Custom pizza with house made dough
    Staci A.

Come support this lovely small business! They make their own craft beer, which is fantastic! The bread and pizza dough is also house made and so delicious! They have bread loaves for purchase to take home, which we did! They have a little coffee and sweet shop connected next door, with house made desserts. This trip we got a custom pizza with Italian sausage, onions and mushrooms, a Reuben sandwich and a couple amber ales. Follow them on Facebook to find out their live music schedule. They have outside seating and are pet friendly!

Overall a good experience We came close to closing but the man taking our order on the phone made our pizza order right at 8 and let us pay and eat there when we arrived which we appreciated. Pizza was okay honestly but the big winner was the amazing key lime cake. So decadent and yummy. If you come at night be sure to bring your bug spray especially in August you will be eaten up otherwise. Overall cool space to hang and glad we were able to stop by. Update- if you go back and order something they will add it back to your check but it will show as a tip. I was really taken aback when I got a notification that the tip was 9$. Just fyi

Stopped in after a long day of hiking at South Llano State Park. Because today was the Super Bowl it wasn't busy at all which is great for us! We ordered some beers (the Out of Season amber is fantastic), and some food (pizza, hummus and chips and salsa to share). Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was great, and service was awesome! We will definitely be back the next time we're in Kerrville!

I was surprised not more Elites had visited here more recently. Greek salad was much less satisfying than i had supposed. More of a side size than entree, but it paired well with the gigantic soft pretzel with cheese sauce. I left completely full! Ambiance was nice with outdoor seating available for Charlie (dog). Owner personally presented Mr Charles with a treat. Server was very hospitable, and refilled my beer order without my having to return to the counter. Which brings me to the missing star. I'm not a fan of returning to the counter to close my bill, order another drink, or anything else. I get it, when there's a crowd, and staff is short. Otherwise (which was the case) Just provide service. Don't charge $30 for a small salad, a pretzel, and two pints then expect gratuity. Because there was music....I'm giving back the star!

I really enjoyed my visit at Pint & Plow for a late morning pick me up! The shop itself is a lovely sight inside with the wooden interior, tall ceilings, and low lighting . There are plenty of seating options and a few groups were present working on laptops/whispering amongst themselves. I ordered the tiny 'ccino which had a strong, but pleasant coffee taste. Just how I like it! I don't recall any specialty drinks on the menu. I unfortunately didn't eat in the coffee shop itself, but there were a few good looking options if you're in the mood for a bite.

I really enjoyed this place! We were on a road trip and stopped in for lunch. The house made bread was excellent and the sandwich was perfectly toasted. In fact, everything on the plate was very tasty. My husband got a beer flight and didn't so much enjoy the beers. They're high alcohol and some were bitter, some were hoppy, but he didn't find any particularly good. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and there was a baby changing table available. Dogs are welcome outside if you keep them off the table. Staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're nearby.

10/10 would recommend. Great place with nice outdoor seating, and a medium sized menu. I got a pizza with Alfredo sauce and red onions, and the unique part was how they put the onions under the cheese. I'm not sure if that's actually uncommon, but it tasted great nonetheless. The food was worth the 10 minute wait, and I would go back if I lived in the area.

Stopped in after a 4 day camping trip. Cashier was super sweet considering I looked and smelled like trash I'm sure. Outdoor seating was cute and fun on this pretty spring day. Cacti on the table were real (sometimes it's the little things that impress). Reading about their history was entertaining while waiting for our lunches. They arrived within 5 minutes. Omg. My beet sandwich (no bacon) was amazing. It's true, like others have said, it alone is worth the visit!!! My Belgian-style saison was very good and only $6 a pint. They also offer fresh loaves of bread and fresh baked $1 cookies. Attached is their coffee house. Love this place! Check them out if you need a stop off 1-10.

