If you somehow manage to find someone they won't know anything about anything. I came here and needed help finding a specific screw and had to wait 20 minutes for someone who could help me. I came into Home Depot several times for the renovations of my 3 bathrooms , and their associate Kenley was super informative on the whereabouts of all the plumbing materials, not once did he hesitate. I usually frequent this store quite often but to be honest it's quite hard at times because as big as this store is there is just not enough workers to help anyone and the few that are there never seem to know anything when asked or seem to have an attitude. I've literally walked around in this store for minutes looking for some type of assistance and at times couldn't find anyone and the workers that did happen to see me never even asked me if I needed help or anything, it's almost like they didn't care to do their job or it felt to me as if they didn't want to be bothered. I can't tell you the last time i walked into this store and someone cared to ask me if I needed assistance with anything ..It's really not that pleasant of an experience coming into a store and the customer service feels subpar and very out of touch and it's been this way for a while. I went to Home Depot at Westbury. For a hardware store, it was surprisingly well organized and clean. I went searching for a plumbing item and the staff there was helpful. They were earnest at helping me to find my desired product and advised me on whether I could realistically complete the project. A big shoutout to Mohammed and Ken. I've always had pretty good luck shopping here, but a visit today was a game changer. We'd been looking for patio chairs, and found the best deal here. I went to the customer service desk, and told a young lady named Cat what I wanted. I walked out with her to show her, and requested 4 chairs. I paid and waited for her to come out and unlock the cables that held the chairs. Then came the hard part - I had to get them, somehow, into the trunk of my Saturn sedan. I had brought a lengthy bungee cord, and we looked at different approaches. A co-worker she brought along said it's impossible. Then she refused to say no, and worked the cord around and through the chairs, end up with a stable position that held the short ride home. read more

But I was fortunate enough to be assisted by Donald yesterday when I was ordering my Andersen glass window panel. He helped me by calling Andersen's customer service and ordering it for me. Thank goodness he was there because I would have given the Andersen's customer service rep the wrong door design and would have gotten the wrong window panel. This is my go to Home Depot during lunch since I work nearby. They always seem to have what I need and the staff are very helpful. Recently I was shopping for some outdoor LED bulbs for my exterior sensor lights. They only had Bright White and Day Light. I wanted the Soft White and an employee came up to me and asked if if I need help and I told him what I was looking for. He immediately scanned the bar code on the self where they should have been and looked for them up above. Went to get a portable staircase and went up to get what I needed. Unfortunately they did not have soft white so he gave me the bright white which he said that was between daylight and soft white and told me I can return them if I wish. Brought them home and I could not tell the difference. All Good. As I continued to shop there were other staff asking if I needed assistance and I did ask and got all the help I needed. Glad to have this Home Depot close to work. Awesome!! read more

Stopped in to pick up a telescoping ice scraper/snow remover for my Rav4 before the first snow of the season. Place was jumping with activity between shoppers and staff. I found exactly what I was looking for. They have tons of snow shovels but I only found 4 telescoping snow brushes. ( I only needed 1) It is early in the season and I am sure they will get more. Worst service ever for online ordering. Never online order from home depot. Your money will be stuck on gift cards since they lie about items being in stock and have no way to contact supplier or vendor. They won't refund or reorder items without id. They kept putting my order on back order and twisted my arm to get me to show id like I'm a criminal for wanting my refund. The managers were all over the place with what is needed for refund even when its the store's fault. They told me to refund an order they must get id without even taking in consideration that the order was on backorder without any estimated date of shipment. They basically profiled me and stored my id information on their system to track my refund as if i commited fraud by asking for my money back. There was no return as I never received any item. I was never going to. Guess what? I received my refund when they checked my id because there is no fraud against me. They still only gave me the money back in the form of store credit instead of returning to original payment method as if I have done something wrong. 0 stars to them for how they treated me like dirt for mere $60 worth of stuff that was never shipped. I was in dire need to enjoy the coming weekend - thought why not start my backyard gardening. Never realized that I have never made a review for this place wherein this is my go to nursery. Anyway , due to Covid, there is a long line in order to get inside. Since most of what I need are laid out on the parking lot, I grabbed a cart and dropped all in my cart before getting in line. It was not bad, it did not take me long to reach the end. Their nursery is great. Lots of choices. Wished I could stay longer and browse for other stuff. Got to make it quick , am doing and following social distancing. Will do another review next time for the home improvement section. Heard good things about their merchandise selection , the organization system and the manager team. We will see. read more

