Of course the only one on the shelf was on the top of the shelf close to the ceiling. Hymale, was the associate who went up and got it for us. Installation was easy and highly recommend. Most of the day was busy and a little stressful and I needed installation items for the new dishwasher we purchased from Home Depot that has not yet arrived. Have always found this store has excellent customer service. My issue is about a recent visit. Here's the text I sent to Home Depot customer service online. We were approached by an employee about $25 gift card for a 30 second survey. This lead to someone will bring the card by your home and do a free water test. 2 hours of demonstration! And we had to ask for the card! It sure makes us question your business practices with the company Rain Soft. We would have never agreed if we knew it would be 2 hours and a $10k investment. I understand that a few employees don't represent an organization as a whole. But mother of pearl, this Home Depot has an incredibly high ratio of unhelpful:helpful employees. I mean, other than the guy who greets you when you walk in, and some of the employees in the paint department, pretty much everyone else is either hiding from you, or unwilling to help when you manage to find them. There's an older man in appliances who is quite possibly one of the most useless human beings we've dealt with in recent years. He's the kind of employee that will only provide information when asked. Like, you could be standing there talking about an appliance that you're considering, and this dude will stand next to you, and not say a word while you're trying to engage him so that you can make an informed decision. Every question will result in a one-word answer. And then when you finally tell him that you have decided on the appliance you want, he responds with a "No." "No? Why No?" you ask, and he says they don't have any more of those appliances. Could you not have said something during the last ten minutes that we stood here and kept asking you questions about that specific appliance, you non-contributing zero? Gawd! read more

Ran in to grab some blinds, ended up having to get them cut. The lady I approached was very nice but she needed assistance from a fellow worker and although he was in the middle of something he stopped to assist. He worked really hard to get us what we needed and cut the blinds perfectly. He suggested cutting them a smidge if a smidge shorter than we asked for and he was absolutely correct. He was very helpful, nice, and joking around with us the entire time. It's always refreshing to encounter people that actually enjoy and take pride in their job. Ask three people where an item was at in the store. No one knew so I looked on line said it was I stock. Went to the service center to ask again and was told online only. So I found the item on my own then went to ace hardware to buy do to they don't seem to know the inventory or where it is located so I will not be shopping there anymore. Maybe to price compare. We're seriously considering a partial kitchen remodel, and we came here to meet with a designer, James. He was really nice, and very patient with us, considering we haven't totally made up our minds about all of it yet, which is hard to do when you don't really know the price of anything! We took in good measurements, and some photos to give a frame of reference of our kitchen. He had a great program where he could make changes to the design quickly based on our feedback. He can move the cabinets and configurations around so you can see what it will all look like when it's put together. It still feels daunting, to have to make all the decisions on your own, with an hour and half with your designer. I imagine this must be why people hire contractors to help them decide, help make sure the decisions are the right ones. But overall, this was a nice experience - a bit of a pipe dream that is slowly becoming a reality of making a better kitchen for cooking and entertaining! read more

We love the Free Kids Workshop Home Depot offers on Saturdays! It's a great way to do "crafty" projects without the mess at home and they provide ALL of the supplies. They even provide the kids with a free Home Depot apron that looks like the employees' aprons. When the kids finish their projects, they receive a certificate and a pin of achievement to add to their apron. Such a great idea, Home Depot! If you haven't tried it out, bring the family and try out this free activity! (An added bonus: Home Depot often gives out free hot dogs on Saturdays too...this is a huge hit with our kiddos!) read more

I literally encountered 4 separate employees either greeting me or asking if I needed help within the first 7 minutes of being here. I looked up my items (outdoor lighting) online, set them on my list and walked right to their location thanks to Home Depot's app. The lighting person helped me by setting up a no risk estimate with an electrician to install - just as a comparison to the person I usually use. I've had Home Depot install my refrigerator and dishwasher and was extremely satisfied. So yeah, I like Home Depot and I especially like this location. Highly recommended. read more

I am a business owner myself and hate to see any complaints, especially when it could've easily been avoided. With that being said, I know it's a hard time currently for businesses with all the public concern about Covid19. In early April I needed an extension cord so I ordered one online for curbside pick-up at store #3902 and it said it was in stock so I went to pick it up. I got there and they said it was not in stock but advised me I could get refunded for the original purchase and pick out another one. This was after my whole family sat in our car for over an hour waiting for them to find out it wasn't in stock. I really needed an extension cord for some work we were doing around the house so I reluctantly picked out a much cheaper one and paid for it. I was never refunded for either extension cord until I called in and talked to a manager who did give me a refund but it was for the cheaper one and not the $60 one that I had originally ordered. I own a very busy health and life insurance company and I didn't have time to worry anymore about the situation so I just ate the cost and moved on.  /   incident #2) -  Today, May 6th, I ordered a garbage disposal online. I noticed afterward that it was actually to be shipped to my house but it would take 10 days to receive it, our disposal broke last night and we are a family of 5 so I just can't wait 10 days esecially with 3 kids at home and schools being closed. So, I called up to Store #3902 and talked to a girl working there who said she would see if they had one in the store and I waited on hold for 5 minutes for her, she came back on and said yes they had 2 in the store and would hold 1 back for me at the customer service desk and then they would have to refund me the online order and then charge me for the pick up order. Which I was fine with. I drove up to the store to pick it up which is about 6 miles from my house and I went in to get it then I was told that no they didn't have any in stock but she could call another store and see if they had one. Store #3919 did have 1 so I drove the 10 miles to the other store which is another 20 minute drive further away from my house. I went inside to pick up the garbage disposal and the people their had no clue what I was talking about, the CSR girl named Bridany was pleasant and helpful in the beginning but with every passing minute she seemed put out and bothered about my issue and became pretty unpleasant. She did go and check and found the correct disposal, but then after 30 minutes she said that it was too late and I would have to pay an additional $217 and then wait for the unneeded delivery then bring that on back in 10 days to get refunded. Needless to say I was pissed off by this time. The 6 mile run up the road for a garbage disposal had to into a 3+ hour debacle. I told Bridany I would just wait the 10 days for the delivery and left to drive the 14 miles home in rush hour traffic.  Home Depot is the closest and most convenient place for my family to go but we will never set foot in another Home Depot again. I will try out Ace Hardware and/or Lowe's from now on and we will just have to make the extra drive. Between the 2 issues it cost me about 4 hours of my time and I make $150 an hour on average so these issues were extremely costly for me. Like I said, I know it's different and a little crazy right now with the Corona-virus everywhere but you really shouldn't open your stores if you can't take care of your customers. read more

