Interesting concept "The Island" is which has a walk through into the Lily Pulitzer store. This popular retail clothing store is on 7th street, where one would find restaurants banks, retail stores, coffee shops, and other popular collections. It's a wonderful store with a variety of selection from the traditional Lily Pulitzer line to the "Island type clothing. Rude and pretentious is an understatement. I received a sweater as a gift for my daughter and it was too big so I figured I could exchange it for a smaller size. The sweater is in stock and same price etc. You would think me asking this was an unreasonable request bc it wasn't within their 21 day window. So we can all get this straight; if someone receives a gift from this store, they are supposed to know your return and exchange policies? I was able to exchange the sweater but they also asked for the name of the person who bought the sweater as well as my name and my address...all for a baby sweater. Cute stuff but not anything out of this world you can't just buy direct from the brand online. I probably won't be back just based on the lack of friendliness and pretentious attitudes of the workers. read more

Horrible customer service. No one asked if I needed assistance. When I asked to speak with the store manager I was told there was none. One lady in the store who said her name was Ingrid was rude and rather dismissive. The other women were apologetic when I expressed my concerns but "Ingrid" went further by apologizing to other customers in the store defending her coworker stating "this is the nicest lady you could ever meet". This store has horrible customer service. Tried to return an expensive dress with all tags on less than 24 hrs after purchase and was told no returns-only store credit. It would have been appropriate to share that info prior to making the purchase! The dress being returned was for a wedding as discussed with the saleswoman when I tried it on. She knew the occasion and was told I'd take it home and try it on for my final decision. She had numerous opportunities to advise me on her return policy. In my opinion she's a thief! When trying to return the dress I asked for a store manager only to be told I was speaking with her. (The same as the saleswoman) When I was shopping she was all over me trying to upsell me and less than 24 hrs later she acted like she never saw me before and didn't recall our conversation regarding the occasion. My suggestion is DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS SHOP!!! Do your buying on line. I've purchased and returned Lilly items before without an ounce of aggravation. This woman obviously has no confidence in her store that she feels so threatened by a return! I'm fortunate that I work with several local influencers and I'll be filling them in on my experience so that they spread the word to stay away! Despicable staff. Most of the store revenue comes from their policy of no returns/exchanges after 21 days. Because the business specializes in gifts, and recipients would have no way of knowing their return policy, they're essentially operating a scam. And because of their prominent baby selection, it's a particularly disgusting scam. read more

I was just in there with my 2 year old daughter. shopping for her as we are going away to celebrate her birthday. she was holding on to a little piano keychain and a wolf light. as she's playing with it, the store manager approached her and snatched it out of her. she stated "I don't want her to break this". the lady stormed off and put it away. I explained that the reason she was holding on to them it was because it was the only one and we were purchasing it. my daughter began crying. the lady did not care and did not apologize. I told her I'm the adult and the mother and she speaks to me. she can address her concerns with me and not my 2 year old. she blaintly told me that's my assumption and she was not sorry. Her employees apologized in her behalf. They said she was the boss and she's ruthless and unprofessional with every customer that goes in there. I do not recommend her store based on her treatment towards a child. It was ruthless and unprofessional. She lacks customer service skills and should not be running such a beautiful store. read more

They seem to want keep (STEAL?) your money without providing a product, based on both my experience and those cited in various reviews below. There are better places to shop that actually care about clients and don't try to steal their money. Bought a gift for my wife, tried their local shop to support it v online, even before pandemic hit, and my wife returned it for credit. Then Covid hit, and due to a child with a serious brain injury that makes Covid extremely dangerous, we have not shopped in person until today. They refused our credit; said it expires, and they were also unnecessarily rude to my wife - consistent with the reviews below. So they took our money and provided no product, also consistent with lots of other reviews below. I will give the owner one shot at rectifying the situation, and hope that this is the fault of her rude staff, Nicole. If she resolves it, I will remove this review. If I could give zero stars I would. Utterly unacceptable customer service. No manager. Run by children. Tried to exchange a gift that was given to me 1 week prior and by the time I could exchange it it was five days overdue their two week return policy. I had just been given the gift! No exceptions not even to change the size. It doesn't even fit. Not a way to run a business. Asked to speak to manager or the owner and was given the run around. Enraging return/exchange policy. Received baby clothes as a gift for my newborn daughter but they are the wrong size. I wanted to exchange for a bigger size and I was told no because it's been more than 30 days since the gift was bought (36 days to be exact). Running to this store in the first 4 weeks of my baby's life was not a priority, obviously. Ridiculous they were not understanding . I don't see the harm in simply letting me exchange the exact same item for a bigger size. Now these beautiful clothes will go to waste. Such a shame because I would have bought baby gifts here in the future for friend's future babies but now I never will, knowing that if busy mothers with children or newborns can't get to the store within 30 days, they're shit out of luck! My go to for gifts for new moms! Their embroidered and personalized baby blankets and hats are beautiful, if even a little pricey. But you do pay for quality. A little too expensive to shop for clothes for myself, but I can't say I don't love shopping here for others! read more

I was looking to a support a local business by purchasing a few gifts from this store. It looked so cute from the outside that i decided to go in. However, the customer service/staff was horrible. I was looking around the store and no one said hello or asked me if I needed assistance. Instead they followed me around the store and glared at me the entire time. I felt so uncomfortable, i left. She told me she would mail me a GWP if I paid full price. So, I made the purchase but she did not mail the GWP. I reached out to her and she still refused to honor her word. I paid for merchandise online and it was never delivered. I purchased an item for $158 + $7 shipping for 2-6 day shipping as advertised. After almost a month my package never arrived, this is called fraud- I pay a merchant for something and it is never delivered. I emailed with their customer service who assured me "it was coming" when I can see the tracking number myself and know it has been lost for over 3 weeks. The customer service is so bad I'm assuming that's $165 I'm never getting back. After asking very politely and reasonably over 3 times in a written email correspondence they still refuse to refund my order, that I never received. Do not order anything from online here, and as many of the other reviews state, the return policies are atrocious. I will be filing a fraudulent claim with my credit card company as well as a fraud and false advertisement claim with the FTC and BBB. This is unacceptable and consumers have rights not to be robbed of their money. read more

Beautiful store with adorable children's clothes. I have gotten clothes for years (They used to have another location) for my kids and gifts. They also monogram. However I won't be going back. As other reviews have stated, their customer service is just awful. The people who work there are just not nice and not really helpful. Their return policy is so wrong. I love this store. It is actually three stores together. One is for the beautifully displayed Lily Pulitzer clothing and accessories. Then it flows to the middle store with a lovely selection of baby and children's clothes which you can get monogrammed, and then the next part is for other lines of men and women's clothes. I always tell friends if it is a cold, dreary day or you just want cheering up, go to The Pink Island. It is like going to Disneyland. Besides the selection of the latest styles when buying a gift, they wrap it for free. read more

I won a $50 gift certificate at a fundraiser. I did not realize that the "expiration date" on the gift certificate was one month after the event. I went to the store within a month after the expiration date and was told they would not honor it. They have lost a customer. read more

they messed up my order twice and didn't even have the courtesy to call me and let me know instead let me drive there 2 times for my order to not be ready in which nobody apologized. They are extremely unorganized and have horrible customer service. 10/10 would not recommend. read more
