DO NOT BUY PAINT HERE!!! Apparently it's a VERY COMMON problem that when you grab a paint chip and order a sample, paint your wall, like the sample, come back to order paint the paint chip code and their codes DON'T MATCH UP! I ended up with an awful flamingo peach color when it was suppose to be Basic Khaki. Not Basic Khaki peach but Basic Khaki green. They have 3 different colors with the same name. Rather than give me the correct paint they are insisting on retinting the 10 gallons I already bought. I need 25! I WILL NEVER BUY PAINT HERE AGAIN!!! The manager and worker are all blaming me for the misunderstanding. How can it be MY fault when THEIR codes don't match up AND I had no idea there were 3 different colors with the same name. This place is a disaster and the sole reason an Ace Hardward had the audacity to open up down the street- this place blows. Heck, compare it to the Home Depot and Murrieta and it blows against them! We ordered carpet and was never told the installers were "booked" and "back loaded"...that isn't my problem. Now I have to hold up a furniture order. How long did it take? Carpet came in a week after ordered...their "low bid installer" needs two weeks,,,and, oh yes- it's one room. Next time, have the professionalism to tell us up front so I can buy carpet from the gazillion other carpet companies out there. By the way...you can always tell when their "employee surveys" suck....they think by making some poor employee be the "GREETER" is going to help.... My first review of this location but not my first experience here. Some have been good, some not. Today it was a "not" good visit. Let me start off by saying that when I've dealt with most associates who know their stuff they really help me find the right stuff whether it be in electrical, plumbing, etc. Today I went in for a screen door that I had seen on the Home Depot website. For some reason it can't be ordered through the site so I came into the store in person. I gave the guy in the door dept. the SKU from the website so he could find it easily. He went to the HD website and said there are no doors like the one I want within 100 miles. Duh, this is what I already know and why I came in; to order one. So then he says it's $99. I asked why it costs $20 more than the price online? He didn't have any explanation. This is when I walked out. To me, this kind of stuff is exactly why big box retailers are losing business. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. I've had problems with items online showing as being in stock in my local store (in plentiful quantities) only to drive in and there are none of the parts I need. This has happened to me more than once. As much as it pains me to leave a 2-star rating I feel like they earned it this time and I went to another source for my screen door. What Home Depot needs to understand is that if they don't fix the problems customers are talking about, they will end up like "Builders Emporium." read more

Two weeks later, after our repeated request to set an installation date, we were told there would be an additional $300 charge for a mistake that Home Depot had made. Out of all the hardware or DIY stores in Temecula, Home Depot employees are most friendly and helpful. On average, you'll be asked if you need help by at least one employee for every 10 minutes that you're in the store. Most other Home Depot locations, employees will avoid eye contact and/or turn around to look busy. Not here! Love the helpful team! read more

Home Depot...mmm. They had their Black Friday in July Sale with 40% off of appliances. With that being said, I decided to upgrade our refrigerator, wall oven and over the range microwave with paid installations. In their add, for GE appliances was a guarantee to fit warranty. Before going to Home Depot, my husband took pictures of the opening spaces for height, width and length showcasing the tape measure in every measurement. We purchased over $4400 in appliances. Due to Home Depot scheduling we had to wait a little over a week to have appliances delivered. The day it arrived, the Home Depot contractor said that the oven was too small and we needed the next size oven for the cutout and the one delivered needed to be returned. The contractor for Home Depot measured the opening and had the exact measurements as we did. Today, a day after everything was returned we went to Home Depot to resolve the oven issue and order a replacement. My husband and I both informed customer service and the appliance associate Jon that we wanted to make sure we got the same sale pricing as the error was not of our doing when ordering and in their advertisement they guaranteed the fit. Brad, the assistant manager that was called to help us with pricing began to give us the run around. He went on to say that we can add molding around the smaller oven that was originally purchased and or pay someone to come out to professionally measure it. Even though the contractor and husband came out with the exact measurements. The entire time speaking with Brad he made it clear that he could not offer us the same discount as we originally received for the sale which was 40% off but would give us 20% instead even though the GE advertisement guaranteed the fit and both ovens were the exact same original price!! This was a pretty bad experience with the manager's attitude towards the situation and not taking care of a loyal customer. This really made me ponder if both my husband and I's race was an issue. read more

