Black Friday morning. Understandably the store is extremely busy. While walking through with a cart of items I've picked up. An employee by the name of "Chris ", (African-American male approximately 6' 2" with a muscular build) proceeds to touch me in my kidney area from behind me and says excuse me and abruptly goes around me before I could even react. Then he gets to a woman ahead of me touches her shoulder and waist area and does the same thing. I catch him near the Customer Service and ask "must he touch people to get around them"? His words were "I have things to do" and walks away". Still standing there in disbelief. I watch "Chris" proceeded to the store entrance to pick up sale ads. Saying excuse me and wait till I move should be sufficient. You don't need to touch me or any other customers while performing your job. read more

Although I love the things that Home Depot sells, I cannot understand why this store does not enforce mask wearing. I saw several customers not wearing masks. I asked someone at Customer Service why they were not doing something about it, and I was told that they could not enforce the state mask mandate. I beg to differ; Home Depot can always deny service. I find it terrible that after a year of wearing masks that this store chooses not to promote the health and safety for its customers, not to mention its employees. Ordered a GE dishwasher from Home Depot in Oct. 2022, had a delivery date of Dec. 6 2022. On Dec. 2 2022 received an email telling the dishwasher would not be delivered until Jan. 2023. I am reviewing just the plant selection and nursery of this Home Depot- Overall, this is a nice store. Even though it is the dead of winter, they had just the plants I was looking for, Pothos and Jade. The thing I wish they had more of is a variety of pots and planters. These were located outside, but I didn't find a ton of selection for small/medium plants, only very large plants and more so outdoor plants. When I came back inside I did notice a few small pots (mostly the traditional terra-cotta style) but they were sitting on a shelf that looked as though it had been picked over. Like I said, dead of winter over here, so probably not the best time to be scoping the inventory, but I was very pleased with the plant selection! read more

Ordered a Samsung refrigerator 2/12, it was delivered with damages 2/19. I was told that the repair department would reach out to me, but they never did. I called and spoke to a rep named Steve who promised a repair and a damage allowance. I scheduled a repair for the second week of March, but no one contacted me. I was sent a text stating that someone would reach out to me. I was then told that my door was on back order so I would be comped and sent a whole new unit. I sent receipts to confirm my purchase. I was told to text back if I had any questions. I have been texting asking about the status of my replacement and damage allowance, but no communication. This entire experience has left a bad taste in my mouth completely. I feel both companies involved share the same amount of responsibility especially with a purchase of this magnitude. read more

Customer service is all I have to say! No matter when I go and to this location I get amazing service and appreciate not having to walk around for hours to find someone to help me. There really isn't anything they don't have for your home or garden. I would recommend waiting until the end of any of the seasons to get most things at an amazing price. They like to move the inventory. There are great no interest events to help you get that mower or other larger purchase. I would not recommend doing a Home Depot contractor service it takes awhile for them to send someone out and you are going to pay a lot more than if you worked directly with the contractor. The pros: if something goes wrong you can work with home depot to get it fixed. Con: you are paying more and the contractor is getting paid less for the same work. Overall recommend this store for the customer experience! read more

Came here since it was on the way home from work. I needed some lumber cut. When an employee (who was not wearing his mask even though there was one around his neck) saw me make Eye contact with him to ask for help he quickly stopped, turned around and walked around the corner as I was headed his way. I Stopped another employee instead who was walking down the aisle, but he said he didn't work that section and directed me towards the lumber cashier. When I asked the 3rd employee for help, she directed me towards the 1st employee who had originally walked away from me. He said he only did deliveries and made a call with the overhead speaker for customer assistance in lumber. I waited quite awhile, but no one ever showed up so I ended up leaving the store. I can understand if the lumber associate was on break, the store is understaffed due to COVID, but for THREE employees to just stand there and for one to walk away when I'm walking towards him for help- is unprofessional in addition to not wearing mandated masks. I'll be headed to Lowe's instead! read more

If I could give a zero I would. I bought over 12k of GE Cafe appliances. They delivered all of it and the dishwasher was dented, which it happens. 2 months later they delivered the new one. The delivery guys didn't attach it, threw it under the counter wrong and now it's trapped. When I called to get help I was treated with disrespect and hung up on twice. They indicated it wasn't their problem and I had "48 hours" to report anything. Why would anyone check to see if they can pull their dishwasher out? I will never shot at ANY Home Depot again. Oh, and they told me it's GE's problem not theirs. What a joke. Do better HD you have too much competition not to. read more

Good prices. One of the few places that offers a military discount everyday. You can finance big purchases with zero interest for at least 6 months. I went to order catalog items and they had similar items in-store. (military discount does not apply to online purchases). So I got a shed that I was going to order online with a nice discount. One thing, only one truck available that is in high demand, so you have to call before if you live farther than 10 minutes away. On the plus side, the truck includes a lot of tie-down straps and bungee cords! It also has a back-up alarm. Just be careful and park it pull through so you don't have to back out in a cramped parking lot like I had to. On weekends, Scott is Da MAN! He's so helpful. He gets a good workout helping load stuff and will even help you shopping! Only one thing is missing to make this a superior store: A Dominic's stand or something that can make good eats! read more

