Don't lie to customers! Purchased an appliance which never arrived on delivery date. 4 delivery dates later I was informed by distributor that item was not in stock. Called Home Depot in Stratford for a refund and was told I would have to wait until they received a cancellation from vendor. I called vendor who informed me that this was not true. Tobias was disrespectful, Jim lied and Edgar never returned my call. The names indicated are Home Depot employees I interacted with. They sold me an item that was not available then refused to issue a refund because "They Could Not Override their system " go figure! Definitely fraudulent Practices. read more

Customer service has been a nightmare to work with. My family purchased a new vent hood and dishwasher for the new kitchen. The vent hood never came in and it was canceled. The dishwasher was delivered to the house and sat in the garage untouched until the contractor was ready to install it. When opened, there was a huge dent in the side. Home Depot sent a tech out to fix it. He just laughed and said it couldn't be repaired. Home Depot customer service knew they had previous issues with the vent and said they would help them out. When they returned the dishwasher to the store, they would not take it back and offered to give them a discount on another one. They just left it there and walked out. We've had similar situations with Home Depot and now only shop at Lowe's. read more

After going to 2 different Home Depots finally we found what we were looking for. The young lady who took care of us in the online order/customer service was great. She was helpful and very nice to us. She assured us that our bathroom vanity would be available tomorrow morning. As a matter of fact she even called a helper to pull the box and have it ready for us tomorrow when we will pick up. Her customer service skills were top notch. If we not everyone could be like her. this is an extremely sleazy store with dishonest cashiers and a crooked store manager named Jeffrey Murphy. They intentionally and knowingly mis-price merchandise and then gang up on you at the register and try to make you pay ten times more - literally TEN TIMES MORE than the merchandise is clearly marked. They are a bunch of real scumbags. And numerous times we have gone back into the store to voluntarily pay the extra, after seeing that the cashier missed something in the cart. And we always smile and say something nice to the pathetic Home Depot clerks who one after the other interrogate you with "Can I help you find something?" in the store, just to be nice and courteous to them, make them feel wanted and important. Bunch of dishonest scumbags, especially the two sharp-elbowed cashiers who were in on it, and the crooked manager Jeffrey Murphy who just could not bring himself to honor the clearly marked price on the merchandise. Anytime I go in to my local Home Depot, I find the people to be friendly and helpful. I've been there late on a Friday or Saturday night as well as early on a Saturday or Sunday morning... And of course everything in between. I even had an employee offer to wind the plastic thread for my weed wacker if I brought it in for him. I'm done with Home Depot. I asked for help 3 different times today and they all said they were sending someone over. My boyfriend and I waited for 20 mins in the aisle. We just put everything back and left. I shouldn't have to find 3 different associates for them all to respond with "I'll send someone over." This isn't the first time this has happened at this Home Depot. The customer service needs to be fixed. I never complain about places or employees but that was crazy to me. Instead of paging people to help someone, someone needs to take initiative and find someone or help the person themselves. So as of now, Lowe's is the way to go read more

If I can I would give them 0 stars. Management is terrible the store manager Vanessa is a total bitch to her she rather have her employees break their backs and hurt themselves just to make herself look good as a store manager. The other managers are just as terrible as her I used to work there I found it very racist that I ( Mexican) had to do all the heavy lifting while everyone else had little to no heavy lifting work. Because of them I now I'm have lower back pain and I'm only 19 I would get injured all the time and they still expected me to do heavy lifting even with a cast on my hand after I was injured because they had me Carry heavy building material all on my own with no help. All the managers would talk down to me as if I wasn't an equal human being to them they acted as if just because they're managers they're better than every employee. Don't even get me started on an old manager that used to work there that had many sexual harassment cases against him because he would prey on the young cashiers they wouldn't fire him they would just get rid of the cashiers that were filing the cases against him and then eventually they just transferred him to another Home Depot just to be a manager over there most likely still preying on women in the workplace. This Home Depot is just the worse then eventually they fired me for something I didn't even have anything to do with. I wouldn't recommend shopping here your just supporting a stores management that's racist and think that they're better than everyone. One time they had me outside for over 8 hours just shoveling snow with a couple other guys (also minority's like myself) and they only gave us shovels and wheel barrels to take the snow out meanwhile the only white people that were outside had snow blowers to use for snow. It was so fucked up working there for those people I wouldn't recommend ever applying or shopping here go to another Home Depot or go to lowes. read more

