Horible service. I ordered wood and supplies for a home project to be delivered to my home. It was delivered in 5 deliveries over 5 months. By the time I received all of the parts, I tried to begin my project only to discover that some of the wood they sent wasn't the correct size in width or length. When I called to get the correct size, they 1st said that they would come and get them if they were in good sellable condidtion. This was not the case as they didn't deliver the wood in sellable condition with rough edges, not the designated length or width. Thus they eventually had me talk with a manager and continued to put me off. Now over a year later I still have the wood that I can't use for my project and the manager is saying that they can only take returns if it's requested within 30 days of delivery. This wouldn't of worked either as they took 5 months to piecemeal deliver my project. Now I have to find somewhere else to purchase more wood for my project as I have a stack of wood that I can't use. read more

I was hoping to get some advice from one of the workers in the plumbing department. I asked him a question and he gave me an answer like I had been plumbing for years. Then when I asked him if he could show me, he made a frustrated gasp and tossed the part he had in his hand into a basket. I wish I caught the guys name but he was so obnoxious about helping me, that I left the store more confused than before I I was in there about 2 pm. I guess I'll have to go to Lowe's tomorrow to get help. 12/1/2018 John helped me today so I raised my rating from 2 stars to four because of him. Coming here is why I remembered why Lowes is so much better. Tried to return a brand new sealed product where the employee remembered selling it to me the day before. My kids threw away the receipt and they would not even offer store credit. Employee talked down to me as a vet and just belittled telling me I should go somewhere else if I didn't agree. Ordered a window through Home Depot in February, installed it in March. They came out to my house to address a couple concerns. Scott Hitchcock came out with a window tech and they had used clear silicone to seal the bottom and white silicone to seal the sides and top. The lower trim piece was not flat on the wall. Scott said" We are not going to paint your house if you read your contract you signed you would know that." I told him to show me where it says it is the home owners job if you screwed up on the in stall. Scott said well were not going to paint it and the bottom trim piece is as good as its going to get. I told him, well then take your window back. He said we can do that and said he will call me to let me know the date. The same day he called and said he will be out to paint it tomorrow. I asked about the trim and he said someone will contact me about it. They came out 3 more times and the last guy said the window frame was too thin for a window this big and said they will order a different window. Well September 9 th he installed the window. We received no paper work and it is the wrong window. The glass is much lighter than we ordered. Now October 8th and multiple e mails and phone calls plus 3 trips to home depot and today was told by an assistant manager James that the store has nothing to do with the problems and it has to go through customer service. Customer service said I would receive a call back within 24-48 hours. Called back today and the new person said it is 7-10 business days. My advice is stay away from the customer installation department. I also have a vinyl fence I went halves with and he did it through Home Depot. The company H&H FENCING did a Crappy Job. Oh almost forgot, I asked the guy who did the last window install for a card and his worker gave me a cannabis card. REALLY Way to go Home Depot. read more

Ryan in the plumbing department at the Temecula 79 location was kind, professional and super helpful, To help me solve a minor problem with a glacier bay toilet I purchased 5 months ago from HD. He saved me hundreds avoiding a plumbing appointment and solved a problem in a matter of minutes, That I was on the phone trying to understand with the glacier bay service line and the Home Depot 1-800# for over an hour. I can say the only reason Home Depot deserves a 5 star in this review is because of Ryan's work performance today, Otherwise the 2 people I initially spoke to about the problem at the pro desk responded mean and frantically about it, Said there's nothing they can do and instructed me to call the Home Depot 1-800 number for help. I did and was on hold for over 45 minutes with no response and proceeded to call again and luckily was transferred to the plumbing department. read more

