I absolutely love this HD location! The customer service is always outstanding here, but it could also be that I'm excited to visit. Joking. Their employees have always been helpful over the years and customer service is very efficient. If I ever need to find something and if I look lost, their staff has always approached me or if I ask someone for help, I received assistance in a professional and timely manner. I really can't ask for much more. This last visit (06.15.24), I picked up some trimmer string and the guy in that department showed me the twisted kind I wanted to replace and even showed me the 850 ft spool (non twisted) as a better value. I ended up getting both since I know I will use it so I appreciate the suggestion. In the garden center, I was looking for a live catnip plant for my Kitty and a sweet employee walked outside with me to show me the herb selection. I ended up getting seeds because she said they were out of live plants which was totally fine, but great service here! I had at least four employees help me or direct me to what I needed. I really should have gotten all of their names because it's rare to find such excellent customer service on one visit to any store, but I will be sure to next time... The gentleman employee in the garden center was moving things around and actually stopped what he was doing to ask if I needed help loading my potting soil or if he could help me in any way. I was still shopping so I declined, but I really appreciated the genuine offer. When I finally got to the register (checked out in the garden center), my cashier, Francess, and the other cashier across from her were both so kind and gave exceptional customer service! Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the other cashier (older lady), but she went and loaded a bag of soil onto my cart that I purchased last minute without me even asking. Most wouldn't even offer. Now that's excellent customer service! In other brick and mortar retail stores, it's hard to find great service and it's part of the reason people choose to shop exclusively online from the Big A. For these individuals, their head cashiers, department managers and the store manager should commend their team on being so awesome! Overall, the prices are comparable to other home improvement stores. I find that this Fleming Island location has very mindful employees working here who do their jobs well. Kudos to them! read more

If I could give this Home Depot experience a negative star I would. After standing in line to complete a return, a customer behind me was told to skip in front of me while their issue was resolved? They came in after me but because they stopped an associate, that associate told them, out loud in front of others, to go ahead of me and their return would be processed immediately. I've never felt so invisible. The wife of the man that skipped me apologized and told her husband I was first but with his privileged tone he said, the guy said to skip in front of her. WOW really? Not to mention last month I came in to exchange a bulb but was told because I didn't have my receipt they could not help me. Ordered 4 chairs from the Home Depot website and 1 came in damaged. We returned that chair for a refund. But, we were assured that more were on the way so we hung on to the three. We were informed by email shorty after the 30 day return policy expired that they weren't getting any more. So, we went to Home Depot to return the 3. Home Depot in Fleming Island, Florida promptly told us that they cannot accept them as a return even for store credit because it was past the 30 days. Ask them to contact a person at corporate but they said they can't. Then they told us that they can't do anything because chairs come from "Home Depot Warehouse" and that is a "completely different business". We bought the chairs straight off the HomeDepot.com website! If you purchase anything from HomeDepot.com and have a similar issue, I suggest returning everything promptly. Don't be deceived like we were. They told us more on the way until the return window closed. Then, notified they weren't getting more and won't take a return. So, we just put 3 chairs back into the Jeep to take back home. Three chairs are going to look bad at our four chair table! Stuck and really upset with their trickery! read more

