The sales guy added an additional $20 a month service without approval or us even knowing it was added. Thankfully we got an email telling us that it had been added. Most people don't look at their bills so the services get added and then by the time you realize that your bills gone up an additional $20 a month, you've already paid it, and the sales dude has already gotten his commission off of the upgrade. I personally have been an AT&T customer since they purchased Cingular. Thanks to dishonest practices from multiple stores, I don't trust any of these retail stores anymore.. even the corporate ones are just as bad. They need to have customers sign off on their purchases and show exactly what is the new monthly fee and what the new additional charges are. If there is no signature then there is no additional service. These salesman going in after the fact and adding these additional cost to your bill is a scam. It was done to my parents in Sherman, Texas and it's being done at these stores here. I now only deal directly with customer service by phonel!!

Near the end of my encounter with this monument to indifferent incompetence a Verizon employee told me that many of the operators routinely promise actions just to get you to end the conversation. I was told that there had been no follow up on my previous calls. That was the only truth I heard through this nightmare.