Nobody came to help us and then as we were leaving , a random sales guy asked if we got help yet I said no, we are leaving now and he replied with "have a good night". Went here to pick up some corrugated metal. Had three employees walk past me I was was loading the on cart. These are 12 feet long and very awkward. Same thing loading them as I was loading them in the truck. Asked for help as four employees were helping a guy load a box. Then after they were done they all walked away. I have had quite a few negative experiences with HD. just purchased a dish washer, delivery$ , extra for the tool kit$, and haul away old DW$. these additional costs increased the purchase price of my dish washer more than 50%. i scheduled the delivery/installment for Tuesday 4/4/23. i arranged for my son to be home. i was sent a text to let me know they were on the way, and to make sure I had done everything required for the delivery/install/haul away, I was given a checklist, along with a photo itemization if each item I had paid for: DW, install, install kit, haul away old DW. the installer contracted by HD did arrive, my son let the person in with the boxed DW. The minute he came in the, my son was asked to sign the invoice, but was not given a copy, He told them he would put our dogs in the back yard, so they could dovtheir job and asked if they needed him to do anything else. They responded "No, we're good.". When my son returned from securing the dogs, the delivery/ installers had left and the giant box with the DW was left in our entry way. when my son messaged me, to tell me what happened, I was perplexed and a bit angry. After work, I headed directly to HD. I spoke with someone in appliances. He was no help at all, he said they would look into it. I never heard back, so I wrote emails- that went unanswered, I made phone calls where I was told that, "well your son signed for the DW, you can't return it, and now it has been 48 hours sincjudt 2 days before this DW fias it was delivered. So you have to keep the DW". I have had better customer service at the DMV. I hung up and went directly to HD. I spoke with the manager, he didn't want to help either. I explained that I have all the receipts and evidence that I purchased the install and haul away of old DW. Manager hemmmed and hawed, he said well your son should not have signed the invoice until they were leaving and had finished the job. So again, they put this error back on the customer. Why would my son for a second think that HD would send a CON-Contractor ? Finally the HD manager said he would take care of it. I stated that I want all charges credited back, I want the DW to be picked up from my entryway and I want my account CLOSED. I WILL NOT VE DOJNG BUSINESS WITH HD again. He said he would take care of it. It has been 5 days and NOTHING, not an email, a phone call, CRICKETS. This is not the first time we have had contracted work gone WRONG thru HD. I had even just scheduled to have the entire flooring replaced in our home. We had the guy come to measure before the DW FIASCO. SO YEP CANCELING THAT ORDER TOO read more

We purchased an LG Washer and Dryer set from Home Depot and it was delivered during the week. The dryer has NEVER fully dried any clothes. The dryer would turn on, we could here the gas light up, but after 54 minutes, we checked the clothes and they were still damp and cool. We worked during the week and read the full manual and watched videos to see if it was just a settings issue and nothing worked. We called home depot to have it checked and they sent two guys out whom checked the installation and the exhaust, then the settings and they said it was defective and we need to get a replacement. It would not heat up. Then it got far worse. Both my wife and I have spent over 7 hours of phone calls and transfers to different departments, then transfers to LG manufacturer, then they randomly hang up on us. Then we asked for escalation to managers, then all they do is play a game of transferring our calls, giving us hope they will replace this Dryer that is defective and has NEVER worked properly. The best they will do is try to repair the unit. We purchased a new dryer, and we want a unit that works. They want to repair a defective unit that never worked. So watch out, if you do not check the entire washer and dryer to make sure all functions work within 48 hours, they will not back up their products. Most of us are too busy to try all function in 48 hours and their store personel never advised us we only have 48 hours to make sure everything works. Poor disclosure, but it is in the small fine print on the receipt. Not provided to us before the purchase, and not explained. We now have a defective LG laundry set for $2200 that we can not use and customer service was horrible, even the local store management would not help. I have a business that has spent over $500,000 at the store, and they still will not honor and back the product they sell. They said it is not their product and that we actually bought it from LG, but we bought it at their store. If Home Depot will not honor their products, it is time to use what little competition is left. Do Not Buy any appliances from HOME DEPOT- Especially avoid the Corona Locatioin, you will get ripped off too. read more

