This store rocks!! We had at least 5 people approach us if we needed assistance ( which we did) and found all items needed. Their selection was amazing for paints and thank you to Keith who came by to explain what paint cans meant what for outdoor use . I was touch up painting my mom's white mailbox pole which had turned darker due to wear and a white step ladder that had rusted . Both came out perfect and looked almost new! Worst customer service ever. I did home delivery and my product was delivered to someone else. No refund processed because they need me to come to the store to process my refund that I ordered online. The manager never called and tried to reach out to me about this. Very poor customer service. Since this review on July 3 I have received my refund by going to the store. The manager and young man at customer service this morning were wonderful in getting my refund. That being said I will not ever order from Home Depot online again because if have to the store for my refund and not get the product I ordered that defeats the whole purpose of buying online. read more

I ordered a barbaque grill to be delivered and the clerk in Customer Service entered the wrong delivery address. I waited for two hours to have them figure out how to make the change. (Went thru Supervisor and then Manager who could not figure out how to make the necessary change.) So was told they would speak with Delivery Personal, to advise them of the necessary change in address and that delivery would be made today. I wish I'd seen the Yelp reviews before shopping at this store. Definitely the worst experience I've had with Home Depot Moved to Tallahassee. Purchased brand new washer dryer. Took 2 weeks to deliver. The delivery itself was smooth. But the dryer did not start. The delivery guys said they would put in a ticket and that someone from Home Depot would call me. That was Saturday. Then Sunday - no phone call from HD Monday - no phone call Tuesday - no phone call. Good luck trying to find someone to help you. It's incredibly difficult. Tuesday, I went by the store...but hard to find anyone to help and felt like I kept getting passed around without any action taken to remedy the faulty dryer. I ended up phone calling the store from within the store. Yes, it's that bad. Employee that answered, took my phone number and said the manager had just left for lunch (around 2pm), and would call me back once she got back. No Phone call at all. Then, trying to the remedy the situation online with Home Depot's customer service, well, they are saying the 48hr return window is closed. WTF? If you can track one down it's always "that's not my department" or "the person you want is at lunch" or "come back tomorrow first thing in the morning, there may be someone here who can help". I visited this Home Depot location as I was looking for holiday decor for inside and outside of my home. The store is well-organized and kept clean. The staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions you may have. The holiday section is done nicely. It is easy to shop and locate items. I was able to find many items I needed and ones I just had to have after seeing them. The garden section was also nice. I found plants and decor to really get into the season and make my lawn look great. I will definitely be back at this location. read more

Tallahassee Home Depot has the WORST customer service. I needed some landscaping stone and as I was making an online purchase, I was offered $100 off if I applied for their credit card. That was my 1st mistake. I applied for the credit card, and somehow there was an issue with $100 coupon. I was informed by customer service to put the order through without the coupon and call back after the July 4th holiday, and they will adjust my bill to the original price. unfortunately it's 3 months later and I'm still disputing the difference. Their online dispute center is as good as their customer service! in the interim, I have cancelled Home Depot credit card and now go to LOWES. read more

