I am sitting outside of this place so impressed with my experience. I saw on Yelp that someone said the posted hours are incorrect- so I called to make sure they were open. The hours posted for Fri were right- so I popped in for a tea. Not my normal beverage but my voice has been a little horse. I stepped in the door (in the rear) and was greeted by Miss Mae- a very nice woman. As she was making my tea- we were talking about the food they serve- I got the impression they make a lot of their food from scratch. She mentioned they serve Chicken and Dumplings and I told her I'd hadn't had this dish in so long- because my Mom used to make the best!! I was totally blown when Miss Mae went into the cooler, retrieved a bowl full of chicken and dumplings- heated it up- and let me try it I was right- great home cooking just like my Mom used to make. It was phenomenal! This quick stop reminded me of how nice it is to treat people like family- and how wonderful it feels to be the recipient of this treatment!! It also reminds me to pay it forward- and uplift others when the opportunity arises. This quick stop to get a tea ended up making my afternoon!! THANK YOU!! One last thing- this kind of looks like a large house or small hotel- I'll include an outside pic so you don't miss it.

This beautiful little tea room is a must see if you're in the Davenport area! The best peach cobbler I ever had and the servers are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The atmosphere is very cozy and I can't wait to come back.

Everything about this place is charming!

Our family came here tonight for the Friday night steak dinner. The whole place is overflowing with charm. One of the oldest buildings in town (built in 1911), it captures a simpler, more relaxed time. The authenticity is apparent everywhere you look. The staff was kind and accommodating. The food was incredible! Steak prices range from $26-28 and included a large potato, and both unlimited salad and Parmesan bread. The steaks are cut to order and are 1 1/4" thick! Drinks (either water, sweet or unsweetened teas of either the regular or raspberry varieties) are served in mason jars. This place is the real deal! We will definitely be back!

Servers are also friendly and attentive. The menu items have the tried and true breakfast items but with a twist. They also serve lunch all day. I have always had great experiences at First Watch at Posner…read moreVillage and I want to be clear that today's experience was good in terms of service and food quality. This lower review is solely because of the smell of the location during our dining experience around 12:30pm today. When we walked in, we were hit with a strong chemical smell. As we sat down, I kept looking around to see if I could see someone using some kind of chemical or cleaning agent and never did. The smell persisted during our meal and I did not bring it up to the server because I thought maybe it was just my imagination because I couldn't figure it out. Turns out, as we were leaving, I noticed that first watch shares a building/wall with a nail salon. What I was smelling was the acrylic (MMA) from the salon, seeping into the restaurant. It was quite strong and I'm honestly shocked that it hasn't been brought up before already.
