If you want to have an awful experience with rude employees and an unorganized environment, you found it! Carol in outside gardening is very rude. Snaps at customers and is very aggressive. They tell you 2 hours to pull a water heater. 8 hours later still not pulled and they can't even find an associate to get it. Can't reach the store manager Ericka because she's never available to come to the phone. Tried several times throughout the week and then they say she called out sick. Wow! Outdoor area was well kept. We found two large plants for our home that didn't put a dent in the wallet: a palm tree ($15) and an elephant ear ($20). They had a TON of options: succulents, indoor/outdoor, Bonsai Trees, etc. Checkout was quick and easy. In the past, if your plant died you could return it for your money back. I'm not sure if that is still the case, but good deal if you don't have a green thumb. Ha! read more

I was preparing for cutting down a tree and wanted to be sure my chainsaw was ready for the job. When I carried it in Pete saw me coming and guided me to the section. He found a way to plug it in to be sure it would work and said it probably won't need any more oil but that I can bring back the jug if it wasn't needed. He had all the qualities I appreciate in a retail employee where the product viability has to be perfect. He truly prepared me for a successful project. I wanted to thank him in person but he was not in yet and I lucked into his also excellent supervisor who knows how lucky they are to have Pete on staff. We came looking for a globe for lights and unfortunately didn't find one here. The customer service wasn't that great either. I understand that some people have bad days, but don't provide crappy customer service. I literally witnessed an associate turn another direction when a customer was calling out for help. Granted, the customer could've handled asking for assistance in a better way, but avoiding the chance to provide assistance isn't a good look. Prices can be a little high here for some products too. Home Depot s service was much much better when I first moved here. My local store in southchase are getting worse and worse day by day. Went there yesterday with my friend trying to buy some electrical parts found 4 out of five and couldn't locate a 1/2 inch compressing coupling the service guy wasn't helpful at all. Then bought a 3/8 water shut off valve and the guy gave me a wrong item along another part have to go back and make an exchange. That's why I bought my new Samsung refrigerator last week at Lowe's even they are the same price. read more

Home Depot Team, In all my life I have not gone through such a degrading situation as the one I went through in the yesterday in your Store. More than 2 weeks ago I went to the Home Depot of South Chase (Store #6328) in Orlando, FL. To purchase some vinyl laminate flooring (Home Decorators Collection Harvested Marble 12 in x24 / Model # VRHDHARMA / Internet SKU:310178688 / Store SKU: 1005019891), that amounted to more than $2,000.00. The invoice was sent to me by email and they informed me that all my materials will arrive maximum 3 weeks. I then contracted the company that would install the floors and gave them a deposit. About a week & half after Home Depot sent an email that the floors arrived 11/15/2021. I rented a truck to pick up the floors when I arrive they inform me that they are not there yet so I had to return the rental for a loss. On 11/16/2021 we received notice that the merchandise had arrived. After waiting for 2 hours for assistance. The Floor Dep Rep informs me that the order was canceled because the floor model no longer exists in the system. I questioned if that is so why is still being advertised for purchase on the sales floor? The Rep then says we had purchased a clearance item and the price had changed to 20 more dollars per box if we wanted it. I then told the Rep they had just said it was discontinued. They proceeded to say that all they could do was refund the purchase instead of honoring the agreed purchase receipt. You don't know what emotional damage is, my husband took a vacation for the installation of those floors, I Canceled a thanksgiving trip to be home for the installation of the floors. This was a waste of my time & money, for you to tell me that that model is no longer in-stock, why didn't the staff advise me before they sent me an email to pick up my order. Home Depot, by Hunters Creek, Orlando FL Stopped at HD to exchange a couple of closet units and purchase instead the individual shelving. We walk in and there are two employees working the customer service/ returns area. Both have their backs to the incoming customers. They both seemed to helping one customer who apparently wanted cash back and didn't have his receipt. Neither one of these two employees turned around to acknowledge the now long line of customers waiting. After waiting for about 10 minutes, one employee leaves the area and doesn't even look at us and the other one decided her iPhone was more important. Then a gentleman comes in, cuts the line and she takes care of him and finally looks at the now even longer line customers and says you need to come to this register. After now 20 minutes, we return the shelving units and proceed to find what we need. Got to isle 2 and found the shelving needed to be cut to our size. After looking around for a while, I find an employee and request assistance. Employee pages someone to isle 2 to help us. Time passes and nothing. I go back out into the main area and flag another employee to find me help in isle 2. Another page and more wait. (By the way, these employees act all bother when you ask for help). No one came by. After 45 minutes waiting for assistance, I go to the cashier area and request to speak to a store manager and get assistance. No store manager showed up but in come this employee. Tina, she walked super slow and from far asked me "what is it?" 1. You didn't but ever address a customer like that!! So I tell her what we need, she pulls the first shelf she finds and proceeds to cut it. My husband tried to tell her is the wrong shelf and she said I already heard you, thank you. After the 2 shelf I inform her she cut the wrong shelf and this Tina has the nerve to tell me I didn't tell her. I told her, when my husband tried to tell you, you said you heard him. This employee, Tina, needs some re training because she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She then finally asks is there anything I can do? My husband shows her the bar for hanging clothes that needs to be cut; Tina measures it and marks it and walks away. My husband stops her and she said "I only marked it for you but we don't cut those" and leaves. At the check out counter, the cashier who pages the non existent manager asked me if I got the help needed and told her what happened. She gives me a $25 off from my entire purchase that I couldn't use since I was using my military discount. Long story but this HD is by far one of the worst places to shop. By the way, store was empty and there were a bunch of employees walking back and forth with no purpose. Would I go again?? NEVER!!!! read more