There's inside and outside seating as well as bar. You enter and they hand you the menus. Despite the red neon order here sign right next to the entrance counter, it's not readily apparent that you do indeed order there. And I noticed it wasn't just us waiting for someone to come take our order as we waited. You seat yourself so unless they tell you directly to order at the counter you could miss it. So when the red neon sign finally clicked in my head, I went over to order. But while I was ordering two more parties came up and asked if they needed to order there. So maybe some more clarity up front outside the sign haha I ordered the Cali burger, my son had a burger, and they had a fajita special that his mom ordered. We also ordered a pretzel. Obviously being a pub they had beers. Non/alcoholic was a limited assorted of coke fair. Only unsweetened tea. No lemonade. Pretzel was soft and delicious. My son's mom loved the fajitas and the beans that came with them. The burgers were also really good. Bread nice and soft. Patties a good thickness. We all enjoyed what we had. No fries though. You get chips for your potato fix. The staff was also very friendly. It wasn't too loud in there and we were able to talk easily. If you're hungry don't pass them by.

Beware The "Pastrami Reuben"…read more I saw that hundreds of people on Yelp had reviewed Cibolo Creek Brewing and overall ratings were over 4 stars. I should have done a bit more reading and looking at the pictures. We stopped in on a mid-afternoon Sunday in early June. First impression upon entering through the front door was confusion. It was not really clear what the process was to order and get a seat. We approached the bar area and then noticed the "order here and seat yourself" signs. Several people came in behind us and so we felt a bit rushed to order. There were several craft beers on tap, but I was told I could not get a flight at the moment. I was able to get a taster, but with all the people behind me waiting to order, I didn't feel I had time to find out more about the beers before committing to a 16oz pour or lose my place in line. Shame on me for not doing my homework. We tried "The BEST Burger" and the "Pastrami Reuben", both with fries and two beers for close to $60 plus tip. The burger wasn't the best. It was sort of "meh". The homemade fries were good. The so-called Reuben was closer to a brisket sandwich than an actual Reuben. The meat was very mesquite-wood-smokey and then appeared to have been fried on a grill (definitely not steamed). It was very chewy despite being thinly sliced and had NONE of the flavor good pastrami has. The menu claims the meat is tri-tip, but tri-tip is known to be a tender cut. The meat on that sandwich was NOT tender. Cibolo Creek Brewery is in a great location (which sort of explains the prices) right next to the Cibolo Creek Trail and River Road Park and they do have a nice covered outdoor seating area with large family-style picnic tables. I may return to sample a few more of their beers and see if there is something I like better on the menu.

The brewery was the first place I ever had a scotch egg, my dad would get a small beer flight, maybe we'd get a brat, he made it fun. I'm pretty sure it had just opened back then. We got into town, checked in at the Trueheart Hotel, and immediately walked to the brewery because I was so excited. I probably went in to this with the unrealistic expectation that it would be the same as when I was a kid. It had a great start. The hostess was nice, and our server was, too. I wish we had gotten to sit in the back room with the long tables, We started with the beer flight and a scotch egg. The beer flight was okay. I was expecting really good German beers, mind-blowing, but these were just fine. A pale ale, an IPA, a flat porter were on the list, just not a memorable selection, although the red ale was good. The flight was a good price, though. For our appetizer, I wasn't expecting such a small scotch egg for $9. I mean, it was really small. I've been to several places around my area for scotch eggs, and they're usually $11-12 for two and they're properly sized. But we're on vacation and I wanted nostalgia so fine. It was delicious, and the creole mustard the scotch egg comes with was divine. More on that later. For our meals we tried both schnitzels. I was disappointed they don't have spaetzle, I'm pretty sure they used to. My boyfriend had the schinken and I had the jager. I don't like ham but his was infinitely better because of the gravy. The gravy on the jager schnitzel I got was heavy with some seasoning, maybe sage. It's all I could taste, and I couldn't just push the gravy off because my pork was fried to death. I barely ate any of mine. The sides we got (you get two per plate) were German potato salad, fries, onion rings, and vegetable medley. The fries and onion rings were great, especially when dipping in the creole mustard we saved from the scotch egg. The German potato salad is supposed to be sweet and sour and my boyfriend usually likes it, but this was way sweet, he wasn't a fan. The vegetable medley was good, but seemed really out of place as a side, normally with schnitzel you'd expect green beans or a salad or something, we got broccoli and squash. They did have a side salad, but it was $5. Not sure why a side salad couldn't just replace the two sides for no upcharge. I will say the rolls were awesome. At the end our server let us sit and hang out for a few minutes, he didn't rush us. We asked if they sell the creole mustard in bottles but they don't, so he said we could pay $5 for a togo container of it. We got probably a cup, so I was fine with that, I really loved it that much. We paid, I noticed he charged us $5 for tarter sauce that we didn't have, figured it was the only way to ring up the mustard. We left with our prized creole mustard. Cut to this weekend when we opened it to make a sandwich, and what we actually got was tarter sauce, so somewhere along the way he'd forgotten what we asked for. We live 200 miles from Fredericksburg, there's no fixing that, but maybe that's on me because I should have checked it. They really should sell bottles of that mustard, it's very good. Overall, it just wasn't the experience I was expecting. It's not the same, it's been over 30 years so I totally understand, and I did try to be fair with my critique. It wasn't great, it was just okay.

