Terrible experience! Just moved to area and exited to order a new washer and dryer. The appliances were delivered one week after order but dryer was defective and washer hose was not installed correctly. Called one hour after install and since then nothing but horrible customer service. When they got back to us they said it was over 48 hours so we will have to wait! Never called the next day and now saying we need to wait another week! SO FRUSTRATING! Information about the problem was misconstrued. AFTER THEY SENT A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT and/or INSTALLED INCORRECTLY! A lot of lip service though. Will never buy another appliance from this Home Depot. read more

Being the closest Home Depot to my house, this is usually my main Home Depot and although I have been coming here for years, I am very mixed about it. I have never had a bad experience here but I have never had any fantastic ones either. They always have what I need, but the employees are scarce and not too helpful (to be fair, the lady at self scan was great. Wish I knew her name). I'm usually in and out too with whatever I might need which is a plus. Parking isn't bad around the Home Depot itself, but since it is in the way back of the shopping center you need to weigh your options about how you want to enter/leave. You could go out the main way onto West Main Street (Route 113) and deal with all that traffic from Giant and other stores, or you could go the side way past Staples onto Bethlehem Pike or the less crowded East Central Avenue, both of which can get you to where you need to go. All in all its not a completely BAD store, but it is definitely lacking in some areas. read more

Waited over 30 minutes before we were acknowledged in the rental area (even though a man walked in and out multiple times). Went to talk to another employee to see if anyone else was available to help us and he had to go get the same guy that didn't even say a word to us while we waited over 30 minutes. Then the man working in rentals looked at us like we had a problem and said 'let me help this guy first' to the man behind us in line. Tried to hide my surprise but apparently it wasn't well. I then said 'You need more help in here I guess' trying to make light of it. The man then pointed and said 'go tell my manager in the back'. If it were just strictly that they were busy that would be one thing. There was one guy in front of us when we arrive and he left within the first three minutes. Maybe I missed something but never in my life have I had to wait that long before being helped while a man slowly walks back and forth around the rental area. read more

Horrible at fulfilling pickup in store orders!!! Every single recent pickup in store order I've placed has contained the wrong items or is missing items. So any time savings you thought you would get by avoiding searching through the endless isles is immediately lost because you need to keep going back for the right stuff or the crap they just left off the order. Whoever fills the online orders should be fired immediately. They are completely inept to put it as nicely as I can. read more

Never ever again! We purchased a dishwasher and a new stove online. The dishwasher was damaged. Took me literally TWO MONTHS after they received the damaged item back to give me a credit. I think I spoke with 50 different people and they all had the same duh response. No one was able to help at all. Finally someone said oh yeah I see it but you have to go to the store for it. What? Why? I didn't buy it at the store. At this point I was willing to drive to Canada to have this over with. Night after night of being hung up on or met with an I don't care attitude or had no idea what to do to fix the issue. We drove down to the Souderton store and the indignant woman behind the customer service counter kept saying how she was doing me a favor giving me a credit and applying it to my account immediately. One of the Receipt numbers for corporate reference if they even care at all. ---4158-00012-08985 the lady at the customer service counter asked me three or more times for me to do the survey and give her a glowing review. Uhhhh that would be a big no. Change your attitude. We were in the right here. We shouldn't have had to argue for a refund after a damaged item is returned. Nor do we owe you a boatload of gratitude for doing your job. This wasn't a favor it was the correct thing to do immediately! I've waited long enough. Never in a million years would I return! i have been trying to build a house starting before the "pandemic". i should have been done years ago. however it is really hard to build anything when the local building material supplier never has any products. the countless hours and gallons of gas spent driving to the home depot, after spending the time to check the website to make sure what i want is in stock. only to come home empty handed 9.9 out of ten times because they don't actually have any stock. the website is a total lie. the employees always are happy to waste your time pretending that they have what you're looking for, "it must have just been misplaced",or "it's here somewhere, just come back tomorrow". i'm not talking about exotic stuff here, i mean lumber, 2x4, 2x6 etc. the prices are horrendous for the putrid quality, and how many weeks should it take to buy a dozen boards? home depot has been great for one thing, driving all the private lumber mills we used to have out of business. it wasn't that long ago that i could have had good lumber from a number of different locations nearby and the only dispute to be had was arguing about what mill was closer to the job. the home depot catch phrase "how doers get more done" must be a reference to the pennsylvania amish community, because i can custom order lumber, have it milled and pick it up over an hour from home, and it still takes less than half the time then going to the depot in my neighborhood. and even though i foot the bill to transport the products, the price, quality, and selection are all superior to home depot. read more

