Searching for a place to relax, have a meal (after working under tents for their Western Days all day in the cold blistery wind weather), we decided to visit Horseshoe Saloon, only to tell us: we go outside (pointing that way) to ORDER our food (from two food carts), and bring them back to eat inside - if we want, or eat outside. We went outside (back in the cold wind), and found no one in both food trucks. We also don't feel like this is the type of food, we want for dinner, since we ate from a food cart, during my event! We couldn't find the exit, back to our parked vehicle, since we're inside a locked-in coral, so we have to go back inside the bar, where people were staring at us, that we didn't order food or drink, to go back to our vehicle. Sadly, today at 4:40pm on a Thursday afternoon we were confronted by an angry, aggressive drunk who stood at the bar yelling at us. Then approached our table yelling about masks. We sat at the table with masks in hand but had not yet donned them. This bearded man wearing a filthy white tshirt was not at all deterred by the waitress behind the bar or the cooks behind the counter. He held a whiskey on the rocks. Guess we were expectingbetter. Last night I went to The Horseshow Tavern and after getting to the bar I ordered a Shot of Tequila and a Dr. Pepper. I was told by the Bartender they had to put water in the shot of Tequila. I thought that was strange and I asked why? He said they just had to because of OLCC rules. I asked if I could have the water on the side and he said no. I said never mind; I will just take the Dr. Pepper. Later I made a post on the Prineville Information page on Facebook giving information out to the community so they do not waste their gas or time, "I went to the Horseshoe Tavern tonight and they water down their drinks, I will not be back". After this happened the normal happened on Facebook and I was attacked like I gave out false information, while so many were defending the bar stating the old owners were to blame for the state of Oregon making them add water to the hard liquor. I was litterly verbally attacked by people of this community, (NOT all of them). The next day the whole post was deleted, and I got a warning from the group admin. I did not realize this until a friend reached out to me with some screen shots of the owners threatening me, Cody and Chris Suing. They own The Horseshoe, Wranglers, and Sons of Beer. I cannot believe that the owners of this establishment would stoop to the level threatening me or any person for only posting the truth and only posting what they are apparently required to tell everyone asking for a shot. By the way, I cannot find anything stating the State makes Businesses water down their drinks. I will be calling the state on Monday. I will not go into their establishments again and any get togethers I have will be somewhere else. I would not recommend anyone going there, speaking the truth will get you threatened. read more

Apparently if you are not a local, You can get a drink but don't expect even the kindest of conversation. The bar tender was so involved in a very personal conversation with folks who were very obviously regular, that I was ignored the whole time i was there that I felt like I was the step child no one talks to at thanksgiving. Nope wont recommend to my full construction crew coming in to work and spend their money for the next two years. Thank you Horseshoe for showing your true colors right off the get go. Great breakfasts/brunch food! The staff is great about doing their best to make sure they get you exactly what you want. I called once with a bit of an odd request and the gal on the phone didn't bat an eye. Not only were they willing to attempt my weird craving, they bent over backward to make sure they did it right and I have to say that they absolutely nailed it. Now that I think about it, I'm craving their brunch again. read more

The Horseshoe Saloon is definitely more of a dive bar but that is just the way we like em. We arrived here on a Sunday morning, driving around town looking for somewhere to have breakfast that also had patio seating. They have a huge patio so there was absolutely no problem. We entered to a clean bar with tables off to the side with some people that had just arrived for dinning as well. We ordered some drinks at the bar then went out to the patio to look at our menus. We had our choice of any table! They also have lots of umbrellas outside at the tables which is nice cause it was sunny. We enjoyed our bloody Marys and coffees and then ordered some food. The breakfast menu is simple but if you are expecting some spinach avocado eggs bene go somewhere else. We ordered an omelette and a biscuit gravy plate. The food came out after a bit and we enjoyed about half of our food because they did not skimp on the portions. I had another beverage then we paid and went on our way. The bartender working was a young blonde woman who was so friendly and seemed to be working really hard. We appreciated her service. read more

It has a real cowboy dive bar feel to it equipped with slot machines, a pool table, and an old fashioned bar. The service was great and very fast. The menu options were were typical bar food and not to extensive. I had a Rueben sandwich with a side salad and it was good but not exceptional. After driving three hours to my friends bridal shower ( June 23, 2018) we went to this place were someone said I was pregnant ( which I am not) and the bartender was rude and disrespectful as a 2 year old child learning there words! I am from out of town and only knew a couple people ! The people I came in with and granted I am a fat chick but I could of been asked not cut off because some wayward person who doesn't even know me accused me of being pregnant. I am hurt and was very disrespected that I would be accused of drinking while pregnant and I know I'm fat and yes I am working on losing it ! So thanks for letting a woman know she is ugly and not wanted ! I just wanted to have a nice fun night with my friends for a BRIDAL shower !!! Poor service and customer service ! The sign said breakfast served all day. Sounded like a good place for breakfast. Breakfast was mediocre but standard. Coffee was tasteless. Waitress was pleasant. What turned us off is how dark it was inside. That compounded by gambling machines ringing loudly with little old ladies feeding coins they probably could not afford. read more

Gross breakfast. Weak coffee, poor service. The biscuits tasted like the were microwave from the freezer and the toast wasn't even toasted. An employee went out to smoke, came back and didn't wash her hands. Never again!!! read more
