I usually won't give poor reviews for businesses, instead I prefer to move on and not say anything bad about someones business practices. However, this is a corporation and as such they deserve what they get! To be completely transparent, I was fired for NOT saying hello to a manager I had never met or knew who the heck they were. But hey, such is life and move on. It seems they have stopped training personnel the way they did when Bernie and Arthur ( Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank ) ran the stores! I can tell you from my experience, the sales people are not well trained, the management is more interested in sales people saying "hello" to management when seen then they are in providing quality customer service. Not to mention they don't have their employees backs when an issue arises, it's automatically the employee's fault! I understand "the customer is always right" syndrome, but that is not 100% true for every situation. Having your employees back, is paramount to employee morale. Management requires sales people to help anyone, in any department even if they don't know jack about the department - how the heck is that even helpful to customers? If someone in the hardware dept asks me if they can help and I'm looking for plants, why the heck would I want them to walk me to the outdoor area and try and help me? What a waste of my time! Anyway, sometimes their prices are "ok" and I mean "just ok". Overall, if you don't have to go to this HS my advise is don't. Not that the Lowes across the street is that much better, but at least it's not this HD. read more

The latest troubling trend at Home Depot; a sales woman asking if you want your bathroom remodeled. You say you would consider it and she sets you up for an appointment. A representative from MaxHome, the licensed company to do remodeling work for Jacuzzi Bath Remodeling, provides a good sales pitch, checked out the work you would like to have done, crunches some numbers, provides the quote that is GOOD FOR 1 YEAR, then hits you with the hard sell....I can have this done for you for $15,000 less if you sign up right now! No thanks MaxHome or Home Depot. I want to spend the day following the sales lady through the store telling everyone she talks to about this scam. read more

Panama City Florida Home Depot. I am very saddened by the poor product displays and the non existent customer service. I came to compare table saws, drill presses, band saws and chop saws. The chop saws were the only things out on a good display and they are over priced mixed with cheap quality. The table saws and drill presses and band saws were tucked off on a shelf too high to see and also over priced (that's based on the only two table saws out of a box.) The customer service was absolutely not existent. No one greeted, no one asked if I needed help or any kind of inquiry into what project I am working on. No one told me to have a good day. Lowes across the street did all of those things and even takes pride in their displays. This Home Depot phoned it in. I take that back, they texted it in and used emojis instead of words.... They got the emojis wrong by the way.... Bottom line, I'll be going to Lowe's in Panama City over Home Depot. Lowes has better prices, better quality, and they even have customer service. Having worked for Home Depot previously, I can say with certainty that this store is not doing things how Home Depot trains. That or Home Depot has stopped caring about the customer. read more

Save yourself money and a whole lot of struggle and buy you appliances some where else!!! learn from my mistake. They will charge you for installation of the new appliance and removal of the old one and they will NOT do either of those things. They also will not refund your money when they do not provide what you paid for. They will dump a scratched up appliance claim it's "new" in the middle of your room. Bought a freezer and it worked for about 6 months , been trying to get someone to come fix it i get transfered about 15 times and still nothing . They are the biggest rip off i ever saw. It only has a 1 year warrenty so their trying to wait untill warrenty expires. Beware before you buy. read more

Poor customer service, overly crowded isles and the store is always filthy. I can't remember a time I've been here and it was clean and neat. All of the shelves are unkempt and items strewn about. It's utterly ridiculous and inexcusable. The few employees they do have are working their butts off, especially the personnel working the curbside service. I placed an order online for an Electric range, and over range microwave on June 5th. 2023. I have been given 3 delivery dates ALL no show. All showed "We're having trouble with your delivery schedule at this time. For more assistance you can reach us at 1-800-455-3869." It is now June 23 , and NO associate at 1-800-455-3869 has been able to help. They ALL set, Assure, and Confirm dates , And yet I still get "We're having trouble with your delivery schedule at this time. For more assistance you can reach us at 1-800-455-3869." on their web page . Next to last associate when I requested to speak with someone higher than her for some reason could not hear my voice over the phone anymore although I kept hearing hers , she kept staying on the line. The last associate was more revealing to what was going on , and the ongoing search at " the warehouse dock " for my order, also stating she made a note for me to be given a monetary discount for them dropping the ball ( in so many words ). I realize we are human and things happen, but somehow the ball was dropped often here. Waited too many days at home. This is Not good especially when Home Depot competitor is physically across the street . read more

