The Ultimate Pastry Shop opened in 1987. It bakes and sells desserts such as cookies, cupcakes, tarts, pies, and cakes. During my visit, in the display cases, I saw desserts such as blueberry cookies, danishes, raisin oat scones, raspberry muffin tops, sticky buns, apricot rugelach, banana bread, chocolate chip bread, peanut butter bars, cheesecake brownies, etcetera. I even saw a gluten-free option. My husband and I picked out several treats. An employee carefully wrapped and boxed them. The total cost was less than $10. Here are my ratings for the treats: Snickerdoodle cookie - 4 stars Sugar cookie with icing and sprinkles - 5 stars - You might expect a sugar cookie to be plain, but this one tasted delicious. Chocolate chip cookie - 3 stars Oatmeal raisin cookie - 4 stars Lady lock - 5 stars - My husband commented that he really enjoyed the buttercream icing inside. Cinnamon roll - 4 stars - This cinnamon roll was very dry, but after we put some butter on it and microwaved it, it became more moist. It had nice flavors.

Colorful pastry shop in Sewickley. They have a large selection of baked goods. Service was patient and friendly. Everything we tried tasted great. Worth a try if you are in the area.

I ordered a cake for my dad's birthday- white cake, chocolate chip filling, and chocolate icing. It was delicious. Incredibly moist. It was perfection

I love this bakery! The staff is very professional, warm and accommodating. Fantastic pastries and cookies. They offer cakes for weddings, bridal showers and birthdays. This bakery can pretty much do what ever design you need! A little on the high end of the scale but well worth it. If you are ever in the sewickley area this place is a must.

My girlfriend and I stopped here to get a sweet treat for dessert. The have a small table area up front if you wish to eat in but for the most part it is take out. The pastry shop has quite a selection to choose from. From breakfast pastries to rugelach you can find most anything here. They have a vast assortment of cookies and on the center table are prepackaged items for purchase. In the refrigerated see through you can see lovely cakes and cupcakes made fresh. They don't have any vegan options here but they do have gluten free. I inquired about the cakes and was told a small 6 inch one is about $18.00. The two of us however wanted to try the cupcakes so we both purchased a chocolate raspberry one. They were reasonably priced at just under $3.00 and it was a descent size. Needless to say when I got home to try it is was melt in your mouth good! Located on Beaver Ave near Broad St in the heart of Sewickley business district metered street parking is available.

Love this place! We came in and the worker was so pleasant. We got so many pastries and our total was only 21 dollars! Could never get so many quality items for that price anywhere else. Everything was great! Will come here for dessert now on.

This is my first time in Sewickley and i was in town for a week. I was on my lunch break and decide to walk from the hospital and into the town. I love pastery and cookies so this was a must after lunch. The place is pretty clean and bright inside. I ordered a chocolate cookie, snicker doodles, and a double dip chocolate chip. The cookies average was about .75 cents and was reasonably priced. They had so many different types of cookies to choose from. Unfortunately, they do no have a sugar free or a semi sweet cookie. The person that was taking my order was very friendly and service with a smile. I told her i was taking pictures for yelp.com but they have never heard of the website. So she called the bakery chef and i she questioned me why i was taking pictures. It seemed though she was worried in a unfriendly matter though but the cashier was nice. All and all, it's a great find if you have a sweet tooth. I'll post up the pictures soon and hopefully Pittsburgh will find out more about yelp.

I've been spoiled with "out of this world" pastry/cookie/bakery shops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and NY.... I've tried this place twice on two different visits to Sewickley, and I didn't enjoy it very much.

    Dalmatian Cookie

I stopped in here for a cookie based on a recommendation that they were the best in town. Upon walking in, there were a few customers but the staff behind the cases greeted me immediately and asked what I'd like. I said I hadn't been in before and asked a few questions about the cookies before settling on a "Dalmatian," which was a soft chocolate chip cookie with white chocolate chips and topped with a layer of buttercream frosting. Although there were many other delicious looking options (perhaps twenty plus), my boyfriend asked for a Dalmatian as well. Our total was $1.90 (95¢ a piece!). We grabbed a few napkins and sat at the table in the window. The cookies were great, very soft and moist. The buttercream was outstanding! Great cookies plus friendly service and reasonable prices is a winner in my book. I would totally have ordered more except my willpower was strong. I will definitely stop back by here and my only complaint is that I live so far away (although maybe that's good for my waistline!).

The awesome cinnamon rolls...they are bit bigger...this one, um, lost a layer before I remembered to take a picture

The lady locks are by far the best I've ever had. The cream in the middle was sent to this earth on angel's wings from heaven.

It's located in Sewickley on Walnut street right off Broadway. The shop itself is tiny and whenever I got inside there was a cop and a lady with a dog. The 3 (or 4) of us filled up the waiting/ordering area. There was a freezer case filled with Leona's ice cream sandwiches and then a display cooler with cold drinks in it. Lastly they had a clear shelf on the counter with some muffins in it. I was a little sad it wasn't filled with the pastries I had seen photos of, but I guess it wasn't the right day. After looking at the menu I decided to order a 16 oz Cuban while my wife went with a 12 oz mocha. Since the others had already been waited on, it took only a few minutes and we had our coffees and were on our way. My Cuban ended up being quite good as it had the perfect amount of sweetness to it that it complimented the milk and coffee without overpowering it. Then the coffee itself was strong and rich while the milk did it's part. My wife also really enjoyed her mocha from here. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of our coffees were good and i hope that the next time that we stop by that they have some pastries as well.

I didn't have my gift cards with me today but decided it was time to treat myself anyway. I had the Cappuccino- it was strong and hot! I love when my coffee is made at a high temperature and I don't know anyone who prefers that, but clearly the baristas make their drinks at the "right" temperature. There is a very little room once inside. I was one of 3 patrons there but it was fine for me and they make their drinks pretty fast. I will come back again and try their other drink items.

Unassuming from the outside, it is a small bakery with plenty to offer in the form of homemade baked goods, as well as some candy thrown in for good measure. We enjoyed their maple pastry and they delicious cinnamon roll. The baker was a bit rearranged from the movie - no big deal - and the service was super friendly and answered our questions on when they came to tape for the movie. It was a fun stop and their baked goods are truly delicious.

As you may know, part of the movie was filmed in Ambridge and this bakery is used in one of the scenes. The main characters visit this bakery and have a Swedish eclair, or Semlor. I was hosting our book club this week and thought it would be fun to pick up some semlors for our treat. I called the day before (not realizing they are closed Sunday-Tuesday) to place an order for 18 semlors. They said it would be no problem to make them for me, even though I only gave them just over 24 hours notice. The bakery was beautifully painted back to how it was originally when it opened many many years ago. There is limited seating (only one small table and two chairs) so it's not really meant to be an eat-in bakery. The semlors were a hit with book club! Everyone enjoyed them quite a bit. They did seem to be a little dry to me. Not sure if we got "day old" semlors or they were just drier than I would have guessed. The filling was delicious and plentiful. Would love to come back and try some other items they have--the giant cookies look so yummy!