I had a nice young man help me at the service desk. Then I had a nice lady help me find my bucket tool. I also got help in the cleaning isle. Then when I had trouble finding something else, there was a man standing at the front of the isles who helped me and when I thought I was finished he asked "anything else you need?" which reminded me of my shelf brackets that I forgot to put on the list. Since buying a house I've learned Home Depot has good prices. Unfortunately that is about where my praise ends for them. I would absolutely advise anyone not to purchase major appliances from home depot. When we were buying our house we went here and purchased a fridge, washer, and drying that we were told would be delivered the weekend we were moving into our house. Literally the day before we moved in we got an message telling us our order would be delayed two weeks because two of the items we ordered were not available. After several phone calls and a trip to the store we ultimately canceled our order because even the store manager could not help us out. Ultimately we went through a small Sears store, saved money, and got our appliances in less than a week. Another time we were in there I was looking for a fire pit. I walked over to three staff members and ask if they could point me in the direction of the fire pits. One staff member replied, "Dude, they are out of season. We don't have any". Considering it was June, I was perplexed as to why fire pits were "out of season". So we wondered out of the store and sure enough there were fire pits down by the home and garden section. Needless to say we left without a fire pit. In general the staff at this particular Home Depot has been friendly. My rating is more a reflection of Home Depot in general and the system they have set up as a giant company. read more

Do not buy flooring from here and have it installed by their contractor. I had vinyl plank flooring that I purchased from Home Depot. The flooring itself is OK but the people who installs did a terrible job. There are spots where the floor kept lifting and I called continuously to have them come out and fix it. They verified my license/insurance and I put money down. Then I drove away. The service was great. Just like a rent-a-car you will have to fill it up with gas before you return it. Unfortunately the days of the helpful local hardware man are about over so the choice we have is Lowe's or HD? The answer is: Home Depot, for these 2 reasons: 1. better service. I tried for 20 minutes to try to get someone at Lowe's to help me with granite countertops, and finally the impatient salesperson told me to go press a button and wait "over there". My first visit to this Home Depot and I found the employees to be friendly and approachable. I had been to Lowes 5 (yes, 5) times the day before in a frustrated quest to replace a kitchen faucet and install shut off valves in my older home. The Lowes staff suggested capping the supply lines, which I had already cut, and checking with a supply house on Monday, since they didn't have a shut off valve that fit. At HD, though, Gary in plumbing took the time to help me find a way to work around my non standard sizing. Gary, if you get to read this - thank you SO much for your time and help! I have been going to this location for many years. Honestly this is probably my last visit. I just wanted to pick up deck paint. The person in the department was just so unhelpful and grumpy. I've gotten tons of paint and supplies here and tired of the lack of customer service and willingness to help find something. "I don't know" "I've never seen that before" or a blank stare is not acceptable. Contrary to other reviews though, I have had fairly good experience with on-line order and store pick-up. I have also purchased many appliances here - my last one was a dryer I purchased 6 months ago, the price was alright, but I was charged for new duct work and the installers used the existing duct work. They probably did it last time too! And my biggest pet peeve is that there is no one ever to check people out. I think self-checkout for hardware items is ridiculous and inconvenient. The prices aren't that great - I can get the same items at other stores that probably deserve my business for about the same pricing. read more

1. I bought a snow blower - it was a floor model. It was missing the "snow removal tool" which is a plastic device used for removing clogged snow from the snow blower. I stopped in to see about getting a new one. They said they had more in boxes and would call me, but never did. 2. I ordered a dishwasher. When their crew (in a rented truck because they don't even own their own) showed up (late), they said they could not install it or remove my old one because my old one is hard wired into my home's power. I told the delivery crew to take the dishwasher back since they can't install it, then called for a refund. That was three weeks prior to this writing. Today I found they did not refund the money, so I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. read more

I agree that this HD does not have the best customer service. My fiancee and I were looking at snow blowers and literally had 4 + employees pass us, never asking once if we needed help, which we did. We finally asked one of the employees but of course they didn't know anything and had to ask someone else. No one here seems overly friendly or just ready to help you. I remember standing around looking for something and again, had like 10 employees wiz pass me, never asking if I needed help. This is literally a few blocks away from our house so that is why we go to this one - if not, then I would def. go elsewhere. read more

