Delicious! The food was very flavorful and the portions were well done! Lots of beer choices too! The staff was very kind.

A must visit just for the novelty of it! All meals are oversized. It's a great way to surprise someone if it is their first visit. Food is tasty! The Black Forest cake was definitely worth it!

Absolutely fantastic. Couldn't have been more delicious. Service was excellent and friendly.

Its been over a week since my husband & I'd found this hidden gem of a German themed restaurant while house hunting & am SO GLAD that we did! From their "tongue in cheek" road sign to draw in the crowds, to their friendly & welcoming staff that speak English (which was such a total relief to us.). To start, I got Big Emma's Cocktail & our waitress suggested a Crystal Wizner German beer for my husband to try. Which we'd both enjoyed. Mine was sweet & strong, after a couple of sips I'd felt a little buzz. It also tasted like a "Bahama Mama" with the coconut liquor & fruit juice & Wayne said that his beer was pretty smooth without the bite that the darker lagers have. Not to mention that he'd said that it was WAY BETTER than the "overpowering" wheat tasting bottled beer that he'd gotten at the front desk of the hotel that we're staying at, when we'd first arrived. But, once our food arrived there was no more time to mess around & get to getting our grub on! We could smell the delicious meats BEFORE the server even turned the corner! It'd smelled SO GOOD & the meats were still sizzling as they brought them to our table! Wayne, had ordered the 17oz. Grilled Rumpsteak in Herb Butter & OMG! The top was nicely crisped for that AMAZING crunch as you bite into a slice of juicy, tender ONOLICIOUSLY prepared cut of beef! I was jealous that I hadn't ordered that instead! But, the Big Emma's Mixed Grill of SUCCULENT cuts of Beef, boneless & skinless Chicken Breast (filled with cuts of fresh veggies) & Pork wasn't bad at all, either! We'd shared cuts with each other & STILL had leftovers to take home. But, I can't forget to mention our sides that'd completed our meals: an order of German seasoned Fried Potatoes & Onions served with Big Emma's Special dip & an order of buttery, nicely seasoned Spaetzle with a little of Peppered Gravy drizzled on it! Back in Hawai'i we have a saying when food is SO GOOD, "Bruh! Da Kine Brok' da Mout'! Dat one!" & these DEFINITELY EARNED that title. They could've been a main entree on their own, they were THAT GOOD! But, because my husband spoils me & allows me to punish the 2 of us by overeating WAY BEYOND our limits! We're in an authentic German restaurant so for dessert, I'd ordered an Apple Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream & Whipped Cream to share. "When in Rome, do like the Romans"...I SERIOUSLY should've asked for their "rollout service" because after eating all of their AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS food, I'd NEEDED to be rolled out somewhere for a nap! It'll be a little while before we go back...still new to the area, so we're kind of homeless. But, once we get settled, we'll DEFINITELY go back & check out the rest of Big Emma's menu.

Very nice place with a comfortable and cozy ambience. Although the noise level leans more on the louder side, it's still a very intimate setting to dine at. I liked it right away upon entering. The burgers here are literally the size of your head and would easily feed 3 or more. They offer steaks both on the hot stone plate and from their grill. They have a salad bar that is complimentary to the guests dining in. I ordered the steak with herb butter. It was brought out with some dressing sauce I could only assume is for presentation purpose drizzled on the side since it tastes like frosting and definitely did not go well with the steak. The beef itself was a nice, quality cut. It's extremely juicy, but was unfortunately very under seasoned. I actually am unsure if it was seasoned at all. I had to salt every piece I cut and was only able to eat less than half of an 8.5oz. There wasn't anything special in each bite to have me wanting more. The baked potato on the side was good. I really enjoyed the sour cream mixture they paired it with. The staff are friendly, and they check on guests minimally. There is a button to press for service at every table. Not a place I'd be back to. But I do feel like the size of the burger is impressive enough to pay them a visit and get some cool pictures in.

We had dinner at this place recently. We chose to sit outside on a beautiful evening. Food was amazing and so was the beer. Lots of food for you buck.

The food is decent and presentation is nice, but nothing mind blowing in flavor. The portion sizes are their gimmick, and that is impressive, but no flavor to follow.

Came highly recommended, and the reviews seem to make this a must-visit place. Stop by on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and were seated immediately outside by some very friendly hostesses. Menus were out and were served coffee and soft drinks immediately. Atmosphere itself was very quiet and conducive for conversation. We were checked in on quite often. The salad bars inside which you are encouraged to visit once your order is placed. Really good potato salad, pasta salad and coleslaw type cabbage dish. The food came out as soon as it was made which I think was German tradition. I have to admit the burgers were impressive size wise but they are not what we are used to back stateside. The guys didn't care for the quality of the meat, it looked more processed than handmade. The pasta dish was really good, and my steak with onions and mushrooms was really well made, not over seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I would recommend this for its more German fare then trying the American type burgers. After all why fly three thousand miles to have the same stuff we have back home correct?

