After being told three times by the shipping dept. that they would personally make sure my appliances shipped (after multiple days of no shows) - here we are day three, shipping scheduled for 8 - 12 this morning - and guess what, I get a call from shipping saying they forgot to load my appliances on the truck. I have days of countless texts and emails saying my appliances shipped - some even said delivered.... still, no appliances. So my husband has to take off yet another day (4th) from work to accept the delivery again.. I would never, ever, ever buy from this company online again. Between the technology part of texts and emails with incorrect information, and the lack of assistance from people who promised to personally make sure my appliances shipped but did not follow through - this has been a nightmare. Any savings from Cyber Monday have been consumed by lost work. read more

Went to the Home Depot this weekend and I tried to use the bathroom and it had a very unpleasant smell and there was feces all over the tiling and some employes orange vest on the floor with the smell coming from there. My child had to leave the bathroom because it was so bad and I heard sexual noises coming from the bathroom stall (the big one) where the employee was sitting (with his clothes off) all of his clothes were off and draped on the floor, as a parent I stayed there and waited to confront the worker and some red haired heavyset middle aged man came out of the bathroom with a shocked look on his face as I accused him of doing inappropriate behavior in the bathroom and he told me his name was Nick lapointe but his name Nate said salem. Very unhappy with this disgusting behavior. As I left he let out a booming flatulence that wafted towards me. Extremely unprofessional behavior and now my son has pink eye. The overall interior of the store was filthy and hard to find things. Was hard to find help to ask questions. This store has declined in a huge way and it's a shame. If the workers and managers would take pride in this store, it'd be popular. Even the lawn area was a mess. I don't have photos but things were thrown all over the place. I placed a Web order for pick up. When I got to Home Depot, they could not find my order. The young lady gave me the aisle and bay info and I had to go get the pieces myself. Had I have been in the mood for shopping that would've been fine. The whole reason I placed a Web order is because I wanted to pick it up and leave in a hurry. I understand that accidents happen. Hopefully they will look into it to make sure there is not an outstanding problem. read more

