The honey bean is a super cute coffee truck right in the center of Junction, TX. There's no seating bc it's a truck but it's easy to swing by, grab something, and get back on the road. The menu was super fun, there were several things I wanted to try but I settled on their version of a pumpkin spice latte and it was absolutely delightful! It's got that "on the road" vibe to it, and the staff were super sweet. Definitely recommend if you're in or passing through Junction! read more

The Honey Bean makes a delicious latte with oat milk (good variety of milk selection). Much better and less $$ than The red truck was easy to find on Main Street in Junction. The barista was very cheerful, quick service and helpful. (We left a tip in carafe) Weather beautiful in this Texas town on a perfect fall morning! We will drive back by on the way home. read more

From the big cookies in the window to the free local newspaper to read while you're drinking your coffee. I love the honey bean coffee company. The service was amazing. There was only one person in front of me. It was very fast. Hear me out, when I say her coffee was better than Starbucks I mean it was WAYYY better than Starbucks coffee. The flavor was perfect and definitely not what I expected. I hardly ever leave reviews but The honey bean coffee and tea is worth taking time out of my day to leave a review. If you are ever driving by this town and think it's not worth the drive in to get some of her coffee you need to turn around and give it a try. Trust me it will be worth the drive. The customer service was exceptional and her location is the warmest and most welcoming place you will see. Sorry I didn't have cash to leave a tip because you deserved one. We drive into town just for this coffee and it's so worth it. Literally better than Starbucks. Fresh and exactly how you want it. They are very sweet and so worth supporting, too. She took the time to call her manager to see if her shirts were on sale before she rang us up, and they were so that prob saved me $10. She made a custom drink for my son, too. We've been stopping at this coffee shop on and off for several years, and it's a pleasant surprise in Junction, TX. Every time we pass through, we make it a point to stop! Their caramel lattes are our go to because they are not overly sweet, which is rare for coffee spots in small towns. It's clear they take their craft seriously, putting in the effort to make great coffee rather than just serving something generic. Beyond the coffee, their fresh baked pastries never disappoint. this is the best coffee ive had in san antonio, and ive tried sooo many new coffee shops around town. this place is so special. i got a spring special drink (honestly i dont remember the name) but i cannot stop thinking about it. the barista was super nice and helped me pick a drink since it was my first time. its a cute little truck with pastries and even coffee beans to take home. you need to try this place. i will for sure be back so soon read more

I was on my way to Fredericksburg and was going to wait to get coffee there but I'm glad a stumbled across this quaint coffee stand. I got a small size of some variation of The Graham. Why not support a small local, food truck entrepreneur? Enter Honey Bean Coffee and Tea in Junction. This cute little red coffee truck served up a most delicious mocha on my road trip to Big Bend. The young woman in the truck had a sunny, friendly disposition too! As great as every other review claimed. We stopped by for coffee and pastries: just the drip coffee and lemon blueberry muffins. First of all, the coffee was a deep roasted flavor (perfect!) and the muffins had loads of delicious blueberries. A great way to start our day! The server was lovely and friendly. read more

If you happen to be in the area or passing thru town and you miss your favorite coffee shop, stop by this food truck. The lady working when I went in November was able to make just about anything I wanted and even made a custom day drink for my daughter, who didn't want coffee. Not only that, but she had delightfully crispy and flaky apple and cherry popovers! read more

Stopped by this morning for some fresh coffee on our way west. And when I say this coffee was fresh, I mean it! I typically don't write reviews, but we loved the coffee here. The wonderful person serving us was very kind. Not just to us, but the previous customer before us. Giving directions and recommendations on a dusky early morning! When it was our turn we ordered from the menu and I loved the variety. What I really appreciated was that they went beyond my expectation and prepared one of our coffees exactly as was asked, going as far as pouring just the right amount of sweetener requested. Bonus points in my book because they had decaf ready to pour, not many places have decaf at the moment from my experience. TL;DR: Coffee is great, even the menu is fantastic to read! GRATEFUL they were open. On our road trip back from California to San Antonio we were desperately searching for a coffee house (Starbucks) and avoiding gas stations "coffee" since we left El Paso. Here we found this Gem with the cutest little establishment name. Let me tell you, it's the BEST Pumpkin Spice Latte I ever tasted. I've had plenty versions but this place outdid themselves. Was so excited to see that they were open this Monday morning! We were traveling through on our way to Fort Davis after a 2 night camping stay here in Junction. We had breakfast at Issacs next door and afterwards I went over to order a really good coffee!! Pumpkin Spice Latte! I was not disappointed! TOTALLY worth a stop! A godsend really, if you're looking for great coffee! We ate breakfast at the restaurant next-door (Isaaks-also great...) and we were so grateful to find such a perfect cup of coffee for the last leg of our trip. 5 stars! Great service! And perfect coffee! I was passing through and I usually go to Starbucks, but I really needed caffeine. I am so glad I stopped here. She made my gingerbread latte perfect! Half the syrup, at 120 degrees. Ugh, I know, I'm one of those people (eye roll). But she was way cool about it. And then I was super hungry, and asked her where to eat. She suggested bbq. When I got into my car, I opened it and it was full of ice and very little lemonade. I walked back and informed the lady in the trailer that I wanted less ice and more lemonade. They all looked at me like I had requested something outside of this wild and looked at each other. When she gave me the cup back, after supposedly taking half of the ice and more lemonade, but it was a little less ice but still not a lot of lemonade. I told her that I was leaving because I was running late. During driving, ate my two tacos and within 6 zips, there was no more lemonade but plenty of ice left. I was left thirsty (see photo) First and last time I stop there. If you do, ensure you tell them to not be cheap and give you what you pay when ordering lemonade!

The gas pumps are located a bit to close to the front of the store so that makes for traffic congestion between the store and the pumps. Parking itself is kind of tricky...I ended up parking of to the side of the store due to the amount of vehicles around the gas pumps. All in all I really loved my stop here and will definitely be making my go to stop if I drive thru here...

I like it because it brings alternative snacking opportunities for those on the go without time for stopping at a sit-down restaurant. Both the store and the restrooms are clean and well lit. Now perhaps I should give Gordo's four stars and separately rate the eating establishments which have outposts within. Sbarro's pizza is not bad, I've had worse. It's Starbucks that sticks in my craw. The local Starbucks is a franchise and Starbucks allows the owner to charge whatever he feels like charging for product that is much cheaper at a company store. Coffee is a full dollar more for a regular cup! Now that I know that, I will never buy coffee at the Junction Starbucks again but will instead get coffee in Kerrville at the company store on Sidney Baker. Don't get robbed, make your feelings known by shunning the franchise and maybe even getting your coffee in another part of the travel center!
