I had ordered a mower from Lowe's, but could not get an ETA on delivery. I tried calling, but was put on hold. When I tried calling back after six days, kept getting caught up in a phone message loop. I canceled the order. I do not plan to ever shop at Lowe's in the near future. I am happy to report that I have ordered a mower from Home Depot. I was very happy to see an estimated date of arrival. I also bought an extension ladder without any trouble. Everyone. Very nice and well stocked Home Depot. The garden center has ALOT and I mean ALOT of plants and trees and really everything you need for outside gardening. Really stocked up. Oh wait, I said that already. I cant say it enough. Its really stocked up unlike ours in knoxville. Kudos to the gal in the tool rental for helping us load our new lawn edger!! Home Depot in Phenix City Alabama is the best of any home improvement store we have ever been to. If you need help you don't have to hunt for someone to ask. In appliances, Sherris Ponce is the most knowledgeable and helpful of any employee. It is worth traveling across the river if you are in Columbus!!!! read more

Sunday made two times we have not had good customer service at home depot and we will not be back. The first time we bought a john Deere's mower and it wouldn't even roll to get off of the floor to load in our truck. They "didn't have another one" and would not refund our money or give us back our check. What a nightmare! We had to wait 10 days for a refund. The next time we went all we asked for was to plug in a fan to see how well it would blow. No help there either. But if I'm going to spend $200 on a fan I need to make sure it does the job. Oh well....lesson learned. read more

The place is huge and can be a little tough to navigate, which is normal for about any hardware store I've ever been in. Luckily, the staff is helpful and polite, so it makes things easier. I also LOVE that they have a children's workshop available certain days of the month so I can do something fun with the kids if I need to go to the city for something else or to run other errands. I only gave 4 stars bc of how difficult it can be to navigate at times. Also, they give military discounts but not VETERAN discounts. I think that contradicts their message to the military community nearby. read more