I'm sorry to report that each time I've shopped at this location there's always a negative issue. I'm not a NH resident. However it clearly states that entering the store masks / face coverings are mandatory. I'm also aware that the company has specifically mandated the same for ALL their associates... Well, during my visit today I counted several associates either pulling their masks down so they did absolutely no good. Or, masks are not covering their noses.. What is that about???? I needed to return some items and had to wait at the dreaded customer service area. And the maybe second time I've returned something I got the same miserable associate... She is because the last visit went so poorly that I couldn't possibly forget. So here we go again... Before I could even explain that I had 2 separate receipts, she jumped on me that I needed to be ready? WT___,! Ready for what? Of course noticing that her mask was down, I asked that if she was going to assist me that she stay behind the barrier....ok, so things werent starting off real well... Hey, if they aren't going to comply with wearing the facial covering properly, I want to be safe. She grabbed the stuff and was so difficult I said it looks like we need an SM to assist.... Amazing how all the hostility stopped and she got quiet. There was something that needed to be looked up - due to my experience as an employee I guided her through it and again, the nasty vicious attitude.... ALL I wanted was to return items that I'm unable to use.. that is all and I don't care whether you want to help me or not. If you hate your job then either try to be moved to another dept....or go somewhere else! So eventually the return was completed. I left and went to purchase 1 cleaning item I needed... Came over to self checkout & noticed I was getting the stink eye from a cashier - again with a face covering NOT worn properly. . Are these people all related ? Or what? This is crazy! This place is a Joke. Assistant Manager DAVE haha great customer service there slick. The flooring and blinds department needs to get there stuff together. I have done close to 20k worth of business in last 6 months, went in to get 15 blinds cut, was told please come back in 35 minutes to a hour, I said I would pay for these and then go out to eat with my co-worker, the blinds guy was so busy he said he didn't have time to ring me up just said pay when i get back. SO, while paying this co-worker to work, came back a hour later blinds not done, was asked to come back later. So we went did more shopping came back 2 hours later, still not done, was told to please give me my number and name so they can call me once they are done. I paid a employee to take another drive by this wonderful Seabrook NH store. Guess What?!!! Not done. Waited 4 days NOT A SINGLE PHONE CALL!!!!! I went back today, 4 days later and well they had them, buuuuut they ended up "Doing Inventory" and well decided to get rid of the blinds, so they now do not have them. I am a Pro Member, I spend a lot of money and get no service, this place is terrible. So the Assistant Manager haha made me wait 20 minutes before he would come talk with me, when he came out, this guy literally has no customer service, he's terrible. I manage a Hotel on Hampton Beach, and have 5+ years of retail STORE MANAGEMENT experience with multi multi million dollars of revenue each year, and this is not how you talk, nor treat a customer, not an apology, not a we will fix this, not well take money off, not well do what it takes to keep you, the customer happy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I was actually BLAMED!! For not paying for these ahead of time, even though I was told not to because the blinds guy didn't have the time to walk the blinds back to the cutter after purchase haha. I really really wish i could leave a 0 as a feedback Like I said i run a 70 room motel on Hampton Beach, DAVE the ASSISTANT IDIOT told me "Go measure the windows again and bring the measurements back and well do it right for you this time" Now keep in mind I tossed my measurement list and room number list because i wrote it all on the boxes that they THREW OUT. So i have to pay someone to go through 70 rooms and figure it out AGAIN!!!! I rented a 35' boom lift from Home Depot via their sub contracted company Compact Power Equipment rental. The phone number I dialed was 888-266-7228. Compact power presents themselves as Home Depot BUT they are not Home Depot. The rental cost me approximately $300/day and I paid $99 for delivery and $99 for pick up. On Monday morning the lift wasn't delivered at 8AM as agreed to. I called Compact Power, still thinking they were reputable and still thinking they were home depot. Compact Power said they were sorry and didn't have anyone or any way to get the lift to me. I quickly drove to Home Depot in Seabrook to figure out where the confusion was. It is at HOME DEPOT that I learned that COMPACT POWER, phone number 888-266-7228, is NOT HOME DEPOT, nor would they honor the agreement we had. Home Depot rented a boom lift to me, luckily they had one available, and I drove home. My project started late so I couldn't return the lift until late day two which cost me an extra $300. I would NEVER rent from COMPACT EQUIPMENT. And shame on Home Depot for allowing Compact Power to pretend they are Home Depot. read more

