Home Depot is always my fav store for buying household items and all tools . this location is slightly off the route but good for central NJ people ... especially Woodbridge area. Nice parking facilities . the availability of stocks in this location in slightly less than other ones - in Plainfield and Rt 1 .. it's still good to see this location . I liked their paint section and garden products . All other tools / lights etc are good too. Nice experience.. read more

Plenty of employees walking around asking if you need help. Ingrid at paint was fantastic multitasking multiple customers. She was very knowledgeable about all the paint options which is a huge plus. Our favorite part about HomeDepot is that they are pet friendly! Throw a leash on your pups and you're good to go! I will be updating my review after taking a look at the workshops. I would've appreciated more knowledge around Workshop services as that would be a great way to empower those that are less handy! I was surprised how little knowledge every employee we spoke to had about the workshops that are advertised. read more

Home depot is pretty decent. Lots of employees are around to help and always asking if I need help. They have most of the stuff in stock and its clean. It's a little tricky to maneuver around since there are lots of things in the aisle. Only thing I dislike about it, there is only one entrance and exit. So if you miss the entrance you have to go allllllll the way around again. Watch out for the crazy contractors they go fast in and out and have no regard for your car and leave carts around no matter if the rack in right there.. read more

This store is terrible. Everything from the customer service to the managers is purely unprofessional. Let's start with just calling the store- the level of sheer disrespect and utter disregard for how they treat a customer is absurd. The call begins with a young female answering the call already aggravated. While I'm asking a question about the item I ordered, she began to cut me off. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but apparently that was too much to ask for and she hung up. Called corporate in attempt to get assistance with my order and finally seemed to be getting somewhere with a managers Laura and Carmen, just to find out that communication in this store' is their weakest suit- they cancelled my order. They literally seemed to understand and I even waited a few hours for them to fix the error, but I was expecting too much from people who clearly are just showing up for a pay check not to actual help a customer. Lowe's has zero interest in the consumer. This particular location should be either shut down or they need to hire a new group of people because what's there now is complete failure. This is also including the appliance employees that misinform the customers because they are too lazy to do their job or maybe aren't equipped to provide information about things they clearly don't know. Store 1658- is a complete waste of existence. Unprofessionalism should be this stores motto. read more

Where are employees when you need them? The challenge of coming to Home Depot is not so much as finding the items you need but more so looking for an employee and pray they are able to answer questions. Personally, I prefer shopping at Lowes and it's not because their customer service is way better but it's because I'm able to find an employee to ask questions. However at Home Depot, I do notice they do carry different items than their competitors and at different prices (even for the same products). Some items are priced more and some are priced less. Please do your homework before you purchase especially if you have a big house project that price checking can save some $ expense and the taxes on top of that $. I would come here if you know exactly what you're looking for and that the items are priced cheap. If it's a high ticket items, go to a Home Depot branch that is located in urban township for the local sales tax are 3.5% rather than 7%. Hey, every penny saves except in this case you'd save hundreds! read more

Have you ever ordered take out food and when the delivery driver arrives he waits outside for you to magically appear? He does NOT bother to get out and KNOCK ON THE DOOR? No? Me either. That would make me angry because that's just plain inconsiderate. So, imagine how I feel when the delivery driver for Home depot does this very thing with my washing machine! And Home Depot refuses to send him back! Their only defense is that they called me a half hour ahead of time. This is true. But i was at work. Couldn't answer. They say that the driver will not knock if there's no answer to the call. HUH?!?! If you assume I'm not home because I didn't answer my phone, why arrive at all? Tsk tsk Home Depot. You know this makes Zer0 sense! Riddle me this Home Depot...am I supposed to sit staring out of my window for the entire 4 hour window? Am I then supposed to go chase every non marked white truck that pulls near my house assuming it's a Home Depot delivery truck (yes non-marked. No "Home Depot" sign on it)? On what planet is it acceptable to have drivers arrive at a location, sit for 5 minutes (they lied and said 15 minutes) then just leave? This can't even be cost effective for your company! We come here for basic hardware necessities and on one occasion even found a beautiful chandelier on super sale! If you don't know what you're looking for, expect to wait a long time for someone to help you. My biggest piece of advice to you would be not to come here for your Christmas tree. They don't look so sharp and they are somewhat small and scrawny. Not the best place to get in the Holiday spirit, trust me! read more

I went here around 6:30pm on a Friday. All I needed were cardboard boxes for moving, So I went to customer service, The lady directed me based on a tile display, no aisle numbers. I walked around for 10 minutes trying to find it, couldn't find any sales people, Finally I just left...I didn't have time to go back to customer service. Plus the whole reason I went to the desk first was so I wouldn't waste time, I might have done better never asking customer service and just walking around aimlessly...lol I don't recommend this place unless you just feel like sight seeing. Go to the Loews in Woodbridge, much better service. People will actually take you to what you're looking for, or give you aisle numbers. read more