The north east Home Depot store is the worst. If I can help it, I will not step another fit in that store. Let me make it clear, the north west Tallahassee store is fabulous. They do customer service right. All the basic customer service stuff like acknowledge that you're there, provide clear concise communication and responsive. However, the north east Tallahassee store is completely opposite. There is a customer service rep. She has brown braids with blond ends. I don't know if she was having a bad day that day or what was going on. There were several people in line and she consistently was rude to everyone of us. Her communication style was to cut off the customers communication before she got all the facts. Then., When you provide the additional information she needs she gets an attitude and I had the gall to actually apologize to her. I did the apology just in case my tone was not right. I don't mind saying I'm wrong when I'm wrong. Well I couldn't see the machine because I had a patch on my eye. But I have been damaged for some glass and the patch was new. I was still trying to get used to it so I asked for help in swiping my card with the tone she took was awful it was: !!! ma'am, you did not ask for my help!!!!! if you had, I would've helped you!!!! of course I immediately apologized. I thought perhaps my frustration with not being able to see and not being able to do anything myself came out wrong. I explained to her after I apologized that I had just got an eyepatch & getting used to it. her response to me was ma'am I have a disability and she has a disability and that is no excuse. I'm wondering excuse for what? Was she saying I had a tone? And basically she refused my apology. I don't even know that I did anything wrong. I apologize out of abundance to make sure that everything went smooth after that. But she didn't. worst experience ever! I bought appliances in Dec 2020 the delivery took two weeks longer than I was told. When they hooked up the ice maker is wasn't tightened and leaked and flooded my kitchen and carpet. One week ago I picked up a day bed there was no hardware (nuts and bolts) included. I was just told that wasn't there fault hardware is not included and is not available. How can I put the bed together without hardware. When I called they acted like it wasn't there concern. Good selection, was able to get all the supplies I need before and after the storm. Solutions found at Home Depot made me able to keep lights up and running so even with out power 28 hours inside our house remained enjoyable. Right after the storm we where get the needed items for repairs post storm. They where open even with the whole neighborhood without power providing the thing's we need to continue on with life post storm. Clean and organized and staffed good. Only downfall is sometimes there is not enough cashier or self-service registers open. read more

I was given 15 hour window for delivery of a grill that i purchased. I was told i had to pay more in order to tighten the delivery window. In an environment where people need to work their jobs, I find it unacceptable to force people to either pay more money to have a smaller delivery window (small as in less than 15 hours which shouldn't be unreasonable) or be forced to take off from work all day. read more

This review is in reference to an online experienc-not this store. Dealing with Home Depot has been a nightmare. I ordered a dishwasher mid November '23. It was delivered a week later, Nov. 24th, and deemed 'defective' by the installers. A chunk was taken out of the bottom and there were small dings in it. A new one was immediately ordered and a date of Dec. 7 was given. On that date a Home Depot guy showed up saying he was told to take away the defective washer, but he didn't have the replacement. He said, "someone will call in 24 hours to let you know about the replacement". He unhooked the defective machine, which left me with no hot water at the sink, and left. I called customer service and got a replacement date of Dec. 9, I waited most of the day and they never showed up. They didn't even have the decency to let me know. After being on the phone with customer service for over an hour I decided to cancel the order and request a refund. I was told the defective machine would be picked up Dec. 13. On that date, Home Depot called saying they were on the way to install my new dishwasher. Clearly they didn't get the message the order had been canceled. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. I will never order another big item from them again. Avoid at all cost. read more

Stay away from installing with Home Depot in Tallahassee! The store itself did OK, however once it was handed over to the installer my experience was a nightmare. I was contacted by the installer the day after my purchase and after that I had to call to get any information. One week passed, two weeks passed and after the third week the installer stopped taking my phone calls. I know this because I called the store and they were able to get in touch with him within 5 minutes. I finally had to get the manager involved after a month and they still would not give me an install date. We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer from the Home Depot store on Capital Circle. The model we wanted was out of stock, we placed the order and paid for installation and all materials for installation to be completed at time of delivery. A month later we received a call from the delivery company stating that they would just do a drop off and we would be responsible to contact the store and install ourselves. My husband refused the shipment as it was not what we paid for. My husband immediately went to the store and the manager would not speak with him, a store associate was sent to make copies of receipt and my husband was told that the manager would find out the problem and would let us know the next day. No one was willing to assist him while at the store, very poor customer service. When my husband arrived home and mentioned what had taken place, I called the store and spoke with one of the managers on duty and the manager said they were having several problems with the third-party company they use, but he would look into the matter and give us a call the next day. Twenty four hours later still no contact from anyone at Home Depot. Once again I called the store and the manager said he was handling the situation with the third party company, but he was not aware of our situation... obviously there is no communication within management at this store. No regard or concern about the customer. BAD Business!!!! We are at the point where we just want a credit for the purchase and buy our appliances somewhere else.... read more

