Just had a Home Depot associate refuse to price match a dewalt power tool. Which Im now forced to order on Amazon for about 100$ less. Home Depot shooting themself in the foot big time on that because dewalt is selling these directly on Amazon. Right to the house for literally 40% less. Google said home depot price matches. Buyer beware of Home Depot appliance purchases. Ordered a $2800 refrigerator which was delivered 7-3.5 hours outside of the delivery window, 2130 at night. Refrigerator was damaged, which was documented by the delivery company who wrote up documentation that they would be replacing damaged part. Few weeks on and delivery company doesn't want to response to us or Home Depot. I contacted Home Depot, the seller who organized the delivery company. Home Depot suggested at first that we claim through warranty. (this has a copay) second suggestion was for me to claim this with manufacturer as the delivery company will not speak to Home Depot either. Through 5 weeks of perseverance, Stephanie at Home Depot continued to hound the delivery company and follow up with us step by step. She also communicated with Samsung too to arrange the home tech to replace the damaged pieces. read more

Unfortunately, I took time off to receive a delivery of an appliance from them. They never showed. I watched the counter of how many deliveries they had to go prior to mine. Once it read "2", the counter changed and indicated my delivery was back to step 1, in processing. Their guys didn't make their delivery deadline and I'm stuck with a full day off work and still no appliance. Home Depot, you truly are the worst. I will never recommend you. read more

Tami is AWESOME. Today, I purchased a four spigot adapter for our garden. The device was defective and broke inside of an automatic waterer. Not only did they replace the defective spigot but also the waterer that was now broken due this failure. While I would have been happy with having the defective spigot replaced, I was blown away by the initiative and great customer service to replace the automatic waterer that was purchased a few months previously as well. The manager is of this store is very unkind and unprofessional. I have backed up plumbing and tried to rent a machine to clean out my main line. It was already a terrible day for my family. I drove 30 minutes to Home Depot to rent the machine. The card reader did not work with my card. The chip reader declined the transaction, and the stripe reader would not work either. I checked with the bank and there was no problem with the card or the account balance. I asked for the store to input the number manually. I was told that only Pro members could have the service to input the number manually. I asked for a manager. He confirmed that Pro members could receive this service but no one else. The manager's unwillingness to spend 30 seconds to input my card number cost me a great deal of extra distress and cost Home Depot what had been a loyal customer. read more

We had a Gefrig. delivered,only my terminally son home.Im a long haul truck driver,was away at a year sometimes. My 90 yr old Mom came daily to care for him. The freezer door never closed all the way.A yr.of stress,then death I spent 5 mo.of severe depression lost my son,job had major surgery,endless vet and car repairs bills.Took up welding.Both tombstone welders were dented,the boxes ripped up. She checked out my order in the online system, and had Randall help us to get the heavy boxes loaded onto carts. Charles then took all of my stuff down to the Pro Desk area. Luis took over from there and helped me load the very heavy boxes into my pick up. Awesome customer service experience here. The worst, going to Lowes. Spent over $100k over the years with HD and they have hit rock bottom. Out of stock on many common items, service is poor- good luck trying to find someone in store. Management view is online and in-store are separate entities, really??? For example cant use a store credit for online purchases. Returns are getting more difficult. Online inventory is misleading where you find out in store is out or stock. Horrible. read more

I bought all new appliances including a dishwasher in early September of this year. On September 20th it was delivered to my house and installed. On October 29th we discovered that the new dishwasher was leaking every time we ran it since we got it and has been damaging our cabinets, floor, and wall. We have had to take additional time off work to have people come out and inspect the dishwasher and have been told every time that it is the other company's problem. The first "LG certified" technician to come out said it was dented in the back top left corner and that is where the leak is coming from and that we would have to call Home Depot to get us a new dishwasher. There have been phone calls almost every day with LG, Home Depot, Barlow Delivery Service (third party delivery service),Sedgwick (Warranty/claims company), attempted to reach Home Depot store manager but was never able to get in touch with them, All State at the recommendation of Home Depot but they only deal with electrical and mechanical problems. We have had the delivery company send someone out twice, the first person said there was nothing they could do with it because it was leaking so they sent the field supervisor who found there is a seam on the unit leaking and its a manufacturer defect and they can't do anything for that. Today 11/29 we received an email from Sedgwick saying they will forward the information to LG who will most likely want to send out another person to look at the dishwasher. In the meantime, in the two and a half month's worth of time of having a new dishwasher that is unusable I am no closer to having a dishwasher that I can use. We're tired of the run around. We spent over $7,000 on all new appliances for our new house and we are no closer to having the dishwasher replaced. Home Depot needs to step up, get us a new dishwasher installed and deal with who pays for said dishwasher on their own. We cannot continue to take time off work for more people to "inspect" this defective item, and need this replaced immediately. read more