Five stars to patrick for saving my mom and I twice. Both times we have been to the store we have received amazing customer service along with helpful information. The first time I was at Home Depot with my mom we were building a crate coffee table I found on Pinterest. We needed a drill in order to complete the project. Patrick walked us through the best drill for our money. He even gave us a discount because they were out of the drill he really wanted us to get. The second time we were there I was looking for lamps for my new apartment. He helped us find the best pricing for the lamps and told ha which ones would give off the most light. I used to think that the customer service at HD was better than Lowe's. Not so. Today the check out line was one line, the entire width of the store, up to the return section. I don't know how many people were in line. There must have been at least 35 to 40... I'm not exaggerating. There were 5 employees in the return section. 1 employee was helping a customer with a return and the other four were busy doing absolutely nothing! How is it the the manager of this store could be ok with a line that long and 4 employee picking their noses? I don't get it. I bought a floor model refrigerator. It is defective they didn't test it before selling it. I had to rent a uhaul to pick it up and now might have to rent it again to return. I've been bounced around to several different numbers. And no one is helping. The actual experience of buying the fridge was also bad. First of all the clerk and I spent 40 mins removing the stickers from th front door. Then when I checked out I asked for some help. After waiting 10 mins (no that's not an exaggeration) some young guy came back and want sure how to move the fridge. Some of the night stickers suggested a pallet jack and they helped put it on the Jack. But when I went to get the uhaul only the young guy was there with the pallet jack. Completely clueless he says the Jack won't makeit up the rack. I had my own dolly on the truck so I pulled it in. Then he asked if I want some twine. I said yes then he looked lost and said do you want me to go get it is over there. So I just went and got it myself. There other people just standing around talking even the assistant manager Abel was there when I asked for help. But no one came. Thanks for selling me a bad product and making me go through over the hours of phone calls and as of now I got another number to call. read more

Home Depot, where doers get used. I purchased a portable air conditioner for my son and waited a day until they notified me it was ready for pick-up. When I arrived at the Temecula Valley store, I handed a receipt to the clerk and she told me to wait while she pulled the item from the storage shelves by customer service. She returned with a flat cart and the air conditioner mounted on it. It wasn't in a box, it was missing all of the accessories and it was scuffed up as if it had been used. I told the clerk that this wasn't a new unit and that I had paid full price for a brand new air conditioner. She then called someone on her cell phone who passed us on his way to where the air conditioners were. He told her that they had no other units, and she offered me $50 off this one. Again I repeated that I ordered a new unit, and without the accessories, this unit wouldn't work. At that time she offered me a refund. I decided to take my money and go looking somewhere where good customer service exists. Thank goodness for Amazon. Home Depot used to represent good service but it has descended into a mediocrity. Home Depot has pretty good prices and we recently used their cabinet installation service. We actually had our cabinets refaced with new doors and drawers installed. Their pricing was reasonable and the sales staff was flexible with our needs. The installation went off without a hitch and I'm very happy with the result. Yesterday my husband and I went and purchased a few pieces of lumber from the 70% off cart. Our total came to $88 and that seemed steep to me but when I asked the cashier if the included the discount she said yes. So we paid and left. A few hours later my husband and I were talking about the wood and when I told him how much we paid he was super upset and knew there was a mistake. He grabbed the receipt and there was no visible discounts. So we drove back to the store to talk to an associate about the issue. When we approached the customer service counter we were helped by an AWESOME employee named MARA!! She acknowledged there had been NO discounts applied and quickly resolved the solution and was very apologetic, professional, and nice! Home Depot has gone down hill!!!The staff is basically all new every time I go, every register is now self check out, the staff has attitude and looks miserable. Even the managers are constantly changing like what kind of company is this? By the looks of it you can tell this company doesn't treat its staff well. Not to mention the garden registers don't have misters (like competitors) to keep staff and customers cool. Home Depot should re-evaluate the self check out register because it causes more register back up and in the end the staff is getting paid to stand and they look bored and miserable. Environment of this place is heavily noticed. Moms and dads don't take your children to the kid workshops either they are in the parking lot where your kids can wonder off and get hit by a car. Hands down the WORST customer service of any Home Depot I have ever been to. I recently purchased a house in june and in the process of making it a home I have made many Home depot trips( I have spent close to 20,000). Whenever I have a question or ask where something is they either are full of false pride or are condescending or simply dont know. Last night takes the cake. With my 4 year old son in tow we were off to get a xmas tree. We literally walked past 5 employees sitting down that scattered like cockroaches when I asked for help. I had to grab my own tree and watch out for my son not to get hit by car. I asked the guy to help put on top of my SUV and he argued about which way I had him position. I did not want him to put the stump thru my sunroof. (The SUV only cost me 75,000). I will only shop lowes even tho depot is closer. I also own quite a bit of stock in home depot, guess it's time to sell. read more