This is one of two chain home improvement retailer's that I have purchased tools, appliances & other home improvement products. But this location is one of the busiest that I have ever visited. I usually shop at Home Depo when I know exactly what I need and where it is located in the store. But when I have a home project that requires an experience hardware assistance, I normally will visit the neighborhood hardware store. read more

Sunday evening at Home Depot on Jericho Tpke. in Westbury, it was drizzling out. Could not find an associate in garden. A shout out to Lorianne who lifted the tree and popped it on my cart. We all know the truth about Home Depot, the customer service tends to be pretty bad in general and I thought I had found one location that was actually reasonable. Well that all went downhill today. I stood at an asile for over 25 mins asking various employees for help. Everyone would walk pass me and would direct me to the front, I would go to the front and then I was sent to the aisle. We played this game for a little until I was to exhausted to move and stayed in the aisle waiting for help. Unbelievable how a company like Home Depot has such terrible customer service. Also after I finally found the item I was looking for on my own they refuse to give it to me for the price listed on the floor and told me it was incorrect. This place is a disaster! read more

FACT: Suburban Home Depots are soooo much better than city ones. There's really no comparison. I stopped by my local HD over the weekend to check out their planters. Wrong. There's plenty of plants... but their planter selection was pathetic. Soooo after an afternoon at Jones Beach I asked the Hubs if we could make a detour to the Westbury Home Depot. I'm sooo glad we did! They basically had an entire aisle of bright and colorful planters in a variety of sizes and price points. I picked up two planters to take back to Brooklyn with me. I took away one star because on a Saturday afternoon they didn't have any registers open - just 'self checkout'. Sometimes self-checkout is great, but sometimes you get that person in front of you who doesn't know how to scan their items. Ugh. Despite that lil' hiccup - I'd gladly drive back out to this HD to pick stuff up for the apartment - can't beat the selection! read more

Went to home depot westbury. Very helpful in the plumbing department. I happen to loose my bracelet ( it was costly) that day I retraced my steps an hour later but did not find it. I decided to call 2 days later. Spoke to someone she said no nothing found. But a short time later I received a call from home depot that they did have my bracelet. The miracle was I didn't leave my name or number. They had to retrace the call. I drove there told to go to managers office. This used to be my favorite store until I placed an order for vertical blinds on Feb 7th I was told they should arrive within 2 weeks on feb 14 I got an email that they were being shipped, I waited a week then called the store and was told the same thing they shipped on February 14, waited another week called the store and a nice lady helped me and said she'll speak to the manager and he will call me back in 3 days , never called me I called today and was told they will ship in 2 days and I should receive them in 2 weeks, this is a lot of BS I hope i don't believe them this is not good customer service and I will not shop in this store again, I hope can get my money back as this is a special order read more

