Came here last night to get a mocha and it was so good had to come back for a caramel latte the very next morning. (I got the chocolate coffee beans but I finished them so no picture for you) I'm from California so coming here and finding some good coffee was definitely a challenge, however not just the coffee was good but also the staff, so friendly and nice. We have been to Human Beans all over Oregon for years. We love the little speckled chocolate covered coffee beans they add to your cup. They will also sell you a bag of them btw. Generally it is fast, friendly, and the coffee is pretty good. They have soy milk which is the only alternative milk my body tolerates. My kid likes their smoothies and Mexican mochas. I do love a granita, too. It's not a great grab a quick food item place anymore, they stopped having our favorite Asiago bagels here and in Newport at least ( I think we still were able to procure them after the local ones stopped both in Corvallis and Hillsboro) so you have to settle for a muffin top or biscotti. They have extended hours compared to some other places in town which is helpful. Also they gave me a flower on Mother's Day which made me smile. read more

I haven't had The Human Bean in many years and was delighted to see one was not far away from the lodge we were staying at for our vacation. I got a hot latte with four shots and my partner got the same thing but his was an iced latte. I was so happy to see that little chocolate covered espresso bean on top of my drink. It was such a nice treat before diving into my hot beverage. This place seriously makes enjoyable coffee. Tastes as amazing as I remember it! Service is friendly. Stopped by The Human Bean twice during our stay in Lincoln City - the first time after going out to lunch, and the second time before heading out to the airport in Portland. This place has two drive up windows and one walk up window. My first visit, I got myself a 32oz iced mocha (I needed that caffeine!), and my second visit I got myself a 12oz frozen hot chocolate. Both of these were equally good, but I think I liked the frozen hot chocolate better. My favorite part about The Human Bean is that they give you one or more coffee beans with your drink, depending on the size. Service during both visits were friendly and quick. I don't have to worry about missing this place because we have one back at home as well. read more

Look. We are all human, and most of us need coffee. When we need coffee, we search Yelp and go to the nearest coffee place that looks good. When I woke up in Lincoln City, Oregon and needed coffee, I found The Human Bean. It looked good. So I went there. I pulled into the drive thru, as it is drive thru only. I wanted iced coffee and so I said, "Do you have half and half?" They said yes. They. Said. Yes. So then I said "I would like your largest iced breve with 4 shots and some caramel." Then I paid and in a very short time was given a massive iced breve with enough caffeine in it to make me feel alive again. Additionally, there were a few chocolate espresso beans just sitting on top of the cup...which I ate...which were delicious and a nice touch that made me feel as though this place truly cared about my caffeine addiction. That's what I look for in a coffee shop. People who care about supplying me with an amount of caffeine sufficient to make me feel alive. The baristas were exceptionally friendly, and potentially hopped up on a bit of caffeine themselves, (no judgement). I wouldn't trust a bald barber, and I can't say that I've ever been comfortable with a lethargic barista. These were comfortingly energetic and quick with that breve. Really, they were friendly. My friend and I talked about it as we drove away. The friendliness was notable. It was noted. I'm noting it now. So overall it was a solid experience. I love it when a coffee shop has a drive thru. If this place were on a route that I routinely drove, I would routinely visit. Worth a stop if you're in the area for sure. read more

Came here while on vacation mainly because they are the only place I can find the alternative milk I like. We have one at home that I frequent so am familiar with the company. The first visit was great-friendly barista, great shots in the latte. The next two visits were different. The barista on visit two was friendly but shots were weak and tasted watery. The third visit was all wrong. The barista was not friendly, then made the wrong size drink even though we very clearly ordered two 20 oz drinks, she made one a 12 oz then made us pay the difference even though it was her mistake. Never have had that happen at any coffee shop. I think she put the shots in from the 12 oz to the 20 and didn't add any more shots as I couldn't even taste the coffee. read more

Today was my first time at Human Bean. I like the way the internet page was organized. I don't know the woman's name who greeted me this morning but she was cute & friendly. She had beautiful nails. Stopped yesterday after attempting Starbucks whose drive thru was closed by virtue of orange cones blocking it. Weird. Human Bean had one car at each window so I pulled behind one. Short wait. Ordered grande americano with 4 shots and 1" of room. Delicious, fast, perfect, friendly service from 2 women inside. Only $4, much less than Starbucks. Tipped $1. I will be back today. read more

