Southern Fried Chicken Breast with mashed potatoes
Chrystal G.

The food was delicious!! Came here after wrapping up the derby run. Quick and friendly service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Homey vibes yet also I feel like you should dress nice, if that makes any sense (like eating dinner at grandma's after church).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was sold on eating dinner here after my son once brought his leftovers home and had me try the chicken.

Chicken tenders

Wow! Wish I could give this place 10 stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the service to the ambiance to the food. It was all fantastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our sever Christina was incredible she was so attentive and really made our night fun!! The Bartender (i didn't catch her name) went above and beyond for us as well to try their different sauces, and sample the different drinks on tap. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have great indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside so my son could play at the playground. He enjoyed it and made some friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The honey mustard was unreal, the sweet tea vinaigrette on the salad needs to be bottled, and if you're a ranch lover their ranch is delish!! The country fried steak had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly and the chicken tenders had great flavor!! Literally everything we had was great! Can't wait to go back!! This is my new favorite spot.

Ceviche (spelling?)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute restaurant with indoor & outdoor setting along with an outdoor bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] BEST ESPRESSO MARTINI courtesy of the beautiful & talented Monet (bartender at the main bar). I am a connoisseur of espresso martinis and I've had a lot of bad ones in my life so I can tell you right now....This is the best one I've had on US soil.. Food was great! Waiter was Jimmy, he was busy but set expectations & had a great way of pointing out his favs & popular menu items! Loved his presentation abilities! Pros: A lot! Food, atmosphere & drinks. Cons: only thing we did not like was the ceviche (spelling). We will be back! Thank you for a great night out with friends!

Collards & filet

This is a very typical local restaurant with an assortment of surf and turf options. Nothing too fancy on the menu and well-priced for what it is. Not many tables and it shares space with a bar. My service was totally fine, very pleasant and food came out fast. I had a filet & collards and the Ice House salad; steak was borderline between rare and medium rare (I ordered medium rare) and was fine. Collards were nothing special though I never have high expectations there, salad was actually pretty tasty and didn't need dressing. Overall the price was not too high, it was actually well priced for what I got, so I can't complain. Like a few other places in Summerville, the site makes it look much more upscale than it actually is. J.Ja

Caesar salad, white bean and sausage soup, and my favorite IPA

Give The Ice house a try, I'm glad we went back again. On this second visit we dined inside on the upper floor, and it was a cozy vantage spot overseeing the 1st floor bar and tables. The ambiance from the brick walls, low lights, fireplace arch, and ceiling beams gave TIH an authentic feel. The food didn't disappoint. My Caesar salad was good, and my white bean and sausage soup was excellent - tops that I've had. TIH has a full local draft beer menu, and so I enjoyed my favorite IPA. Our waitress was polished and polite, and contributed to our relaxing late lunch. We'll be back.

Nice pub in the heart of downtown Summerville. The restaurant was unfortunately closed, I will go back to try the food and do another review. The bar however is up the stairs, nice live music from some talented musicians. I let the bartender know it was my first time and he gave me a bumper sticker and some matches as souvenirs... that was nice. My drink was amazing. The interior was so cool to look at! I would go back for sure.

Amazing food and service at an eclectic bar/restaurant in Summerville. I highly recommend the steak bites and the goat cheese salad.

My husband and I came here on the first night we moved to SC from out of state. I ordered the smoked wings w/signature dry rub and a side salad. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak and was very excited about the house-made cheese-whiz. The wings were excellent!! That dry rub is a chef's kiss. And that delicious side salad was a HUGE portion size! We already can't wait to come back here again! :)

The shrimp had a very strong, fishy smell that was honestly off-putting, and the flavor matched. It almost seemed like the addition of wine was an attempt to mask the issue rather than enhance the dish. The grits were also disappointing--lumpy and lacking the smooth, creamy texture you'd expect. That said, not everything missed the mark. My coworkers ordered the chicken salad, chicken wrap with sweet potato fries , blackened chicken pasta, and bruschetta, and all of those dishes were absolutely delicious and well prepared. They definitely helped redeem the overall experience and show the kitchen is still capable of putting out great food. Adri was our server, and she was an absolute delight--a total gem. She never missed a beat and was completely on top of everything. I also appreciated the convenience of the location. I parked across the street in the garage, which was well lit, safe, and very close. There's plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, which adds to the appeal. I'm hoping this was just an off day, because Montreux has been a favorite in the past. I'd love to see the shrimp and grits return to the quality they were once known for. I would change the name because the name suggests they have oysters only and it turns out there is more, not a whole lot but enough for a non oysterholic to come in and have something to eat while you chug an ale or one of the shots with a slimy thing in it I got to try a shot of something that tasted like bloody Mary's mix with an oyster inside, I felt the slimy thing going down the hatch and later ordered a dozen or so oysters Parmesan, cooked taste a little like scallops, not bad and I could go back and try something else The calamari was ok, not as great as I can make them if I had a fryer with a thermostat, the batter was a little too thick and I tend to like them with a see through batter not a filler, it was crunchy ok but maybe a little overcooked and not a lot of people know that calamari should be flash fried for about a minute and if you go beyond that is like the Michelin man The place is fun and be prepared for a loud environment because it is small but go with an open mind and it is a nice different experience I will go back and try their fish and chips