My wife and I visited the PCB store the evening of 10/14/22 and were overwhelmed by the helpfulness of the staff. We were there looking for some plumbing supplies and lawn supplies did not pass a single staff member that didn't offer to help. They walked us to the things we were looking for and helped us select the best items for what were trying to accomplish. Great service is getting harder to find but we found it at the PCB Home Depot. read more

Spent over $5,000 for 4 Samsung appliances for a new construction home to be delivered 12/7/22. Received text the day before stating that the delivery would be between 12-4pm. Delivery did not happen. Called store #6303 Panama City, FL. They checked with the warehouse and we were told to wait 24-48 hours for a call back as they had to locate the items. Additional calls to both Samsung and the store manager got us no where, they can not locate our appliances. They just keep pointing fingers at each other. The latest info from the store manager is that the manufacturer may not have even delivered the items to the warehouse yet, that the delivery text was an automation mistake and that he has no idea when our items will be delivered. In the meantime we have no Washer, Dryer, or fridge in our new home. Stop point fingers at some other entity and get the issue resolved! read more

Ordered appliances on March 22 with deliver March 29. Delivery window was 3pm to 7pm. No call/no show on delivery. Call customer service and they use a 3rd party delivery service and they have to put you on hold so they can call and find out what's wrong. The delivery service doesn't answer their phones. Customers can't call and get any information. But they were certainly willing to take $5,000+ of my money. Call the Panama City store manager and get the same type of run around. Ridiculous customer service. read more

Most time you have to seek and find the orange bib and even then they have a queue of customers that also need help. Jon, one of the managers was a total ass and has no clue on customer service, I paid to have 3 pallets of rock on Thursday with a delivery on Monday, received a text message that my delivery was cancelled and then I had to call the Home Depot store on 23rd street in Panama City. Jon was a total dick, trying to get the delivery rescheduled for Friday, because Home Depot overloaded the truck and somehow it is my fault that my delivery now was not on the truck. I then asked Jon the manager as to why somebody in contractor pro cannot load the delivery truck and make this delivery. Jon the dick has every excuse to make up and not just make the delivery as paid for. Jon the manager has to be one of the worst managers that I have ever had to deal with in this matter and making excuse after excuse. This Home Depot is also the worst that I have ever shopped at and this is the 4th time of screwing up my deliveries. I should have went across the street to Lowes, as I have already cancelled this order and placed it across the street at Lowes. Home Depot managers are nothing short of being a total dick and always right. Please don't shop this shitty Home Depot and go across the street to Lowes were they treat veterans right and don't make excuses. read more

Rented a Kabota tractor with a loader on the front and a backhoe on the back. There were several little things wrong with the tractor (like the brake did not work) but we were still able to do the loader work we had planned. However, when using the backhoe, any load would cause the engine to shutdown. I am disappointed when I pay for something and it doesn't work to the level it is supposed to. Not even a "sorry about that" from the Home Depot rental folks. read more

Recommend all military not use this store . Yes they do offer military discount for all in store purchases however, if it's online forget about the discount ! We just transfered in from San Diego and our Home Depot's would order online and still apply the discount . However we were greeted at customer service with 2 employees who didn't know their policy and actually suggested that they do not offer military discount for online products ? They recommended we call the Home Depot.com customer service line which of course we did , they replied that the store is supposed to apply the discount . The representative we spoke was awesome ! She called the store and the manager and customer service rep was extremely rude to the online Home Depot agent . She applied our discount and delivered it to the same store . Poor service, crammed aisles, junk everywhere. You cannot take a cart and go down ANY of the aisles because the employees have placed ladders, pallets, buggy's in the way. When I brought up my frustration about this to an employee, he just told me to loop the store by using the main aisles on each end. Thanks bud. Also, they choose to stock the shelves throughout the day, closing off two or three aisles at a time. Lowe's stocks at night after closing and their aisles are clean all day. The Panama City beach Home Depot is much better than this store. Management change? I feel stressed out after leaving this store. I'm hoping they change. read more