Since there are no business owner responses, the problems could be persisting. However, we've enjoyed our time here in the past so we thought we'd try it again. We got here at 5 pm on a Thursday and the place was mostly empty. That usually translates into better service and likely a better prepared meal as well. Sure enough, this theory was correct. We had two craft beers on the table within three minutes followed by Ruben fritters five minutes after that. The menu here is pretty simple with the expected German twist to it. We just stuck to a salad and burger. The salad was fresh and good, but the burger was pretty average and you have to add your own mayo and mustard. Even by adding cheese and mushrooms it still fell within the three star range and the fries were just OK. The beers were correct to style, but the hoppier beers were slightly tame. It's pretty much three stars overall, but the service was great so 31/2*. I'd still come back and try something else off the menu before the weekend and before 6.

For those that have issues finding parking on the Main Street, it's good to note that they have a small lot in the back for customers as well. Alstadt Peach Radler - Top of the list of what I personally enjoyed at the Auslander. This beer was a light, crisp, and refreshing beer with a hint of peach flavor. Definitely something to enjoy on a hot day. This was my happy place drink. Beer Battered Mushrooms - The shrooms here were better than most other German establishments I've dined at. Reasonably sized mushrooms with a non overly heavy batter. Portions were bigger than expected and would readily satisfy a group of four. Jägerschnitzel - A fair sized slab of fried pork goodness smothered in a red wine mushroom gravy. The pork loin was a good thickness and not an overly pounded thin cutlet. Breading was good, but didn't stick much to the protein. Gravy was just okay in my opinion and had a hint of sourness to it for some reason. Not a terrible entree but wasn't mind blowing either. Currywurst - The bratwurst with this meal was a solid portion of meat that was full of porky goodness. Curry ketchup had the spice flavoring to it, but wasn't particularly strong. It was a fair entree, nothing mind blowing, but still a good comfort dish. Sides - All the entrees came with a choice of two sides. Fries were just fries... good, but nothing special. Mashed potatoes tasted like the usual suspect, mashed potatoes. Potato salad was properly cooked and prepared with some simple vinegary and cream flavors. Red cabbage tasted like vinegared red cabbage. All in all, the sides were just okay. Everything was for the most part clear cut of what was good and just okay. In that terms, there seemed to be a strange and wildly large chasm between what was okay and good in terms of the food. I was satisfied at the end of the meal, but at the same time not unhappy nor super happy with my meal. I was just... satisfied/okay. Food felt a bit overpriced for what we received, otherwise this establishment felt more like a one-and-done type of place.
