Dent in the lower drawer of my new range.
    Carlos T.

Stay away from the Home Depot when buying appliances. That's unless you want it to be dented. This time they delivered and installed an electric range. Turns out it is dented inside the lower drawer. Last week, they also delivered and dented a 2-in-1 washer and dryer combo.

Me climbing a latter so I can grab an area rug down from the top shelf. Several employees saw me but nobody said a word.

I go to this Home Depot a lot because of the convenience. If I can make the purchase elsewhere, I will. This is the worst Home Depot. I will look up the item online so I know where it is and then use self checkout. At this store, the employees should be replaced by machines. I'm not sure why they have employees anyway. I've never seen any of them actually do anything. Nobody has ever said, "can I help you?" Never! There have been times that I've asked for help and rather than them show you to an item, they say "oh yeah it's in isle 23" and they keep moving. It wasn't even in isle 23. I have taken drastic measures to try and get assistance in this place. One time I took a shovel and continued to bang it on the ground loudly expecting somebody to ask me to stop, and then I can ask them to help me with a rug. I have found employees hanging out in one of the corner isles avoiding having to ignore customers face to face. I regularly use the latter myself to get items down from high places. I used their power saw. They get one star because they have somebody who actually does mix paint. He isn't very friendly and it takes a while, but he does it. I recommend you look for your product elsewhere before going to this store. If you must go, find your product online so you don't need assistance. Bring a credit or debit card so you don't need assistance for that either. Make sure you're buying the right product because you will not want to go back here to return it.

Decent megastore for home improvements. Good return system and quick. Store is huge and fully stocked. Problem is always getting someone to help that is knowledgeable. Seems everyone you ask is "not in that department ". Plenty of parking but look out for shopping carts hitting your car.

Bowie enjoying his trip to Home Depot.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - PC RICHARDS I am posting this…read moreeverywhere because people deserve to know how PC Richards actually operates. About 2 1/2 years ago, I purchased a dryer from PC Richards along with their service agreement. 8 months ago, my dryer stopped drying clothes. They replaced the motherboard. While it temporarily helped, the dryer never truly worked correctly afterward. November 29 - dryer completely lost heat. Service appointment scheduled for December 5. The technician arrived, spent minutes with a flashlight and screwdriver, checked for an error code, and immediately declared, "It's the motherboard again." No real evaluation. No disassembly. December 8 - I received an email stating the part was ordered. By December 13 - no call, no appointment. When I contacted the service department, I was told the part order had been canceled in the notes without notifying me. Their "solution" was a $75 voucher and reordering the part. Important detail: That voucher was later canceled. December 20 - a new technician arrived. The motherboard was NOT the issue. Dryer still didn't work. He admitted the previous tech should have ordered sensors-- only to find out this part is normally stocked on their trucks..but that tech left without replacing and stated they need to be ordered. December 24 (Christmas Eve) - sensors installed. Still not fixed. Thankfully, my husband (an HVAC technician) was home and insisted they actually take the dryer apart instead of blindly chasing error codes. Final diagnosis: The motor was burned out the entire time. Once replaced in January, the dryer worked perfectly. The real issue: * No proper diagnostics * No accountability * Managers hiding behind "protocol" * Techs trained to look only for codes instead of evaluating the appliance * Complete disregard for the customer's time I had to take off EIGHT DAYS OF WORK, yet PC Richards considers this "one occurrence" because they label it "evaluation then repair." Convenient for them. Costly for me. This is no longer the family business it once was. It's a company that sends undertrained technicians, wastes customers' time, cancels promised resolutions, and takes zero responsibility. I will never do business with PC Richards again, and I strongly urge others to think twice before purchasing appliances or service agreements from them. People deserve better. Fuck you, PC Richards.