You know, I understand that there's only so many people allowed in the store. And it started raining, that sucks. I was in the rain too. But when I got to the front of the line and some jackass steps to the front next to me to cut in line it should have been addressed by the young lady at the door. I addressed it, and she said but yeah he's got a kid. Then she proceeded to let him in right behind me, with a growing line behind me. Senior citizens made to stand in the rain, other folks made to stand in the rain so she could favor this guy because he brought a kid, and she may have known him too. Screw that, I walked out and now am at the Lowe's only .4 miles away. I'll spend my money there. I was at Home Depot trying to find a chiminea that I had seen there several weeks ago. I spoke with John...I didn't catch his last name but he was a huge mountain of man. John seached all Home Depot locations in Virginia only to find that the chiminea that I wanted was out of stock. John searched further and found a location in North Carolina with the chiminea however it would likely not make it in one piece if it were to be shipped. John spoke to the manager of the NC location who coincidentally would be be coming to Richmond for the holidays. The manager will be personally transporting the chiminea to Richmond for me. I'm blown away by the level of customer service that John provided (as well as the manager from NC). John actively looked for solutions, thought outside of the box, and really cared. read more

Watch out everyone. There is your typical "Karen" that works at this Home Depot. Possibly racist as well since I'm Asian and she was giving me an extremely difficult time but not anyone else that was not. I went in with my dad to pick up 300 concrete slabs. So as a lot of items, if you pick up more than 12 items you have BULK PRICING. The guys that helped us out were very friendly and did all they could and really appreciated their help. They gave me a sku number to go ahead and check out at the register and then would bring the items out to our truck for loading. Sure, not a big deal right? Wrong. The "Karen" working there was extremely rude to me. She was in total disbelief that I was picking up 300 concrete slabs and couldn't believe it but typed it into the register for check out. Then she asked me if I wanted a Home Depot credit card and I refused because I was just not interested. She already looked upset because I wouldn't sign up for it. She ended up telling me the total, which didn't make sense since I already added up the amount before getting to the register. The slabs were $1.28 per slab and anything over 12 would be $1.15. I saw she rang me up for the full pricing but claimed it was already "discounted". I told her that it's over 12 items and that it should be at $1.15. She didn't want to hear it and refused to change the price and told me that she cannot change it because that's the way it is in their system. I told her kindly that I would show her but she refused and said she can't leave her register, so I suggested that I can go back to take a photo and bring it back to her. Then she gave me a bogus excuse saying that the slabs could be placed in the wrong place. My dad went and got the photo to show her and she refused to look at the photo and told me that I would have to bring another employee back to her as my "witness". I told her fine so I went back to get the gentleman that was helping me. He seemed like he got annoyed with that request and told me to take the photo and show her and I said that I did, but she refused to look anyways, so he had to go out of his way to tell her. I apologized to the gentleman but was told not to as it wasn't my fault, which is true. Why do I have to go through all this hassle just to get proof? So as we were walking back, I see this "Karen" talking to another employee next to her and talking out loud so other customers can hear that she can't believe I'm going through all this to get a discount. She must have failed at every math course in her lifetime. Although it was only 13 cents in saving off of one slab, that's still saving $39 as a total. I was extremely annoyed how she was chanting around making me sound like I was being stingy. If Home Depot didn't want me to make the savings, then fine, don't put up a sign if you don't want to give out any discounts but she made it into a huge issue. I did everything she asked and still kept refusing to punch in the discounted price. She argued with the gentleman trying to help me out so he ended up getting the manager to get involved. While we were waiting, this "Karen" magically was able to change the total price and gave us the discount that was posted after I had to make a huge scene over something so petty when she could have just done it and gotten it over with. Then she tried to come off on me and tell me that we "just got off on the wrong foot". Just so everyone knows, she was acting this way BEFORE the manager was able to come out to us. Ummmmm... no "Karen". We never got off on the "wrong foot". You were being extremely RUDE and also felt being racist since I was Asian and thought you would be able to get away with your actions and attitude if I would have just kept my mouth shut. After we checked out, the manager finally came by to get both of sides of the story and apologized for her actions. I appreciated his efforts, but it is still not good enough. People like her do not deserve to work where she has to deal with customer servicing. My dad went back into the store to use the restroom and told me she saw her somewhere else in the store STILL chanting around about the issue that we had. Great job Home Depot. It's great to see they hire idiots like this to work for them. Allow your employees to talk bad about your customers for something that Home Depot is advertising. You are better off going to Lowe's and get treated a lot more fairly than at Home Depot to be looked down upon because their signs say one thing, yet a certain "Karen" makes up her own rules when she feels like. If it wasn't for the manager and the other gentleman employee, this would have for sure been a -5 star review if I could. read more

