The upper darby Home Depot is possibly the WORST STORE IN DELCO. Went for a propane exchange and was having trouble with self service machine. Saw store employee right next to me on his phone. I figured he was on break so i went inside to get help. The cashier went outside and asked the employee to get me propane and he ignored the cashier. He had to yell at him to put down his phone and get me the propane tank. I get it you get what you pay for as far as employees but show some respect for the customer. I own a business in delco and spend 200k a year at home depot. Time for me to find a new supplier. Tomorrow I will call the voice of the customer line to see if they care if i take my 200k business elsewhere. We will see. Hopefully that employee will lose his job. Respect is not free! read more

I purchased a stove a week ago and was told it would be delivered on this Saturday. I was told I would receive a phone call the night before with an estimated time of arrival. I called 4 times back to back for one woman to tell me she's never heard of someone calling with a time frame. I asked for the store manager only to never have been connected back to him. The tool tech in the rental center was fast knowledgeable and beyond friendly to my wife and I. Her name was Drell T. On April 17th I went into the Home Depot in Clifton Heights and ordered Patio Furniture through customer service for online home depot. The chairs were delivered and one was damaged. I emailed on line customer service with pictures of the chair and after two weeks someone finally got back to me with a case #. After speaking to a CSR I was told to bring the chair back to my local store since it was an on-line in store order and they would take care of it. LIE. The store was of no help as usual. I have spent countless hours trying to reach a live person or manager in regard to this and have had no success. My next step is to take legal action. Hope Depot are Crooks!!! read more

I always felt like the employees at Lowes were more knowledgeable and helpful. but unfortunately, there is no Lowes near me. My brother in law and I came here looking for plumbing parts but they didn't have the pipe adapters we were looking for. A gentleman came over to help us and mixed and matched a series of fittings together to make what we needed. In the end it was about the same price as the fitting we were looking for. Dropped into this location for a leaf blower. I was able to find one in my price range...but there weren't any on the floor. Spoke with (Sam) Manager who checked if there were any left in the store. They were none to be found. Sam gave me the next model in my price range at $7.00 discount. Christmas came early love this store and not just for the discount. read more

My refrigerator was delivered and the two men who delivered it refused to hook up the ice maker saying the water supply line was copper and is an unacceptable supply line to hook up to. I bought the copper water supply line from Home Depot off the shelf and if copper is an unacceptable supply line why is it Home Depot sells it in their stores? I then asked for the doors to be hung so they open the other way to accommodate my kitchen. They then tell me it's not their job and that I should of contacted the the maker of my refrigerator to have them swing open the way I want. I asked to speak to their supervisor in either giving me the phone number or for them to call him. They tell me they will call him for me to speak with and went outside to call. While waiting for them to call their supervisor I look out the window and see them driving off. I had to remove all the plastic and set up the shelves my refrigerator and plug it in entirely myself. I never seen or signed a receipt for my refrigerator or received a copy of said document either. I never in my life experienced such unprofessionalism in having service or delivery of an item to my house. I think Home Depot should refund the price of the hook up charge for my appliance as I had to do it myself. Also I would like a copy of my receipt I never signed. If the receipt is signed I guarantee it is a forged signature. I will never order anything from Home Depot again that needs to be delivered or installed and subject myself or my family to such incompetence. In the near future I have plans to buy a new washer and dryer and to have my entire house carpeted wall to wall. I can guarantee that I will be either using Lowe's or a Mom & Pop shop to buy and have the mentioned items installed. Again i tell you I would like the price of having the ice maker installed refunded as I had to do it myself and i would like my copy of the appliance's receipt for my personal records for the warranty I bought from Home Depot. read more

I am terribly disappointed with the customer service at this Home Depot location. From the floor staff to the service desk to the managers, I have receive an extremely low level of customer service. For example, I wanted to place a custom blind order in the store, but both times two different employees who work in the window department were unfamiliar with the website. On our third attempt, the order was made, good to go and scheduled to deliver to our house. The blinds came in the wrong size. An online customer service rep assured me they would be expedited. I had to go back to this location to return them. The service desk did not know how to look in the computer to confirm the size was re-corrected. Cathy called for the decor department three times and no one came to the desk. Cathy then proceeded to tell me I can walk back and speak to the department myself. I wanted her to confirm the order would be expedited, she told me she couldn't confirm anything and there was no manager in the store to help me to call the manufacturer of the blinds. She left a note in the system for the manager to call me back first thing the next morning and it would be taken care of because the manufacturer of the blinds was open. I received no call the next day; I called the store several times to be passed around and eventually hung up on. I went down to the store. The manager who was supposed to call me was on lunch. I waited for him to return, Hamid, who approached me as my back was turn and said "Follow me". I did not even know he was speaking to me, so I asked are you Hamid? He said, yes follow me. After all of this, his co-worker informed in the manufacturer of the blinds are closed on Saturdays. There was nothing he could do, and will call me Monday. Keep in mind we waited 2 weeks for delivery and this was an error Home Depot made. Monday comes and no call from Hamid. I call the store, get connected and he tells me he hasn't heard anything. Then he says "remember when you came in and two different managers told you the store was closed over the weekend?" I said Yes and you also told me you'd call me first thing this morning it's now 2pm. He said well I have not heard back from then, actually I was on the other line with the store but you called in on the other line so I clicked over to you and now I have to call them back. I bought kitchen appliances from home depot - fridge/dishwasher and cooking range - the staff at the store was very helpful but the delivery and installation has been a nightmare The delivery people however were very unprofessional - they refused to disconnect the water supply as the shut off valve is in the basement I could have shut off the valve and disconnect the water connection to the fridge , so that they could haul away the old one and put the new one in place without hooking up the water supply They refused to do so I even had my plumber talk to him on the phone - no luck i offered to pay him extra but then he wanted to changed the whole water connection instead of just using the old one He was very verbally aggressive and overbearing .I felt overwhelmed and pressured He left the new refrigerator in the driveway , Luckily I had his cell phone number -and they came and put it in the garage saying it would by easier for them to come and install it as the fridge was already there I was not at all comfortable with him leaving my fridge in the garage and told him so . His partner Mike said "lets take it back " but he refused to do so He said they are responsible if anything happens to it before installation ,and it was not my responsibility , they do it all the time This was confirmed by someone in his office by phone He asked me to call him on his cell as soon as my plumber put in a water shut off valve behind the fridge and he would come today it self My handy man came immediately but when I called the delivery guy he refused to come and asked me to call customer service and get a new delivery date !! I went back to the store and the the earliest delivery was a week away ! The next delivery men arrived and said this was not their regular route and didn't know why they were told to come here !! I had disconnected the water supply , so they hauled away the old fridge and brought in the new one but did not hook it up !- Not even the power connection, they left the plastic on, did not set up the different bins /baskets - but left them in the plastic covering - left the fridge standing in the middle of the kitchen I sent a email to home depot customer service but haven't received a reply from them SO if you still want to get stuff from home depot please make arrangements for installation on your own - the delivery company that they use is unprofessional they left me hanging dry The whole procedure needs to be streamlined - from the buying to the hauling away and installation read more

