We stayed here for three nights in a row! The room is gargantuan! I love the layout of the room. We stayed in room 780 on the west side and it had a separate king sized bed that had doors that could be closed for privacy and noise. Inside that room, there was a closet and television along with outlets on each side of the bed. I unplugged the phone because we had an infant and didn't want to be suddenly disturbed. Outside of the above-mentioned room, there is a hallway with its own closet, a restroom with a huge bathtub, a living room with a couch, television, Nespresso coffee machine, hot water machine, a desk, refeigerator, and another smaller loveseat. You can imagine how large the space is from this description, right? I didn't love that the restroom had an odd smell to it all the time, but hey, it's a restroom! Also, for a place with two of everything, it may have made sense to have the master bedroom have a smaller restroom with a standalone shower. I paid the extra $99 CAD for a 4 p.m. checkout but was practically rushed out by three staff members trying to eject me outside of my room by 3:50 p.m. ugh, I've got an infant, give us a moment! Free parking is available in a multi level parking garage for those willing to walk past what appeared to be the smoking lounges of the attached casino...ew. Valet is incredibly expensive. I just couldn't justify shelling out $21CAD to valet it each night. The walk was good for me anyway. All in all, this is highly recommended! Very responsive to emails and phone calls, too! Took care of our request for a baby crib without issue. At this price point, however, they better be darn good! read more

Our 2nd stay here from past visits to the Richmond area. Location is good with free parking. The room walls are little thin as I could hear the drunk woman next door talking and singing to herself the first night. The real nightmare is the errant charges that continue to be added to our room account. They have added daily resort fees even after charging the the entire stay. Daily visits to the front desk with different staff did not resolve this issue so we finally chose to call our credit card company and flag the charges. read more

We enjoyed our stay here at the River Rock. The accommodations are a little dated but still really nice and comfortable. The room was fairly clean. We had everything we needed for a good nights rest. The refrigerator didn't really work inside the unit. It wasn't really cold. We really liked the location and the free parking. Also, we really loved the pool at the River Rock. The pool is located a little away from the hotel but I liked that it was tucked in the back because you don't hear the noise from the pool. The pool had a slide and was so much fun. we stayed at this hotel from April 25 to 28. Nice room and bathroom. My only comment is the shower. There are no soap holder in the shower or a shower caddy where you can put the toiletries. If you are A Sr. Citizen you'll break your back when picking up the soap or shampoo on the floor. The room I was talking about is room 611 at the east tower. Please repair the bathroom there before accident happen. Also in our stay there, no single house keeper ask us if we wanted our room cleaned. read more

Located across the street from the River Rock casino. It's a decent hotel, it's clean and quiet. Nothing overly special or fancy. You can use the pool and fitness Center located across in the River Rock casino side. The pool has a water slide. The pool was a bit too cold, and the hot tub was too hot. I wasn't too impressed. Included in the package we had, was 2 appetizers at Crave lounge ( see separate review) as well as a suite upgrade. It was supposed to be free, instead she said it was 40$ extra - we passed. It also included a casino coupon to spend 25$ and get 50$ of free play. There was confusion on this as it stated up to 100$ per person per day. This caused a bit of a hassle. But it got figured out in the end. The staff left a bit to be desired. Although they spoke English, at times when discussing us, they chose to speak in a different language. We found this to be extremely rude and inappropriate. They also tried to charge us for a full day for a late check out - who does this ? My husband went and spoke to them and it was quickly cleared up. I really highly doubt I would stay here again. The rate we had was really good, and that along with the other incentives we were supposed to get, were the reason we came in the first place. They shouldn't offer packages if they aren't prepared to honour them. Unlike most other hotels that go out of their way to make you happy, and if there is an issue they make it right. This hotel staff went out of their way to say "no" If I was to ever stay there, I would definitely stay at the resort side instead. read more

I'm going to start this off by saying the only other hotel casinos I've stayed at happened to be in Las Vegas so...anyway I'm only rating the hotel experience. To start off the room was dirty, there was either blood or ketchup on the dresser, they didn't have a fitted sheet on the bed, one ply toilet paper, and don't get me started about the shower that was clearly straight out of an old folks home. Needless to say I cut my stay short at the hotel, but thank god for Airbnb. They saved my weekend getaway to Canada. read more

