Kretchmar's Bakery is family-owned and has been open for over 65 years. It sells baked goods such…read moreas breads (e.g., French, pumpernickel, rye, pullman, whole wheat, tuscan, rustic sour, focaccia, six grain, cinnamon, raisin, banana, and ciabatta), off-the-shelf and custom cakes, cookies (e.g., sugar, M&M, oatmeal-walnut-raisin, butterball, and gingerbread), donuts (e.g., paczki, glazed, iced, jelly, and bavarian cream), pastries (e.g., biscotti, danishes, muffins, scones, turnovers, brownies, cannolis, claws, puffs, eclairs, almond cups, rum balls, and pineapple squares), pies (e.g., coconut cream, fruit feuilletee, apple, cherry, peach, and pumpkin), and tortes (e.g., banana, black forest, chocolate, lemon, pistachio, strawberry, and almond). Local delivery is available for a fee. My husband and I shopped here one time. Employees immediately and kindly served us. Many baked goods in the display cases looked tempting, so I needed time to make up my mind about what I wanted to buy! I chose baklava (4 stars, thick layer of nuts), lady lock (4 stars, not quite as good as my mom-in-law's), apricot sourcream (4 stars), snickerdoodle cookie (4.5 stars), and Very Berry Napoleon (5, nicely fruity and sweet). The total price for these five baked goods was $10.46.

Have come here several times and usually order their ice cream. Hubby n I usually come with a BOGO…read morecoupon and we're signed up in their rewards system. What's Hot - Quality. Their ice cream is thick, creamy, and delicious. Their fillings add to the flavor, as well. For example, their cheesecake flavors have graham cracker crust bits in there. No skimping, which I love. I've seen their staff make the ice cream cakes and it looks like they do a pretty good job. Good layers of ice cream in their ice cream cakes. Again, this is not a place where they skimp. - Menu. There are waffle cones, waffle bowls, sherbert, yogurt, ice cream cakes, and more. It's a pretty extensive menu, which is definitely great. It's helpful that they change their flavors and there's always something new. For example, I tried their double fudge brownie one day. The same week, double fudge brownie was no longer on the menu. But they had fudge cheesecake and caramel cheesecake. - Layout. There's a decent size parking lot and a small seating area for this one, which is helpful. Their tables also have large umbrellas you can push open, which is nice when it's very sunny. - Coupons. There are coupons in the mail, which is always a plus. We almost always use their BOGO coupons, which are such a deal. My guess is that whether you receive coupons in the mail depends on where you live, but be on the lookout! - Rewards system. They have a rewards system you can sign up for, where they keep your phone number in their system. Whenever you make a purchase, give them your number and it adds points. For every 50 points you earn, you get a $5 rewards. Not a bad deal, right? - Free samples. I'm not sure what their policy is during Covid-19, but before, they are generous with their free samples. Hubby n I would sample numerous seasonal flavors and their staff were never rude about it, cut us off, or limit us. As silly as it may sound, free samples always help hubby n me decide which flavors to order. What's Not - Cost. Keep in mind that cost depends on how much you order. They charge per scoop and exactly what you buy, as well. For example, their ice cream cakes cost more. You pay for the quality, though. Final Answer Worth coming back.

What's better than a food truck? How about a dessert truck?…read more Patti's Pastries was parked downtown this past summer, and I am SO glad I took the time to wait in the long line for this sweet truck. After staring into their windows for as long as I did, it was hard not to take one of everything home with me! But I managed to keep it together and walk off with just a Cookie Dough, a Raspberry Truffle, and a Strawberry Cheesecake cupcake. These cupcakes were AMAZIIIINNNNG. We're talking moist cake mix, topped with delish icing and snacks and drizzles of sauces, and filled with a unique filling as well. It's a flavor profile you have to taste - words just can't do it justice! Easily the best dessert I've had in a long time. My cupcakes did not last long at all, and if I come across this food truck and/or am in the area of Patti's physical location, I am so ready for more of these heavenly goodies. If you have a chance to grab something from Patti's, do it! Do it do it do it!

They also have giant lady locks or should I say "logs" which are also good. The price however will chap you in the a$$