What five stars at the Home Depot? I have been there numerous and other locations but never felt wow, They are awesome until today. First I go to rent a truck . Bill you were awesome and helpful.Really 20 bucks for the truck I feel it was a steal. Have rented from a truck rental company down the road and seeing the Home Depot truck was night and day. Has easy fold down gates and steel plated to withstand scratches. Definitely not going to get whacked paying for a scratch in that bed just bringing lumber home. Off to the lumber section. Replacing decking at home a bit confusing when I got in the lumber section. Not because of the layout. Just me trying something I wasn't 100 percent on what type of wood I needed. Help was right the to answer my question. I felt like da man now with my cart of wood and off to the pro desk check out I go. Pro Desk yup. No clue what I was doing but I was going out that way. Told the cashier I needed a section of fence that was outside. She looked it up and checked my order out. So I got the rental truck and my cart of lumber at the contractor pick up area. Loading all my lumber. This young guy comes over in a bright vest. It said something like pro helper. Pro loader or something. He asked if he could take my cart for me as it was empty. I tell him I'm going to use it to grab a section of fence. He said if I already paid for it he could help he load it. I show my receipt and we pick one out. It was awesome to have someone right there to help with that awkward 8x6 foot fence. Heck I was so happy to have an extra hand for that . I should have put a big S on the vest ! Way to lend a hand.. Went today to purchase a Toro Chainsaw. The inventory from the website had the location wrong which was fine as I was there a couple of days earlier purchasing a Toro blower/trimmer so I figured out where it really was. I needed to purchase chainsaw oil, which the website said there was qty 35 available. There was nothing on the shelf. After looking for 5 minutes for someone to help, I went to the service desk and they said someone would right over to help. After 15 minutes I headed back to the service desk and ran into an employee. I asked for help and he told me he does not work that dept and kept walking. When back to the service desk and again I was told someone would be over. After several minutes the guy who refused to help me ("not my dept") shows up. I showed him the shelf where the item should have been. He scanned the tag on the shelf 4 times (not sure why) and seemed lost. Another employ showed up. He tried to get me to purchase a similar item but after waiting all this time I wanted the item I waited for. They walked around looking at the top shelf (never pulled the steps out to actually look on the upper shelf) and then said they had no more (hard to believe with the qty reported as 35). I was done wasting time grabbed the other bottle of oil and headed to check-out. I passed the customer server desk and my frustration level was high, so I though I share my thoughts with the manager. CS called for the manager and after 5 minutes the 2nd person who was looking for the oil came up. I expressed my frustrations and all he said was, "OK","OK",OK"... Looked totally uninterested and when I was done he just looked at me. No I'm sorry, etc. I walked away headed to the checkout and then I thought why would I buy anything from this store and give them my money. I brought the cart back to the manager and told him I could not in good conscience give them my money and handed him the cart. I would have gone down the Lowes if they sold Toro, but hey don't. I will be going to my local Ace Hardware where they actually care about customers. I plan on never going back to this HD read more

I ordered a dishwasher and fridge they were to arrive the same day so my contractor could install the fridge. The delivery drivers did not speak English and had no GPS. The did eventually show up without the dishwasher. The Ast Mgr. explained the dishwasher had been cancelled and could not say by whom. He implied perhaps I had done it in speaking to the Ast Mgr. in a different store the dishwasher is back ordered by the Manufacturer and would never have arrived. It will take a few days before my Credit Card is refunded. read more

This location always has what you are looking for and more. The people here are also very helpful and nice. They always have specials too on flooring and other items. Only reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is that they seem to be so busy they don't have quite enough help. Lost in a sea of lumber I searched high and low to find someone to help me. The only person available was an older dude who, you could tell, didn't give two shits about his job. I asked if they had some scrap lumber, ( I need it for a pallet project), and he patronizingly explained that they don't have any because they wouldn't make any money off it. Because I was going to get it for free??? He simultaneously "helped" another customer who asked where an unrelated item was. He told him aisle 15 to which the customer replied "I've been up and down that aisle already and it's not there.". Then the guy tells him to try aisle 27, brush off included. The 5 star review is for an employee named Laura (or Lauren? Maybe?) that helped me on what I believe was 5/25/17. I was searching for a particular house plant. I asked an associate for help and tried to motion her over to the plants, but she wouldn't come and blankly stated "whatever we have is over there." I was a bit frustrated by her unwillingness to even help. Soon I asked a different employee named Laura. Laura. Began to look through the plants and help me. We couldn't find it. She said that they were picked through a lot over the weekend but she would be happy to take my number and call me when the new truck showed up. Laura went above and beyond. She was sweet and so helpful. She made up for the other employee by a long shot. read more

We had a terrible experience with a samsung dryer we purchased on-line. The samsung folks have a completely broken process, poor communication, and an awful delivery team. We spoke the seabrook Home Depot store manager (Dave). After weeks of failed promises from Samsung, Dave took full ownership of the issue, replaced the dryer and personally delivered it. While, we wont be purchasing Samsung, we will shop solely with Home Depot because of the outstanding customer service. read more

So disappointed in Home Depot. I've always shopped there - they've been my #1 hardware store. Not anymore. I purchased backsplash river rock stone from them and there was nothing with this particular backsplash that told us that when it was grouted it would change the color of the stone. We even sealed the stone and that didn't help. We went back to Home Depot, they offered to reimburse me for the material used but had to send the information to get the final approval. This is the last time we heard from them. We've tried to contact them to no avail. Even the manufacturer Jeffery Court told us that Home Depot would make good on this for me. But I've lost $792.88 thanks to no information provided by either Jeffery Court or Home Depot. read more

