While the owner, Eric, tries to hide behind his beard(Best Beard in Bothell "BBB"), his love of craft beer and canines is evident! The interior is small but cozy. I LOVE this place (and am only slightly jealous that they pretty much are running my dream business). Dog friendly, out door patio, lovely (but small) indoor space. 2 fridges - one with cans & some bottles of beer. The other with some fancier bottles of beer & wine. They also have a growler fill station. We met Lauren who was VERY nice, understood her product & a great salesperson! She let us know that their beer selection changes fairly rapidly. Love this place- great selection both on draft and in package with super reasonable prices. We paid $20 plus a tip for 2 beers. This is not Safeco Field, is it? The outdoor seating area is a parking lot with a party tent over it and a fence surrounding a few picnic tables. This place is great for beer lovers (and cider, to a lesser degree). Although there are only 11 beers (and one cider) on tap, the selection tends to be all about the unique and/or more rare beers. You can also grab anything from the coolers and take with you or open there (for $2 extra). The prices are a little high, but I think their hard to find selection is their justification. Some reviews have mentioned too many IPAs, but I haven't found that to be the case. I think they have a reasonably broad selection. There are very few bars that will carry three Pilsners (for example)(unless they have 50 taps). I give 4 stars because their space can be cramped and when they're busy, you can't wait in line for a while (crushed up with a bunch of people). Other positives are the weekly food truck, music selection, Seahawks games during the season, dog-friendly. read more

This was my 1st time here w/my husband- people had raved about it. The beer is good. However- the Customer Service is awful and entirely unprofessional. My husband and I were holding hands and laughing close with our foreheads together on a relaxing weekend afternoon and the manager on duty, a dark haired woman maybe late 20s with a piercing between her nostrils --walked outside and rudely (in front of everyone) said "Can you tone it down; you're making people feel uncomfortable" & walked back inside. I will never go back here b/c of that incident. I thought it was completely out of line, unprofessional and horrible customer care. This woman should have walked up to us and privately, shared her request /thoughts, and left it at that. To do so publicly was rude, humiliating and absolutely unprofessional in everyway. read more

Dropped in here to get some work done and have a couple beers. I was absolutely blown away by the IPA I had from Stillwater. The bartender spent a couple minutes explaining to me the brewing process and story behind it and I appreciate that a lot. I'll be back often, but the WIFI was non-existent on the patio. This is exactly what I have been waiting for in Bothell- a cool little simple bar with an awesome patio in walking distance. The owners are super friendly and you can tell they love what they're doing and love Bothell. The beer selection is great, both in the case and on tap! I ended up with a bottle of Peddler Tangerine Wheat- 4.50 +2 to drink at the bar - but I got almost 2 beers out of the bottle, so not too shabby! My significant other and I recently got a new puppy and moved to the Bothell area. As new members of the community as well as new pet owners we are constantly on the hunt for places to go and things to do with our pooch! I came across The Hop and Hound on bringfido.com so we headed that way on a warm Friday night. This place is seriously amazing!! It's so laid back! They truly are dog people and were so great as soon as we walked in the door greeting our 4 month old puppy Lilly with a dog bone (with first a request for her to sit first, love that, training first!) and then happily taking our beer order. The outside area is awesome and the people that frequent this bar are as equally awesome. I was so exciting about their monthly news letter and all of the fun activities they have that allows us to bring Lilly along to play and socialize with other dogs. I can't wait to go back! read more
