Watch out, they are running a scam in the tool rental department. They add a damage protection warranty to all rentals without asking if you want the warranty. This scam adds about 10% to the advertised price. It reminds me of the Wells Fargo scam. I went to get my money back and the manager refused to issue a refund. He said that once I sign the rental agreement that I have agreed to the warranty. The rental agreement is on the credit card swipe screen so you can only see about 3 lines at a time. While I was waiting for the manager the sales associate told me that he was instructed that it was store policy to always add the warranty and to not ask the customer. read more

Rented a trailer from Home Depot..... got to my job and filled the trailer with about 1000 lbs (750 under the rated amount) was driving and very very nervous about the tires, felt very deflated... went to discount tire and the tires were rated for 65 PSI, went to discount tire and the tires were at A.23 and B. 29 psi, the gentleman from discount tire told me this was VERY dangerous to drive on backroads let alone free way. As a paying customer I called back and was told they need paperwork from discount, I had already left and told the manager that and he said I would be taken care of, came back to store and had to argue for half off of my rental... after renting faulty equipment and then taking my time to fill it up and make it okay for the next person to rent.... unreal I guess they are paying me half to be the maintenance man for them!! I had to load then unload my items go get air in the tires then come back and load my load and the manager Tyler said he'd waive my "late fee" then his employee informed him I was in before 4 hours.... unreal..... will be contacting corporate and feel like yelp is just the start. I don't think I should have to pay for piece of equipment that has endangered me and my workers lives! Suzanne in Customer Service should not be near customers! This has me upset for 2 weeks now and I'm finally calling the Store Manager in Cave Creek! I paid for and ordered a dumpster months ago! It took 2-3 months for it finally to get there as I kept calling, then I got a text saying basically I had a week to pick it up! Not the first time for an online order as it took 4 months for $800 worth of shelves! Anyway I called, fist time they couldn't find it, next time she found it, after being snippy with me, I said I'm a care giver for my husband and can't get away til after the 22nd of August, a week at least, after all it took months to get the prepaid item in. The man that first took my call said they have items there over a year! Suzanne PROMISED ME it was no big deal and she'd put AFTER THE 22nd on the computer and item for pickup, remember this was a week about before that. I went in and even called first to make sure it was there ON August 22nd! First girl at counter was clueless so I was told to shop til she found it, she left the counter quickly after that, now I know why! When I waited over 3/4 hour, I went back to the counter where Suzanne was "ready" for me. She told me she sent the dumpster back and refunded my money THE DAY I CALLED! She got very nasty and snotty with me, treated me like she was better than I was! The other girl working at the counter close to the door put her head down, obviously embarrassed. I said to SUZANNE I called before I left my home in New River, she contradicted what the truth was and walked away. I said thanks a lot for this, she laughed and said you're welcome ! Another customer came up to me and said she will never deal with her because she's a bitch! I was shocked! This is your BOSS (she said she was) of CUSTOMER SERVICE ?! I had a large purchase to make last week, I preferred Home Depot but drove down to Lowe's! How dare she speak to me the way she did, I reminded her I have a hard time leaving my husband alone, she cut me off said she remember me saying that but I was MY problem! To Mike the Store Manager, extension 100 I was told by a male worker who said it was time she was reported for her attitude , Fire her or you will lose more customers as my many friends know exactly how she treated me FOR NO REASON! One of my friends was with me and told all her friends. Customer Service means just that. I was a business owner, 4th generation now retired, I'd never speak to any customer the way she spoke to me, I was shaking and I'm still upset how I was treated. Do NOT ever use Home Depot to install carpet. We ordered 5 months ago and still do not have carpet installed. Twice they have showed up with defective carpet that could not be installed. And no one ever followed up to reschedule a new installation. We always had to call multiple times after waiting for days to get new carpet. We sent pictures of the defects to Sarah Sanchez who is supposed to be coordinating the carpet orders but we haven't heard from her after 3 weeks. I finally went in and ordered a different carpet, but honestly I have no faith that this will get done well or quickly. Their installation process is horrible. There is no customer service. No follow up or follow through. I guess they don't care because they already have our money. read more

