Home Depot used to be the best, now it's the worst. Its Billing Department needs to go back to grade school and learn Basic Math. This review has nothing to do with my local Home Depot store, the employees there are the best of the best. This is for the incompetence of Home Depot. My July Home Depot statement was delayed by the USPS. It was finally delivered on Saturday July 12, 2025. The statement is due July 10, 2025. I quickly went to my local Home Depot store on the 12th and paid the amount due and explained to the manager what had happened, due to the fabulous service that USPS gives and if they thought I would be charged a late fee for a damaged late bill that I had just received. She said hopefully not as their store has had problems with their own mail. Anyway, getting back to the point. After being alerted that my Credit Score has taken a large hit, I called Home Depot Credit Customer Service and talked to Jose' and explained the issue. He had made notes and put in for the late fee to be waived. Problem solved right? NO! The August statement arrives on time but there is this $29 late fee on the bill that was supposed to be waived. I called Home Depot Credit Customer Service again and spoke to Megan and she advised that the late fee has been removed and to continue paying the regular amount of $91 even though this bill was asking for $122. Another thing the math does not add up. $91.00 + $29.00 late fee comes up to $120.00 in my book. The September statement arrives and amount due is $152. So once again I called Home Depot Credit Customer Service and spoke to Sebatian and was handed off to Cythia and explained to her the original issue with the statement being delivered two days late after the due date. She never gave me an acceptable answer except to pay $31.00 now (08-20-2025) and to pay $121 on the upcoming September statement which is asking for $152.00! I will never give Home Depot anymore business EVER! I hope you never ever have a problem with their billing, because you will be screwed. I have since shredded their card and will continue to spread the word that their Credit Customer Service Department SUCKS!!! Oh and to make things even better, I receive a letter from Home Depot Credit Sevices on 08-21-2025 dated 08-16-2025 and my credit limit of $10,300 has been lowered to $3,400 and was based on (1) History of delinquent credit obligations on your account with us (2) Number of accounts with delinquency (Home Depot only) (3) Length of time credit history was established (August 18, 2023) (4) Portion of balance to credit limit too high on your account with us. Of the three-year history with Home Depot Credit only a couple of a month of the messed-up Credit Customer Service 07/12/2025 - 08-/20/2025 does not equate to a history. Now with all that out in the open, this is the way I roll. When the bill comes in, I always date on the envelope to be paid by the day before it's due, always online so to have a confirmation number of it being paid with date paid, for my records. Until this screw up with the USPS, everything was fine and as far as the credit to limit ratio it is well less than one third. The rest was caused by the incompetence of Home Depot Credit Customer Service for not listening or caring enough to fix things correctly. Don't get me started on the lack of competence of our Glorious USPS that wants more money and less responsibility! Timeline: 07-12-2025 Received damage Home Depot statement due 07-10-2025 07-21-2025 Credit Alert (Home Depot Hit) 07-21-2025 Jose' advised the late fee is waived (NOT!!!) 08-18-2025 Morgan advised late fee removed and to just pay normal payment of $91. 08-20-2025 Sebastian handed me off to Cynthia and was advised to the idiotic fee payment to bring my account back to current and the math not making any sense. 08-21-2025 Receive Letter from Home Depot that credit limit is lowered. Last weekend (07/15), my boyfriend and I were coming to rent a weed eater because ours finally hit the dirt. I called the tool rental place here and the Stephen (I think that was his name) was SUPER helpful and put it aside for us to come and get it. Upon arrival, him and his manager (I cant remember his name) instructed us on how to get it set up and to call them if anything comes up. THAT was such wonderful customer service. Today (07/22), I walked in looking for a leaf blower and I was helped by Dwight, Dave, Michelle, Alex, and Bobbie. When I tell you, ALL of these individuals went above and beyond to assist me in getting what I needed, I MEAN IT. If you are looking to choose between Lowes and Home Depot, CHOOSE ORANGE!! We have always shopped at HD, but this type of customer service is dutifully appreciated and will have me coming back time after time for my hardware/garden needs!! Thanks Guys!! read more

Went into Home Depot Olive Branch on 4/4/21 and purchased a washer, dryer and refrigerator for our new home. Paid in full $5,000 with a Home Depot promise to have our appliances delivered on 4/17/21, this is the reason we purchased the items. After 4 re-schedules, almost a month later, no appliances have been delivered as of today 5/3/21. Home Depot relies on a "vendor" for delivery, so you pay Home Depot who pays the vendor who supposedly has the product in stock and vendor delivers. The chain link is broken somewhere because the vendor cannot come thru. Who suffers? the customer who paid in full. Spoke to the vendor who gives me no reason why the multiple reschedules have to take place, only that they can deliver next Friday 4/7, another promise. There is no reason given and that is what is disheartening. My concern is that the products aren't even in stock yet the company is continuing to take orders and collect $$. Be careful. I wouldn't want anyone to go thru what we are going thru. No washer, dryer and fridge for a month, maybe more. read more