This has to be one of the "better" Home Depot's to shop at in the Phoenix market. This big orange home supply store has almost everything you need for those weekend "honey due" projects. It's in a great location that's easy to find. The inside is very clean and well organized as far as Home Depot's go. This location is not as busy as the other Home Depot's due to it's location yet they offer all the same product selections and seem to be always be in stock with the things other Home Depot's may run out of. Their paint, wood, plumbing, appliances and out door areas are top notch and staffed with knowledgeable experts. Can't say the same about their lighting, electrical and power tools which is keeping them from getting 5 stars. The next time you need supplies for your home repairs, this is the place to shop! read more

Great location!!! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I walked in looking to get some keys made and also to find a little hinge for my shower door (the thingy that makes sure the shower door stays closed so you don't turn the whole bathroom into a shower...) I was helped right away with making the keys, and then a really nice guy, Joe, tried to help me find the shower thing (after seeing the "lost puppy" look on my face). He couldn't find it, but called over the expert, Gus -- now this guy knew his stuff!!! I swear he knew the store like the back of his hand. He couldn't find the shower door thing either -- because they didn't carry it -- but told me where I could find it, and also helped me find some other stuff I was looking for. I like this location! They're willing to help you find what you need, are super friendly, and don't have attitudes like other places I've been to. read more

came to this location for an instacart order. the system at checkout wouldn't let me bypass the pin for credit. i ask a little elderly lady for help and she tells me she's never heard of instacart before. we cancel the order to try again so she can do the card herself and show me how to use credit. the same thing happened it wouldn't let me bypass the pin. then the lady tells me they don't take instacart orders and that they've dealt with this before, so now you know what instacart is? i ask if there was anyone else that could help me and she told me no one else can help me because she's the head of something (i don't remember), i just wanted someone who knows what instacart is. so okay whatever ill just cancel the items and call instacart. not sure if this lady was lying to me or not because i called, they said that shouldn't have happened and that home depot DOES take instacart orders. So im not sure if its a lying issue or location issue but yall need to figure it out with the instacart company and remove the location from the app because you are wasting peoples time!!!! read more

Today the manager at this Home Depot made sure I'd never spend another dime with the company again. I went in to pick up and handful of succulents and by the time I got to the car I noticed one had tipped and was otherwise dead. I ran back into returns to do a swap, and I grabbed the wrong one. No big deal, the CS explained let's just do an exchange instead of a swap, I said no biggie, let's get one with it. The manager standing behind him went on to explain it again (as if his boy didn't do it already), and I stated - yep heard it first time. He proceeded to roll his eyes and state "are you sure." I stated again - yes and the sarcasm was unneeded as he walked off. I turned to the cs who was asking questions getting snarkier as they went on. I asked to speak with the manager, he stated the jerk I had already talked to was the manager so I requested the district manager.. when he walked off for 5 min to grab him. Fun fact: Home Depot district managers generally don't hang out around stores. But the guy decided to walk off anyway. He finish my transaction he said he needed a manager because I was attempting to do an exchange and he continue to refuse service we finally were able to get things moving along without a manager where he continues to be a jerk and I ended up leaving. I then called the store back to get the district managers phone number and the store has since refuse to give me that number. From there I have attempted to call Home Depot corporate of course they're closed because it's Eastern standard time and it is 6 o'clock local time right now, I will be making a call in the morning to them though to ensure something is done about this instead some bs response from some social media manager (or worse the sarcastic jerk of a store manager) that gets filed away with nothing more done. Lowe's is cheaper and friendly. I'll be heading there moving forward for sure. read more

They have zero concept of what an actual licensed contractors obligation is if the work is done during the warranty period and fails. I've been here several times over the years as it's my closest hardware store.. That being said, if I didn't like it, I'd drive further. However, every time I go in there, the place is clean, nicely laid out and most importantly, the staff are VERY helpful. That saves me a ton of walking around looking for things. They also have useful advice to help point you in the right direction with your purchases. On a couple of occasions they have really gone out of their way to fix me up with a solution to whatever challenge I was trying to solve - and today the Gent at the paint counter was MOST helpful in getting me sorted with the perfect paint for my living room - Highly recommend them. read more

