I went into Home Depot last Saturday to buy a lightbulb (yeah, super exciting life), but what I got was a comedy show starring Jean Paul, the electrician. Let me set the scene: I'm wandering the electrical aisle when I hear a voice behind me. It's Jean Paul. The man walks up to me like he's the electrician version of a superhero. His tool belt is so packed, I thought he was smuggling snacks in there. He looks at my confused expression as I stare at the lightbulb aisle like it's a maze, and he says, "Need a hand with something, buddy?" I tell him I'm just here to get a bulb. He nods seriously and says, "You sure you're just here for a bulb? 'Cause you look like a man who's about to have a full electrical experience." I'm like, "Uh, I just need a 60-watt...?" Suddenly, Jean Paul leans in and pulls out a whole bag of tools. I mean, this man had things I didn't even know existed--tiny pliers, electrical tape, wire cutters--and then, the moment happens. He starts talking about wiring, but I swear it's like I was in a horror movie. All I hear is "blinking lights," "voltage," "screws," and then--fart. A long, deep one. Not a little "oops" fart, but a full-blown whooosh. Jean Paul doesn't even flinch. He just keeps talking, and the next thing I know, I feel a rumble in my own stomach. The pressure is rising. I'm sweating. I've been laughing too hard, and then--BAM--the unmistakable sound of me unintentionally pooping my pants. Jean Paul? Still talking about circuit breakers like it's the most normal thing in the world. But the fun doesn't stop there. In the middle of my now incredibly awkward situation, I feel the unmistakable need to pee. But Jean Paul is in the zone, going on and on about how to wire a light switch, so I try to casually shuffle away, but it's too late--I'm peeing my pants now. I'm standing there, halfway in shock, halfway in laughter, and my pants are just... wet. Jean Paul looks at me, pauses mid-sentence, and goes, "I've been there, man. You're gonna want to get those replaced. Just make sure to get the right wattage next time." At this point, I'm dying laughing. I have no idea if I'm crying or laughing harder, but Jean Paul? He just pats me on the back like we just went through a spiritual experience together. I can't even look at him without cracking up, and to be honest, I don't even care that I'm now standing in a puddle of my own making. 10/10 would recommend Jean Paul. If you need an electrician who can teach you about circuits, hold your hand through the embarrassing moments of life, and still manage to fart without breaking character, Jean Paul is your guy. The reason for this review is that I was very surprised to see in the paint department at this particular location was some YN homeboy wearing a Shystie. And for those who don't know what I'm saying is a young thug, looking kid with a black hoodie, the hood up and face covering up, showing only his his eyes. And I don't mean like a Muslim. This guy looked like he was ready to rob somebody the most unprofessional appearance I've ever seen any employee anywhere ever. Absolutely unprofessional and unapproachable. I don't know why this place has so many negative reviews. The staff was top notch. I went across the street to their competitor and let me tell you, it's night and day. The attitudes at the "other store" were troubling. Everyone at this store was incredibly cool. I had some gardening questions and the night manager was working and took the time to explain the different fertilizers and lawn treatments. Also had to purchase some cleaners and other misc stuff and everyone was super helpful. Special shout out to the painting dept. I don't remember the gentleman's name (he's a professional painter by day and works there at night) but he was amazing at figuring out the paints we need and duplicated the colors top notch from other competitors color combinations. I try to avoid home improvement stores on weekends because they are usually crowded and stock runs low on items I want. Today was the opposite. I easily found a parking spot, was warmly greeted by a few different Home Depot employees, and navigated through the store with plenty of room to spare. I easily found the things I was looking for and had a choice of different products of the same type. The holiday merchandise was on full display. It was great to see the wide variety of everything in stock from lumber to lights, and plants to power cords. The safety protocols were in place with employees and customers wearing masks and keeping their distance. The employees were kind and available to help if needed. The paint department employee was friendly, efficient, and funny! It was a pleasure interacting with her. read more

