Turns out they're claiming I cancelled the credit card transaction but I still have to pay the $75 which I'm not. I love going here to be able to get one or two bolts, or nuts or whatever, instead of an entire package. For a small store they have almost everything I ever need for my projects or home maintenance. The staff is always friendly and greet you when you come in. They are always asking if you need help. If you need help and they are not right there just go to the counter and they will help. Unlike at a big box store when you need help and you can't find a stinking soul to help you. lol. They will talk with you about what you are doing and looking for and can make suggestions or will look for an answer. At a big box store once you DO find somebody, half the time they can't help and have to get somebody else. So, their hours are great. Their staff is friendly, helpful and around. The selection is great. And their prices are not bad either.

My last few dryer loads have ended with the felt seal in the drum hanging down. It was clearly losing its stickiness and I looked up whether this could be replaced and how hard it was. The whole drum has to come off, which is out of my capability range, so we tried calling these folks as they are nearby with positive reviews. This was on a Wednesday and although the soonest available appointment was Monday, they promised we would be on a cancellation list. The next day a cancellation came up but, when the woman listened more in depth to the issue, she said she wanted to be honest because for our dryer, even though it's just about five years old, the parts needed were no longer made and we were going to need to replace the dryer. She didn't want us to have to pay a service call only to learn it was unfixable. I really appreciated and respected this. Also when she couldn't get us an appointment immediately, she mentioned they prioritize people with broken refrigerators first, and if you've ever been there you will understand and respect this as well, because washing your clothes can generally wait but food going bad, not so much. I had two dogwood trees fare poorly before coming to the conclusion that my location or soil simply wasn't right for that tree and replacing it with a weeping cherry from here, which is absolutely thriving. I also have a Koi pond and get all of my fish supplies here, including very nice water lilies every spring after I do a deep clean of my pond. They have all of the flowers, vegetables and herbs, mulches, soils and gardening tools you might be looking for. I sometimes find prices here to be just a dollar or two more expensive than some other places, but I don't mind when I'm supporting such a nice local store. Always staff available to help, which you just don't get at other places.

ReStore sells new and used appliances (e.g., washers, dryers, refrigerators, and stoves), furniture (e.g., couches, chairs, dining sets, and dressers), building materials (e.g., hardware, flooring, light fixtures, plumbing supplies, and windows), and home décor at low prices. The proceeds from the sales are used to build and repair housing for low-income families in the Pittsburgh area. Most recently, I emailed ReStore to ask if they would accept my shelving unit, coat rack, light fixtures, space heater, flower pots, hose hangers, and other items. I was required to send photos of the items to show the style and condition. Two days later, an employee replied that they would accept my items, and he scheduled a pickup from my house for several days later. On the pickup day, the pickup window was from 9 AM to 3 PM, and 15 minutes before the driver arrived at my house, he called me to inform me that he was on his way. The driver pulled up to my house in a truck (see the attached photo). He was very polite, and he moved my items from my driveway into his truck. At the end of his visit, he handed me a receipt, and he kindly thanked me and wished me a great day.

Since it was energy and water efficient, it didn't fill with enough water to actually clean the clothes, wouldn't agitate properly like a washer should, and was just in general and all around piece of crap. The salesman understood and recommended a Speed Queen old school washer. Unlike many other stores, Sprowls actually had one in stock so I didn't have to order it and wait. I bought it, picked it up, and was able to use it the very same day. And, I am very happy with my purchase. The machine works perfectly and does the job that a washing machine is supposed to do. It fills to a level that I can control, has an agitator that actually cleans the clothes and has enough power to do a full load. I would highly recommend both the store and the machine.

I was given the impression that I would have the quote to me by the time I returned from vacation. I did not. A month has now passed since my initial contact with the company. I emailed them 7/27/26 asking about the quote, and the response I received was that they were still waiting on the 3rd party (installers) and the person they were waiting on was on vacation and wouldn't be back for another 2 weeks. At that point I was sure, as I had suspected earlier, that I was being strung along the whole time. I have no respect for people/companies that operate on lies. Just be honest with customers and tell them you don't want the job or you are too busy to get to it. Total disrespect. Everyone's time is valuable. I truly don't know how people can do this to people. Friends that wanted similar work done were waiting to see how things went with mine. I have already begun sharing my experience with those people and others and I will continue to do so. I do NOT recommend this company in any capacity.