My go-to favorites are the blackened mahi tacos, fresh oysters, mac and cheese bites, shrimp po' boy, and the chicken wings. Everything is always flavorful and well done, and the oyster shooters are a must. I love sitting outside when I can, and the atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and welcoming. The staff is always friendly, and it's just an easy place to enjoy good food and good vibes. Consistently solid and always a good experience. Five stars every time.

So parked across the street, not eating all day, which I typically don't until supper, after…read morebusting my ass on a 12-hour day I came over here to imbibe and eat. I was immediately met outside by a child advocate, apparently, trying to raise money for poor children with backpacks and toys and whatnot. She was actually really nice, but probably not the best place to set up shop, and try to take advantage of people who have over consumed on their way out. Sort of surprised that the owner/management let that happen right out front their doors. So after buying a $74 backpack for a needy child, apparently, I made my way in through the double doors. There was a younger hostess and I asked her if I could sit at the bar. She was super soft-spoken and hard to understand, but I could understand her gestures when she nodded "yes". Made my way to the bar, and had a seat. All they were playing was some lame a** soccer, and I think tennis? I asked my bartender if this is what they normally play, and she told me it's a sports bar, and they always play all sports. Well, I don't watch sports, it's too woke, but in that sense if there's no contact, it's not a sport. So essentially I was watching two different versions of sissy ball. I told her, or rather asked about their viewing schedule, and I noticed horse racing on a TV across the restaurant, and she was nice enough to put it on one of the TVs behind the bar, so once again after a brief period, I was able to reacquire remasculation. Pfff "sports".. Anyways, her name was Taylor. And she's one tough chick. Super down to earth, good with banter, quick witted, and she can dish some ish out if she needs to. Everything that makes a strong bartender. While on that note, the other two bartenders that helped me in between were Nadyne and Kaitlyn. I only browsed through a few of these reviews, But I'm telling you, they are on their A game. They all function cohesively as a unit, constantly pay attention, and constantly check on their clientele. Sort of a lost art these days. The locals there are pretty cool also. But after all this is the south, what do you really expect? That's why I stay in this area! So let's get to the food. If you follow my reviews you know I'm on a no-carb kick again, so I ordered the "28 day aged Ribeye".... If you know me, and you know how and what I cook, grill and smoke, you would know that I'm on top of my game. Before I go any further I had two different bartenders ask me if I wanted A1 steak sauce or anything, and my reply was "Well, I sure as hell hope not". If you're buying a ribeye, aged or not, you shouldn't need anything extra as far as seasoning and flavor goes. Is it 28 days aged? I want to say I doubt it. Did it need more seasoning, and should I have taken the advice of two different bartenders of getting steak sauce? Probably so. But I have a solemn oath to beef, that I will not desecrate it in any type of sauce, no matter how it's seasoned. That being said, it wasn't seasoned the best. I actually glanced around the bar for salt and pepper but didn't see any, but I just ate it. For a ribeye, it wasn't super tender, so I tried cutting it long wise to make it more tender which actually helped a bit. But this is a sports bar, not a steakhouse, so what do you really expect? It wasn't horrible, but I can't wait to have a real ribeye or prime rib from an actual steakhouse. It came with mushrooms, and it was supposed to come with potatoes, but like I said, carbs. But Taylor offered me options for different sides, so I went with the Caesar salad and broccoli. I kept the menu in case I wanted to order some wings to go, and I didn't, and damn it I wish I did. Because I'm already hungry, so trust your gut and get some food to go! Place was pretty clean, nice setup, all the staff were top notch, even the bathroom was nice. I would definitely absolutely go there again the next time I'm here, but I would probably order wings instead of the steak. It did have nice grill marks though! All in all, great experience, I left satisfied, and the staff here really does make sure your experience is exactly what you want. Solid four stars for this place.