Store at 85086 Tramonto Store Phoenix, AZ I ordered a door from these guys. First of all, I paid for door measurements, but they are not mine and they will not let me have them. If they were free, I'd say that was fair, but I paid for them and it was not cheap. They called to say my door was in and make an appointment to install the door. I cancelled my plans to be home for the install, because my back door is unsecured until it is installed! On the day of the install appointment (today) they called me to tell me the custom sized door is the wrong size. THIS APPOINTMENT WAS MADE TEN DAYS AGO, after the door was in. It should have been double checked for correct measurements when the product was ordered, for one thing, and then, more importantly, at the time it arrived, so that it could have been returned if necessary. I get that mistakes happen with measurements, but checking it when it arrives for the right measurements could have saved the day and not compounded the mistake. Anytime you order anything that needs to be installed, you should check and double check the measurements on any order. This is especially true on arrival of a custom sized product that could need reordered. Moreover, It especially should have been measured before they even made the appointment for the install, the one I cancelled my plans for! Then she says we'll call to see if it can be expedited. Yea, if that was an option I would have paid extra for that the first time around, but then I wouldn't have gotten it in any sooner because of the mistake, would it? Come on guys, aside from your customers being ticked off, you wasted a bunch of your own time and who is eating the cost of that wrong sized door? Probably Home Depot or the the door manufacturer. Change your policy. Just get one of those kids walking around who don't look too busy, to double check all the numbers against the invoices, orders and measurement documents ahead of time and you have now saved a lot of time and money and customer satisfaction at very little cost or effort. I'm in a completely different field of work, but if I don't double check my work, people literally die!! I hate to post this bad review, because I just ordered a new washer and had a good experience and haven't even got to put the good review up yet, but this really ticked me off because of the time it wasted for no good reason. :( read more

This Home Depot is a hot mess. In fact, I'm closing my Home Depot Card and I'll make the drive to Lowes to avoid this place. This isn't due to one trip, this is numerous experiences over the time I've lived in the area. I once stood in the Millwork department for 37 minutes waiting for someone to get a door down. I literally asked 4 people for assistance, and each said they would find someone. 37 minutes to buy a door. On another door purchase, the girl stated that they didn't have a product in stock, even though the website stated they had 2. I asked if we could look anyway, and she said "Fine, but I know it's not back here..." SURPRISE! They had 2 in stock. She just didn't seem to keen on working that day... Today, I go in to return something I bought yesterday. I just wanted to swap it with a similar product, similar in price. I had a $100 gift card, the total of the return was $107 and change (I had paid $100 on the GC, $7 on my debit). I was told that they couldn't return the $100, but they could give me instore credit for the amount. The product I was looking for wasn't in stock, so I asked, VERY CLEARLY... "Can I use the instore credit to order the product from you guys?" I was told that I could. We started that process, and When we got to payment, I handed over the gift card. I was then told that I could not pay with a Home Depot Giftcard, at Home Depot, to order something that Home Depot carried. The "wish he was the manager but he isn't because he only fills in on days when the manager is off and he feels ripped off because he gets paid significantly less" guy, Skyler (who names their kid Skyler?), tried to explain that ordering from Home Depot isn't really ordering from Home Depot, because the 2 versions of the Home Depot are "separate entities"... So, for clarification, I asked a few simple questions.... 1. Can I order from HomeDepot.com and have it shipped to the store? "Yes" - Skyler 2. If I order something on homedepot.com, can I return it at the store? "Yes" - Skyer 3. Is homedepot.com and the Home Depot the same company? "Yes" - Skyler Just avoid this place. Bought an expensive refrigerator and was promised delivery 10/12 between 8 and noon. After putting all food and perishables on ice starting at 6am, I got a call around 9am from their delivery vendor, Barlows Distribution, that they had drivers call out and couldn't deliver for four days! Many attempted calls with Home Depot management found no one willing to find a solution to make it right. It finally boiled down to "take it Tuesday or take your business elsewhere". No ownership, no urgency, no empowerment, no solution. I realize the primary fault is Barlow's, but Home Depot is responsible and LIABLE for their failure to perform, but they will not do anything to make it right except say "Sorry". Now I have to deal with food spoilage, eating out for 4 days, and missing work some day next week with no guarantee they will deliver then, either. Completely unacceptable. read more
