I am in the real estate business, and I work with a lot of lenders on a daily basis... so when I say that Jason Ruedy is by far one of the best mortgage brokers I work with. I really mean it. I have closed one refinance with Jason Ruedy already, and I am in the process of closing my second one with him. On the first refinance my appraisal came back lower than I expected, and Jason took the time to pull more comps to send for the appraiser to revise his value on my home. Unfortunately no matter how hard Jason fought for me the appraiser wouldn't budge on his value. I greatly appreciated Jason spending the time to try to get with the appraiser to use more recent comparables that fit a value I believed my home was worth. In the end the appraiser did his job, and even though I felt my home was worth more with the comparables provided I am not the licensed appraiser. Even with that Jason was able to make the refinance make sense for me, and we got the deal closed with great ease! I have to say that I read the other review on here and have to laugh. Quicken loans is truly one of the worst lenders I work with, and they have some of the highest complaints online. Also, an appraiser cannot 'illegally' withdraw funds from anyone nor do you get to 'agree' on amounts with them. A mortgage broker gives you an estimated amount they believe will be charged for the appraisers service, but ultimately the appraiser determines the fee for their services as they are a third party vendor. They have to provide comparables to support the value. Using a Zillow amount without support is not possible. read more

In January 2016, I closed on the purchase of my newer condo - but not without being thoroughly disgusted with the lender over so many "hoops they made me jump through". After having sent them all the documents they requested (while waiting in a hotel) they required some of those same documents to be resent, and not just once, but over and over. Their "left" hand division never seemed to know what the "right" hand division was doing, so a lot of repetitiveness and lots of time wasted while I sat in the motel hoping my new condo would wait for me. Only a few months after finally closing, I saw an ad about Jason Ruedy with Home Loan Arrangers and noticed that their interest rates were lower than my "lowest rate possible" as stated by the lender I just closed with. In April, I contacted Home Loan Arranger and was told by Jason that indeed, he felt it was possible to refinance my "newly acquired" loan at a lower interest rate. I was able to close on my refi, with even a little extra money back, in June 2016 and came out money ahead! No problems, no worries! No duplicate information requests, no false promises; and every time I spoke with them, they were right on top of things. Just finished a VA mortgage refi with The Home Loan Arranger. We got a great rate and the only closing cost we had to pay was the VA funding fee. All other costs were paid by the lender. The documentation requirements were minimal (since it was a VA refi). I kept thinking throughout the process that it was too good to be true, that surely they were going to try to slip in some hidden charges somewhere. But I needn't have worried! Everything was exactly as advertised. Sonia, the loan processor, was a delight to work with. I wish everyone I had to deal with in life was like her. She responded to all of my inquiries promptly (within a few hours!), succinctly, courteously, and thoroughly. She was introduced to me at the beginning and I didn't have to deal with anyone but her. Everything happened the way she said it would, when she said it would. They even sent a mobile notary to our home in the evening to do the closing so we didn't have to go anywhere or take time off work. It could not have been easier. I first contacted Jason years ago to do a refinance and everything went smoothly. I just now closed on my second cash out refi with him and it was even easier to accomplish in a short period of time due to digital signing for all the necessary forms. It was especially easy because he had pretty much all my info from the first refinance that didn't change much.