Can never get anyone on the phone that will actually help place a order. I ordered baseboard online but couldn't order the quarter round online. I tried for a couple of hours to get someone to take the order so my contractor could do curbside pick up. Man the people here are friendly but its almost to much! I really enjoy being asked if I'm doing ok and if I'm finding everything alright, thats great. BLUF: Jeld-Wen does not stand behind the product. HomeDepot has a lousy time delivering doors and their delivery recordkeeping is poor. HomeDepot managers are very interactive and try to help, but their ability to do so is limited by the manufacturer's response: when JELD-WEN doesn't stand behind their products, there is nothing HomeDepot can do. PROBLEM. I purchased four doors from HomeDepot/JELD-WEN and they were delivered and stored in my garage less than a month before they were installed. There were two-weeks of problems getting the doors delivered, which was all HomeDepot's fault: in essence, they delivered broken doors five times. The day after they were installed I saw the doors and found that there was an outer-edge material breaking down, cracking, chipping and disintegrating to dust. This material on the door seam's top/sides/bottom was flaking off. My contractor noted that it did not look like primer since it was 1/8th of an inch thick and could be flaked off in parts and other areas it was sticking like it had plastic adhesion to the wood. The contractor team has decades of experience with doors and they have never seen this problem before. Furthermore, consultations with other installers, to include the sharing of pictures, confirmed that this IS A PRODUCT DEFECT. RESPONSES. While HomeDepot was helpful and stopped by to look at the doors, discussions with JELD-WEN resulted in no help whatsoever. JELD-WEN maintains that the door should have been painted within 30 days, and has stated that they will do nothing. The problem is that these doors were defective because (1) they have 1/8th an inch of primer --if that is what it is, and (2) the door chipping occurred within 30 days excluding the extended delivery timelines. JELD-WEN DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. read more

Delivered items I left behind to my home after I forgot them when I checked out! I recently went into this Home Depot to buy plants and soil. I also picked up two items from the cleaning aisle which got left behind. When I called then I was told I had 24 hours to return it and knowing that there was no way for me to get back there I wrote it off. A couple weeks later I did the online survey and mentioned it and within a few hours it was delivered to my home by the assistant manager John when he got off work. read more

Every Home Depot BUT this one had professional service with competent staff/employees working for them and stocked a majority of the items that were listed on their webpage. I have gone to this store on multiple occations looking certain items for example a drywall tape reel,corner bead setter or a Bandjo and they didn't have them, yet they stock everything else that has to do with drywall and by didn't have them I don't mean they ran out the guy specifically said our store does not stock those perticular products anymore however I can order it for you. Customer service is great when you can find someone, it's like hunting for bigfoot. I don't know how much these people were paid to say what a great experience they had and how knowledgable the people who work there are at the Panama City,FL Branch located on 23rd St. It is a horrible experience period. 9/10 times I go there looking for a product they either don't have it in stock and say we can order it and it will arrive in 1-3 weeks OR they have some over inflated version of it on the shelves usually $5.00-$15 more than what is listed/advertised on the webpage on minor things god forbid you ask for something that is normally expensive be prepaired to take out a second morgage on your house. The other great one is the deer caught in the headlights look when they have no clue what your talking about or pass the buck to another person who knows even less than the first person you talked too. I have literally walked around that store for an hour and had not one person ask me if I wanted help but plent of employees look at me and just keep on walking or talking to a fellow employee. I went to their store today 4FEB2016 and was going to buy a wagner 705 wallpaper steamer for a job I needed to do because for whatever reason the so called ad on the webpage that says come rent a wallpaper steamer for x amount of dollars they don't even carry the equipment to rent it out. Then I finally get there after a 45 minute drive one way and find it go to pay for and show the lady my VA card and request the military discount she looks at my ID and says im sorry sir but this ID isn't a valid/accepted form of military ID because it does not say "Service Connected" under your photo and points to a chart with pictures of military ID's on it. But mine does say "VA Healthcare Enrollee" and the last time I checked The only people who get VA cards are Veterans who have served in the military OR their spouses. I will never give them any of my business again. read more

DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT FOR CARPET INSTALLATION! The 3rd party vendor they use, USIG, is deplorable!! Please check USIG's reviews before contracting Home Depot. It took them THREE MONTHS to install our floors but that doesn't begin to describe the horrible customer service throughout as well as the living conditions we were forced to endure for an extended period of time. The Home Depot on 23rd Street, Panama City: Staff has always treated us like family the moment we walk in the door. The store is always busy, which is a GREAT thing. YES, sometimes there is a wait in line to pay. Well stocked, and if we need assistance on a product, or when ordering products not currently in stock, we receive professional attention. YES, if another customer is being served, you may have to wait a few minutes UNTIL YOUR TURN. Disappointed with the reviews of others expressing their impatience. YES, it took time and effort during the busy holiday season when my family was ordering needed 5 major appliances with the assist of the sales staff in-store. But it was done correctly, professionally, fantastic assistance in ordering correct sized appliances that were NOT on display in the showroom. Great neighborhood store. read more