The Hotel at River Rock Casino is located across the 4th floor Skybridge from the main casino. We previously thought the hotel was inside the casino itself. Lucky for us since The Hotel is very nice, with super-comfortable beds (soft pillow, firm mattress) and great views of the river in Richmond, B.C. Like the casino, the location of this hotel is great since its an easy walk to the Richmond Night Market on weekends and excellent dim sum next door at Sea Harbour. Free wifi is also a big plus. Only minor downside is that they charge for bottled water and they don't have many outlets for charging your gadgets. We also got woken up by a real loud fire alarm at 1 am last night. Thank goodness I didn't smell smoke and it was a false alarm, since it would be brutal to walk down 11 flights of stairs to evacuate! read more

** WARNING** See Photos... We Arrived March 5th 2023 and first thing we seen was the DISGUSTING FILTHY DIRTY UNWASHED CUPS (SEE PHOTOS) so we couldn't even Relax with a hot cup of tea after our Horrible Slippery Slushy drive down from Kelowna. Then, needing a bathroom break, I almost puked from the Horrendous SMELL of URINE that's Obviously caused by Housekeeping NOT CHANGING OUT their Cleaning Cloths!! And, later on, when I went to pull my sheets down to go to bed, my foot happened to kick something along the beds edge and lord behold - there's a Benylin bottle laying there on the floor! I Don't know HOW Housekeeping missed a big object like that?!? But, after finding the bottle of Cough Syrup, I decided to get my bed ready and boy was I SHOCKED at what I seen - There's a DISGUSTING PUBIC HAIR intertwined in Fuzz, plus STAINS on my SHEETS!! (See Attached photos) So, After finding/seeing all this, I decided to investigate further to see how DISGUSTING and UNCLEAN just my bedroom alone is, especially since we Paid for a 2 Bedroom Suite! All of the following FILTH (in the first 15 attached Photos) is coming from just 1 of the bedrooms... Housekeeping does an absolutely HORRIBLE and POOR job of Cleaning and Vacuuming as you will see by all the GRUB, FILTH and DUST BUILDUP on the Carpet from Under the night stands to Along the Edges of the bed and even inside the little closet. I am beyond DISGUSTED and APPALLED at how FILTHY this River Rock Hotel is in Richmond BC CANADA... Especially after my kids booked the 2 room Suite so they could treat me to a Vancouver CANUCKS Game against the Nashville Predators on March 6th 2023... River Rock Hotel, you really have gone DOWNHILL in the CLEANING/HOUSEKEEPING Department!! This room might as well be a room within the Super 8 or a Motel on Skid Row bcuz that's how DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY and STINKY it is!!! I might even go investigate the other bedroom now just to see how FILTHY that room is and post a 2nd review... We stayed here for one night, a last minute decision. The first room we had was a king room which was really tiny. Unfortunately, it also smelled like sewer. So we called and were able to get a room on the next floor up, 2 queens. This room was not only bigger, but had a better view and no smell. When we booked, I thought I was actually booking across the street at the resort, but it turns out those rooms are only suites. Booking online, this was not clear. The hotel was kind of far from other things, but we managed to find a great place for dinner! read more

RiverRock Resort and Casino The cheapest hotel and poorest customer service I have ever experienced. Spent two nights was was charged more than the rate they advertised in their own casino. Failed to replace used bar of soap. Cheap shower curtain in tiny rooms. Took a week after them finding my glasses where I told them to look three times, before they called to request a credit card for postage to return them. Also failed to honor a $5 food coupon they issued for being green in the room due to their own typo on their coupon! We both got a mild case of norovirus at their buffet which also set a new low for poorest quality ever on a pricey meal. Canada is no Vegas read more

I really enjoyed this hotel as it was elegant from the lobby and all the way through to the rooms. The place was kept immaculate and very clean with modern furnishings throughout. The room size was adequate for the both of us and didn't seem all that cramped, but if you had more than two people it would be. The room itself felt cozy even with all the new furnishings and the most advanced tech of any hotel I've ever stayed at. They require you to put your room card in a card holder to keep the lights and electricity on so as to conserve energy whenever you leave your room. They also have a feature where you can let housekeeping know electronically of your privacy status and if you need to have housekeeping to clean up your room with a touch of a button. The climate control was easy to navigate and you can get your room cooler or warmer with ease. The bed was nice and comfy as I didn't have any trouble falling asleep after a long day of going around and travelling. Even though I was expecting one with a sleep number bed which I read about from here, the one we had was just fine without it. The bathroom was a good size with nice soft lighting and had a good shower too. The parking here was safe and secure as they have their own private garage area which can only be accessed by a security code during check-in. The location was very close to the Skytrain which could be seen from our bedroom and was easily accessible. It was also close to the Richmond Night Market and was close enough to even walk there in about 5 minutes. If you are going to the casino across the street, they have a skybridge connecting the two locations. Overall a great first time staying here even though I've been to the casino before and if ever I will be visiting the night market again, this would be my choice to stay at. We didn't have time to visit the pool area, but it looked great and something to look forward to next time. read more