Ok, so my love-hate relationship with Home Depot has been saved by 2 very good, knowledgable, helpful young men Phillip & Jason. Thank you guys! Phillip can cut any piece of wood with great precision and is a wealth of knowledge in all things woodworking. Jason works in the tools department, my favorite ;-) power tools! And boy oh boy does he know his stuff! They are both friendly, attentive, and extremely good at what they do. To bad Home Depot supervisers are not the same....the only reason Im leaving 1 star off is because while Jason was trying to help me, his superviser rudely interrupted us asking did he answer the phone? I looked at him and said No I thought you did. He huffed & walked away...Good!!!!!! Again, thank goodness for Phillip & Jason!!!! It's a good store and I have always had good customer service response. A common problem with these type of stores is pulling damaged and pilfered merchandise from the shelf. In this regard I'd give HD a B. You have to check and make sure everything is on the package you're buying or that it hasn't ever been opened by a thief. Sometimes I find a package tapped back closed and won't buy them. In general wood products are rough everywhere but at HD you will still find a few boards for sale graded #2 that should be in the trash or discounted as damaged. Buyer beware. read more

I had bought a grill on sale. I found out why it had been on sale when I got home. The igniter didn't work they said it was a battery issue, so I had my husband replace the battery. It still didn't work. Then we find out it had severe rust issues. The customer service was more than lacking on this issue. I used to come to this store all the time, not anymore. I am going to find a new place to buy any home improvement products/supplies. On my last visit I was harassed by the employees, constantly asking if I needed help finding anything, two of them asked me and my friend MULTIPLE times if they could help us find anything, one employee even told my friend, "maybe you should go to the isle you came here for and look at the clearance on that isle." When my friend said she was just browsing their clearance sections throughout the store. Last time I checked stores WANT their customers to browse the store, that's how they make money on you purchasing things you might not necessarily need. I spent well over 100$ on that trip and I honestly was so put off by their breathing down our necks I didn't want to buy anything at all. read more

I don't know why but the customer service at that store is so unpredictable. 75% of the time it's terrible. I had a grill I bought online sent to the store to save $55 on shipping. Went to the customer service desk as per the directions emailed to me. The lady at the desk... acted so flustered like she was trying to put out fires or something. After looking for like 1 minute a he tells me that my order was at the Pro desk. I hop over to the unattended Pro desk. Wait 5 minutes till I grab a random employee walking by that acts like I'm crazy for even asking him to help me. He "helps" me by telling me to go back to customer service and get paper work. I go back and luckily was helped by a gentleman who knew what he was doing. He got my grill in less than 5 minutes and offered free grill assembly and to help me load it up. I go Home Depot because it's the closest of the Box stores.... but I'm going to make the longer drive to Lowes, where the customer service is a lot better. Home Depot is clearly geared for high volume contractors vs DIYers. read more

We purchased a fridge here a week and were told it would be delivered by Saturday, June 1st. Then we got confirmation that it would be delivered between 1:30PM and 5:30PM on Saturday, June 1st. We wasted our whole day yesterday making sure we were at home for it's delivery, then at 4:45PM get a message saying that it will not be delivered until today, Sunday, June 2nd sometime. My husband already hada very important party for a grandparent to attend (the only one we have left with her before she dies) and I'm in the hospital with our other child, so we can't just drop everything and be there. My husband explained everything to the delivery driver who called and he said he'd call my husband right back, he lied, he never called back. Now we don't get our fridge today (we don't have a fridge b/c ours broke 2 weeks ago). And now we don't know when we will get it. Very frustrating, very unprofessional. The only thing good about this Home Depot is the greeter, and they're usually kind. Otherwise you're on your own, whether taking the kids to the kid workshop, looking for help picking out tile, needing recommendations for carpet, or ordering a fridge and getting it delivered. Hopefully we'll get the fridge soon and hopefully we'll make better choices in the future and pick a different store to shop at. read more

I've been to this Home Depot several times and it is not my favorite. I have NEVER had the help loading items into my car that they say they have. Today, I (with my sister) loaded 37 large paving bricks to the cart and then into the car. The guy they page for assistance showed up literally as we loaded the last brick, ugh. I Home Depot has always been, while not perfect by any means, a somewhat dependable place to shop. I bought a Toro 20333 Mower 11 months ago and now it won't start up after more than 50 pulls over 3 days "Guaranteed To Start", my shiney, white buttocks. I distinctly remember the salesman telling that I had a 1 year warranty. Toro used to make excellent mowers but it looks like time has passed them by. Now I have to look for a Toro dealer nearby so that they can tell me "Sorry, Thingy X isn't covered. Stay away from Toro and Home Depot. I'll be doing a Yelp, Google review and a YouTube video to warn people why I believe they should stay away from Toro and Home Depot by showing them in hi-def. The video is debatable because now I see countless videos on this and other Toro mowers. As far as Home Depot goes, that's up to you. As for me, I'm going to make it a point to shop there only as a last resort. read more
