I'm going to start this off by saying the only other hotel casinos I've stayed at happened to be in Las Vegas so...anyway I'm only rating the hotel experience. To start off the room was dirty, there was either blood or ketchup on the dresser, they didn't have a fitted sheet on the bed, one ply toilet paper, and don't get me started about the shower that was clearly straight out of an old folks home. Needless to say I cut my stay short at the hotel, but thank god for Airbnb. They saved my weekend getaway to Canada.

Located across the street from the River Rock casino. It's a decent hotel, it's clean and quiet. Nothing overly special or fancy. You can use the pool and fitness Center located across in the River Rock casino side. The pool has a water slide. The pool was a bit too cold, and the hot tub was too hot. I wasn't too impressed. Included in the package we had, was 2 appetizers at Crave lounge ( see separate review) as well as a suite upgrade. It was supposed to be free, instead she said it was 40$ extra - we passed. It also included a casino coupon to spend 25$ and get 50$ of free play. There was confusion on this as it stated up to 100$ per person per day. This caused a bit of a hassle. But it got figured out in the end. The staff left a bit to be desired. Although they spoke English, at times when discussing us, they chose to speak in a different language. We found this to be extremely rude and inappropriate. They also tried to charge us for a full day for a late check out - who does this ? My husband went and spoke to them and it was quickly cleared up. I really highly doubt I would stay here again. The rate we had was really good, and that along with the other incentives we were supposed to get, were the reason we came in the first place. They shouldn't offer packages if they aren't prepared to honour them. Unlike most other hotels that go out of their way to make you happy, and if there is an issue they make it right. This hotel staff went out of their way to say "no" If I was to ever stay there, I would definitely stay at the resort side instead.

    Comfy bed!

The Hotel at River Rock Casino is located across the 4th floor Skybridge from the main casino. We previously thought the hotel was inside the casino itself. Lucky for us since The Hotel is very nice, with super-comfortable beds (soft pillow, firm mattress) and great views of the river in Richmond, B.C. Like the casino, the location of this hotel is great since its an easy walk to the Richmond Night Market on weekends and excellent dim sum next door at Sea Harbour. Free wifi is also a big plus. Only minor downside is that they charge for bottled water and they don't have many outlets for charging your gadgets. We also got woken up by a real loud fire alarm at 1 am last night. Thank goodness I didn't smell smoke and it was a false alarm, since it would be brutal to walk down 11 flights of stairs to evacuate!

How did Housekeeping miss this big item when supposedly CLEANING the room?

** WARNING** See Photos... We Arrived March 5th 2023 and first thing we seen was the DISGUSTING FILTHY DIRTY UNWASHED CUPS (SEE PHOTOS) so we couldn't even Relax with a hot cup of tea after our Horrible Slippery Slushy drive down from Kelowna. Then, needing a bathroom break, I almost puked from the Horrendous SMELL of URINE that's Obviously caused by Housekeeping NOT CHANGING OUT their Cleaning Cloths!! And, later on, when I went to pull my sheets down to go to bed, my foot happened to kick something along the beds edge and lord behold - there's a Benylin bottle laying there on the floor! I Don't know HOW Housekeeping missed a big object like that?!? But, after finding the bottle of Cough Syrup, I decided to get my bed ready and boy was I SHOCKED at what I seen - There's a DISGUSTING PUBIC HAIR intertwined in Fuzz, plus STAINS on my SHEETS!! (See Attached photos) So, After finding/seeing all this, I decided to investigate further to see how DISGUSTING and UNCLEAN just my bedroom alone is, especially since we Paid for a 2 Bedroom Suite! All of the following FILTH (in the first 15 attached Photos) is coming from just 1 of the bedrooms... Housekeeping does an absolutely HORRIBLE and POOR job of Cleaning and Vacuuming as you will see by all the GRUB, FILTH and DUST BUILDUP on the Carpet from Under the night stands to Along the Edges of the bed and even inside the little closet. I am beyond DISGUSTED and APPALLED at how FILTHY this River Rock Hotel is in Richmond BC CANADA... Especially after my kids booked the 2 room Suite so they could treat me to a Vancouver CANUCKS Game against the Nashville Predators on March 6th 2023... River Rock Hotel, you really have gone DOWNHILL in the CLEANING/HOUSEKEEPING Department!! This room might as well be a room within the Super 8 or a Motel on Skid Row bcuz that's how DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY and STINKY it is!!! I might even go investigate the other bedroom now just to see how FILTHY that room is and post a 2nd review... So, I checked out a bit of the rest of the remaining rooms and the last 8 of the Attached 23 Photos are from the Main Area and also from the 2nd Bedroom showing you just how DISGUSTINGLY Dirty and extremely DUST ridden this River Rock Hotel is! SHAME ON YOU RIVER ROCK HOTEL IN RICHMOND BC CANADA... Maybe I'll leave more reviews on other websites attaching these photos of your FILTHY Hotel only because people really Need to Know the TRUTH regarding the FILTH, the UNCLEANLINESS and the NON SANITARY Practices of your Housekeeping Staff within your River Rock Hotel rooms and suites. *BTW, the FILTH and URINE STENCH that's in this Double Suite is inside ROOM 687...*