We had the worst customer service ever. Everyone is so lazy and didn't want to help us get a patio set to our car. Mary Angelica didn't know how to use an intercom to have an associate meet us at the patio section and told us to go to customer service desk. Ishmael told us to go outside and get a trolley at the end of the building and left us to do it ourselves. We went to check out and Ishmael is just standing there thinking about life choices and Yolanda is chit chatting with her coworker while we are standing there waiting again. We won't be back. Ps. The gentleman at the garden section with the huge piercings and eye glasses was the most helpful person there. But the rest of them should be retrained on customer service. read more

Do not come here for any Cabinet installation. Home Depot is not reliable and provides the worst customer service. They contract their work to unreliable contractors that can't get the work done. They do not come through on their word and when something goes wrong, they simple ignore you and won't call you back. Bud is also not very friendly and not a helpful person! read more

Usually Home Depots are great places for customer service and I've been helped here with plumbing and hardware. However, their 5-star reputation at this location is marred by their... KEYS! You'd think this is the easiest area. At this location, it's horrible. I moved to the area 6 months ago & it took them a couple times to get my keys correct. Not a big deal & they fixed the mistakes, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. A month ago I needed to replace the front door lock & knob. I brought the old ones here and despite searching 6 aisles & waiting over 10 mins at the register for someone to come assure me I was buying something that would fit like the old ones. They never came. After apologies from the cashier & being assured I could return it if it didn't work, I bought it and left. I got it installed & the next day went back to have keys made. This time it took 20 minutes of waiting, a good 4-5 intercom calls that employees ignored and me making a scene at the customer service desk to get a manager over to assist me. I blasted them both times for their service on those surveys that print on the receipt & the manager got in touch with me to say he knew & the problem was being addressed. I dropped them one star for each time I had an issue with the key department here. Otherwise, it's your average, handy Home Depot. read more

