They serve food as well as ice cream, but I was only focused on the ice cream. There is hard and soft ice cream as well as lots of specialty items. Since I just finished a huge dinner, I ordered a small twist. Normally I would order a "blizzard", but they only have a 20 oz option. Had there been a smaller one, I would have gone there. My twist was served on my requested sugar cone for which I was happy. Often times places say they can't use a sugar cone for a twist. I know better and so does this place. Their soft serve was so similar to ours that I have to think they use the same dairy product. It was rich and creamy and wonderful. So happy we found this and since it's so close to the Drury Inn where we stay when in town, I know I will be back.

My visit was on a Saturday night in May around 9:30 PM. It was not crowded at all, as we were one of a few groups there at the time. Plenty of seating options both inside and out, and we had no issue finding seating that worked for us. There was no line to order, so after taking a minute or two to look over the menu, I went to put in the order. The girls working the counter were very personable and helpful. They let me sample a few of the flavors, and were engaging in conversation with all of the customers when waiting on them. The shop had a bigger menu with some food items like pizza, appetizers, salads, and more, but we did not try any on this trip. It would be a one-stop shop for dinner and dessert to come here and eat from both the food menu and then the ice cream menu. We ordered two of the Specialty Sundaes - the Chocolate Chip Cookie and the Greek Style. Both are served with vanilla soft serve. I believe you can switch that out for a different flavor or type, but we stuck with the vanilla. The sundaes were not bad, but they were very average. The price of these were both $7.99 each before tax, and I would have thought they would be a little bigger. On the Greek Style, the baklava was in pieces crumbled over the top as opposed to a larger, singular piece. The cookie on the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae was not an oversized one that usually comes on sundaes like that at other shops. I am not sure what kind it was, but it appeared to be something mass produced, almost like a Chips Ahoy. Again, they were not bad, but for the price and the fact that they were on the Specialty Sundae menu, I would have expected more than what we got. I thought the prices here were high for the quality and quantity of the items. I am not sure if the value was there for the prices, but I would have to determine that after visiting another time or two to see if it was a one-off or if that is how it is for everything. I enjoyed getting to try this place. It has a good atmosphere, and is probably a lively place in the summertime and when the weather is nice. I would be interested to try more of the menu on a return trip. I am not sure if I would recommend the Speciality Sundaes, but the hard ice creams that I sampled were good and worth getting if you are stopping here!

The employees in the drive-through stated they no longer take tap-to-pay. How else should someone take that other than them no longer taking tap? We were not offered alternative options like visiting the walk-up window. We were simply told there were no other options. The business response only further solidifies that we won't be back. Even if they did start taking tap again, waiting 40 minutes to process 4 cars in the drive-through is unacceptable. There are faster, more reliable, more up to date ice cream shops in town.

Secondly, starting this year, Dari Delight's social media has drastically changed as they have adopted the use of generative A.I. for most of their advertising. Instead of cute little signs showing the varieties of items they offer, all the signs now are A.I. slop, and I think it looks horrible. The ice cream itself is still good, but to me, businesses that just casually use A.I. for their marketing is a big turn-off to me, and I will deliberately avoid them. Yesterday they were offering free ice cream cones for Bridgeville's 125th Anniversary, and we did stop and get a free cone, so I thank them for that, but I really hope they re-consider their use of A.I. and go back to the cute, retro looking signs that they used to have . . . hopefully.