Spent a few minutes looking for an item and couldn't find it. I then went to ask an associate for assistance and she sent me to another associate. After speaking that associate I was sent to a THIRD associate who STILL didn't know where that item was. So after about 20 minutes of playing musical aisles with them we were FINALLY able to find the item that was in a completely different section. Welcome to 2021. read more

This Home Depot is terrible. Two bad experiences is enough for me. About a month ago we were painting our baseboards, and the lady in the paint department seemed like she knew what she was talking about. Little did we know, she did not. We got home with our paint and noticed it didn't cover, only to talk to another employee and find out that she didn't give us the "Ultra" paint, which includes primer, after bragging on it the whole time we were discussing the situation. As for incident number two, we've recently moved our dryer, which had a four prong cord, into our home. The outlet is a three prong, so we went to Home Depot to pick up a cord. I know nothing about dryer cords, so we sought out an employee, and we were told that a man named Steve would assist us. Ten minutes later, my mother and I were conviced Steve didn't exist, and we promptly left to go to Lowe's, where we were helped immediately. read more

If you are having appliances installed, use Lowes! I had a really bad time with Home Depot installing an overhead microwave. It took them coming out three times to get it in! The first time the box look like it fell off a truck going down the highway. The second time the idiots that came didn't know how to use an electric drill & ended up tearing up the metal on the top of the microwave. FYI, Home Depot uses 3rd party installers, they are not employees. I have used Lowes services since with no issues at all. read more

Warning, do not let this happen to you. Home depot offers a 497.00 whole home laminate install as long as you remove your existing flooring. you also have to purchase their measure/estimate for 35.00. we purchased and removed all flooring. Installers came out and did not remove one flooring installation tool. they continued thru the rooms and said we were suppose to remove all furniture, we inturn said the sales associate said to remove all items on the floor and we the customers would move the furniture side to side (we did remove most of the furniture from the rooms) their attitude was unexceptable . they the told us 3 of our rooms were neven and they would not install the flooring poof their gone and we have cement floors and the flooring is in the trash. what are we going to do now? (yes they refunded the 497.00) I am so sad and so disgusted. Pease do not let this happen to you!!! read more

OK. I bought a display Grill and I count that as my fault. It was missing the manual and grease catcher assembly. I took it back and the guy I talked to told me they would assemble me one and the guy comes in on Wednesday and he was here. I bring the grill back Friday and he tells me I misunderstood,he would assemble mine next week. Uh,OK. I'm bring it back the third time and they are at one star really, but I had driven through a construction site and I guess one of the straps came loose and as I turned in the driveway the whole grill toppled out of the back of my truck and crashed. Well, I went in and explained what happened expecting to have the grease catcher installed in my now bent up, messed up grill.The manager said the grill should have been taken back the first day and a new one assembled, actually one had already been done that Wednesday, and loaded into my truck for me the day I brought it back. At the very least unloaded so I would not have had to transport it multiple times. I never asked for a single thing since I felt I had not done due diligence in securing the grill although I did think it was OK.So, when I balance everything out on this whole thing, I find myself to have been as much the cause of the problem as the store associate, although he didn't do a very good job either. The bottom line is that Home Depot made the whole thing right and I don't feel like they had to replace the grill. Sometimes a bad experience at a store can be avoided by the customer employing a little wisdom and thinking things through. Another lesson learned and I am grateful I was not forced to pay the price and to tell the truth I feel a little guilty that the store and the vendor did. On the other hand the whole thing could have been avoided if the grill had been properly assembled before being sold. So there you go. read more

This has been the worst experience I've ever experienced from a brick and mortar store .. I was in the market for a set of faux wood blinds .. 94 X 72 is the size so it was a custom order .. Had lowes to come out and measure first . Then later got Home Depot to come out and measure .. Funny thing is the same guy that measured for lowes , measured for Home Depot .. So he already had the measure , so he never came back out to measure but still had to pay $50 deposit .. That Sunday he said he would fax the measurements back to Home Depot .. That following Wednesday I called to see if homedepot got the measurements ,and none was received .. This is where my patience got short .. Every time I called Home Depot , I was on hold for a long time or kept getting transferred to another deportment .. That went on for 5 days to say the least .. Then on the 8th day they somehow got the measurements .. So I asked the guy how long would it take for the blinds to get in .. He promised me at least a week . . So I ordered them because i was only gonna be home for 2 weeks .. Fast forward to now . Two and a half weeks later .. I'm back at work for another month and my blinds never made it home .. Now I know it takes a lil time to make them but this is ridiculous .. So here I sit , writing this review to inform everyone in the olive branch area this Home Depot does not have the customer best interest .. And I still don't have my blinds ! read more
