The Class: Japanese Sweets class, making mochi. $20 for 1.5 hours class. The class is inside the Japanese Foundation (one of the classrooms). 7 tables set up, 5 students each table. There is no kitchen there, the only kitchen equipment is microwave which is going to use for making the mochi outer white layer. The instructor is very knowledgeable and class pace is manageable. However, the ingredients they have prepared each table is so little. Each student only got to make two mochi (one pinapple strawberry and one strawberry filling). Mochi outer layer and red bean paste are not enough to share among 5 students too. The Parking: Street metered parking (2 hours). Residential free street parking behind the building (2 hours)

In fact, about 18 months after beginning, I was able to teach a music clinic in Italy to Italians, mainly in Italian. I have no aptitude for language, and I owe this completely to the school. All I did was simply follow the homework assignments, and practiced a few minutes a day every day. Currently Sylvia is my teacher I had and she is great! The front office is also excellent. They are very accommodating, kind and thoughtful. When I was injured they called me specifically to see how I was doing. The owner is a very nice woman also. They all add a nice personal touch. Classes are affordable and you can take makeups for classes you miss, so the value is excellent. It has been a dream of mine to learn Italian. I highly recommend this school if you live in Los Angeles!

Claudia was immediately available to give me an assessment over the phone and suggested a range from Intermediate 3-5, and let me know I could move up or down if it was too challenging or not enough, walked me through billing etc. She was so sweet and super helpful, correcting my sentences after my attempts to translate what she asked. Thanks Claudia! You are amazing :) So exited to start on Tuesday!

Pros: - the academics are excellent, especially when it comes to learning to read. - cannot say enough good things about Ms. Gia! - they enjoyed coming to school and loved their teachers - there is a true commitment to the value of bilingualism Opportunities for growth which I don't think could be learned from a tour or handbook: - traditional binary gender stereotypes are reinforced with explanations or comments like "boys like to play more rough" - there is a missed opportunity to engage with parents as equal partners who can add value. - I wouldn't mind sacrificing the academics a bit for more time spent on social emotional content, such as how to navigate conflict on the playground or being inclusive of all classmates or celebrating growth and transitions Would I choose a different preschool if I had to do it all over again? I don't think so. We would still have chosen this school. It was a solid start to our children's school experiences.

The biggest, loudest red flag is their snack menu: skinny POPCORN and RAISINS, two of the most commonly known choking hazards. The admin confirmed their snack schedule is up to date, and indicated "nothing has ever happened before" when questioned about the popcorn and raisins. Well, I'm glad none of the kids under your supervision have choked as a result, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Any decent preschool / day care would not endanger their littles. On top of that, the teachers looked tired and the playrooms underwhelming. I observed a couple of children practicing writing, yet they seemed dim and not as engaged or as happy as other kids I've observed at other schools. No, I would not recommend this place. I would stay far away.

From the moment we walked through…read morethe doors, we felt the warmth, care and sense of community that makes this school so special. The teachers are incredibly nurturing, attentive and genuinely invested in each child's growth and happiness. The nature based environment encourages creativity, exploration and love of learning, while the academic program provides a wonderful foundation for kindergarten. One of the things we appreciate most is how much emphasis is placed on the whole child. The children enjoy organic meals, hands on activities, gardening, music, movement and meaningful social-emotional learning experiences every day.our child has grown tremendously in confidence, independence and curiosity since attending.

When I asked, they didn't know. Despite promises of organic food, they gave store-bought snacks, and they wouldn't allow us to bring homemade meals. The class sizes were larger than claimed, and teacher coverage was inconsistent. One particular teacher's presence made my child anxious, and he'd cry at the sight of her shirt. One day, I noticed blood on his clothes; I was told he fell, but supervision was lacking. After a year, the only things he learned were negative habits. The fees varied by family, not fairness. I hope this honest review helps other moms find the safe, loving environment every child deserves.
