My experience with this Ag pro who recently moved to a new location was nothing short of great. "Wes" John Schwiers was the salesman who assisted me throughout the process. While he has only been working there for 2 months and didn't have the answers to all my questions, he promptly tracked down those answers and provided the kind of customer service one would expect from the company, which helped build this country. This was not exactly your typical salesman experience where they shove their "best" deal in your face. We worked through what my "need" was, and I was provided options to make the best decision for myself and our farm. This is the kind of service I expect from a company like Ag Pro/ John Deere. They have some 240 locations across the country and the Anderson location has been in business since 2002. I went in today to get a part for my ailing water heater and they were helpful and accommodating. Based on a simple problem, the guy who helped me made a recommendation and sent me on my way. As it turns out, when I got home and saw that the part/device he sold me wasn't going to fit, I called a plumber for advice. He said that the device I was sold was not what I needed at all and that I was lucky that I had not been able to install it...that my problem would have remained. (expansion tank) He said I needed a pressure regulator to reduce the water pressure for the whole house, and I should not try to address the problem at the water heater. To their credit at Winnelson, they did allow me to return the two parts I had bought, but I could tell they did not want to. They didn't have much choice though because I had already covered that base before I bought the parts...I asked before I bought them. I am the first to review this business and I have to give them a 3 because they led me down a dead end road with bad advice, but my guess is that if there were a lot of reviews, most might be higher because I am sure this place enjoys a good reputation among the contractors who use it. I am also sure that they are used to the people (contractors) who come in for parts/supplies, etc. already knowing what they need because it is their business to know. A plumber would not have accepted the device that they sold me because they would know better, and I realize this. But I am not a plumber and I relied on their advice. If they were not sure of it, they probably shouldn't have given it. On the other hand, I appreciate that they were trying to help me save some money by doing it myself. Still, at the end of the day, it was bad advice and it could have cost me almost $50 that I could not recoup.

I was called with the results from the diagnostic and was quoted an outrageous $250 for the repair and refused over the phone. The next day when I went to pick it up from the store there was brand new damage to the HDMI port that was not there when I dropped it off (broken metal casing and a broken pin). I am no longer able to even insert an HDMI cable all the way because of the broken pin and the console no longer connects to my TV (or any TV in the house) at all. Just know if you refuse a wildly priced service from them they will intentionally damage your device.
