I would like to give a shout out to the woman employee that was working late Saturday afternoon in the HVAK department. Our air conditioner stopped working and we needed a part that we ended up trying to find at Home Depot, our local location did not have it but she found us one up in Melbourne in New Haven and I couldn't be happier with her customer service not only her friendliness but also her determination to help us find that part. We drove up and we were able to purchase and it saved the day. I wish I would've gotten her name, she was a little bit of an older lady beautiful inside and out. Went approximately 0800 to purchase a few items. Tried checking out THREE times.....their "systems were down all across the store." Each time I tried the registers said it could not execute the transaction. I asked the lady who was taking me to different registers would I be charged.....she said I could go home and check my bank balance. Well I did......HD had charged me 33 times to the tune of almost $7000 and wiped out my bank account. I guess they felt like they couldn't get any more. Attorneys to follow. read more

On August 12, I arrived at the garden center at 7am The garden center has a sign posted that it opens at 7am. I asked the two employees outside if the center will be opening soon. The one employee said she is probably running late. I waited until 710 and decided to walk through the front doors. After I grabbed the items I needed at the garden center, I go up to the register that is now manned by a blonde female employee. She blurts out, you need to give me a few minutes to set up. This is now 7:20am. I said to the employee, the garden center opens at 7am correct? She rudely says, yea but I don't clock in until 7am. I asked why is there a sign that says the center opens at 7am. She stated I don't know and I don't care. After I told her how rude she was being, she said back, thanks for ruining my day. I have never encountered such a rude employee at this location. She was rude and disrespectful. She has no business working in customer service. After this encounter, I spoke with the store manager Annil who was kind and listened to my complaint and said he would address this with her. read more

Home Depot you suck!!! my delivery has been pushed back 5 times, every time they lie and tell you another lie!! They have no answers. My money is tied up in this delivery and I cant get my stuff, mean while its sitting in the store, but no one will deliver it!!!! Never never again will I shop. I have taken off work. Went to purchase an appliance... When I called they said they had it in stock but when I actually got there they had nothing in stock and no one knew anything about me calling. So luckily they were able to locate one in another location. When I got to the other location the item that was supposedly being held for me nobody in that particular location knew anything about an item being held for me. On the upside they were announcing that the new trainees should return to the training room from their break. Hopefully they train these employees how to do their job correctly. read more

Overall Home Depot is a wonderful place to go for all building and home supplies. The staff however, tends to be young and unexperienced with little knowledge of products. If you get an older person it's a different story. They tend to know what they're talking about and generally the staff is very helpful. Good product selection, helpful staff. We shop here a lot since there aren't really any other choices for home improvement around here, but the store is usually very well stocked and staff is extremely helpful. Our most recent trip was for the purchase of a new range for our kitchen and the appliances associate was top notch. He offered help immediately but we wanted to stroll around first and get a feel for the selection. Once we were ready, he gave us detailed information on the various styles and models and really knew his inventory. We bought a smart convection range with an integrated air fryer from Samsung and he gave us a brief run through of how to set it up once it was delivered. It was delivered earlier than expected on the day it was scheduled. They called ahead with a time range and then texted a tracking link. The delivery team called us 20 minutes out and were fast and efficient in getting us set up. This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. read more

I have been to this store multiple times and each time I'm greeted by a friendly smile and asked if I need any help. With so many options for Home Depot style stores, the reason I keep coming back is the staff and selection of items. I'm a gal who loves her garden stuff, and I came here looking for some new plants and the staff help out with selection and rerouting to maybe a better option for what I was working with. I needed help getting this old Carpet Glue off my new apartment's Terrazzo Floors. Didn't have a clue where to begin. Luckily when I walked in Lucia and Brad knew just what I needed and helped me find a metal brush and pro scraper. Then we ran into the store manager Becky and it turns out she had recently completed a similar project. She gave me the tip to use boiling water instead of room temperature and I tell you what, it made a huge difference!!! Thank you Home Depot! we needed help in the garden department with some river stones. we asked for help loading on cart. they sent a very small petite lady in her 50s. she tried to pick up a bag and struggled to put on cart. my husband had to finish loading the rock. he has a bad back and thats why we asked for help. instead of sending a man to help they sent this little woman who was more than willing to try. she said its ok. this is my job. we got to check out and mentioned to the cashier about the lady instead of a man and they both replied in an awful tone. thats her job. Please, anyone with common sense would have sent a man. Home Depot. what is wrong with you. this lady didnt even weigh 100 lbs but was willing to help read more

I love the Home Depot, but I purchased a special order product on my Home Depot card, staff was very helpful. However I never got a statement from them so I forgot about it, 2 months later I started getting calls from collection agency. I called HD to straighten it out, they were charging me $35 per month late fee plus interest. I would have paid the whole thing off if I had gotten a statement. Subsequently they took 1 late fee off and I paid 1 late fee plus interest. I paid off the entire amount. I don't think I should have paid a late fee as I did not get a statement and the business office was not helpful. Elaine S. read more

i received a small refrigerator last week. it arrived a week past its scheduled delivery date and had two major dents on the front. one dent was on the freezer door and the other was on the refrigerator door. i didn't bother to report it to home depot because of their unsatisfactory business practices. almost three months ago, i ordered an upright freezer from home depot. to date they have been unable to deliver it. they refuse to remove the charge from my credit card. they claim i must pay the bill anyway, even though they are in breach of contract. failure to pay this bill will adversely effect my credit rating. needless to say, calling this crew would not result in a satisfactory conclusion to my door dilemma. it would only result in further aggravation, which i prefer to avoid. i'm sorry but every word of this review is absolutely true. carol tafuro read more

They have become very dog friendly but their management sucks. I drive 30 miles to go here vs going to the Lowes about 17 miles away because I like the product lines better. Very helpful staff. Usually everything in stock. Today however, I checked on line and saw there were 19 units of a great stuff foam gun I wanted. Drove over and nothing on the shelf. An associate did some digging and said they were out back but being saved for "Black Friday" WTF!!! From now on, Everything that I can get through Amazon is they way I'm going. Not the best Home Depot I've ever been to. How can you find Plastic Wood when the employees have no idea what it is!!!! Can't even use the HD app or website to find things.