This is one of the nicer Home Depots and it's pretty well maintained. I'm not sure if it's just the fact that I don't work in the electrical/construction world, but I always feel completely lost in them. This one thankfully has a nice staff who's eager to help a woman trying to find whatever it is I'm looking for. The pricing is the same as everywhere else and seasonal stuff is often less. Speaking of, we just went there for soil and planter stuff and came home with some great looking starter broccoli, lettuce, and strawberry plants. We'll see how they hold up, but so far so good and it only cost $7! My only two complaints here are getting in and out of the giant lot that it shares with the Walmart and Shop Rite. For there being only three entities in the lot, it sure garners a huge amount of people at any time of the day. Secondly, the customer service folks who require you now to go through self check out (which is ridiculous at a Home Depot - nothing is easily scanned besides paint brushes maybe) aren't helpful and often end up just sighing when they have to take you over to their podium to ring you out. I wish they'd keep more than one register open because it seems pretty silly to go about it this way despite it being easier to staff and therefore less money out of pocket. read more

She gave great advice on going about some house fixer upping and the products that would accomplish the tasks (even with the exact aisles and specific locations for the items). We ordered a dryer on 1/10/21 was told that it would be here on 1/18, I thought that was a while to wait but said ok. Called on the 18 to see when it was going to be delivered and was told Feb 2nd! That's almost a month ! They should be more honest with their customers, If I knew I would have to wait almost a month would have went somewhere else!! This is a decent Home Depot location. It is conveniently located right off if exit 33 on Interstate 95 north (note there is no exit 33 on I95 south. There is a huge parking area do you will have no problem finding a space for your automobile. The garden section is large with a good variety of plants and landscaping products. Finally, there are four self check out stations which is a big plus! read more

I usually have great customer service from the cashiers here at home depot. I sometimes wonder if the managers are paying attention to those in their department, especially those that are downright rude to customers. If you're shopping for a bathroom sink or a surround for the tub wall, be careful. The bathroom sinks off the shelf are very poor quality. If you drop anything in the sink, it cracks. The surround has a defect and didn't notice until it was installed. ANY product you buy from this company, make sure you check it out. Most of their merchandise is of poor quality. Unless you don't mind replacing household items frequently, don't go here. Chose a place that you know will last a long time. read more

Do NOT use Home Depot for your kitchen counters - we place our order on April 11th and we will be lucky if they are installed by the end of June! That is completely unacceptable as we were given a 5 to 10 day window after the template and they are now going 3 weeks beyond the 10th day! Please do yourself a favor and shop around- they use Stoneworks a par of Unico in NY and ultimately they can't/won't do anything to expedite your order. Very disappointed with Home Depot Customer Service. We purchased a dishwasher during the Memorial Day sale and was advised by a Home Depot employee that if we opened a charge we would save $25.00 toward purchase, so we complied. Upon receiving our statement the discount was not taken. On 06/3/19 I called Customer Service and spoke with Casey who assured us that the discount would drop off during the next billing cycle. I explained I did not want to carry a balance so he advised us to pay the entire amount minus the $25.00 which I did. When I called today, 6/15/19 to check on account the $25.00 was still not applied. After speaking with Logan and getting nowhere I asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was connected to Samantha and she proceeded to explain to me that since we bought during a sale we were not eligible for the $25.00 promotion. I advised Samantha that the $25.00 discount was offered to us during the purchase if we opened a credit card. Samantha was not at all interested in what we were offered and kept repeating that we were not eligible. This is not only fraudulent on Home Depot's part to offer something and then not honor it but when I advised Samantha to cancel our account her only response was that if we cancel we will not be eligible to open one in the future.