My boyfriend and I had a surprisingly good experience at this Home Depot location. We drove all over looking for patin furniture at the end of the season and this store had the set we wanted but the only one left was the display model. We needed it to be disassembled so that it could fit in our rental back to Brooklyn - there was some annoying red tape to get through, but were told to come back in two hours and it would be ready. Two hours later, it was NOT ready, but a guy who I assume was the manager showed up at that exact moment and quickly grabbed a team of four other employees and some tools and they took the whole table set and chairs apart in ten minutes. They carried it all out to the car and loaded it up as well. The manager even offered to give us a matching chaise lounge for free, but alas, it wouldn't fit in the car. On top of that, he gave us the ratchet set on the house so the we would be able to put everything back together at home. Despite a little frustration, the employees here (I wish I remembered all of their names) and our experience were awesome. Thank you! read more

This is the first hd location I am aware of that opened near me and it shows. Lots of products don't have prices, have the wrong price or are simply up in rafters where you can't get them outside of getting someone to bring their forklift and bring it down for you. Employees area mixed bag, most ignore you, when you need assistance they mostly give you the feeling you are bothering them. I frequent this location more than the HD in edison because it is closer to my home and I don't want to carry materials farther than necessary. Same for Lowes which is just a bit up the highway. read more

I'm a new home owner, was always a Home Depot customer until I moved to this area and was disappointed on numerous occasions by this location. Trying to get help is a joke. I sat at the desk for a half hour in the doors and windows section after people radioed for someone to assist me. I even browsed the employees computer in hopes of drawing attention- nothing. That should have been my warning to leave. When I did get a chance to order my doors I was told I would have them in in 2 weeks (before Feb 14th). They came in March, and they came in wrong (the sales rep inputted the wrong swing). So they had to reorder the doors. When I called to complain the manager asked me "are you just trying to get money off?" I said excuse me? First off you didn't deliver on your promise and you messed up my order. I have a doorframe with exposed nails that is a hazard in my house, I need my doors. Finally they promised they would have the installers ready the day the doors came in, but then someone forgot to call them and that pushed me back another two weeks. The doors were installed end of April, finally. The install team provided by Home Depot was sloppy, leaving dirt everywhere on the doors and molding sticking out. When we filled out the online survey they deleted our feedback because we weren't at the install (my mother in law was because I couldn't take another day off for this). Went to LOEWS this weekend, got help right away. Looks like they will get my business from now on. read more

There are a mixed bag of employees here. I would say overall they are better than Lowes employees who definitely go out of their way to hide from you.... with the exception of Billy the manager at the flooring department. Billy G. is very rude and obnoxious and does not have customer service skills. I bought tiles from him (unfortunately the friendlier staff I dealt with in the past going over my kitchen flooring and cabinets were not there). Billy G. rung me up and did NOT offer me help whatsoever. I'm a petite 5'2" female & just purchased 8 boxes of hard ceramic tiles from him along with a specific shade of grout. I asked if he or someone can help me load the items into a cart but he said no since I didn't purchase the shipping. I asked him where the tiles and grout were but he just pointed out in the distance and said go look for it over there. I went to the general area and kept looking over and over. I even went to the other flooring areas but did not find them. I only found one box on display but clearly not 8 boxes available. I searched around for a worker and found Billy G again and he did not want to help me. He said the system says it's in stock so it's there. You just have to look for it. Finally I found another worker who was willing to help me. (I wish I could remember her name - older hispanic lady with glasses and shoulder length brunette hair also in the floor department. I think her name is Pilar? If I hear her name again I will remember it.) She was already off the clock and ready to go home but she took the time to help me and searched around the store with me and looked up the items in the system but it was nowhere to be found. She even took the time to walk me to the customer service desk and help me find another store nearby that had the 8 boxes of tiles available for me to pick up the same day. She showed a lot of care and compassion and true customer service. I know she was already off the clock and had someplace to go that evening yet she remained to help me for an additional good 30 mins off her non-paid time. She turned a miserable experience into an ok one. She deserves to be commended for her efforts and I hope the store manager rewards its good workers and retrains their bad ones. Billy G should NOT be the floor dept manager. He may be there for over 20 yrs or what however he seems to be a burnt out individual who forgot about customer service and that it's the customers who are the lifeblood of the store profits. He turned my all previously positive experiences at this Home Depot into a sour one. Before when I would go out of my way no matter what to go to this Home Depot for any item (cause Lowes is closer to me), I no longer have that same loyalty.