They are extremely slow, especially when there is only one guy manning both windows. Close one window if there is only one employee. I was 2nd in line and it took 15 mins to get to the window. Then, he rushed and didn't put the lid on tightly. Coffee spilled everywhere on my lap and car, and I wasn't comp'ed nor did I get another coffee. No apologies or nothing! Spent 4 hours cleaning the mess in my car. Last time I'm going there. read more

Quick and friendly service. My Decaf americano was nice and hot. They have a nice small grassy area to sit and drink with the dogs.

The service was crazy slow and the coffee wasn't that great. I got regular coffee with a shot of espresso and it tasted watered down. I can only imagine the coffee by itself! That being said, the girl who worked there was very nice. And the location is good, easy to find and access. They give you a chocolate covered espresso bean with your order. It was good, but they just set it on top of the cup and it gets melty from the heat of the coffee before you even get your hands on it. So I'm neither here nor there about the coffee bean, although it is kind of a cute touch. read more

BEWARE THE WAIT TIME! And read older posts - this seems to be a chronic problem. Never in my life have I waited 35 minutes for service at a drive through (3/20/22). Granted we were not in a hurry, but we were also stuck as there's only one entrance/exit, but with two baristas working, and two windows open, how on earth was it a 35 minute wait (we were about sixth in line). We had just come from Starbucks across the street (for the adult drinks) where there's only one window, twice the amount of cars in the driveup, and our wait was 5 minutes. Absolutely not worth it, and based on prior years (plural) reviews this is a long term problem not being fixed. read more

I have been a fan and supporter of Human Bean, and have been to several in 3 different states, and always been impressed by the quality, consistency, and service... until today. Drove 20 min to get coffee. They had a long line, which could have been partially avoided with some simple lane designation to get cars to the second window. It took me nearly 35 minutes to get to the window. Once there, I gave a simple order of 2 flavored mochas. The barista walked away, then came back a full minute later to confirm the order. Then had to be reminded about the requested whip cream. Finally got back on the road, took my first sip, only to discover the coffee Luke warm. We are visiting for 4 days and will drive to Newport for our coffee. Very disappointed read more

Went here on my bday trip for a cute, quick stop. I had seen this place all up the coast of Oregon, and decided to give it a try. The lady that was working at the counter was immediately rude. Her body language and attitude towards us was entirely disrespectful for no reason. We asked nicely if the a drink had any cow milk in it, due to the fact that my friend is lactose intolerant. The girl working there scoffed and told us she couldn't even explain what was in it, then made a comment about how it's "going to hurt your stomach anyway". Not really answering any of our questions. You could tell that she didn't want to be there, but it was unnecessary to take it out on paying customers. Unprofessional, mediocre drinks, and slow service. Coffee was watered down, drink was barely blended, and their chai just tasted like ice. Don't recommend. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in town. The barista's are always super friendly and helpful. I love that they have some many flavor options to choose from. I also like that they have two windows (although not everybody pulls around to the second window causing lines to back up) and that they have the walk up window. read more

One Barista started my drink. The second reset came and finish the transaction and she was extremely rude. The rude one was Ava. Or Eva. Or whatever. I love this place! I go here pretty regularly, the staff is so friendly and I love the chocolate covered espresso beans! Only place in town to get a 32 oz Red Bull as well. One of the baristas, Riley, is always friendly and gives my doggo a treat. read more

Live right down the street from this place and get coffee every morning so when my beloved Mojo moved... figured I'd give Human Bean a shot :) looks super cute inside and out. Service.... Absolutely terrible. Pulled up and a brunette girl comes to the window. Frown on her face and not welcoming at all. She asks our orders and then just disappears. Reappeared with our coffees, hands them to us, and walks away. No "have a nice day!". Just leaves lol. So weird. Mochas were mediocre. Not a good start LC Human Bean. Big Fail. Might want to pep up your crew and teach them some basic customer service skills. read more