My advise is to not order any doors from home depot, after waiting a month for them to come in I now find out they were ordered incorrectly from there so called top door expect in there store. Was bullied into excepting a credit which was never issued and did not want, only wanted doors reordered the correct size. Have been back and forth with customer service and store management for weeks now who are rude and make me feel I am annoying them. Recently, I needed to replace my stovetop. I purchased a new one from the Hilltown- Home Depot in Souderton,PA. After making installation arrangements, I ran into a few obstacles. Store employee Melissa Castaldo from the Project Department, offered to provide her assistance and offer suggestions to resolve the problem(s) that I was experiencing . Melissa discovered that I purchased an incorrectly- sized stove. From that point, she assisted me in ordering a replacement stove. When scheduling the installation of the new stove, Melissa maintained daily contact with the installer and my family until the project was finished. I just want people to be aware of Home depo. I went to home depo and bought windows for my house $13,000 it was on a promotion if you open a home depo credit card you get 2 years interests free.my first 24 payments where $150 a month, My 25th payment I received my usual statement but this time the monthly payment was $798.00 a month and the total balance amount went from $11,600 the balance of the loan to $26,000 dollars. I called them and they said the promotion period was over. I had 5 days to pay the $11,600 in full and they would wave the interests rate but after 5 days I was stuck owing them the full $26,000 at payments $798.00 for like the next dozen years. People that is the biggest scam I have no idea how its not criminal. Thank god I have savings and ran over there paid the balance in full before I was locked into owing them $26,00 before the interests kicked in and I closed that home depo card. My review would be don't order any installation products from this store. We special ordered an interior door at the beginning of June. We were told it would be ready by the end of July. We called mid-July, the representative told us it would be ready in a few days. With no calls back, we called back toward the end of July and were told there was some issue with the door. We were still calling in August (since the store provides no updates) when they mentioned that the installation was two months out and would only be schedule when our door arrived. After waiting the entire month of August for an update, we complained. They agreed to put the door installation on the calendar for September even though the door was not delivered yet. By the end of September, the door was delivered and installed. Unfortunately, the door is defective. The privacy glass on the French doors was not installed properly (which we could not see during installation because were told not to remove the plastic film because the door needed to be painted). One section of the plastic fell off, and we noticed it was not the correct glass. That means some of the door panels were the privacy glass (which we paid extra for) and some were not. Still trying to deal with this with the manager who seemed almost annoyed by my phone call. Customer service is horrible. No one returns you're phone calls. Managers are indifferent. Shop somewhere else. read more

As I'm reading these bad reviews of this Home Depot in Souderton, I'm finding them quite hilarious. They're complaining about awful customer service but I really gotta disagree with all of them. I came in here to pickup a paint brush and some blue tape because we were on our way to Calvary Church for a graduation. Upon entering the store, I was asked by numerous employees if I needed help. This is my first time in Souderton, PA and this Home Depot is so much more organized and cleaner than the Home Depot in Glendale, Queens NY. There was no line at the register and self-checkout counters and the parking lot was filled with unattended shopping carts. When you're this bored in the burbs, I guess you gotta find something to complain about to keep yourself entertained. read more

I do almost all of my shopping for hardware, paint, garden tools at this store. I have found all of the associates to be knowledgeable and extremely courteous. I am a veteran and always receive a veterans discount. I am always treated respectfully. I have also ordered major items such as portable generators and had them delivered to the store. Everything always goes smoothly. I was so impressed by the service I received today(the day after black Friday) that I felt I had to write a review, especially after seeing some of the poor reviews here. I stopped at the Souderton Home depot on 1/11/19 on my way home from work to get some paint which I had gotten at another Home Depot 4 months ago. I gave the lady the can with the paint code to match which she did, when the weekend rolled around to paint the baseboard molding with the new paint it was nowhere near the color of the can I gave her.I went back on 1/13/19 and returned the paint, they could care less why I was returning it. I had taken a piece of baseboard molding with me this time that I needed the paint to match, after standing in line for 27 mins I asked the lady ( who was the only one working in the paint dept on a Sunday afternoon) if she could match the paint. She put the trim in the paint scanner and then entered the # in the computer and mixed the paint. The molding I gave her was white, the paint she mixed came out gray, she said "oops that's no good" then she told me that I would have to wait for the other guy who works there that maybe he could put in the right formula, but he wouldn't be back for at least 40 mins because she thought that he was on lunch. I had just wasted and hour and 10 mins. The people there really have no interest in helping you and they really don't care. I'm surprised that they are still in business. I'll spend the extra 10 mins and drive to Lowes. read more

Horrible customer service. Absolutely terrible. Bought some items here on a visa gift card and had to return something. The clerk at the return desk said she had to credit the gift card back. However, when I tried to use the card at the same store on a later date, there was a zero balance. Nobody in the store could help me despite the fact that I had the receipts to prove the card should have been credited. I asked who the manager was and the cashier I dealt with didn't even know his name. How can you work somewhere and not know the manager's name? The staff at the store turned me away because they didn't know what to do. Said they couldn't help me. IT was only $10 or so, but the money was lost to me. The store got their merchandise back and I got screwed. I won't shop there anymore. The staff at Home Depot does not care about the customer. They would rather lose a customer than correct a mistake they made because it's too difficult for them to figure out. I sure do miss the days of the mom & pop hardware store.