Here we go again, another bad review - stopped by for a propane tank. I waited at the customer service desk for a short period of time, nothing crazy, I could see a few looks in my direction by the HD staff but no one actually acknowledged me - no big deal, typical customer service these days, so I just waited. When someone did acknowledge me, after making eye contact a few times, I asked for a propane tank, I was told Home Depot does not carry propane tanks (uh, not true, I always get my tanks from Home Depot and I know there were a bunch in the cage, also, the customer ahead of me was waiting for a propane tank as well, only difference was, he actually received a tank). In any case, I wasn't sure if I heard her correctly so I asked for clarification. She then informed me the manager told her that the customer before me was the last customer to get a propane tank today - it was 7pm, Home Depot closes at 10 pm...sooooo...are we not going to sell propane tanks for the next three hours? I'm glad the "manager" doesn't think the owner of Home Depot cares about profits. Is there some kind of HD policy restricting propane tank distribution during certain hours? It was also Superbowl weekend - soooo....is that a smart business decision? Telling customers they can't pick up propane tanks on SUPERBOWL weekend? That's like saying you can't buy propane tanks in July - People are grilling and hosting parties this weekend.....I have a pretty good idea it was due to the fact that each time a customer needs a propane tank, - the HD employee needs to walk around the corner, unlock the gate, weigh and distribute each tank - extra work. Thanks. It's just kind of sad - I always remember Home Depot staff being super helpful and when I wasn't sure of what tools or paint to buy, etc...someone from HD was always willing to help - so I always kept coming back - great Customer service equals repeat customers. Lately, it just seems like customer service on that level is just so hard to find - it's rare to find a HD employee who is knowledgeable about anything home improvement related or just simply knowledgeable about proper customer service (some are either rude or so completely disinterested in helping). I wish all HD location were laid out alike. I get lost every time I go into a HD store and lately it seems that they have cut back on the personnel so there is no one to ask for help. At this point in time I would be happy to pay a bit more to my local hardware store, but unfortunately he did not have what I needed. The only reason I am thankful for all of the big box hardware stores at this time are for the people in Texas who will need these places when they start the rebuilding process to their homes. I do hope the HD and the other stores do not hike the prices and take advantage of the situation if the storm victim's. In conclusion you would sure think that you would find plenty of packing tape in a big huge hardware store, but it was bare bones at best. My girlfriend ordered a kitchen refacing, appliances, and a few cabinets/ top without me to review from Home Depot, Westbury. I am a Union Carpenter/ Supervisor/ Shop Steward for almost 40 years. She tried to do it on her own. They took complete advantage of her good nature and inexperience. What a mistake. The installer routed the formica on her wall cabinets right down to the wood. They had to replace all the cabinets. They replaced 4 cabinets with one in four cabinets; one piece. Something later goes wrong, the whole thing must be replaced! She ordered this job and a garbage bin from Jeff Caparella, assistant installation manager. She never got it. There is NO breakdown of the prices where she could have seen what they were to give. Her mistake; she trusted them. The uneven fillers (4"!) are large decreasing her cabinet space, look and storage. The microwave cabinet was made 2" larger than the microwave they took down. They refused to install the microwave and dishwasher. I said refused! When they quoted her the job, they did not break down the prices. Steven said, "It's like a salad. You don't pay separately for the tomatoes, it's all included". How do you know what's included? Is this legal? Where is the garbage bin that Jeff, who took her order was suppose to order and install? Due to Corona, we can not sue, but we stopped payment on the Home Depot Credit Card. Since it's a Home Depot Credit Card not your regular credit card, she must continue to pay $95.00/ month while it's being disputed. What a mess! Horrible work! Horrible! After contacting many times, Peter T Couvaris, Branch Installation Manager, Steven E Gilbert, Sales, and Deborah A Drew, Sales, her cabinets were replaced with a single, smaller, poorly designed wall cabinet. After many emails to just finish the contract, nothing was done to date. This is well over two months ago. Microwave is still on the floor and the dishwasher out of service. Before you decide to have a kitchen, bathroom, or even a ceiling fan installed, don't! Not here! Go somewhere else. In times like this, Companies should not screw us. For refacing 4 wall cabinets, 1 base cabinet: doors and draw faces, an island all with acrylic countertops, the cheapest and a no name refrigerator and dishwasher= $10,000.00. I'll show you the bill! Pictures below show everything and how they left her coop. I hope you don't risk having work done by these crooks at Home Depot, Westbury. Update: The Island Unit is also damaged with an add-on wood face as if it was made too small. A piece was added on and left the wood scratched up, glued on and weak. Home Depot Credit Card Scam: Unlike your credit card, Home Depot only guarantees a dispute up to 90 days. Due to the contractor's butcher job and the reordering of new, inferior cabinets again, the 90 day warranty was thrown out. We were told to sue in the middle of a Pandemic. I understand that Jeffrey Caparella, assist installation manager called this week, 4-12/20 and said he would honor the garbage bin, but due to Covid, it's on hold. How about mailing it to us and we will install it, if possible? Let's see where Mr. Caparella goes on this huge kitchen fiasco. DO NOT BUY ANY KITCHEN OR APPLIANCE FROM THIS HOME DEPOT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE or do it at your own risk. I certify that everything is true and accurate. I rarely feel the need to post a review this negative but this has been the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. Earlier this week I went to this store to buy a ceiling fan and a fireplace mantel. After several attempts to find an associate I found one who sent me to the wrong section. Strangely the floor associates look away whenever there is a customer near but as several customers were complaining that they could not get help. I found the fans and had a question - once again no sales associates that would help. I purchased the fan and thought it was a one off. Later that week I returned to the store to buy 2 piece of lumber - one that required cutting. Again no sales representatives and customers complaining that they cannot get help. I finally found the lumber I need and an associate I chased down directed me to wait by a machine. There were several other people waiting. No one came for over 20 minutes. I again ventured out to find a representative who detected me to another saw - still no one around to work any of the machines. I then approached a group of 3 floor reps talking on the floor and explained my situation. Two looked at me and replied "wow you have been waiting a long time". The other went to find someone who could work the machine. The others stayed chatting saying goodbye to an employee who was parent KT leaving saying "your lucky to get out of here". Next I hear a page for someone to come to lumber and work the cutter. Now I finally thought someone would come - another 20 minutes and no one. The same group of floor reps standing about 25ft away talking and can visibly see me waiting. No one ever came - Finally I left and went to a nearby Lowe's. The leadership team in this store should be ashamed. There were customers in every isle complaining that they needed an associative and those available visibly ignored them. This is the worse Home Depot I have ever visit and the most poorly managed establishment I have ever seen. read more