Everything was delicious! I ordered the cream schnitzel with fried potatoes. It came with a salad bar, and then ordered apple strudel for dessert. The portions are enormous, so order the 1/4 portion. I got the 1/4 portion of both my entree and dessert and still had enough leftover for a second meal. I also happened to go on a night where they had live music. The winner of The Voice of Germany sang and played guitar. He was a soul/blues artist and was amazing! I felt like I was sitting on Beale Street back home in Memphis, TN, Home of the Blues. Would definitely go back!

What a great place for very traditional German food. The place is warm and friendly and though it was pouring down rain outside you'd never know it here. There is an outdoor patio I'll have to come back for. So what to order ..... Bier and maaayybbeee schnitzel? Okay! So Everyone in our group including me had the SMALLEST portion of schnitzel. I deviated from the pack and got the paprika spicy variation. I wasn't disappointed. The schnitzel was perfect and topped with the spicy sauce and grilled peppers. Yum! Did I mention cold German beer? The meal comes with a salad bar but diner beware you're gonna get A LOT of food with your main. Tread lightly on the salad bar or you'll have a hard time finishing both! Great company great service and incredible food. This is a keeper if you're in the neighborhood! BTW. If you want the house strudel, you'd better get there before 8 pm. We didn't and it was all gone. Too bad too because it's supposed to be outstanding. Of course the saving grace is, I had no place to put it I'd they had it....I was crazy full already.

We sat on the patio with the pup and had a very enjoyable evening. The patio is covered for the most part with large umbrellas. Servers are called to the table through a push button on the table. We had great service. I had the red wine - semi dry. It was very good. Little sweet but full of flavor. This paired nicely with the medium rare garlic buttered rumpsteak, which was cooked perfectly. We also tried the Emma's High Tower Burger. It was delicious with a variety of flavors. If you are hungry, this one will not disappoint. One thing I have noticed is the veggies as so fresh here!

WOW!!! If you're looking for some great food and you're in the Ramstein Area... you have GOT to hit The Big Emma Restaurant!!! I ordered the Lavastein (Hot Stone), Calf Steak where you cook your own steak... I started the meal with their fresh salad bar, for which I absolutely loved their Sun dried tomatoes in Olive Oil and their Cabbage. Then the meal came out!!! You could hear the sizzling of the meat as our waiter came through the restaurant... there it was, a large beautifully cut tender steak on a blistering hot stone!!! On top of the steak was a little Sea Salt and a twig of rosemary, there was also a twig of rosemary on the stone... the aroma of the rosemary and steak was very inviting causing my mouth to water!!! The plate had 3 dipping sauces for your steak which consisted of a seasoned tomato paste, seasoned hollandaise sauce and a seasoned garlic sauce. It has been many years since I have had something similar to this and I don't remember it tasting this GOOD. Of course I didn't let the steak cook long as I love my steaks Med Rare. The meat melted in my mouth it was that tender... the meat tasted so good by itself that I barely even touched the dipping sauce!!! I will definitely be back... Excellent Food with large portions for your money.

The reason was fantastic, which is that he grills the steaks slow and low, some for five hours. He had some steaks in the works, so we could come in. Our group was five, including a child. We had three steaks. 1. Australian rump. 2. Australian rib eye. 3. Irish rib eye. Harry came over to the table about four times during our two hours there. He first introduced himself, then explained how he ended up in this business and where the steaks come from. He came over to check on how the meal was going. Just the absolute best steak dinner we / I have ever had. It cost a pretty penny, but I'm thrilled we did it. All three steaks prepared medium rare I would say. We had some starters, and only one side, which was sweet potato fries.

From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a great night out, and the staff keeps that energy going with attentive, genuinely friendly service. The star of the show is absolutely the steak. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully grilled, and served exactly at the temperature requested; it's the kind of quality you usually only find at high‑end steakhouses. The sides are just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chimichurri deserves its own shout‑out; it's bright, bold, and elevates everything it touches. Drinks are well‑crafted, portions are generous without being over the top, and the pacing of the meal feels thoughtful rather than rushed. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to a seriously good dinner. In my 61 years of life, I will say that this was in the top 2% of all steaks I've ever had. My wife, who likes the occasional steak, who, over the last 25 years I have coached down from hard medium well (ruined) steaks to medium-medium rare steaks ordered a 200g filet cooked medium well upon the servers advice. She described it as unbelievable and it was cooked to a perfect juicy pink. The salad that comes with the steak is offered with a yogurt or other type of dressing... I don't eat dressing so I chose neither and they brought out a vial of olive oil and another of balsamic vinegar in case I wanted something different. I didn't but my wife wished she could have had that. We ordered a baked potato to share... it was cooked just right. Each meal also came with two slices of garlic toast. The service was exceptional and the price was incredibly low. I had tap water to drink, my wife had sparkling water and a glass of wine - the tab was 78 Euros I believe. This photo is of my 300g steak. Magnificent experience.