Worst hotel I have ever been. Slowest WiFi in the hotel. No signal for phone. You can't do anything except sleep during the night. I have to check my emails and have video conferences but the WiFi is totally useless. If you need to use internet during your trip, stay away from this place. The only thing good is that there is a casino down the stairs. read more

What a great experience! Hotel was gorgeously appointed, the room was cozy and the bathroom very nice. We went for a romantic getaway and weren't disappointed at all. The view was great, the staff were helpful and once in the rooms, we didn't hear a peep from anyone in the hallways. The hotel itself is across the street from the resort/casino, there's a walkway so it's not even weird to wear the plush robes over your suit to the pool. I'm a big fan of another Rock- The Red Rock in Vegas- and this reminded me of a smaller scale of it for sure. Best of all, Skytrain is literally right outside the door. Park your car and leave it, you won't need it to get right into the city and really enjoy yourself. I can't wait to come back with the little one, she's going to love that pool area! read more

What a beautiful hotel! From start to finish it was a very positive experience. PROS: Service: Our room was ready before our check in time so we were able to check in early (bonus). The staff at check in was friendly and very informative about the hotel. We ordered room service and our server was very sweet. Since we had a large order, they did forget one of the dishes but they were apologetic and fixed that mistake right away. Ambiance/ Hotel: The hotel is located along the Fraser River. The hotel is quietly elegant with a nice contrast to the hustle/bustle of the attached casino. The room was fabulous and very eco friendly. The soft furnishings were clean and the tables, beds, couch were all quite modern. We stayed in a two queen standard room. The room was equipped with a Nespresso machine, coffee pods, a tea kettle, a mini fridge, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion/soap, a shower cap and two robes in the closet. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were a little too soft for me. The hotel was very secured. There was a separate parking lot with a keypad activation. The hotel key was needed to access the elevators. I love that there was an indoor pool with a slide and a hot tub. That was a huge bonus to our stay. CONS: Casino: The casino was rather small. My friends attempted to gamble but there wasn't enough space on any of the tables. Cleanliness: The only thing that wasn't clean was the toilet. It had a small stain on the seat. I stay here often for work, but the last few times have been off-putting. There has been hair on my shower walls when I've checked in (twice), dirty bathroom countertops and a tub that won't drain. The staff can be either super friendly of extremely curt. This last visit, I was waiting to get on the elevator and when the door opened, the housekeeping woman was getting off when her mop handle fell forward and hit me on the head. Obviously not a huge deal, it's a mop handle, not a bat, but she didn't even acknowledge it even though she clearly saw it happen. If anything, she looked angry that I was in her way. Definitely not what it used to be, and definitely not my first recommendation. read more

My friend and I went to a concert (Melissa Etheridge!) and stayed at the hotel. We got the show, hotel stay, buffet breakfast deal and it was reasonable considering the amenities. We came from Victoria and we just drove off the ferry found the hotel, parked for the night and didn't have to go anywhere else in the mega-warren that is Vancouver. Not as big a deal now, with GPS, but still a nice bonus. The room was great the beds were comfortable, pillows offered a choice between super-soft and a bit more firm. Nice. The only down-side in the room was the HVAC ... it was freezing in the room when we got there, the A/C was on. I could not figure out the control panel so I just pressed the up button a few times and gave up. The 'temp' didn't change, nothing looked like it was doing anything. When we returned from the show it was hot, hot, hot. So I pressed the down button a few times and eventually it cooled down enough to sleep. Still nothing changed on the control panel. That's the only reason this hotel didn't get a 5th star. The buffet was excellent. We went for dinner and breakfast and the dinner price was reasonable for what you got. We got a lot! Sushi, roast beef, seafood, Chinese food, extensive salad bar, you name it. The were even King Crab legs, which were ok, but not especially flavourful. Everything else was delicious. Breakfast was likewise, lots of selection, lots of food, excellent service for coffee and anything you needed that you didn't serve for yourself. read more

