I'm a big fan of stouts, so I had an Irish stout so tasty I had to take a second home. RB taught me a really cool fact, too: if you buy the booze to go it's almost half the cost! This place has a great vibe, kind regulars at the bar who are happy to strike up a conversation, AND RB has recently invented a new shot that is a real panty-dropper, the "Muscle Mommy." Friday nights is the meat raffle: you buy tickets for $1 each and can win really nice cuts of meat (or vegan meats for the veggies). The proceeds go to a different charity or cause each week. Monday nights are bingo with one of the best callers in the game. They do Narcan training with the Coalition for Community Safety. They contribute more to the neighborhood than they take. The food pop-ups are always good. I think about the fish fry all year long. There are fun special events like Beef Fest when the yard was turned into a wrestling ring.