Worst hotel I have ever been. Slowest WiFi in the hotel. No signal for phone. You can't do anything except sleep during the night. I have to check my emails and have video conferences but the WiFi is totally useless. If you need to use internet during your trip, stay away from this place. The only thing good is that there is a casino down the stairs.

    Built in bed lights.

Wow, this is a great hotel! Just as nice as I thought it would be, with awesome unexpected touches/features. The hotel has its own lobby & front desk, or you can also check in across the street at the River Rock Casino Hotel, which is connected by a walkway bridge. Security is good, as you need to scan your room key in the elevator to get to your floor & a special code is necessary to get access to the hotel guest parking area. Self parking on the casino side, however, was pretty dingy & dark. There's also valet on both sides. The indoor swimming & jacuzzi pools (open till midnight) are fun, esp. the slide! Went late night swimming, so we could slide without competing w/kids. Lol! Pools are located in the casino bldg. & although not freezing cold, the main pool is not heated. Other features we loved: Espresso maker & comp espresso in room, mini fridge, plush robes, electronic do not disturb feature, newspaper outside rm every morning, super comfy beds (omg), lge flat screen tv, electronic safe, built in bed lights, nice toiletries & oversized bathroom. Also, to conserve energy, they have you insert room key into a slot for the lights, tv, etc. to go on. Once you remove the key, everything shuts off. How cool!

From staff at checkin to housekeeping staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful. While the lobby is very small and unassuming, their rooms are not very big, but they have plenty of character and everything you need. Our housekeeping lady knew our schedule and was so helpful and mindful of when we would go out. She saw that we had 2 small kids in our room and left an extra carafe of water with an extra glass. This was such an awesome touch. pros: Proximity to YVR Lots of good Asian food and stores nearby Shuttle to YVR Complementary valet service Small gym but they have a full set of dumbbells, a few kettlebells, a cable machine, 2 Peloton bikes, a couple of treadmills, 2 benches, a workout mirror, jump ropes, foam rollers, weights balls, and mats. I have seen smaller gyms at bigger hotels and "gyms" that had nothing but mats and a few miscellaneous items. Rooftop pool and jacuzzi that is not crowded Quiet rooms- the only morning my sleep was interrupted was on Monday at 8:20 ish during delivery of items. Otherwise, I never heard my neighbors, planes, nor elevator noise. 2 fluffy robes and 2 slippers in rooms. The Red Flower toiletries were great and smelled wonderful! The bath salts and soaking tub was so relaxing Cold towels in gym cons: I prefer self parking since we come and go several times a day but we just opted to park in the private lot attached to the building and paid their daily fees No ice machine but staff will bring you some upon request The pool area was very clean and everyone was respectful of picking up after themselves. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the nice touches that only boutique hotels offer.

Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on an overnight trip with my family to Richmond and Vancouver. It is located within the Riverport entertainment complex in Richmond, which is away from the main part of Richmond. The hotel is relatively small as there are only a few floors. Check-in was slow as there was one person at the front desk and a somewhat long line. Once checked in, I was able to park in the lot behind the hotel. Unlike the other Holiday Inn locations, parking is free here. We stayed in a comfy double bedded room, which had a mini fridge and microwave inside the room. There is a free daily hotel breakfast available downstairs and the selection was better than expected. Offerings include pancakes, eggs, sausage, baked beans, cinnamon rolls and rice. The hotel also has recreational facilities as there is a pool, fitness centre and a fenced basketball court outside. I really like this location as it feels quiet and secluded. You do not hear much street traffic in this area at night, which is a huge plus. It is preferable to have a car as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. However, taking public transportation is doable as there are nearby bus stops along Steveston Highway. I would consider staying at this hotel again if I am doing another overnight trip up to Richmond and Vancouver due to room comfort and its amenities.

It was not open on the weekdays of my stay, but is an easy walk from the hotel during market hours. The location is incredibly convenient, a short walk to Aberdeen Centre, a three-level Asian shopping mall with a great food court, and within walking distance of many excellent Asian restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisines.