I will say, this was the cleanest Home Depot that I had ever been it. Spotless. I went in looking for a specific Quikrete fast setting mortar repair and was advertised as being stocked online. Upon arriving, they were out of this one mortar, (of course) and one of the store employees recommended to me another brand made from "rapid set". This was not even close to being a comparible product. This was basicly large pebbles in a mortar mix to fill large holes. Not for finishing work or as a topper as i was using the other. Just very frusttraining because I was in the middle of the job and ran out and this set me back well over 2 hours of my time.. Lesson, have enough so that you dont need a home depot reccommondation from this place in the concrete department. read more

I have used Home Depot pretty frequently for house hold repair and maintenance items in the Seacost NH area. Mostly out of convenience and price. As a box store my expectations are adjusted for that. I dont expect the same service I would get at a locally owned hardware store. I dont expect the help to be particularity knowledgeable about product use or what they might have as alternatives if something is out of stock. But I do expect them to be helpful, as best as they can be to find an item or when checking out. This varies dramatically by store. What frustrates me is when after you finally find someone to help you to look for an item, they look on their computer and tell you there are X Items in stock. After looking for a ladder and then poking around in a high bay for a while they can not find even one. You then get conflicting stories. You get conflicting excuses from floor sales to customer service the manager. After 30 minutes of wasted time you end up going elsewhere. I find the Seabrook NH store to be one of the worst in my area. They seem to have a high turn over in the help. On the other side I find the North Hampton and Portsmouth NH Store to be dramatically better. Their employees seem to be longer term and they are much more helpful on average. Some even have some product knowledge and share helpful advice. It makes you wonder about the local store management when their is unusually high turnover. This is not new. I have observed this for years about the Seabrook store. Therefore, I wont blame it all on the pandemic. To be fair I am sure it has impact at all locations. All employees are polite from store to store. I expect that as a minimum, anywhere. But not all are helpful and respect your time and intelligence. If more of the employees in my area could be more helpful and cut out the conflicting excuses I might give a better star rating. read more

I'm shocked to see so many negative reviews. I work for 2 contractors take on my own small jobs and do just about every project myself. I prefer home depot mostly because how much Lowe's sucks. Terrible experiences in there. Specifically this home depot has treated me extremely well and gone the extra. I had one terrible experience a couple years ago. I walked in telling my cousin a story about this kid I knew pan handling and how much he pulled from it, just random bs following a political discussion with the crew and 10 minutes later was asked to leave the store for pan handling. I was 21 with facial hair and in my work clothes. Stereotype much? Then when my dad walked up to the man who kicked me out he had no knowledge of this happening less than 5 minutes earlier. My dad spends A LOT of money there. Eric the snake, haven't seen him since. Otherwise nothing but good news here. No issues exceptional customer service every time. Corporate should drop tradition and do a new color scheme. Lowe's would be out of business is this company just worked on cosmetics. Sad to see Greg is no longer there, but stoked to see Francis in the flooring department. Only employee I could stand from Lowe's. Very helpful guy, take all your flooring problems to him. read more

When I told him I wanted to paint plain weather vanes, he seemed very interested in my project. He said that, as a teenager, he'd made a weather vane too. He showed me the Rust-Oleum paints and primers and explained my options - if I wanted to go all out or if I wanted to take shortcuts. read more

