They have their signature cocktails or you can ask them to make something. Nonetheless, prices were surprisingly good compared to what I had expected. I ordered 3 drinks and spent $31 without tip. The inside is very cabin-y and cozy. They have an upstairs which is small, but the outside is cute for a group hangout. I will say though be aware of parking. It gets full fast! Their lot gets filled up quick, the side parking lot by the florist also fills up, and also the place across the street fills up too. It may be smarter to uber for the sake of parking. I initially was skeptical because of its proximity to AU and thought it was for the young college crowd. A few patrons of the bar where I work raved about it so I decided to try it out. I walked in thinking that I would be a sore thumb amidst a crowd of young adults, but that was far from the case. The bartenders and bar back are some of the better ones that I've met in the industry. The Queen is a neighborhood gem -- as long as you're not there on a Friday or Saturday late night (which my old self can't manage anymore anyway) when the average age skews closer to the recently legal. I've always considered IQ as a college aged crowd but was pleasantly surprised to see it has grown to a crowd catering to both 21 and 35 year olds. It's dark and moody but the atmosphere is lively. This is a great place to get the most unique cocktails in Augusta! The bartenders are super knowledgeable in all things alcohol. You can tell them the things that you normally like and they can make a drink just for you even if it's not on their menu. I always get the blackberry Moscow mule and it's the best thing ever. I loved the inside which remind me of how a log cabin would look and knew I made the right choice to have a New Year drink here. There is a short drink list but the bartender was able to customize drinks. They do not have flavored liquids. They have a garden where they grow their herbs and fruits. I ordered the Moscow Mule, Cool as a Cucumber, and the Spring Break. All drinks were good in their own way. Service was great and the bartender was a sweetheart. The vibe is very relaxed and I could tell it's very inclusive. I would feel comfortable here in heels and could also wear sneakers here and be okay. I visited the Indian Queen yesterday for happy hour. It's so nice and spacious! When we arrived it was so much outdoor seating with tables plus benches on the porch. Inside is even more space. We took a seat at the bar and was served immediately. They have a short drink list that they make perfectly. You do not have to order off the menu. They will make anything if you tell them what you want. All of the bartenders were prompt and attentive. They even gave me a free birthday shot . I think I'll be revisiting today. I've been to this place a few time while I've been here for military school. It's a perfect gathering place for socailizarion purposes, being cozy and all. Not to mention the service has been exceptional. I am getting ready to embark on my first assignment and since I am leaving this town, I thought I'd pick up a souvenir that I can rememeber this place by. I drove to the Indian Queen to get myself a hat, something that clearly shows the origin the product. As I was getting make the purchase, someone (not sure if he was an employee or manager) offered to buy the hat for me, saying he apprecites that I made the Indian Queen as one of my last stops. I really really wanted to like this place. Let me just get that out there. We were in town to celebrate my best friend's white coat ceremony and were out on the town to have some fun. We heard some good things about this place so we decided to check it out. The good: the place is cool , it has that going for it. Its got this log cabin feel and its super clean and unique. Also the reviews are great which makes my experience that much more terrible. (maybe this was because I am not local?) The service was appalling. We were totally ignored at the bar- it took forever to get a drink and I had to move around a few times for someone to even acknowledge I was standing there. The bartender was cold and aloof. I was totally surprised by all of this. When I closed my tab it ended up being over FOUR TIMES my actual bill. The manager actually closed me out and he just dropped the receipt and left. Thats when I saw I was charged over $70 bucks for a tab less than $20 bucks. When I finally got someone to come over and change the mistake they had apparently already run my card and charged the $70 or so bucks. He also just didn't give a crap about the mistake and passed my card along to another bartender to fix the mistake. There was no apology or concern for overcharging by such a gross amount. I was just really disappointed in this place and the way they treated me and our group. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Love the atmosphere of this place. According to my Augusta-local tour guide, this building used to be a gun store, so the Indian Queen kind of feels like a bar inside of an old-timey cabin, if that cabin was clean, smelled good, and had a full bar, but you get the idea. I initially stuck with a classic G&T, but after tasting my tour guide's mojito, I knew that's what I was getting next. It's not your average bar where a drink that involves muddling and fresh herbs is a must order, but here it definitely is. They actually had a pretty impressive stock of mint and other garnishes (fresh cherries, strawberries, etc) for a place where the most expensive drink off the cocktail menu tops out at about $8. I will say that the female bartender's mojito making skills were not *quite* as good as the other guy manning the bar, but it was still a surprisingly good drink. Though it was still pretty dead around 9:30pm on a Friday night, business began to pick up when we left about an hour later, and my tour guide told me it's usually packed out come 11pm or so. But before the crowds arrived, it was a good spot to get a night cap and chat. read more

So I made the mistake of going to the Indian Queen on the night of Georgia game. Not being from the area, I am not a diehard fan. That being said, I enjoy watching football, so I wasn't upset at the prospect of the place being in "game mode" for the night. Overall, this place is pretty cool. It has the appearance of a big log cabin, which is kind of awesome. The drinks are well made, and unique. So far this is one of the best places to get a real cocktail in Augusta. Whiskey bar and Bee's Knees being the other. They made some great drinks, and the owner or manager or someone came by and talked with us for a while, made us feel really welcome. It was a really nice night. The one downside of "game night" was the obscenely loud chick who kept screaming at the TV...but that's not really the bar's fault, and I am assuming she isn't there every night(though I guess I can't really be sure!) Had a good drink there last year but it way missed the mark last night. For a bar that advertises an Old Fashioned, I can safely say it was the worst I had ever had. Heavy on the soda, no sweetness or bitters, or heck, even whiskey to be enjoyed. The ambiance is cool and it's just down the street, but I can't find a compelling reason to come back.