I didn't give them a 5 star because they make it way too easy for me to spend money. As an amateur handyman I always have little projects going and what starts as a quick stop for some screws or paint has a tendency to suddenly become an expensive trip with tools or parts for projects that I just thought of. Zero customer service skills (talking about school or going out in between registers) and zero knowledge of the product. How can one work at HD and not know what quarter round is?! Last time I came to this location it was a good mixture of folks but all I saw today were women under the age of 23 or so, all of whom gossiping and talking between registers and ignoring customers. I am editing this review because I use Home Depot for my home needs, but we also have a business account. They are generally very helpful and courteous. Only three times over the many years have I have a lousy experience with an associate there. Lousy experience # 3: For personal use (not on my business account) , I ordered for curbside pick- up. Called the number. I was on hold for a while. When they answered, i saw a young girl, named Hannah, walking out with that pad on her hand. I said to her, "Are you curbside pick up?" She nodded yes as she approached me. So I said to the lady on the phone, "Oh never mind. I see her coming out now." Well, no mask, she came within 2 feet of me and said, " I have to help him first because he ya in the right parking space and you're not." M y car was in the handicap spot and the car she was talking about was about 20 feet away. I am standing by my car when I shot this p And she proceeded to help the guy. Then she joked around with the guy about it. Her fave was 6 inches from his. Neither one had a mask on. There were 811 new cases in Florida yesterday. When she walked past me again, she had a smirk on her face. I have a mask on. Both my husband and I are extremely high risk if death if we catch this virus. We have been here for 20 minutes. That guy got his stuff and left already. We are still waiting but Paula is helping us and has apologized for the delay many times. Thank you, Paula! Ok store but just be careful if you get your countertops there. Just got done paying an extra Because employee J. Cook forgot a measurement (he had ALL our drawings and measurements which were within 1/2in. After you sign saying you may or may not owe them more and pay the first "estimate" the real person will come to your house and measure. In our case 8 sqft off and 14FT!!!! of edge off. So I make him find out what where the measure didn't add up and after paying $700 MORE! I get "oh yeah sorry man" "but think how good it's gonna look". Are you flippin kidding me? So buyer/remodeled beware, they think everyone who is doing a remodel has cash falling from their pockets. I am military and don't have unlimited funds. Edit: I upped my review to three stars as HD has agreed to pay for the 14FT of missed edge. I will pay for the 8sq ft of counter tops as I was prepared to be short as the overhang/bar was not included in my measurements. So I am satisfied with the resolution that they came up with. read more

This Home Depot is laid out differently than most. It's great the way it has wider aisles. Elizabeth in doors and windows could not have been more helpful. Vandy in paint everyone is great in the paint department. Just went thru the Hurricane with flooding so I seem like Ive seen everyone in every department. Just had three sets of French doors installed and love them and the installation was so easy using they're servicemen that I'm getting a new front door too. Thanks for the great service read more

I've never really been a Home Depot person, but that was mainly because Lowes was all that was available back home. Since we've moved here, and this location is very convenient to our home, we've quickly warmed up to the place. This location is overall great - it usually has what we need with a wide selection, the staff are courteous and respectful, and the place is generally clean. The outdoor section has most everthing we need to redo our landscaping and they have enough lumber to satisfy our projecting desires. The prices on the lumber are a bit high at times, compared with Lowes, but it is so close to home I pay the few cents extra for convenience. One thing I am saddened about for Home Depot as a whole, not this one location, is that the military discount is inconsistent - it isn't offered on everything, whereas I have yet to find something on which Lowes doesn't offer the discount. This surprises me because Lowes is associated with Walmart, and the Walmarts I've been to have never offered a discount. If you've read any of my other reviews you'll know my sadness isn't that I don't receive the discount; I'm thinking of the other men and women who serve on the "front lines" of the line community and have more sacrifice than me. All in all this is a great location, conveniently located for residents of Fleming Island to serve all of your Home project needs. read more

