I have a small outdated kitchen with little functionality. After a couple weeks I had an amazing kitchen design that not only made the most of my budget and space, but Allison tweaked things several times when I changed a sink and range size. Her attention to detail was excellent. I met Molly while working with Allison. She is like the Siri of appliances. She had a wealth of information at her fingertips and even scoped out some options for me. When the time came to look seriously at appliances it was a total waste of time to go big box stores where they couldn't even answer simple questions and told me nobody made 18" dishwashers. ‍ Molly spent over 2 hours pouring over details of ranges and fridges with me and worked out 3 packages to choose from. Additionally she looked at who had rebates and promos available. BEST offers everything from budget appliances, scratch and dent specials to very high end choices for the discerning customer. I always prefer to support local business and am pleased with my experiences. It's unfortunate that people are less likely to post positive experiences (and I've heard so many about this business) and mostly complainers run to post their experience. They would have never been in business so long in Rutland and Woodstock if they weren't doing things right.

Unfortunately, the washing machine has never worked. Their service people came out and misdiagnosed the issue repeatedly, ultimately instructing us to re-wire our outlets and install non-code compliant outlets. Bad advice, and that was ultimately proven to not be the issue. As we tried to fix the issue, the manufacturer's warranty lapsed. Reluctantly, we paid an additional $500 out of pocket (on a $1000 machine) for their service techs to come back out and install various other parts, but without ever fixing the machine. From day 1, the machine was a lemon. And to this day, the machine is not working. Best's sales staff's proposed resolution is to charge us full price for a new machine. Phone calls to management go unreturned. They give bad advice, don't stand behind their work, and clearly don't care about fixing issues for their customers. Needless to say, we've taken our business elsewhere and will never go back to Best for any reason. Do business here at your own risk. Zero stars.

Noise came less than a year and they came back with more parts- but said everything looked ok and the parts were not needed. Well - it just died and had to replace. I know these things happen - but it just got a clean bill of health so how to we go from one to another so quickly. I question the diagnosis skillset here. The customer then said, why would I do that? I'll just order it myself then put it in myself. I miss the old days in which a customer mattered and the sales person cared. We need a great appliance store in the area. This is not to criticize so much as to hope you can up your game. Helping someone order an appliance is your job. He was shoving furniture around and near chased us out of the furniture section. Pushing a heavy flat furniture box right at my childs feet nearly knocking her down and right behind my back. I turned around to see her pinned up against large standing piece of furniture. The manager never apologized. He just glared wide-eyed and said "I was watching. I have kids of my own!" This employee should not be working so closely to customers that if they take a step back they are going to get hit by what he is kicking around. Especially near children who often move abruptly and sporadically, especially when frightened. This is a threat to public safety. I will NOT be going there again. And I don't suggest going there with children. It is not a safe place and does not uphold community integrity.

But they've seemed to have gotten greedy and have out priced themselves. Too bad. Recently we purchased a new dishwasher and we called them for an estimate to install it and they wanted $150.00 to install a $249.00 dishwasher. We called around and found another plumber/electrician to install it for $75.00. My advice to customers is to call around. And my advice to Service Pros is to check your prices against your competition.

I called the company I got the warranty through 4 times, they said they talked to the lady at Service Pro twice in person and sent 4 emails. I called Service Pros once and the very rude woman said she had never heard of me or my claim. During my last call to the warranty company they finally said I could call my own guy. Champlain Appliance called me back 12 hours after I called, came to my home 24 hours after I called and are now working with the warranty company to get my dishwasher fixed. I still can't believe it took 24 DAYS to get a call from Service Pro, talk about unprofessional!!!