We ordered a refrigerator from this location. It was due to be delivered Friday 7/17/20, our 39th anniversary. It wasn't delivered We looked at the invoice and noticed the sales clerk had our address wrong. We called Home depot. They said call the warehouse. They said call the delivery service. The delivery service said to call Home Depot and have them send their address, so they can deliver it to the store. I called Home Depot and they can't find our order now. They all said they'd call back. But no one has. My wife is in tears. We have food spoiling and she doesn't have her anniversary gift. read more

I was looking for drought tolerant plants, mulch, and potting soil. I found everything I needed in this place. I even found the mulch on sale -- 4 bags for $10 -- so good! They have a great selection of plants. I bought most of my plants from here, but I took off one star because after shopping around, I noticed that the local, smaller nurseries had more competitive pricing & their plants were much healthier. However, was very happy with the mulch & potting soil pricing. I'm also happy about the one stop shopping as the smaller nurseries didn't carry the chicken wire & mulch I needed. read more

This location is convenient as it's literally within walking distance. This Home Depot can get very busy, especially on weekends. If you're buying just little things there's no problem with that. Although, sometimes it's hard to get someone to help you out when you actually need someone's help. We recently try to buy a dryer, as well as a dishwasher. Unfortunately there was only one person working in the appliance department. He spent majority of the time on the phone while we were there, and didn't even acknowledge us. As we've been standing for at least half an hour. We were ready to buy both appliances, but with no help, we ended up going across town to their competitor and had a better success there. Bottom line, we'll still go here to buy small stuff for around the house, big ticket items...that's a different story. read more

This store is great and a lot of the employees here are very helpful. However there is this one female associate that works by the registers that is very rude. Her name is Eva and I hope management gives her some lessons on good customer service. She always gives me attitude whenever I want to use self-checkout and she raises her voice for no apparent reason. I've noticed that she treats her fellow employees with no respect. Every time I go to the store I always see her standing and doing nothing which is unfair to the other cashiers that are struggling to kill lines. Someone with her attitude should not be working at this establishment and I hope she gets fired soon. read more

The customer service is an absolute joke and they will not help you after 48 hours from the delivery under a manufactures warranty. It wasn't broken after 2 days... so that alone is ridiculous. The part needed has been on back order for months now(and we are still waiting) on a brand new model fridge because the part wasn't even in production yet the fridge is so new. When calling corporate, who was also extremely rude to me, I was told to call the Better Business Bureau...? This has to tell you something about this company as a whole.. they do not train well nor do they care about anything else but making money. To sell something you can't or won't, help a customer with after 2 days from the delivery date is the most insane thing I have ever heard of especially when the actual part needed is not available yet. I have a $2400 Fridge that has not worked properly since May 2023 when it was purchased in October 2022. I was absolutely fine with going through Whirlpool for the issue but said part is STILL not available and it is going to be probably 5 months before we can get it. We only purchased the fridge from here because it was out of stock everywhere else and had been without a fridge already for 3 weeks and specifically needed a counter depth. I will NEVER give this company my business again and I have never been so disappointed. read more

The Temecula Hone Depot off Tenecula Parkway needs to change the checkout procedures. Before Covid the checkout procedure worked perfect, quick in & out, however, now the "one" line runs halfway through the store. I understand during the Covid restrictions, they had to make changes. I shop at many Hone Depot locations and it's only this location that continues to make customers wait in the "one" long line. It takes additional Home Depot staff to monitor the lines and often the monitoring employee gets distracted by customers, as we all wait and wait and wait. I hate going to that location because I know it's going to be a long wait to checkout. read more