While I love this store with lots of excellent helpful staff it is nothing like the opposite with my new windows I am still waiting to have installed, I have now being waiting almost 2 months, they don't seem to care, the manager who is the Homedepot contractor somewhere off site does not return my calls. I would not recommend buying windows through Homedepot even their call centre can't get the facts right. I'm a contractor and like almost every contractor who goes there can Not understand why during prime contractor hours would a store have a pow wow meeting??!? We are trying to get our material and get to our jobs but there is only 1register open! The line is literally down the isle, which makes it Unsafe and very difficult to maneuver around when you have a cart of building material you are pushing around! I don't understand or get why they don't have at least 3 registers opened from 6am-10am?!?!! It would make your customers happy, and keep your store safer to work and shop! I want to give a 0 star for the Secane PA Home Depot location! I ordered a new roof to be installed at my home from this location and the subcontractor HD hired was horrible, they did a lousy job from start to finish hired in 2012 an completed in 2013. The roof is still very much in bad condition in 2018!! I would not hire HOME DEPOT to do anything every again, in fact Im boycotting the store and telling everyone to shop with their competitors. The company has been very bad with a resolution to our leaking roof and after several calls and emails they were determined not to help resolve our problem despite it being under warranty since 2013. HD went on to blame my neighbor stating the problem was the result of their roof and not mine. I had an independent rep evaluate my roof and the rep said it was my roof and not neighbors. Regardless of the cause my roof is still not fixed and leaks a lot and HD has stopped all communications with us completely. Now we are not living there as of May 2018 for fear or mold and have to hire a new roofer to install another roof spending more money for a job that should have been done right the first time by HD. As a result I am giving them the lowest review score possible, take my advice and stay clear of HD period they do not deserve another customer for any products or service. The company is not reputable they lack any character and decency they do not stand behind their service and they are the biggest sham and shady company ever. To them the customer is never right, especially if HOME DEPOT have to spend their money to MAKE IT RIGHT for the customer even when they know they are wrong. read more

I went into this home depot with the and idea for a standing closet to replace a crappy IKEA one that we'd inherited from the previous residents of our apartment. Thats when I ran into Joe D, who completely walked me through the plans for the new closet, saving me more than 50% on supplies, and setting me up with a better closet than I would've made in the first place, then doing the measurement calculations for all of the wood, making cuts, and keeping the registers open 5 minutes after closing in order to make sure we got everything we needed. read more

TERRIBLE experience... I went to store in Clifton heights for what I thought a simple stair runner! I was under quoted over $800. The man who worked in this dept had no clue what he was doing. About 2-3 weeks after that someone came to measure. About a week after that I was able to finally place my order & ended up having to get something cheaper because I was so misquoted. 3 weeks later I got a call to set up install. Then, 3 weeks later, the day of my installation they called & cancelled due to damaged rug! A week later, new carpet came in & had to wait another 2 weeks to get back on install schedule. Finally.... The day of install (which they aren't able to give out a time frame at all either) & the guys show up & rug not bound. They thought they were doing wall to wall but I wanted it to be centered 26" across. They ended up folding rug under & stapling that way! I am truly traumatized by this ridiculous process & the installers' English was very broken & I couldn't understand what they were saying. In the end I was left with leftover carpet which they didn't need because they screwed up yet again! i recently bought a generator at the clifton heights home depot for hurricane sandy. i ended up not needing it and tried to return it since it was unopened and unused. when i got there the returns employee immediately opened it and accused me of opening it prior. when the manager john pierlott came over he stuck his nose in the gas reservoir and told me it smelled like gas and therefore not returnable. even after i explained to him that the factory needs to test them before they send them out he said no they dint and threatened to call the police if i did not leave the store. it goes directly against their return policy. as a manager john pierlott is useless since he walked away instead of dealing with the problem. another employee jeff plowden even went so far as to tell me he was going to see if any other gas products in the store had a scent of gasoline. he came back a couple of minutes later and told me no they didnt. WHAT A SCAM I WA S RIPPED OFF FOR $ 700. what a joke of a manager is this man. i would like to add that i have shopped at this store at least twice a week for the last 10 years so i am very dissapointed that they care so little about their customers to take advantage like that read more