I had purchased cabinets from HD in Seabrook NH for my kitchen and bathroom. Nothing expensive or fancy, but they were sufficient for a first time home buyer's renovation. It was really the design assistance of Erik in the kitchen design department that made a positive experience. Then I decided to outfit our office with cabinets and I had the misfortune of working with Don from the kitchen design department. Don may be the most bizarrely unhelpful sales/design person I have ever encountered. Sadly Erik was out the day I went for my initial consultation and I stuck with Don. If Don is the only designer when you arrive...run. When my mother, fiancé and I sat down with him he spent the majority of time muttering and acting like we put him out asking for him....ummm....to design. We weren't new at this and brought the accurate measurements for the small office project, yet Don was really put out. He bemoaned the HD computer program the entire time and added an extra hour to our sessions with his one finger typing. During the first appointment my mother and fiancé had to walk away to avoid strangling him. At the second appointment, I got in a fight with him about having the small number of cabinets shipped to the store for my pick up rather than incur a $175 shipping fee. NB: the managers always approved my picking up the cabinetry so don't let Don convince you it will take a lot of convincing to let you do that. Bottom-line if you are using the HD cabinet design services at this location DO NOT WORK WITH DON. read more

This is a sad commentary on how customer service is handled in the modern era. Story goes like this... First, I am a Home Depot shareholder (ticker symbol HD) but I now ship at Lowes only. Why? Well, I went to this Home Depot in Seabrook to get some replacement o-rings for a commercial grade 3 bay sink. I brought the faucet piece with me to assure I got the correct diameter o-ring, to test fit in the store. All is well, I found the o-rings I needed, plus a few other things I didn't know I needed until I saw them, checked out, and went on my merry way. When I returned back to the restaurant to install the o-rings and re-install the faucet, only to realize that I had forgotten it in the shopping cart. I immediately call their customer service desk and speak to a woman. I explain exactly what I did and used these EXACT words "Hi, has anyone turned in a faucet part for a stainless sink? I was just there about 40 min ago and I left it in the shopping cart and I cannot replace it, it is important that I find it, so if you could look that would be fantastic." I was clearly expressing urgency as to the importance of this part. She said she would look, and to please hold. She picked up and said "no, nobody turned anything in." I then asked her a favor. I said "Okay, thanks. So I left it in a shopping cart right outside the exit, it was grouped with 3 other carts in the same area, straight out the door if you exit from the left. If you could please, go out there and see if it is still there. If it is, please grab it and hold it at the customer service desk for me, that would be huge." She said "Ummm, okay." Not very confidence inspiring of a reply but she did agree. 40 min later I arrive. I walk up to the exit, there's my shopping cart, right where I left it, faucet sitting in the bottom of the cart. Nobody moved a muscle. What a shame that we have become this way. I am up about 22%, I think I will sell my shares and buy myself something nice, or some Lowe's stock (symbol LOW.) read more

I too had the misfortune of dealing with Don for my kitchen a few years ago. He was quick to take my money (over 10 K). When I had a problem with the cabinets showing up damaged he wouldn't return my phone calls. I left several messages for him. Finally I had to contact Kraft Maid myself and deal with thier rep. I am a contractor and remodel kitchens all the time. I haven't been back to Home Depot since. Good Luck read more

Just had a horrible experience with Home Depot. Ordered window treatments. Was told it would take 7 to 14 business days and to check with them a few days later for an EST date. Spoke with them 5 days later and they said the order was shipped. On the 14th business day I called and found out that only 1 window treatment was in and the other 2 were back ordered for another 43 days because the material was out of stock. When I asked why nobody bothered to tell us until I called, I got different answers from the customer service rep, the manager and later the "expediter " who said we should cancel the order. Now I have to start all over again. This is an all time low for Home Depot. Beware when you buy special orders from them. read more

We ordered a refrigerator at this location to replace ours that decided to stop working 2 weeks before we were having family come stay with us for a week. We ordered the refrigerator and planned to have it delivered before our family arrived. I took the day off from work to meet the delivery service. The fridge showed up with a dent! After learning we would now need to wait another week for another fridge I went to speak to the appliance salesman at HD. Robert was great and he tried to assist me. The manager on the other hand was not helpful. He made no attempt to resolve the problem nor did he even come out of his office to speak to me. So thank you Sears for the fridge! It works great! When you're spending $2000 on an appliance some customer service to go with it would be nice. read more