NIGHTMARE! DO NOT EVER ORDER YOUR COUNTERTOPS THROUGH THIS BRANCH OR THE HOME DEPOT SERVICE. There is ZERO CHANCE I would ever do any business again with this branch. I have had the most awful experience ordering countertops from them. (THEY HAVE HAD ALL OF MY MONEY, OVER $3,000 FOR 3 MONTHS). They promised 4-6 weeks. We ordered from Home Depot. Home Depot hired a local company Distinctive Surfaces. The organization and communication of this process is a nightmare. I've had to speak with 5 different people regarding our order. No one takes any ownership and both companies point fingers at each other for problems... THEY STILL HAVE NOT OFFERED ANY DISCOUNT OR REFUND FOR BEING 2 MONTHS LATE and I want to know at what point we need to take legal action. My tenants are living with a countertop left over from a rehab which is awful. Home Depot's store manager, Andrew George, pretended to take this into his hands for all of two days and now of course I'm getting called a month later from someone else in the store and separate calls from my 3rd contact at Distinctive Surfaces. The customer service desk is very helpful. This place has just about everything. When you need paint, wait until the Labor Day sale (there is another sale during the year on paint)... And there's plants (they often die) and gardening supplies... I've purchased tile (here's a pro-tip: take it with you when you purchase to avoid them putting it up waiting for you to return unless you want to lose some of it from breaking when they lift and retrieve in the back). Paint brushes, keys, lighting, fans... All things I've purchased here, among other things. This particular store, for the most part, has helpful staff on the floor. The self service check out lines are AWESOME and when you have a question or need help, they are right on it! This store is clean and I don't think they have ever NOT had what I came in for...except for a lambs wool paint roller (for heavy texture). They've had the solid rectangular lambs wool applicator - but not in a roller. Also, they have a horrible selection of gallon sprayers. The quality is sub par. But all in all, I prefer them over Lowe's...even though I really want to like Lowe's better. And, I just recently signed up for their CC, got a $25 off immediate discount! read more

While I usually like Home Depot, this location is less than helpful. The store is poorly arranged and it is very difficult to find what you are looking for. Additionally they don't seem to have many items or options as other stores I've been to. The staff seems very nice but there are many around but not enough that are educated on items, as an example there was no employees available in plumbing and no one knew anything about the limited selection of water softeners they had. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Bought a dishwasher from this store and payed to have it delivered as well. It came in a pristine box and when I opened it the right hand corner was dented as if it had fallen off of a truck (see pictures below). When I went back to get a replacement I was told that they wouldn't take it back and claimed no responsibility. They blamed Samsung even though it came from their distribution center. This all happened within the week after delivery. I am now out $750 and I have an unusable dishwasher in the middle of my Kitchen. ****The Store**** I like this Home Depot (HD). The managers at this store are wonderful, and most of the staff are on point. I would give this store 3.5 stars if I could because of the bad experience I had when I purchased my washer and dryer. Additionally, I've had one interaction with an associate that was subpar, but maybe she was having a bad day. Other than that, the store's stock is ordinarily decent despite it being a busy location. Parking is ok, but the stalls are short, making parking a more extended truck more difficult. ****Washer and Dryer purchase experience**** I bought a washer and dryer a little while ago, and the experience itself would've caused me to give the store a 1-star rating; luckily, the store manager, assistant store manager, and sales associate helped make it right. I found out that HD contracts its inventory to a third-party company that supplies the actual unit(s). This HD's third party supplier is Ralph's Appliances. - Bottom Line: this means you're not genuinely buying your appliance from HD; they're simply the middle man. Don't expect to talk out with your appliance unless you intend to purchase the floor model. - 1st delivery attempt: the delivery agents from Ralph's were late by 20mins. After the W/D was set up, the dryer wouldn't function properly. Delivery agents took the defective unit back. I had to wait one week until Ralph's could deliver a new unit. - 2nd delivery attempt: I received a delivery confirmation phone call from Ralph's 24hrs prior; everything was set for a 7 am delivery the next day. On the morning of delivery, I received a phone call at 6:59 am from Ralph's stating they'll be unable to deliver because of damage to the unit. The next available delivery date wasn't for two and a half more weeks! I called and spoke with HD, and initially, the store employee who answered the phone told me that a loaner dryer was unavailable. Luckily, I got in touch with the store manager Lisa who arranged a loaner for me that was brand new. - 3rd delivery: I received the dryer on time and no issues! I was excited to receive the unit because it took nearly a month. Lisa and the assistant store manager, James, were excellent and turned this negative experience around from HD. It's a shame that HD contracts their inventory out, but they're not the only company that does it; Lowe's does too. read more

