other in a perfect marriage. Although most places that do the work for you do charge a convenience fee--so no surprise there. Sometimes it's nice to pay a little more and have the plant project be done without running to several different stores (or getting your nails dirty). That's where The Plant Shoppe comes in. I guess if I averaged this out I should be rating The Plant Shoppe a 4 but I just couldn't do it. This place has been on my radar for a while because of the succulents and as we walked by one evening (after closing time), we saw a huge and beautiful bird of paradise int he window. We went back to inquire. There was only one other person in the shop. We waited patiently until she left to inquire. We were simply told, "It's not for sale" and the clerk immediately went back to her phone. We did end up buying some totally overpriced cacti. I might be back. Work on friendliness though.
