We had SO much fun at The Hook in AC! I'd never seen a show in AC before, but I saw Spiegelworld's show Absinthe in Vegas and loved it. The talent in this show was top notch! There was singing, dancing, comedy, magic and circus acts. The humor is definitely raunchy, so if that's not your thing, I would skip this show. We loved the two hosts and all the various acts! We were in the third row on the side and could see everything. There really isn't a bad seat in the house! They also have cocktails and servers walking around, as well as a bar where you can walk up and order. We had espresso martinis and they were good, but not great. I would probably get a mixed drink next time. Also, at the end they gave everyone a discount code for a half off drink at Superfrico, which is the restaurant next door. When we tried to go right after the show, they were closed! We asked about the deal and they just said sorry, it's closed. We should have gotten a voucher or something to come back at a different time since it was not smart for them to offer this, and then be closed. Other than that, we had a fun night! There is no food service at The Hook, but you can have an amazing meal at Superfrico before the performance. They do serve drinks here before show time but the seats are so tight I do not know how that works if you are landlocked by others. When the show starts it is time to kick back and enjoy the spectacle. If you are seated anywhere with direct access to the stage (or even a seat in back) you either will or might be part of the show. So what is The Hook? It is part comedy, part magic, part acrobatic, part freak show, part burlesque, and part The Love Boat. Don't like some vulgar jokes (some with physical comedy thrown in), then don't get a ticket. Was it really that bad? There was one warm-up act I saw for Dave Chappelle once. I'm not going to mention any names, and I do not even know who her name was! It felt vulgar to just be vulgar. It was uncomfortable. It was not funny. The Hook, however, was a riot. If this sounds good, then book a ticket. Come here. Enjoy Superfrico for dinner too. Loved it. It's like the circus came to town without the animals. One talented act after the other. Performers were sensual without being sexual. Perfect balance of an interactive experience and staged shenanigans. The "captain" was absolutely amazing. Great rapport with audience as well as a confident, talented actor. GO SEE THIS SHOW! The Hook is a Vegas show that's made its way to Atlantic City (Caesars). It's a blend of acrobatics, burlesque, comedy, and debauchery. It was a full-on entertaining riot. We loved it so much we bought tickets to return next month when our friends come to visit. The performers were extraordinary! The theater is intimate, which really allows the audience to experience the acts. They even have cocktail service while you're enjoying the show. The Hook runs for an hour and 15 minutes, without intermission. Be sure to arrive early or at the very least, on time. You don't want to miss a second of it! this is my 3 rd time at the show; I love the show but this one was disappointing as the stunts were lesser than the last time. it was still very good but what was most annoying was that audiences members kept going to the bar during the performances and obstructing our ability to see performers. The food was great, but the show was kind of over. It had nothing to do with the fact of the orientation that was involved, but I was not expecting just how far the show would go. I got a last minute ticket to the show and decided to check it out. Really went in with no expectations or awareness of the show itself except o knew it was new and heard some good things. I thought the show was VERY humorous and funny. They read their audience very well. I laughed out loud a few times and I rarely do that. The talent is very good. I was very impressed with the jugglers who did skip a beat and were 100% on point during the show. The overall storyline is campy, but it works well for the location and timeframe. This is an ADULT variety burlesque act so go with an open mind. Leave your "uptight feelings" at the door or just stay home. Drinks in the theatre were good, the service was great. The theatre itself is small and personal. ANY seat in the house is a good one. There are no dead spots and they manage to keep your attention the entire time. The theater was really nice, sort of freak show tent meets mini Carnegie Hall. I was grooving to the tunes and pounding my drinks. Just then one of the cast members walked by me. "Excuse me, Miss, is this a Peter Pan story? Who plays the Dustin Hoffman role, or the Robin Williams part or the Julia Robert's character? Is it set in Never Land?" "Why no Sir, um, yeah, I don't know, uh, don't think so. I'll be back." Well, I just sat there in the front row and polished off my cocktails one after the other. And when the show started it was so funny. None of the characters on the poster were in the show and there wasn't any Captain Hook at all. I was happy to see some very good pole dancing action and Dick Marin was funny as all get out! There was a Captain though, but not Captain Hook, and she had a beautiful voice and wore pasties but was kinda mean. All in all, Hook was an enjoyable hour and fifteen or so. On my way out I did run into Ivy, my Casino Host. "Hey Foo, how'd you like The Hook?" Ivy asked as she handed me a comp voucher for Hell's Kitchen and a $250 free play ticket. The cast of the show were a delight. A lot of audience interaction. Grab a end seat towards the front if you love to be pulled on stage or get interaction from the cast of the show. Went to see one of the headliners playing in AC The Hook, which I saw last year around the same time but for my surprise, the show only ran a little over an hour scheduled for 90 minutes.Found it to be more entertaining last year with the masters of ceremony to be very funny and carrying the show with his raunchy humor.Dont get me wrong its worth seeing but able to comparing last year show with the current show was a bit of a let down. read more

OMG, this is the worst. It is a serious poor quality acrobatics show with vulgar nasty acts that humiliate and intimidate the audience. This show and the things that they do there need to be investigated by the gaming commission and the alcohol and tobacco commission because I think they're violating everything especially since they serve alcohol during the show!!. They actually came up to me and said you need to leave because your wife was inappropriate when one of the, people in the show pulled her up on stage and proceeded to sit on her and give a lap dance which she did not ask for or expect she or I did nothing wrong and the audience members that I interviewed said they didn't think anything was wrong. The whole thing was a scam and I don't know why, but I don't care which there were three other lap dances they did to audience members as this inappropriate cast member went out into the audience and gave to both men and women who apparently were totally surprised by it and they looked very repulsed as it was totally unsolicited by the audience members. Security came and told me I had to leave because the entertainer felt that he was being treated inappropriately. I never experienced anything like this in my life. Security came and could not answer my question as to what exactly happened and do you have it on camera I asked as everything in casinos is on camera. Maybe they detected that I was very repulsed by the show and didn't like what was going on. Wanted to silence me I guess They said no you just have to leave. We actually questioned people when the show was over outside in the hallway and they said we saw nothing inappropriate at all and just saw this man sitting on your wife's lap and whispering in her ear and I don't have any idea what the hell he was doing. When I asked security for what the problem was they said that's what the cast member felt. The cast member never left the stage. He was laughing and giggling, like an idiot Scantilly clad in very short shorts and that was all he had on jumping on audience members the whole time, the real question is, why didn't Security stop him from doing what he was doing, which was totally inappropriate maybe because they knew they would get in trouble so pick on the audience as they did .They could not explain to me why they were asking me to leave and I did after letting them know how I felt and then they cut the show short by half hour guess why? They were absolute jerks. Caesars hotel were jerks. The place is terrible. Don't go whatever you do spend your money on something else. The show totally sucks and the people there are arrogant and nasty and it's not cheap. The place was also about a quarter full hello I wonder why? I've been going to shows for many years in all different places. I've grown up during the disco era. I've been to a lot of places, never saw anything like this actually, the stuff that they did there was more inappropriate than probably some places that you could just imagine. I will never go to Caesars and I will never go back to Atlantic City again the place is done. it's really gone downhill.