I have spent thousands of dollars at this particular store and I'm done. The customer service is absolutely nonexistent. You can get better and faster information just looking it up yourself online. I stopped by today to spend about $500 on a new cordless table saw, but over an hour and a half later, still not having been helped, I left in disgust. I was in my military uniform, so I'm pretty sure I got more attention than most people do. As I was leaving the area where the two kids they sent to come not help me were ignorantly trying to show me table saw stands from brands that would not fit on any other brand's saw, I saw the Store Manager actually show up. I miss the days when Home Depot came to town and hired every expert they could get their hands on. Now they just need to install self checkout machines, as the staff is useless. read more

I love this Home Depot. It's smaller than some but this makes it easier to navigate. I've never had a problem finding what I need due its more petite stature. Unlike some of its brethren, you can always find a friendly team member to help you. This is fabulous because it's inevitable that you are going to need help finding that 8mm metric bolt that you lost from the TV mount package. Returns are also easy here. As a recent new home owner, I've practically been living at home improvement stores and naturally this leads to the necessary returns of purchases that just don't quite work out. You can have your recipe emailed to you or they can look up your purchase on your credit card. Both options make returns a breeze. I highly recommend this Home Depot location for all of your home improvement needs. read more

I can't say enough about this particular Home Depot. Walking in alone and attempting to construct a bench I found on Pinterest was all be it, asinine. From the moment I walked in I found all of the employees attentive and helped to plan and recreate the perfect outdoor seating for me. They took my original design and helped me take it to another immaculate level. I couldnt have stacked a dozen cinderblocks and 2x4's in my SUV without the friendly help from Jonas and Dave. I've never had a bad experience but today was above and beyond. My vision turned into reality with there help. It turned out to be so much more than I'd hoped for. read more

I think there is zero qualifications for being hired at this Home Depot. I saw online that they had a "Wet/Dry Vacuum" in stock for rental. I went to rent one; the person working told me "oh we don't have anything like that here." I showed him the page I had open on my phone where there were two listed. He then got it for me and I rented it for 4 hours. I took it home and when I went to start vacuuming up the powder, it came barreling out the sides (obviously not supposed to happen.) I called them and the manager of rentals goes, "oh ya that's only a wet vacuum." I go, "But on the website it says can vacuum up dry or wet and the tag on it says that too." He says, "Well we ran out of dry filters, so bring it back and we'll give you a correct one." Never did they once say sorry during this process. I went all the way back (after making a giant mess over my apartment) and everyone in the rental department acted like they had an IQ of 2. I told them the situation and what I needed and 4 people stood around the computer for 10+ minutes (needing help to spell the word "filter") until they decided they didn't have anything that would work for my project. I then ended up having to buy a hvac with help from the only helpful person there (the store manager) Randy. I called customer service today since it's been 4 days and I haven't received my refund for my rental and the customer service representative had attitude. He said "we'll have you asked the store manager if it was refunded." I asked to be transferred to the store and he again gave me attitude. Once the store answered they literally just said "hellooo" and I had to ask if this was Home Depot because of how unprofessional she was being. She was not helpful and just told me to check with my bank. I will NEVER go to this Home Depot again. Lesson learned. read more