Wow, this is a great hotel! Just as nice as I thought it would be, with awesome unexpected touches/features. The hotel has its own lobby & front desk, or you can also check in across the street at the River Rock Casino Hotel, which is connected by a walkway bridge. Security is good, as you need to scan your room key in the elevator to get to your floor & a special code is necessary to get access to the hotel guest parking area. Self parking on the casino side, however, was pretty dingy & dark. There's also valet on both sides. The indoor swimming & jacuzzi pools (open till midnight) are fun, esp. the slide! Went late night swimming, so we could slide without competing w/kids. Lol! Pools are located in the casino bldg. & although not freezing cold, the main pool is not heated. Other features we loved: Espresso maker & comp espresso in room, mini fridge, plush robes, electronic do not disturb feature, newspaper outside rm every morning, super comfy beds (omg), lge flat screen tv, electronic safe, built in bed lights, nice toiletries & oversized bathroom. Also, to conserve energy, they have you insert room key into a slot for the lights, tv, etc. to go on. Once you remove the key, everything shuts off. How cool! read more

I will recommend this place to the people that want to get away and have a little casino night this is the perfect spot. Reserve your rooms in advance because trust me it does make a difference. The booking is not clear. We thought we were getting a suite and we got a very small room. The King bed was fine. The pillows are very uncomfortable. The real reason for giving this place only two stars though is that the walls are paper thin. It really seems like there are curtains between the rooms instead of walls. There was a young child next door and I could hear every word she said like she was sitting next to me. And the worst was I could hear everything going on in the bathroom next door as if it were happening in my bathroom with the door open! Really noisy and not pleasant. I could even hear the elevator ding every single time someone used it, around the corner and down the hall. Some women were laughing and having a great time in the hallway and it was so loud I couldn't hear my husband who was sitting beside me talking. This hotel is ridiculously loud. read more

Stayed over the weekend in a double queen. Good size space - beds were very comfy. Had to call down to the front desk to request some extra towels - super fast delivery. The little shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/lotion bottles were all grapefruit scented... my fave scent. Free wi-fi in our room. Took the kids over to the salt water pool - hot tub and water slide for everyone to play in. We went around 8:30 in the evening and basically had the entire pool area to ourselves. There's a locker room/changing area next to the pool/fitness center area but no showers. There was a rinse off area down by the pool. Plenty of towels by the pool too. Hotel room was small but clean. Room service was very disappointing. The waiter was nice but the food was terrible. The artichoke dip was flavorless mush and I didn't eat it. And the Caesar salad lacked flavor. I actually squeezed three lemon slices and added salt to give it some flavor. I have never added salt to a Caesar salad in my life...it was that bland. I will never stay here again. The spa was also disappointing...worst relaxation massage i've ever had at a spa. read more

I used to come here when it first opened once a year as a "Staycation." They always have hotel, buffet and show combo deals during the off peak season. It is right by a skytrain station, therefore, it is very easy to get to. The hotel pool is an amazing waterfall that is fun (with a slide), nice hot tub, a gym to work out in and the buffet is good. Very attentive staff that goes above and beyond. The rooms themselves were spacious, well laid out and clean. I get the room with the living room attached. As far as local destinations go...this isn't too bad. Our room came with $10 in play money, however, neither of us gambled so we just cashed that in and used it at the coffee bar. read more

I hate staying at casino hotels. This was GREAT. The good news is that you do not have to go through the casino to check into the hotel. Room was beautiful with great amenities -- HUGE towels. We stay here solely for the location. I realized I got sore throat in the morning when I wokeup at the hotel due to the air from the vent directly blowing at my face. So I tried to turn the air conditioning off but could not manage to do so. So, I called the front desk for hep. I was astonished to find out that 1) the air conditioning can NOT turn off individually because it is central heating What kind of hotel has air conditioning system that can not turn off in each room ???? read more

As a local, I don't often get a chance to stay at hotels here. This past weekend I had the privilege of spending 2 nights here as I was attending a wedding as a bridesmaid and we all stayed in the hotel. The experience was enjoyable. The mattress was the best I've ever slept on and I am now looking in to purchasing this mattress for my home since my home bed just isn't cutting it anymore. I have stayed here before and it was beautiful. I am trying to book a stay here for this weekend through a third party website for my professional organization and was asked to call the hotel itself for help answering specific questions about the hotel. When I called the hotel, I was answered by the rudest person I have ever spoken to in customer service. Worse still, I made this call on Bluetooth through my car, and everyone in the car was shocked by the lack of professionalism and general discourtesy of the person on the phone. I understand there may be limitations in what someone can help me with when a third party site is involved, but this person was rude, abrupt, and made no effort to help me find the answer. I expected so much more out of the customer service for a hotel of this quality and price point. Extremely disappointed. read more
