At the end of the day we all came together for dinner. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was a full course meal that started with bread, you can choose salad or soup, there is a few entrées to choose from including meat and seafood options as well as dessert at the end. Definitely come prepared to eat a lot. We brought our own wine as the place itself does not have a liquor license so you bring what you want to drink. However, they do have coffee, Tea, and hot cocoa. As well as soft drinks and water. The service was great. There was about 12 of us so we had two servers taking our orders and serving us. It is definitely fine dining in a rustic area. I would come back here again any day. The environment was warm and cozy with a fire place nearby, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. Just be prepared... To eat a lot. It is a members only hunting club and you may bring guests. Adam's uncle is a member there and has been for years . The guys had a great day hunting, too! They loved their guides and really loved the Portuguese Water Dog that helped them hunt quail. Also, Adam's cousin was able to bring his own dog hunting since she had taken courses. Overall, this is a beautiful place that offers activities for all ages throughout the year.

Some hunters might quibble with the 5 stars...other managed waterfowl areas might have bigger…read morezones, or better plantings, or whatever, and maybe none of Michigan's waterfowl areas compare with those in other states, but for this state, you have to admit the place is pretty awesome, especially if you're a walk in hunter and usually hunt solo. Many more single zones than other managed areas in Michigan, and you can walk into any zone on the area. Drawing crowds, weekdays at least, are usually not as huge as those at some other locales. There are enough crop zones that on all but the most insanely crowded days, you're almost guaranteed to get a corn strip. The staff here works hard to create good habitat and good hunts. They're very forthcoming about the condition of fields, and very welcoming to hunters new to the area. Drawing crowds are usually friendly. As for the hunting? There are great days and dead days, like anywhere. On a good day, many zones can produce well. On a bad one, even the traditional hot zones may get skunked. The annual Manager's Report lists annual kill numbers for each zone, and well as number of hunter trips per zone, and discerning use of that data should help you choose a good one. I live almost two hours away, but I will make the trip at least 3-4 times a season. Wish I could get there more.

We had some craft cocktails- the Pink Lady and the Pink Pedal. Both were tasty but I preferred the refreshing citrus in the pink pedal on a hot day. We ordered a charcuterie board w the whitefish dip for an appetizer and the beet salad and Mediterranean pizza for our meal. The board was just OK. Two types of cheese, two slices each; two types of meat; three slices of those. Honey mustard; jam; raisins and a few corn snacks. Not enough crackers (4) for what we had. The whitefish was already a $4 upcharge; and we asked for extra crackers, it was another $3 charge. Most folks don't eat whitefish dip straight so that was a miss in my opinion. A $24 appetizer is a lot. The beet salad was all arugula and pretty good with a tangy dressing. The pizza did not come with cheese; so that was another upcharge. And its topped with more tangy arugula so that's on us for not realizing how many greens we had ordered. The service was friendly and attentivefor the most part. We had hoped to order their cheesecake but the server got tied up with other tasks outside and we had a fixed time frame so by the time she came back we had to leave. Would I come back? Perhaps to sit at the bar and have some drinks and appetizers. I don't know that I would order meals again. Owners should pay attention to the nickle and diming as it does tarnish the experience. Pizzas by nature should come w cheese even if its optional. If you upcharge for dip on the board pay attention to what the patron might need w that additional item. $3 for some extra crackers to go w the dip is excessive.