I enjoy this Home Depot. The staff is friendly amd I love the garden section. Lots of good stuff here for your yard. The way that they store is set up is definitely different from most, but once you get your bearings, it's all good. These guys were great helping with the hurricane. The management recognized that the community needed help and did the best they could. I got my plywood here for my windows. I had an issue with my bathroom door, and one of the leads totally hooked us up with the right equipment and knowledge to fix it Amazing service. read more

They had it loaded on a fork lift and we talked them into putting right into our truck. Disgrace. I waited almost two weeks for a new washer and dryer. On delivery day it was damaged. I called to report it and was told I'd have to wait two days to reschedule with LG. I called back, hearing nothing, oh it wasn't reported you have to wait another 24-48 hours to reschedule. No I don't. I cancelled it for a refund and placed an order with Lowes. I work in healthcare during a pandemic, I need to wash my clothes. They did nothing to make it right. They did not care in the last. I wasn't rude or irate, which would explain the apathy. I was pretty shocked when I went to this Home Depot. Usually I'm not a fan of any big box retailer but this store felt more intimate, organized and clean. The layout of the store is pretty unique too, it's not your typical row after row. The main lane goes diagonal from the front to the back. The staff is helpful and friendly too. It loses a star because the parking lot has a funky layout. I feel that even if it's not that busy, I can't pull right up to the store to run in and run out. In no way this is a deal breaker... As 30yr HD Veteran, I know what customer service is. There isn't any in this store. I visited at least 4 times during my stay in Tampa and the only hello I got was from the greeter at the door, no one offered to help or help me find anything. Beware! Do not purchase carpet from Home Depot. They claim to guarantee 5 to 7 day installation. However, this is not the case. I purchased a certain carpet based on the sales persons recommendation that it would would be installed 5 days after purchase but they are not holding up their end of the bargain. The flooring specialist, RAF Santos, that sold me the carpet with a 5 day guarantee, told to read the fine print and that I was one of the unlucky few that didn't get what they paid for. I will never shop with Home Depot again. When I purchased carpet a few years ago I went through Lowe's and had no trouble at all. My carpet was installed 4 days after I purchased it. Home Depot has terrible customer service and does not stand by the guarantee. read more

I resent being harassed by third-party vendors as soon as I enter the store. They never take "no" for an answer. Last time I visited the store a vendor for an air-conditioning service company got in my face to ask me if I had AC. This was the same guy whom I had in several past visits told to not bother me. He went away to pounce on another customer who was looking for a Home Depot employee for help with something. Then 5 minutes later he hits on me again, at the same place he had earlier! And then another third-party vendor hits on me about Tesla roof tiles. I complained to someone who claimed to be a store manager. He said he was sorry, but refused to assure me it would not happen again. As I was checking out, the cashier confirmed by suspicion that the harassers were indeed third-party vendors. I had the same problem at the local Sam's Club (now closed) with Direct TV stalkers. The real store manager told me the stalkers did not work for Sam's Club, but were third-party vendors. He also told me that numerous customers had complained, but corporate HQ refused to let him reign them in. Obviously the same practice is going on at Home Depot. I'm tempted to call on my memories of the pro wrestling managers of old and unleash a torrent of abuse and profanity on these stalkers. Perhaps then they'll remember me and lay off the next time I visit. I only use Home Depot because my American Express card has them as a rewards partner. Once I use my reward points and cancel the card (I have a 2% cash back on all purchases card from Fidelity) I will go to Lowe's. So far Lowe's lets you shop in peace. read more

The service was good when it came to taking my money for a new washer and dryer but after that it was downhill from there. The delivery company they go through damaged my washer and then I rescheduled for another delivery. They came back a week later and apparently they had lost my dryer in the process and brought two washers. I have never dealt with such poor service in my life. Home Depot was very little help and wanted to continue wasting my time in this whole process. Being in the military and having so much of my time wasted because of this has been very disappointing and I will never go through Home Depot again for any products. read more