If there was a way to make shopping at a hardware store for essential repair needs more of a crap experience, anyone heading over to Temecula's HD might be led to believe the geniuses at corporate are putting their best and brightest Koolaide drinkers to the task. Most, if not all the normal faces are gone, and in their places are no-nothing, inexperienced, covid-19 enforcers. Pro Desk is closed for all but "phone orders," whatever that is..that requires standing in line with full carts. And the LINE snaking out the door for everyone else? What's that about HD? So, you limit the number of people who can enter the store, and then let everyone stand in a miserable, sweaty, line; snaking out the door for half their morning? How is that even logical? Wouldn't getting buyers in and out the door quickly, make the most sense? Why not fire up the self-check out lines? Did the computers that operate those get covid, too? If it's way too dangerous to open the necessary check out stations to keep everything flowing, how is being open at all safe? Why does it look like you're doing everything you can to make frequenting your store a miserable experience? For whatever reason..the economic collapse of 2020 has also destroyed critical thinking and math skills at corporate...or maybe all the higher ups have headed to their underground bunkers in New Zealand, leaving new hires making all the decisions. Whatever the reason for this giant cluster ****, many of us won't forget which companies went straight to WHO/CDC Gates "suggested" zealotry coupled with a large dollop of The Customer is a POS circa 1985 Soviet Russia attitudes. I like Home Depot, my husband LOVES it. Actually, when I am with him I HATE it. That's not the store's fault, that is my husband having to go down every single aisle looking to see if they got anything new since the last time he was there. Besides that..... Home Depot has a great kid's craft the first Saturday of every month. The first time you visit, the kids get their own Home Depot apron and get a pin (that represents the craft) every time you go and do the craft. Now, this isn't just open the package and put the craft together in a minute or two. You actually have glue, nail and assemble it - by reading instructions. It is funny to see the kids reading the instructions to the confused parents. My kids leave so proud after they are done and I have shelves full of their crafts and have used them as gifts from them to grandparents, friends, etc. Yes, they have basically everything you could ever want to fix up or repair your house but is the kid's craft that actually endeared Home Depot to me. read more

I had a great experience with a Home Depot employee that I haven't had in a long time. I needed multiple items from different parts of the store and most of which I needed help finding. I must have had a lost look on my face as a young guy pulling a big cart stop and asked is there is anything he can help with, I was surprised. I told "Billy" that I was looking for a few things and was having trouble finding them. Billy told me that he'd be more that happy to help me find everything on my list. Long story short he walked with me to find all my items where most of the time I'm there employees just point to the area I need to "walk and find". He even saved me from buying more then I needed and as I got to my clients house to start and finish my project he was right, I would've had to come back and do a return. recently started my own business every dollar helps. Worst experience ever is there anyone there that knows what they are doing? Tried to order tile what a fiasco. Talked to 4 different people 4 different answers. Called for a supervisor little help. Even after repeating my address to them 4 times its still incorrect on paperwork. Not even sure if they have the amount I needed. the associate called the store with the stock but after long wait hung up on us. The associate did not know how to figure out the square footage needed by the box kept trying to divide by the price per box rather than the square footage. complete disaster 1 1/2 hour to order have no idea when its suppose to come of even if that store had enough.