The people that delivered my frig would not install it because they said it had cooper piping which is what you are suppose to have and is better than plastic piping. I think they were lazy and did not want to install it. Their customer service is really crappy. I wish they they would have let me know ahead of time so I could have made other arrangements. Even before 8:00 am, curbside pickup took too long. Plus, the questions in the followup HD customer satisfaction survey didn't really apply to curbside pickup. You couldn't complete and submit the survey unless you answered every question, and there were no 'not applicable' buttons. Come on Home Depot! You can do better! How does a customer who doesn't go in the store rate employee knowledge? How is he supposed to know how many minutes it took for store employees to assemble his order? ETC (After a while, I went into the store to wait at the customer pickup desk. There was a major holdup there too. I was looking for particular items and it was obvious I wasn't sure where to look. I go to approach someone and they dodge you because the are on a mission to get on their break, which you overheard. I spend more money with Home Depot each month than any other bill that I currently have ongoing. The service and help at the Temecula store is sparse and unknowledgeable...... but the single worst part is the ridiculous line that they make you stand in instead of in front of each register. They insist that you go to that line and wait to be called, while others continually walk up to the registers to get assistance. There is no sense of organization or anyone directing traffic. Completely unorganized at the Home Depot in Temecula and for the prices we pay....they need to get their act together. read more

As a Vietnam veteran, I'm generally not used to any special treatment although in recent years many businesses have shown their appreciation by providing some discounts for veterans and military personnel. My gripe, however, is with The Home Depot in Temecula in their poor attempt at offering veterans a 10% discount on merchandise. For the past several years they have offered discounts at certain times of the year although retrieving these discounts has always been such a hassle. There has been no consistent policy on what military or veteran ID is required. Sometimes the discount has been given and at other times, the store associate denies the discount. Recently, however, they set up a Military Discount Program via The Home Depot app. I completed the registration and downloaded the app on my phone. Unfortunately, the reception at the Temecula store is poor, and the app doesn't work. This has happened to me on several occasions when I've tried to use the app. Even the store associates have indicated that it's a problem and have honored my discount once they saw my veteran ID. Yesterday, I purchased some items and showed my veteran's ID. However, I was told that I had to use the app. I explained that because of the poor Internet reception at the store, the app was useless. The associate didn't care, didn't try to help me in any way and I didn't receive any discount. Once again, there's still no consistency in the policy. Why is it so difficult? If you wish to offer a military discount, that's fine and much appreciated. But, at least, show some flexibility when you know the reception is terrible. From now on, I've decided to purchase my items from Lowe's whose military appreciation policy for a 10% discount is so simple. They issue you a card, which I scan prior to purchasing, and I have never had any problems there. read more

This is the go to spot for anything you need for your home. I am always here when I need something that I can't wait for on Amazon. It's amazing how well the staff know where certain things are. They even know which isle to go to and will give you directions if needed. Prices are decent and the staff are pretty friendly. They have a wide variety of flower and vegetable seeds for gardening. You can also swap out your propane tanks here. If you are getting large items, there is a loading zone that has a separate entrance for easy loading. You can also rent a truck from them if you get something that won't fit in your car. read more

Home Depot usually has what I need at a reasonable price. They are usually pretty helpful. The reason I am complaining a little is because the last time I went there to get a pint of paint I was asking simple questions like "is this the smallest size they come in?" "what does this brand cost compared to that brand?," "do I take the paint now or are you going to shake it up" and the man helping me has this tone of voice like I was an idiot for not knowing about paint! I mean he deals with paint every day and I do about once in a decade! I kept trying to be nice since my wife did send me for touch up paint. The thing that really upset me was that when we were almost done (and I was ready to punch him in the face =) Another customer walked by and slightly bumped into something and looked confused. This "Customer service rep" started poking fun at this other customer, and not in the quietest tone of voice. I will go there when I need what they have. I do not like being treated as stupid when they are supposed to be the professionals and I am a paying customer asking to be led in the right direction! read more

As a general rule, I can't stand Home Depot. I just don't belong there. Being in the aisles for 1/2 an hour while my husband decides on paint or which ladder to buy or something makes me want to climb the walls. However, as it is a necessary evil to get some things done around the house, it's a great store for most everything you need. Employees always ask if you need help finding anything and most of them seem to know where just about everything is located in the store, even the most obscure, specialized hooks or knobs or whatever. Jed is an especially helpful guy - usually in the appliance area. Closer to closing time, finding someone to help you can be a big feat but all in all, it helps you get the job done.