After being sent back and forth between customer service and the door department I asked for a refund but only if I received a refund by check since I had originally purchased by Home Depot card and paid it off already in cash. After being assurred by customer service that I would receive a check I instead received a credit on my home depot card. At the time of this post I have also only received a half payment/refund back to my home depot card which Im told is their normal procedure. The Home Depot at 3200 Capital Circle in Tallahassee, FL... Worst fucking place EVER!!!! The ONLY reason I gave 1 star is because 0 isn't an option! Ordered some roofing metal from these dumb fucks back in August. The order I placed was for tin, drip edge, ridge caps, 1x4s, and foam boards. They didn't get a single thing right on the order! The tin was suppose to be 3ft. wide 15ft. long classic 5 rib. It turned out to be 2ft. wide V ribs. All the other supplies were shorted on quantities and I had to keep making trips back to get it. Because they fucked up my order I had to order more of the V shaped tin because I couldn't get a refund on it since it was a "Special Order". I placed another order for more tin on November 11th and was told it would be ready for pickup on Dec. 9th. Well here it is AFTER the 9th and there ain't 2 people there who can agree on a damn thing. One lady told me the order number didn't exist, the guy yesterday told me that it was expected to be there before the close of business yesterday and the lady today said it hadn't even been shipped out yet. I can tell ya this much... I bet won't buy another damn thing from Home Depot! I switched from Lowes to HD years ago because of shitty service but come to think of it, it wasn't that bad. This Home Depot is okay; the employees seem friendly and always offer to help me, but the shelves aren't always stocked with what I need, which can be frustrating. For example, cardboard boxes - I can never find medium sized boxes. Went to Home Depot to get help with a screen enclosure I wanted to build. Saw a system on their website. Went to the door/window department on Capital Circle. Saw some supplies but needed to talk to someone. The one person there was entertaining his self with the computer and a customer. I patiently waited......????? for an hour!!!!! Worst experience EVER!!! Buyers beware!!! We spent over six thousand dollars in gas appliances and granite just to be treated like trash when we called Home Depot to let them know that the City of Tallahassee, red-tagged our gas oven! The guy that came out from the City's 24-hour-emergency-hotline, told us he had never seen such a high reading on his tool that reads gas leaks ever! I responded to the city worker ( what a headache) he responded "not just a headache sir, but your family's health and lives were in danger!" Well, the four managers we have been passed to, back and forth sure didn't have the same reaction as the City worker, they were more concerned about having to replace the gas range! After hours and hours of pushback, fighting tooth and nail to get a replacement ( two weeks without a range!!! ) We finally got our new range delivered! Oh, not to mention we had to pay a plumber to come and unhook the old one and then come back and connect the new one. Home Depot refused to pay for either one! They were the ones that sold us the broken range so refusing to pay the plumbing fee was another slap in the face. We got new range just to find out it had issues too! The next round was even more pushback and dealing with uncaring management. They recommend refunding our money, that's what we wanted in the beginning. Now we are going on another week without a stove and after spending more hours getting the run around, we still haven't received our money to go somewhere else to buy a stove. In all we have spent over 10 hours on the phone and in our local store trying to resolve this and will have gone four weeks without a stove or oven. Home Depot offered to give us a 50 dollar Home Depot card ! That's a joke and a spit in our faces!!! We have had to pay plumbers-fees, three times and spend money eating out for multiple weeks for our family's meals and they want to make things right with a 50 dollar gift card? The store is fine, but over the phone the employees are very rude and do not want to help. I spoke to one person that told me in a rude voice that I should call back and ask for the book keeper. When I called back, he sharply told me I called back too soon. I waited at least an hour and called back again and the book keeper picked up the phone with an attitude (as though she'd been warned I was looking for her). She dismissed me and refused to help me over the phone although I explained I'm no longer located in Tallahassee.
