After one bite, I found the enchiladas excessively soggy and the beans unappetizing and lacking flavor. The chips were satisfactory. Because I could not reasonably eat the meal, I went to the register and advised the employee that I would pay for the tea but would not be eating the food. Rather than receiving a professional response, another employee became involved and made a dismissive remark to me, stating, "Well, good luck with that." Shortly afterward, the cook/owner came from the kitchen and confronted me in an elevated and confrontational manner, demanding to know what was wrong with the food. When I attempted to calmly explain my concerns, I was interrupted and told, "I've served ALL THESE CUSTOMERS and YOU are the only one complaining." I found the yelling, dismissive comments, and confrontational behavior completely inappropriate. A customer should be able to express dissatisfaction with a meal without being publicly challenged, belittled, or made to feel intimidated. I am not giving a negative review simply because I disliked a meal. Taste is subjective. My concern is the business's handling of a legitimate customer complaint and the lack of professional customer service demonstrated during the interaction. 0/5 for food. 0/5 for customer service. 5/5 for giving me a story to tell.

The dudes kept calling out for her and we had to pry her away from them to get the check and pay. No- we didn't get any refills! The food was warm and pleasantly arranged on the plate but not anything I would write about and say.. .wow... that's great. It was average to below average in taste and portion size. The beans and rice were cold. I hate to judge a place on one experience- but it was a not a place I'll go back to. In general from what I know baked potatoes might include bacon and my friend doesn't eat bacon. The way she answered about it was such a turn off! We were about to have a full mean ended up opting to just try the Texas Spud and a side of onion rings since she recommended that The onion rings are old and inedible we left them. The Texas Spud when it came to the table I ended up having a full understanding of it by eating it. So basically it is a baked potato with chili on it (no meat) it feels it came from a can and cheese pickled jalapeño and sour cream decorated with tortilla chips around it. It was ok but I could say I have tried it. The restaurant itself is very old. I believe it is the oldest running restaurant in Bandera I got to see The John Wayne Room which is western-themed dining room. Decorated with memorabilia dedicated to "The Duke". Also they have a salad bar that looks like a wagon. Just take a picture of it from far away the veggies and everything in it looks very sad! Will I return to eat there? Definitely not! They served us our water and sweet tea in mason jars, which looked very nice, but the water was not pleasing to my taste buds as it tasted like unfiltered tap water.

We ordered a burger with only bun, cheese, and patty. Waited in the drive thru line for roughly 30 minutes for a drink, fries, burger, and medium blizzard. After all that time, the blizzard was half unblended and the burger had all veggies, yet no cheese on it. I immediately left an online complaint through the survey on the receipt. I just planned to call for a refund as soon as I wrapped up my weekend night shifts, if they didn't reach out to me first. However, when I called less than 72 hours after the initial transaction and spoke to their manager, he rudely said he "cannot and will not refund" the money as I haven't brought the food back to the store and didn't call within 48 hours. I apologized and tried to explain that I didn't know about a time limit, I live far away, and the 48 hour limit had just been passed. I understood that I had messed up by not knowing the company time limit and stuff, so I hung up after he was very rude the entire talk. I then remembered I made the online complaint the day of and hoped maybe he would be kinder if he knew I tried before. I called again, but he was even ruder the second time. The interaction was horrible, and I still won't be getting my refund from them. TL;DR The fries we could eat were mediocre, tasted slightly greasy unless doused in ketchup, blizzard was half blended, every topping we didn't want want on burger was there, yet no cheese in sight... very rude manager/customer service.