I have been trying for two years to have three sets of blinds installed in my home. After numerous times of telling everyone from the floor blind salesman to the installers the phone number to contact me is my cell, not my home number (out of state number), for some reason none of these people I've talked to changed my number in the system causing a communication cluster. Appliance specialist EARL COLEMAN takes customer service to an entirely epic level. He made the difference in where I purchased my GE refrigerator. I could have purchased closer to my home, but make the 2 hour drive to go back to his store, to ensure quality service. I would never buy another GE however . . . it has broken 2X in 9 weeks since new, and their customer service rep "Amononicia" was the worst! Buy any brand but GE folks! Well I give both Home Depot and myself 1 star today, I decided to give them another try (hence my 1 star for going back) and I was promised that if I bought an entire kitchen package for 3k that they would hook up the water to the refrigerator and hook up my dish washer to the hot water as long as I purchased an additional part, delivery company comes with equipment and brings the wrong stove, won't hook up my refrigerator and won't do the dish washer either because the salesman gave us the wrong part, called Home Depot and they said refuse the stove...so I refuse the stove and go back to Home Depot as advised. Only to learn that they could not get us another stove for a week, and told me that it happens occasionally and that their customers have always have to wait. I explained that I had company coming for the 4th of the July weekend and should not be with out a stove. Finally they agreed to get me a loaner stove, so I came back with a trailer and was told everything I needed was in the stove and I would have to wire in the cord myself, get home and they gave me a dryer cord not a stove cord, they did deliver a new cord and I would install it myself...mind you I paid for installation... They told me that thy would have to take a loss on the loaner stove because it was against OSHA regulations to resell the stove... Really...OSHA has nothing to do with stove being sold, so basically once being lied to again I can no longer trust this company and if I chose to use them again, it will be my fault for thinking they would change.... Fool me once, shame on you....fool me twice, shame on me.... read more

this place has saved my butt more times than i can count. i often start projects that i think i can do and then run into show stopping issues. my husband loves this about me, really he does. yesterday, for instance, i realized the standing water under my kitchen sink was caused by a leaky garbage disposal. so i bought a new one at the home depot and trotted home to install it. i opened the box and realized the fittings weren't the same as my current disposal. called home depot (they're on speed dial on my blackberry) and explained the situation. staffer told me to head back up there and he'd have the part waiting for me. sure enough, i arrive 20 minutes after my phone call and the garbage disposal expert is waiting for me in the garbage disposal aisle with the part i needed and a few helpful hints on how to install the beastly disposal. 3 hours later i had a brand-spanking new garbage disposal installed, a VERY impressed husband and quite a sense of personal satisfaction - i completed my first plumbing project thanks to the home depot! read more

Never ever again. I went to this Home Depot to purchase a washer and learned not to shop with them. First Home Depot does not keep most appliances in stock, you have to have them delivered which most take over a week to get. Then they do not honor the military discount due to the item was a special purchase and that is a sale, they do not give the discount if you purchasing an sale item of any kind. Then I learned you can not cancel online if you paid with a debt card, they can if you hit the little credit button when purchasing. I spent hours online, on the phone with their care line and they back to the store for the return since you can not do a return on a so called special purchase item at a closer store. Took them 15 minutes in the first place to find someone to help me, when he showed up he acted like I was bothering him, manager on duty could not find the policy for the discount so it took two of them to go look, should have returned and ran then. I can say after all this I went to Lowes, purchased the washer for a cheaper price, got the military discount, picked up ( they would do next day delivery if needed ) and installed. So happy with Lowes and boycotting Home Depot they have no customer service in the store. See ya Home Depot and Hello Lowe's. read more