I've been going to this Home Depot for years. It's what you expect from a Home Depot. The employees are usually helpful, sometimes you get a kid that doesn't wanna be there but for the most part they're really good. Everything is easy to find and they have some good sales. It's located in a shopping center with Michael's, Fairway and Applebees so you can easily spend an afternoon. Get your home shopping done, grab a bite then hit Fairway for some groceries. During my kitchen renovation in 2018, I ordered Thomasville cabinets from The Home Depot location in Westbury, NY. The Home Depot Designer made me believe that these were made by Thomasville furniture, which I had known as a manufacturer of nice quality furniture. However, their kitchen cabinets were manufactured by Masterbrands. The delivered cabinets were inferior quality to what was shown in the store. Among the issues were poor construction and uneven stain on both the cabinet boxes and the doors, as well as door hinges that pulled out during installation. After speaking with the Home Depot Assistant Store Manager and the Masterbrands Regional Sales Representative, they arranged for the return of the merchandise and I obtained a full refund. I ordered custom cabinets from a well rated kitchen business resulting in my beautiful kitchen! The Home Depot incident lead to a financial loss to me (paying my contractor to pack up the cabinets in my apartment for pick up by Masterbrands) and the inconvience in delaying my renovation (the custom cabinets took three months to construct and deliver). I contacted the Home Depot corporate office in Atlanta GA, with supporting documention such as invoices and pictures. However, after much follow up, they only offered me a fraction of what I was seeking, which I declined. read more

Driving into the parking lot and finding a spot close to the entrance because the store wasn't crowded was a huge selling point to me .. and once I walked in it was great , I asked the first sales associate where the window blinds were And he was so helpful. When we got to the window bliNd area we couldn't find the sizes we needed and the young lady working was so helpful, she literally got a fork lift and went through the boxes all the way on top to find us what we needed .. if that's not Top customer service I don't know what is . Getting a new home we clearly need a lot of products and this Home Depot will be our go to store . We were so happy after this experience.