Was looking for new flooring. Came from the millennia mall Home Depot to this Home Depot since they had more available. One person was available this Monday morning at the flooring desk. The manager on duty was paged four times and we waited about 20 minutes for him to get there. Waited about an hour to place a flooring order of $3000. HUGE shoutout to Maritza for the big help. The Home Depot is without a doubt the best 'One Stop Shopping' home improvement store. Period. I can say without hesitation that I have never had a bad experience at this location on Orange Blossom Trail. There are not many places that I have ever shopped and can say that. The Home Depot is one of those places where you can spend hours just looking at what you could do to improve your home or yard. A few years ago we made the mistake of applying for a Home Depot credit card. The only mistake was that we knew we would max it out as soon as we could.... and of course we did. The staff here at this OBT location are always helpful and friendly, willing to assist in any way that they can. As a self appointed 'handyman' I ask a lot of questions before I get started on a new project. I'm sure that each and every one of these employees have heard the same questions a hundred times, but you would never know that from their faces. Since we live in the area, I know that we will continue to visit this location for many more years to come. (Good thing too because with a house there are always projects to do!) read more

Thank you to the cashier who checked me out today! A few of my items did not have sku # on them and she was able to pull them up on her phone quickly and get me checked out in a timely manner!! The last time I was there the same thing happened to me and the cashier had to page overhead for an employee to find the item and then call back with the sku and I waited almost 30 minutes!!! I did not get the cashiers name but it was the cash register to the left as you're walking out the exit doors it was around closing time 7:45-7:50pm. read more

My wife ordered a stove and refrigerator online to be delivered. Gave two phone numbers. We were home at the scheduled delivery time. The delivery company tried to call my wife but not me. They left before I could run outside and catch them. Now we are being told they can't redeliver until December 29. We needed the stove to cook Thanksgiving dinner. I live close to this location and every time I go there the customer service is appalling bad. IF I can find someone to help me they are always rude and very clearly are annoyed that I asked for help. I went in yesterday and the guy I asked for help said it wasn't his department. Then I found someone else and he said "they are over there," and then walked away. It wasn't what I was there to buy either. I was there one day in the garden center and I asked one of the ladies out there for help and she went to get a guy that knew more about what I was asking. He yelled very rudely that he didn't want to deal with a customer now. The entire garden area could hear him. It was about 30 minutes from closing and I guess he was done helping customer for the day. I will not go here again and drive the few extra minutes to get to ACE Hardware or Lowes. F read more

I generally have good experiences here. Depending what I'm looking for it's either Lowe's Home Depot or Ace Hardware. One advantage is the HD app. It makes my life a lot easier doing price comparisons to ensure I'm getting the best deal possible. I find the HD app a lot easier to use and navigate than Lowes. I would say I shop at this Home Depot probably 80% of the time when I need something. Sometimes I can be a little difficult to find help but this is a very busy store. I must say the Associates in the paint department are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. read more

This is the WORST HD of all !!! Almost all salespeople have no idea where to find anything, most have miserable attitude and answer with contempt and snotty remarks, they say that they don't sell something just to get rid of you (even though we find it later ourselves), and even the manager is unhelpful and wanting you to move on. We will never return here, after more than 5 or 6 of the same miserable experiences. The absolute worst service is from the Latina that works in the paint department. Full of lousy attitude and anger at being disturbed. Has gotten into an argument twice with my wife over nothing. If someone hates their job that much, do something else! A gentleman with a mustache in Paint was the only truly helpful employee we've found there. But one pearl in a bucket of swine. STAY AWAY !!! read more

I was at this store recently and was able to help myself to a great extent. Then I sought help and waited about 30 minutes for someone to show up as I needed help with a shower door. Finally, I called the stores main number, whoever answered made an announcement over the loud speaker and yet no one came to aid. Every single person whom I asked for help told me that was not their department. Excuse me? Not courteous at all. They walk around like they're at some country club and pay no mind to customers. If that's not your department, then stay in your department so that you could help people when they need help. Or please have your employees wear a sign that identifies which department or what their specialty is. They deliberately ignore you. Then when someone decided to speak to me he spoke to me like I'm some sort of contractor. If I am asking for help, I'm not a contractor. Use your brain. read more

I went in looking for specific items I verified that they had on the HD app. I got there, no one could be bother to look outside their department or they gave me incorrect information. I was told to go to the customer help desk instead of the clerk bothering to do their job. If you want to treat a customer that way I can leave. As such, I went elsewhere.