I just purchased a gallon of paint the person neglected to dry the dot of paint she put on the lid. Got wet paint on my hand my wife got on her fingers without knowing then touch her handbag and got wet paint on it. Went to customer service to see store manager told us to fill out a incident report no compensation was offered just a attitude Be careful when you purchase paint here we learned our lesson. Absolutely the worst service I've received at Home Depot on CR 220. So much for "more doing" motto clearly didn't enter the mind of the women in your exterior door department today. Tried to order 3 doors - There was no doing, there wasn't even a "get up out of your chair and act like you want to help a customer". There was no "let me take down what styles you're interested in and see if they will work with what we have on file and we'll work on next steps when so-and-so is back." There was only " No, you can't look at any doors because they're stock doors and no you can't use these measurements we have on file because they're over 6 months old" - measured November of last year (true, life got in the way but now I'm ready to buy - today) - I got it, old estimate but a) measurements on a door don't magically change on a 25 yr old house. b) if you can't use the measurements why do you still have them c) I asked, why can't you use them? Instead of telling me you don't know why you can't use these measurements and that you "understand" that the sizes haven't changed but still can't tell me why... How about trying that you don't know but will find out. There was no mention of a store policy or let me see what options are available. And to say that there were no notes from what we had previously discussed as far as model selections - which I can clearly see in the page margins that there were, is infuriating. I'm not blind. I asked for a copy of the measurements- which oh, by the way, I already paid for. Even if I took them elsewhere, they're going to want to measure themselves. I want them to measure anyway because now I don't trust you or anything you have to say. All I wanted was to see if I was operating in a realm of stock or custom because from what I've seen of your model selection we are within stock sizes. But I can't do anything. You can't do anything until you get an ok from someone else to even discuss the project - so I'm left wondering what can you do. Well, news flash. I can do something. You just lost over a $1000-2500 sale - I can't even put an exact dollar loss on it because I don't know what models we were even looking at because I'm not interested in what you can't do and your little to know interest in trying to help me spend MONEY in your store. I understand that's pennies in your overall profit, but it is highly unlikely that I will ever set foot in a Home Depot again, and for your local store- where we've purchased thousands upon thousands of dollars for various projects, your loss is exponential- not to mention poor feedback and negative word of mouth. Now I have been to almost every Home Depot in town. Today I was checking a new project out on this part of town. I needed some stuff for another project so I scoped this place out. I will be spending an awful lot of time and money in this place soon enough. I will say that it wasn't very busy in here and that's always a goods thing when your in a hurry. The isle seem wider here but then there was a lot of shelfs that weren't fully stocked either. They have stuff a lot of stuff but they sure could use more stuff. I had to wonder around for a bit and check out where the things that I know I will need later. They had most but now I have an idea of what I'll have to find elsewhere. read more

The nursery is kept up and they have a good stock, but could use more customer service around the garden. The hardware section needs employees bad. No help for miles, always. Lumber, kind of getting sick of digging through bent boards to find one good one. I'm usually a do it myself and find it myself type of guy, but it would be nice to get a little help every once in a while. Paint needs more employees working on the weekend. The Middleburg Home Depot store is ran much better and is top notch. Tool/equipment rental at Fleming Island would be a huge plus. This place usually gets the job done. read more

I have been a customer of Home Depot for many years. I've spent a ton of money with them. Just the past couple of years alone, I've had a new roof put on as well as replaced some major appliances. I am currently replacing all of the floors in my downstairs as well as all of my kitchen cabinets. Also washer, dryer, microwave & refrigerator. I have never been ignored so thoroughly as today. I asked a lady to get me some help and was ignored, so I put the heavy box of flooring in my cart myself. I'm a 70 y.o. female (Stan is my husband) and it's ridiculous that I had to do this. On to the refrigerators. Again no help. On to the kitchen cabinets where 2 young ladys sat at a computer offering me nadda. Even when I told them about not getting any help, they never budged from their computers. I am going to probably go somewhere else to spend my wads of cash. You need to train your people in proper customer service, but I I know I'm just whistling in the wind. It's a management problem. Unfortunately, it always is. read more

So this is awful. I purchased a microwave and stove from this store. I am so upset as they sold me a microwave that was too big. I gave them the dimensions of the old microwave and they assured me this one was the same size. I trusted them so I did not check the dimensions. Shame on me. The microwave is too tall and now I have to have the tile cut. What makes it worse is that the install guy tells me that this happens all the time and that I can call the install folks after I get the backsplash tile cut and they can be out here in a day. Well I have now had to pay a guy to cut my tile and it's time to call the install people and once again I get a different story - no that is not how it works, I can't just call the delivery/install folks I have to call Home Depot to have them reschedule the install. What's more the lady I bought it from explains she will have to write up a new order and it will be a few days before they can come out. She sounded almost irritated that she has to write up a new order. They better not charge me. So no one knows what they are doing. I am livid and will never buy an appliance from them again. read more

Extremely poor customer service for flooring. Had floors measured over a month ago. Carpets pulled up based on their statement of arrival date for wood floors. Date has changed now four times! Sleeping on air mattresses on tile flooring in other parts of the house. Furniture delivery delayed because flooring not in yet. No one ever called me to tell me the flooring delivery was delayed.