On 03/07, I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator from Home Depot for my property that are being rented by senior couple. I lived out of state and figured that the most expeditious way of getting a new one was to get on the road for three hours and buy one directly from the store in the area where my property is located. I purchased the refrigerator and found out that the store didn't have one available on location but the clerk stated that he can order it and have it delivered in a week. I was given a delivery date of 03/13. The fridge was delivered damaged and not accepted. Home Depot contacted me and stated that the Delivery company will have to order a new one from the vendor--- Electrolux. I was provided another delivery date and waited another week for delivery. Week past and I was told that they had to change our delivery date due to "order error or inventory issue" I asked for explanation and was told to contact the vendor. I protested that as Home Depot customer I shouldn't be contacting the vendor... after about four hours of back and forth phone calls my new delivery date was then change for another two weeks. all this time I explained to my renter the " delivery issue" and due to corona virus epidemic and time already invested, we were better off to just wait it out (Btw, my renter has another refrigerator to use but located at the garage and very cumbersome to access--especially for their age). Two weeks past and 24 hours prior to the "new" delivery date I contacted HD appliance section. After about 3 to 4 transfers and almost an hour on the phone, I reached somebody just say that someone will contact me after one hour or around 5 to 6 pm. But guess what? No one contacted me! Today, the day of delivery, I contacted Home Depot to check for the status... As soon as HD clerks mentioned that she would have to contact the delivery company because there's "new issue with my order". I kind of knew and sensed delivery would not happen again. Their excused this time was the vendor had messed up the ordering process. My patience had run out at this point and I decided to completely cancel my order. I explained to them I'll be better off buying another refrigerator from their competition company LOWE'S...but before I can do that, I need to cancel my order. The clerk said that she would have to contact the vendor for cancellation notification and called me back saying that my cancellation request was "approved" but will take effect in 2 to 3 days. I said fine but I need a cancellation confirmation number....this when the ugly gets uglier. Just like weeks before, I was again directed to contact the vendor and deal with the cancellation order. Per Home Depot (clerks, 800 customer service rep, and store assistant manager)....Home Depot deal with this transaction as a second party and they can't do nothing or give me a cancel confirmation until it gets through( whatever that means). I refused to do just that and repeatedly (now raising my tone) reminded them that I should have not to deal with anyone else but Home Depot. After almost whole day of talking to all I can contact at Home Depot, the assistant store manager gave me a verbal assurance that my order will be cancelled and get my refund in two to three days, and his appliance assistant manager will get back with me tomorrow to ensure that their system(s) had actually cancel my order. Home Depot should take responsibilities for any actions (or lacking) of their subcontractors. For such a reputable corporation this experience is very disappointing and frustrating. It was a major inconvenience, not to mention the time lost due to hours and hours I spent trying to get a resolution. I'm waiting to hear back from them tomorrow and see what "issue" will they have on their plate. read more

My errand at Home Depot today was a very pleasant and experience. Jamie, also known as 'nite light' in the key department configured an adapter for my keys. I continually have trouble finding them in the bottom of my purse. He fixed me up so my keys can attach to the zipper hardware on the top of the bag. On Friday 05/14/2021 Home Depot came to remove and install dishwasher. At around 12pm a gentleman named Deangelo called my wife at work telling her they broke a pipe and water was all over my kitchen floor and living room carpet. He assured her he would have a plumber come fix it and everything would be fine by the time we came home from work. When we got home there was water all over my kitchen. I called Home Depot and spoke to the store mgr , she told me I had to hire a plumber, pay out of pocket than put a claim in for possible reimbursement. Mr Deangelo sent a friend (plumber) who would take care of problem free of charge. His friend said he wasn't equipped to fix the problem. Now it's Monday, I haven't had running water since Friday because they shut it off so it wouldn't leak. It's still leaking! This is not the customer service I expected from Home Depot. No-one has bothered to follow up with me since Friday!!! read more

Very disappointed in the customer service. Walked around looking for someone and was told "I don't work in that department". Finally went to the customer service desk and the lady got on the phone and called someone to meet me by the generators. 15 minutes later no one showed. I go back to the desk and the lady literally steps away when she sees me coming and starts acting busy with some papers. Asked another associate for help and they got the guy who was supposed to be helping me but he said "I'm busy right now" without asking what I needed directing me, anything. At that point I threw my hands up and walked out which everyone seemed to be fine with. Sent in a negative survey on their site and they "rejected" a 1 star rating saying it violated their posting guidelines. Dog and hardware lovers, this is your store! The friendliest staff of any hardware store I have EVER shopped at (and I've been going to this store for 5 of my 57 years). Not only is the staff amazingly nice, knowledgeable and helpful, but you can bring your dogs! The staff loves my greyhound and whippet. This particular Home Depot has been declining a great deal over the last several years. The selection of goods and services is hardly worth the trip and makes Lowes look like the greatest DIY store on the planet which is not exactly the case but this location truly does. The employees are among the most rude and inconsiderate bunch I know of in the area next to the Walmart at Walmart Way off Midlothian Turnpike. The employees seem to ignore the fact they're employment relies on their customers. Yesterday was probably the last time I'll visit this store. Black employees ignoring white customers. Most employees will walk into you opposed to around you. When you need assistance no one is there to help you. When assistance is to be found they are so consumed by the person they've "helping" that it's not uncommon to be stepped in front of what you are currently looking at and even bump into you with no apologies. It is apparent that they remain open only for mere convenience and laziness of customers to drive to a more superior store. read more
